Meeting Wigglytuff himself was...an interesting affair, that was for sure. May supposed that when she imagined what he might be like, she had pictured someone kind of scary. It surprised her then when he seemed to be the bubbliest, most cheerful, even adorable, guildmaster. Even then, it was easy to see that there were doubts among them about how capable they would be of forming an exploration team together. Still, they were encouraged to sign up, despite wondering just how tough it would be. Despite his positive attitude though, the two girls couldn't deny that they still had some of their own doubts about how well this would go. May especially was still adjusting to how different this world was. And of course, it was a struggle, not having any memories that she could clearly recall. Regardless, they were officially welcomed to the guild, and they would soon start embarking on missions.
Later that day, after their registration, Chatot guided the girls to a corner within the guild. There were two large piles of hay that were arranged to look like beds. "This is your room!" Chatot announced. Serena and May sat down on their beds.
"Well it's great that we're getting a place to sleep." The former noted.
"Of course. All apprentices get their own accommodations here. We made your beds a bit bigger since you're humans and taller than most Pokémon. Anyways, you will live here while you work for us. Things will start getting busy for you tomorrow! So rise early and start living up to our code! Don't stay up late. Get to sleep early tonight! That is all." The musical bird jovially explained this and then left Serena and May to their own devices. As it was already evening, the two girls decided to talk and get to know each other more. They examined the gifts Wigglytuff had given them, placed the Oran Berry and Pecha Berry they had found in Beach Cave into their Treasure Bag, and arranged the makeshift beds to be more to their liking before reclining to talk to each other.
"So May, do you remember anything about yourself at all apart from what you said earlier when we came up with our team's name?" Serena started the discussion. "I remember that I'm from a place called Vaniville Town in the Kalos region. Though I wasn't near home when I got lost in this world. And that my mom is a Rhyhorn racer. I really miss her to be honest. Do you remember anything like this?"
May closed her eyes and started to think and see if she could remember anything. To her surprise some details did emerge in her mind. "I think I'm from a place called Petalburg City, where my dad is the local gym leader. I also remember having a little brother named Max."
"Petalburg City. I know where that is, it's in the Hoenn region."
"Yep. I remember that too. And my mom's cooking is amazing. And I traveled around Hoenn and Sinnoh and I also love shopping."
"Nice. What do you like to buy?"
"Oh, lots of clothes and other things."
"Just like me!"
The girls continued their back and forth questioning as they got to know each other more. And Serena also made a point of telling May about how things worked in the world they now called home.
"So May, since we live in a world where Pokémon are the dominant life forms, we have to be careful. Sure they all somehow know what humans are and many of them will treat us no differently from other Pokémon but there are some that will see us as threatening or less than equal because we're human."
"Yeah, those two bullies from earlier today said they targeted you just because you're human. And Chatot seemed a little bit dismissive of us for that, though Wigglytuff didn't seem to mind."
"Oh I'm used to Pokémon like Chatot sometimes treating me like a baby just because I'm human, it's the ones like Zubat and Koffing I rarely encounter and when I do, it always makes me sad." Serena lamented. "But more than that, you have to be careful because even when I first arrived in this world, I encountered some Pokémon, almost always male ones, who seem a bit…well…excited, to see me." Serena blushed as she explained. "They'd try to capture me or try to touch me and I get the feeling that they'd want to see me naked. And as I got older, I got even more attention from them. Sometimes it would be nice, like when they offer me free food or give me things. Other times they'd offer to let me stay with them only to try constricting or tickling me or trying to give me a forceful kiss. Sometimes they'd even try to tear my clothes off."
May sympathized with her friend. "Don't worry Serena. Now that we're together I'm sure we can protect each other from any creeps we encounter." She leaned forward and hugged the blonde, causing her to blush. "Besides, if those pervs want to see us naked so bad, I've got a trick for them…" She then lifted up her bra, revealing her well-formed breasts. Serena's eyes widened and her blush got redder as she saw them. They're so big! And the same size as mine! Or maybe even bigger! She thought to herself. May winked and grabbed Serena's head. "Here's how I plan to deal with any Pokémon perverts we encounter that try to touch us." She then put Serena's head in between her breasts and squeezed her breasts onto her head for a minute. After she finished, Serena had a massive smile on her now crimson face and her eyes had a glazed look. "Well, it works on girls too! And I can see why crimson was a good word choice in our team's name." May teased. "I call that a Puff Puff. Maybe you could try it too?"
Serena shook her head and got out of her stupor. She blushed and looked at May. Then she smiled and took off her own top, revealing her pink bra, before she removed that as well. May then got nervous. "Serena, wait, I was only joking when I said you could try it—" She was cut off when she felt Serena grab her head and pull it in to her own cleavage. Serena's breasts were slightly smaller than May's but they had a similar feel and the main difference was that her nipples were pink in contrast to May's which were light brown. The blonde Kalosian squeezed her breasts onto the brunette Hoennian's head on both sides and by the time she was done May also had a deep blush on her face and a huge smile. Serena teased the girl. "And your face has a hue like velvet. CrimsonVelvet was the perfect name for us after all."
The two girls still sat there, topless. They were silent for a minute but then May broke the silence by laughing, and Serena quickly joined in. The blonde however, decided to get back to their earlier topic. "Well May, since we're in a world full of Pokémon, we have to know how to fight like a Pokémon. Do you have an idea of how Pokémon fight in this world?"
"Sort of. I remember when we fought Zubat and Koffing we both used certain moves and also, we could just punch or kick them as a 'regular attack' right?"
"Yep!" Serena confirmed. "And all Pokémon can have a lot of moves but for some reason they can only maintain four at a time. So I think out of fairness and to show them we're equal to them, we should maintain four moves at a time as well."
May nodded in understanding. "Ok, I think that makes sense. But if we're gonna act like Pokémon, shouldn't we have our own types or abilities too?"
"Well, since I've been here for several years, I sort of got the feeling that sometimes I have my own 'typing' and 'ability' depending on what I'm wearing and I even decide to limit what moves I use each outfit." Serena put her pink bra back on. "When I'm wearing just this pink bikini, I see myself as a Water and Psychic type and so far most Pokémon seem to agree. And I feel like I'm faster in the rain since this is meant for swimming so I think I have the ability Swift Swim. And when I'm just wearing my bikini, I feel like I can swim whenever I want."
"And what moves would you say you have when you're in your bikini?"
"I'd say Dive since I can just dive in water and come out to attack, Aqua Cutter since I can lunge at someone in or near the water and send out a wave, Heart Stamp since I can pretend to be cute and then strike when they're least expecting it, and Lovely Kiss since most Pokémon can't seem to resist me so I can easily put them to sleep with a kiss when I'm in my bikini." Serena blushed. "And I've also considered fighting naked since Pokémon don't wear clothes but I haven't done so yet since I know some of them would probably get WAY too excited if I did that. But I've thought it over and I decided if I did that I'd be a Normal type with the ability Cute Charm since they'd probably be too fixated on me. And I'd have as my four moves Faint Attack to fool the opponent and attack when they least expect it, Focus Punch to really punch them with a lot of concentration and payback for ogling me, Quick Attack to rush in really quick since I don't like the idea of being naked for too long, and finally Puff Puff since you gave me the idea!"
May giggled in response. "I thought of that since you said so many Pokémon will be attracted to us I might as well take advantage of that. I'm sure that whenever I give a Pokémon a Puff Puff he'll be so stunned and be both paralyzed and attracted that he'll be easy for us to take down. Though you usually don't see many female Pokémon attracted to you right, Serena?"
"No, almost never." She then put her Fennekin top back on. "Anyways, I don't know why but I really like the Pokémon Fennekin. Even though they're supposedly almost never seen around here. So I decided early on I'd dress like a Fennekin. And when I'm wearing this outfit I feel like I'm a Fire type with the ability Flash Fire so I'm immune to Fire type moves and can walk on magma." Serena smiled as she thought of the prospect of doing so. "And when I fight in this outfit, my main move is Fire Punch, which I used to take out those bullies in Beach Cave. But I can also use Disarming Voice to sing and hurt any Pokémon around me and also Helping Hand to give you a boost and Attract to charm an opponent." She winked at May as she said the last part. May winked back. "But tell me May, have you considered how you're going to fight and what typing and abilities you'd give yourself?"
May put her bikini top back on. "I think I'll be like you and consider myself a Water type in this bikini and a Normal type if I'm naked. I think Water Veil would be a good ability for me in this bikini and since I'll be able to swim it shouldn't be a problem. And when I'm nude, maybe Limber would be a good ability since I'm flexible. And you saw me use Smack Down on that Zubat so I'll keep that when I'm wearing a bikini and also Aqua Jet while rushing forward and Waterfall by doing an uppercut with water. And Puff Puff both in my bikini and when I'm nude. And when I'm nude I'll go with Blaze Kick since my body will be hot anyway, Play Rough to really rough up who I'm fighting, and Sucker Punch to get them when they're too busy looking at me."
"That sounds like a great move set."
"Thanks. I hope I can get another outfit as well. Having only two seems so restrictive."
"Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get another one sometime. Anyways, you also know about IQ right?"
"You mean how smart someone is?"
"Well yes, but in this world, IQ also determines certain skills you can have. If you have high IQ you can get special skills such as scaring another Pokémon into not attacking by just looking at them or not suffering anything if you eat rotten food or even getting more Poké just by picking it up. Some Pokémon can't even evolve unless they have high IQ. And they raise their IQ by eating things called gummis, which are apparently in dungeons everywhere."
"Sounds neat. Can't wait to try them myself."
The girls suddenly realized that their room was darker than it was before. They looked outside and saw that the sun was setting. "Guess it's time for us to sleep then. Chatot did say we have an early day tomorrow." May agreed. "Yeah, I didn't imagine I'd be apprenticing here with you at this guild in a world full of talking Pokémon. I gotta admit, it seems exciting and I'm having a lot of fun being friends with you, Serena."
"I feel the same! My heart's been racing all day over every little thing... But I'm glad I finally made myself come here. I thought Wigglytuff would be scary, but he seems pretty friendly. We're going to experience all sorts of things starting tomorrow, but I'm not very scared. In fact, it's the other way around. I'm super excited about the adventures we'll face!"
"But at the same time, I still don't know how I ended up here and why I was on that beach unconscious, and you don't know how you ended up here either even though you still have your memories mostly intact. This makes me worried a bit."
"Well May, we can work on figuring that out later. Right now we should sleep." Serena leaned closer to the brunette. "In fact, I have a little 'thank you' for helping me get back my Relic Fragment today. Lovely Kiss!" Serena gave May a gentle but sudden peck on the lips, knocking her out and putting her to sleep in an instant.
"Let's give it our all tomorrow. OK, May. Good night."

May and Serena slept peacefully in their beds. But this respite was about to be destroyed in an instant.
"HEY! HEY THERE! RISE AND SHINE!" An obscenely loud voice boomed in the room, shocking the two human girls awake. Yet, despite the voice being loud enough to nearly blast their eardrums, the two girls couldn't get up.
"Ugh, my poor ears." Serena moaned.
"Why are you still ASLEEP?! WAKE UP!" A purple being with a large square mouth and round ears stood before the dazed girls. "C'mon! Snap OUT of it! I'm Loudred! And I'm a fellow apprentice! If you're late for our morning briefing, you'll be SORRY! So MOVE it! Guildmaster Wigglytuff has got a BIG temper. If you make him lose it... YOWEEE! That would be one very scary scene! I've got goose bumps just thinking about it! YEESH!" Loudred shivered as he thought about the idea. "So ANYWAY... I'm not about to get in trouble because you rookies got up LATE! SO GET IT IN GEAR! I don't care if you're humans! I'm treating you the same as everyone else here!"
As the loud purple Pokémon walked away May and Serena started to regain their bearings.
"Urk! My ears are still ringing... What did he say? Something about getting ready?" May groaned with dizziness. But Serena suddenly snapped out of it in realization.
"Er... Oh yeah! We signed up as apprentices at Wigglytuff's guild, that's right! But that means... Waaaah! We totally overslept! We've got to hurry, May!"
"But shouldn't we get ready first?"
"We're in the Pokémon World, remember? They don't care how we look! Let's go!"
The two girls rushed out into the lobby of the guild. Chatot was there, standing near the door to Wigglytuff's room. There were eight other Pokémon assembled before him. As May and Serena arrived, Loudred yelled at them. "You're LATE, rookies!" Chatot immediately chastised him.
"Hush! Your voice is ridiculously loud!" The hulking beast sulked in response.
"Now since everyone is finally here, Guildmaster! The guild is in full attendance!" The bird called out to Wigglytuff, who came out of his room, appearing to be half-asleep, something that the other apprentices seemed to notice, though they didn't say anything. As Chatot glossed over Wigglytuff's grogginess as words of wisdom, he directed the apprentices to chant their morning cheers.
"Let's conduct our morning cheers everyone, since we have two new apprentices, we need to make sure they learn them. All together now! "
"ONE! DON'T SHIRK WORK!
TWO! RUN AWAY AND PAY!
THREE! SMILES GO FOR MILES!"
"OK, Pokémon! Get to work! "
"HOORAY!"
May and Serena observed the display in curiosity, wondering if they could handle doing this ritual every day. As the apprentices all went their separate ways, May and Serena were left bewildered. Chatot noticed this.
"Hey, you shouldn't just be wandering around there. You two come here. " As Chatot went up the ladder to the Guild's Bulletin Board level, May and Serena followed him. The musical bird led the girls to the left side of the room.
"You're just beginners. We'll have you start off with this assignment. " He gestured to the board. "This is the Job Bulletin Board. Pokémon from various regions post job requests here. You're aware that bad Pokémon are cropping up in greater numbers, right?"
"Not really, I just arrived here yesterday."
"It's like this May." Serena started to explain. "A lot of weird things have been happening in this world lately. This world is full of places called mystery dungeons. You know how we got my Relic Fragment back yesterday? The place where we found it was a mystery dungeon. A mystery dungeon changes each time you go into it. There's a different layout and different items every time you enter! If you faint in the middle of a dungeon, you lose half your money... You can even lose half your items or more...Finally, you get kicked right out. They're very strange places. But every time you go inside one, there are always new things to discover! They really are fantastic places to go exploring! And that's why everyone wants to become an explorer or admires exploration teams because we can explore these mystery dungeons. But the problem is, there seems to be some anomalies lately, some people think it's because of the flow of time getting messed up and causing some Pokémon to go crazy or for natural disasters to appear and these make mystery dungeons more dangerous."
Chatot ruffled his feathers. "You're a very informed young lady Serena." I might have misjudged her for being human. He thought to himself. "That makes things much easier for me to explain! Time getting out of whack has caused an outbreak of bad Pokémon. Perhaps because of all that... We have noticed an increase in the number of jobs. We have all sorts of jobs, mainly for the rescue of Pokémon trapped in mystery dungeons but also for other forms of help. Either way, jobs all take place in mystery dungeons. So... let's look for a job that you should perform! " Chatot perused the bulletin board before grabbing a sheet of paper off of it. "Ah, yes. Maybe this will do?" He handed the job request to May and she and Serena opened it.
"Hello! My name is Spoink!
An outlaw has run off with my most prized possession. My precious pearl! That pearl is life itself... to me! I just can't seem to settle down if that pearl isn't in its proper place atop my head!
But I've heard my pearl has been sighted! It's said to be on a rocky bluff. But this bluff is reported to be extremely unsafe. I could never go somewhere so frightening! Oh, friendly readers! Would you be so kind as to go to the bluff and get my pearl?"
As the two girls finished reading. May seemed worried.
"Wow, this seems serious. Isn't Spoink the type of Pokémon that would literally die without its pearl?" Chatot nodded.
"Good to see you understand the seriousness of this job! Time to get on with it. Now, Serena already mentioned this but I'll repeat the warnings again to make sure they stick! You'll be forced out of a dungeon and sent back here if either of you faints. You'll lose half your money! And you could lose half your items or more. You'd best be careful! Drenched Bluff is located right about here." Chatot pointed to a spot on the girls' Wonder Map. "Time to prove yourselves worthy of Wigglytuff's Guild, Team CrimsonVelvet!"
