When Kirito stepped of the Airship to Beacon Academy all he found himself able to do was look around in awe. He had expected a regular looking university building. Similar to those in America he had been planning to attend. Beacon was a far cry from that. Just the courtyard itself was massive, The architecture of the place almost ressembled an old english castle with the centerpiece being a massive tower with many green lights. Kirito assumed this was the "Beacon" from which the academy got its name. The place was incredibly impressive to him and he couldn't believe that this is where he would be spending his next however long he was stuck in the STL.

He was dragged out of his thoughts by a whistle from Yang "Damn the view from Vale has got Nothin on this place" She observed looking around impressed

Kirito nodded "No kidding" he muttered to himself

Ruby on the other hand was looking around at the other students before letting out an excited gasp "Guys! Look! He's got a collapsible staff!" She practically yelled before continuing "Ooooh and she's got a fire sword!" she exclaimed excitedly as she began to gravitate towards the weapons

Kirito laughed at the Reapers' antics while Yang just looked confused as she grabbed her by her hood and pulled her back towards the two of them. "Calm down little sis. They're just weapons"

Ruby looked at her incredulously, "Just weapons?!" She nearly yelled "They're an extension of ourselves! A part of us!" Oh they're so cool!".

"Right but you're getting excited over a staff?" Kirito asked looking at her confused "Ruby you literally have A scythe that turns into a sniper rifle. If that's not the coolest damn weapon at beacon academy I'm leaving before the first class" He told her. Gesturing to the weapon attached to her back.

"Aww thanks Kirito" Ruby smiled at him "But you're missing the point!" She continued "It's like meeting new people. But way easier!" Ruby explained "and better" she said under her breath.

"Ruby, come on, we're at Beacon academy!" Yang told her "Why don't you go try and make some friends" Yang suggested. Looking at something over Ruby's shoulder. A smile appearing on her face

"But why would I need friends when I have you and Kirito?" Ruby asked confused as to what her sister was implying. Kirito was also curious as to where Yang was going..

"Well…" Yang began before taking off in a sprint to go catch up to a group of people "My friends are over there gotta go catch up take care bye!" Yang called without taking a breath.

Kirito just stood there shocked at the display as he saw the mass of blonde hair disappear into the distance. "Did she just…. Ditch us?" He asked genuinely confused at what had just happend.

Ruby seemed stunned for a second before yelling "Wait where are you going? Are we supposed to go to our Dorms? Where are our dorms? Do we even have dorms?"

Ruby called the series of questions after Yang as she tried to process what had happened as she kept turning herself to try and see where Yang went. In the process she stepped backwards and tripped over herself and fell into a cart of luggage that was right behind her. Kirito laughed to himself before walking over to check on her. Before he could ask if she was ok a shadow loomed over Ruby

"What are you doing!" A voice shrieked

Kirito recoiled instantly at the sheer contempt in the tone. He spun around and saw a girl dressed almost entirely in white. Her pale blue eyes radiated a held in fury. Her hair was pulled back into an off center ponytail and Kirito could tell she put a great deal of effort into perfecting her appearance. The thing that stood out the most to Kirito though was the large scar that ran over her left eye. The weirdest thing was though that Kirito swore he recognized her from somewhere.

"Sorry!" Ruby quickly responded which dragged Kirito out of his thoughts. Ruby sat up but the girl didn't let up her tirade.

"Sorry?!" She yelled again "Do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused" Ruby went to try and help by picking up one of the suitcases she knocked over but the Girl immediately snatched it from her hands with a rude "Give me that!"

Kirito raised an eyebrow at this "Hey calm down. It was an accident and she's trying to apologize" He reasoned.

The Girls eyes snapped over to him. As if she had just noticed his presence "Well if she wasn't such a clumsy dolt we wouldn't be in this scenario would we!" She shot back "Do you have any idea what this stuff is?" She asked as she shook one of the vials she pulled out of her suitcase. Some of the dust made its way out of the vial as she did.

Kirito helped Ruby up as he looked at the vial. He recognised it as fire dust but where was that damn logo from? "It's fire dust right?" He responded "Either way, what's the problem? Nothing bad should happen as long as it's secured properly" He shot back

"What's the problem?" The girl responded, almost confused. Like the problem was obvious, "There's enough dust in those cases to blow all of us off the face of Remnant!" She explained. Her frustration increased by the second.

Kirito was about to respond when he noticed Ruby's face was scrunched up. He turned to ask her if she was ok but before he could do so the girl let out a massive sneeze with a high pitched noise that Kirito likened to the sound of a bullet. The sneeze shot out a cloud of fire dust at the Girl who was completely enveloped in it. Thankfully , at least to him Kirito wasn't caught in it. The vial itself went flying of to another section of the courtyard

"Unbelievable! This is exactly what I'm talking about!" She yelled again. Leaning forward with her hands on her hips

"Look I'm really, Really sorry" Ruby tried. Clearly feeling immensely bad about the entire situation.

"Ugh you complete DOLT!" The girl yelled clearly disregarding any attempt Ruby made to ease the situation "What are you even doing here?! Aren't you a little young to be attending a beacon!?"

It was at this point Kirito felt like the situation had escalated way too far. "Ok I get that you're upset she knocked over your bags but she's done her best to apologize for that" Kirito explained "Why don't you just drop it. Yelling at her further isn't going to help either of you!"

"Drop it!? If she's this idiotic outside of combat can you imagine how she behaves when in combat!?" She shot back. Turning to look at Kirito with her blue-eyes piercing into his soul "This isn't combat school anymore!"

"And I'll bet that she knows that," Kirito retorted. His own anger rose. Normally he was pretty level headed but this girl was starting to get on his nerves "And besides what kind of logic is that!?. She tripped over once and suddenly she doesn't deserve to be here. You're being ridiculous Princess!" Kirito responded. His own stare just as fierce as hers.

"It's heiress actually" Another voice cut into the conversation.

They all looked over and saw that the voice came from another girl who was walking towards them. The girl had long black hair with a black ribbon tied in a bow… Wait, Kirito knew who this was!.

"Long time no see Blake" Kirito greeted the girl. Raising his hand in a small wave.

She glanced over at him. Her face unchanged but she gave him a small nod before redirecting her attention to the heiress while holding up the vial of dust that was sent flying."She's Weiss Schnee. Heiress to the Schnee dust company. One of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world". She explained while staring at weiss.

Kirito's eyes widened in recognition "That's where I recognized that logo from!" He said in realization. During his time spent researching he had naturally looked into the different forms of dust and its capabilities. The name Schnee kept coming up when he did and he eventually looked deeper into the family. He acknowledged that they were the biggest company however some of what his research had suggested that the company used some…. Less than acceptable tactics to say the least

Still, The now named Weiss Schnee stood tall with pride as Blake announced who she was. "Finally, Some recognition," she said. A smirk making its way onto her face. Kirito rolled his eyes. If she didn't have a superiority complex before she definitely did now.

Blake however was unphased by the girl's attitude as she continued speaking "The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners" A smirk appearing on her face as wise looked flabbergasted and the sudden sharp change the conversation had taken.

Kirito and Ruby chuckled to themselves as Weiss struggled to find a response. Weiss let out a loose string of words while trying to come up with a retort. But she eventually gave up and stormed up to blake. Kiritio was almost worried a fight would break out between the two but Weiss simply snatched the vial of dust out of Blakes hand before turning around and storming off. Kirito just watched her go but Ruby quickly stepped forward and called "I promise I'll make this up to you". Kirito shook his head. Even now Ruby was attempting to be nice to someone who had been so rude to her.

Kirito turned around to speak to Blake but Realized she had disappeared. Briefly stunned at how quickly that girl was able to disappear he noticed her walking back down the path she had come from. "Oh hell no, Not this time" He said to himself before running after Blake hearing a small cry of "Where are you going!" from Ruby behind him. Kirito mentally shrugged. She'd forgive him for it later. Probably.

"Blake! Wait up"

Blake stopped walking and looked over her shoulder as Kirito caught up with her. She gave the boy a curious look as he took a second to catch his breath "Kirito right?" She asked "Is there something I can help you with?" She asked cautiously

Kirito stood up straight before answering "I just wanted to thank you for your help back in the forest is all" He explained smiling at her "You took of before Any of us could after all"

Blake stared at him for a short second before a smirk made its way onto her face "Oh. Is that all? The way you were running there I thought it was something urgent" She told him, causing the boy to let out a nervous chuckle and to rub the back of his neck "Still it was nothing. We were all there to pass the exam and we succeeded"

Kirito nodded in response "It was one hell of a fight though. Thank god Eugeo and Alice were there with us. Those two sure can fight, "he said. He paused in between sentences to think but Blake quickly cut in.

"Look Kirito" She quickly said "As … nice. As this is. We have somewhere to be" She reminded him.

Kirito paused for a few seconds "Oh right. Ozpin's speech" He remembered suddenly. He also realized what Blake was doing. It was what he had done himself many times during his earlier days of SAO to avoid other players. "Do you know where we have to go? I kinda ran off before Ruby or Yang could tell me" He told her

Blake nodded. "You need to head to the Training Arena. There's a map of the campus just over there that should tell you where to go" she said pointing to her right.

Kirito followed where she was pointing and saw a notice board with a map pinned to it. Kirito nodded "Alright thanks Bla-" He started but when he turned back to look at her she was gone. Kirito was briefly stunned but couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. It appears Blake was very practiced at getting out of conversations. She would certainly be interesting to see around campus. Kirito made his way over to the map of the campus that Blake had pointed out to him. He was still kicking himself for not sticking with Ruby. He could only hope she would be able to make her own way there.

As he approached the map he noticed that two others were standing looking at the map. Two people that Kirito thought he recognized. One was a boy in Blue with flax-brown hair and the other was a girl with long blonde hair wearing knight's armor. As he drew closer to them he realized he was right and a grin broke out across his face as he called out to the two.

"Eugeo!Alice!"

The two looked up from the notice board and saw him walking up. A wide smile broke out across Eugeo's face and a small smile appeared on Alice's.

"Kirito!Good to see you!" Eugeo responded. Turning fully to face him. "How've you been?"

"I've been good. Spent most of the last few days getting everything prepared to come here" He told him "What about you guys. I know it's only been four days but it feels like forever since we've seen each other".

Alice chuckled "It does. We've also been busy preparing although we've been here for the last three days. As we're students from another kingdom we were given temporary accommodation here" Alice explained "I would imagine you haven't been here for very long?"

"Eh. Only around thirty minutes. I was on the big airship with Ruby and Yang. Yang kinda ditched me and Ruby and then I.. Uh… Kinda … ditched Ruby to catch up with Blake" Kirito explained to the two. Realizing what he had done.

Eugeo chuckled while Alice just let out a small sigh while muttering something that Kirito couldn't quite make out. Alice then seemingly realized what Kirito had said "So you've seen Blake here?" She asked. Kirito nodded in response. "How is she? She disappeared quite quickly after our last encounter"

Kirito shrugged "I honestly don't know." I answered "She seemed ok but one thing is that she's got that disappearing act of hers pretty much mastered." He chuckled "One second I was talking to her and the next she was gone"

"Sounds like her," Eugeo said with a knowing smile. They had all experienced Blake silently ditching them in the middle of the forest after all. "Still it's good to hear she's doing ok. She did help us out after all".

"Anyways Kirito would you like to walk to the training arena with us." Alice offered , Gesturing in the direction the map said the training area. "Ozpin's speech is supposed to start soon"

Kirito smiled "That'd be great actually I was kinda hoping to just tag along with Ruby and Yang and hope they knew where to go but as you may guess that plan kinda fell through" Kirito explained.

"Great, let's get going!. We don't wanna be late after all" Eugeo exclaimed happily as they began to head towards the training center. It occurred to Kirito that Ruby was probably going to be pissed that he ditched her but at the same time he was excited for her to meet Eugeo and Alice!. Besides, Ruby probably wouldn't be too mad at him!. Probably.

The trio found their way to the training area relatively quickly. Only making small talk on the way there. Kirito found the beacon training area to be relatively impressive. Then again he wasn't sure what he was comparing it to. There wasn't really anything similar in SAO or ALO. He likened it to the dojo Suguha trained in. He scanned the crowd trying to see if he could find Ruby or Yang amongst the masses

"Have you found your friends yet?" Eugeo asked curiously. Looking over the crowd with him. Alice was doing the same. Kirito went to respond but before he could he heard a familiar yell to his right.

"YOU!"

"Oh god it's happening again!"

Kirito's head whipped around as he heard Ruby's voice. He finally managed to spot her. She was standing with Yang and … The girl with the white hair from earlier. Weiss was her name right?. She was yelling at Ruby again. Holding up some kind of pamphlet as she lectured her.

"Not again" Kirito deadpanned as he watched the two from afar. Debating internally whether or not he should go and intervene.

"Are those your friends?" Eugeo asked curiously. His gaze fixed on Weiss.

"Kind of" Kirito sighed "The girl in red in Ruby and the Blonde Girl is Yang. They're my friends who I've been staying with. The other girl is.."

"Weiss Schnee" Alice finished. Kirito looked at her, Surprised that she knew who Weiss was. "She's kind of a big deal in atlas. As is the company she represents" Alice explained with a shrug.

"Still that doesn't explain why she's yelling at your friends," Eugeo said, confused at the scene in front of noticed that Eugeos gaze never left Weiss. He couldn't quite make out what Eugeo was thinking. His face held a blank expression that Kirito found impossible to read.

Before Kirito could ask Eugeo what was happening or even go and try to intervene in Ruby and Weiss' argument. The high pitched noise of microphone feedback rang out across the room as Ozpin stood up to make his speech. Kirito looked up at the man. Even after everything he'd seen and done so far Ozpin was by far still the thing that confused him the most.

"I'll… keep this brief," Ozpin began. A neutral look on his face as he scanned the crowd. He briefly made eye contact with Kirito and seemed to pause on him. If only for a second before breaking it and looking straight ahead "You have traveled here today in search of knowledge. To hone your craft and acquire new skills and when you have finished. You plan to dedicate your lives to the protection of the people "Kirito didn't necessarily agree with that statement. While the others there might fit that description, the only reason he was at beacon was to try and find a way out. It's not like he wouldn't help people if he could. But he couldn't help but feel a little selfish because of his motivation "But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, In need of purpose, Direction."

The whole room murmured in response to that statement. Kirito looked over at Alice and Eugeo and they both had frowns on their faces. Kirito didn't think Ozpin was insulting the students, More commenting on their lack of experience. He could tell that the students around him had definitely taken it that way though. "You assume knowledge will free you of this but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only take you so far" Now that Kirito felt was directed directly at him. He was here to learn more about the world and find a way out of the STL. He wasn't sure if he would find the answers he was looking for but it seemed like a good start.

Goodwitch walked up on stage as Ozpin left after his speech "You will all gather in the ballroom tonight; tomorrow your initiation begins. You are dismissed" She said and as she did students began to make their way to the exit of the area.

"Well that's a tone setter" Eugeo sighed.

Alice nodded "Indeed, However I am not anymore worried than I was before his speech. I am confident in my skill. As you both should be" She said gesturing to the two of them

Before Kirito could even respond he heard a voice yelling "Kirito!" from behind him. He turned around and saw Ruby and Yang walking up to him. Ruby herself looked less than pleased with him. Kirito rubbed the back of his neck with a small chuckle "Hey guys how's it going"

"You mean since you ditched me after I exploded!" Ruby accused pointing her finger at him. Kirito put his hands up in defense under the shorter girls glare. Eugeo openly chuckled while Alice hid her smile behind her hand. Ruby seemed to finally notice them and looked at them curiously "Oh… Hi, do you guys know Kirito?" She asked curiously

Eugeo nodded "You could say that. He helped us out during the entrance exam" He explained "I'm Eugeo and my friend here is Alice" He explained offering a handshake which Ruby accepted and Yang did shortly after

"A pleasure" Alice nodded and while not offering them the same handshake she gave them a small smile.

"Oh Right! Kirito mentioned you guys. Apparently you guys have some crazy Skills." Yang remembered "I'm Yang Xiao Long!" She introduced.

"Oh! And I'm Ruby. Ruby Rose" Ruby quickly explained.

Alice nodded "Kirito has spoken about the two of you. Quite highly I might add" She explained as Kirito cheeks reddened slightly in embarrassment. "Especially you Ruby. Making it into Beacon and just fifteen years old is quite an achievement" Alice complimented.

"Oh it was nothing special really. I'm no better than anyone else here" Ruby responded shyly.

"Still it is an excellent achievement and you should be proud" Alice told her.

Kirito smiled as the four chatted. He was thankful that they were getting along. Ruby and Yang were great but talking to Eugeo and Alice was refreshing after only having the two sisters to speak to for so long.

"Anyways" He said interjecting into the conversation "You think there's somewhere around here we can get some decent food. I don't know about you guys but i'm starving"

"Yeah we can head over to the cafeteria" Yang suggested "there's some genuinely good food there"

Kirito nodded and turned to Eugeo and Alice. "You guys wanna join us?" He asked curiously

Eugeo looked over to Alice who sighed before giving a small nod "I think we'll take you up on that. Actually, I haven't eaten since yesterday actually" She said.

With that the four of them headed out to find the cafeteria. Chatting as they went.

It was around 10pm when Alice finally changed into her sleepwear and was getting ready to head to sleep. She was surprised to learn that even though herself and Eugeo had been given accommodation beforehand they were still being made to sleep in the ballroom with the other first years. She would say that she didn't mind but that would be a lie. She wasn't much of a people person as it was so spending the night surrounded by so many of them made her uneasy. Still Eugeo and strangely Kirito's presence made her feel at least a bit better. The three of them were positioned over next to one of the walls of the ballroom. Kirito had decided to stay with them as there wasn't all that much space over with Ruby and Yang.

She sat polishing her sword. A few people had given her strange looks for bringing her weapon with her but she couldn't bring herself to care. The golden blade made her feel safe and maintaining it was one of her top priorities. She briefly glanced up at Eugeo and Kirito. Eugeo was laying back with his eyes closed, attempting to drift off whereas Kirito was reading something on his scroll. Alice realized he wasn't kidding when he said he was looking for knowledge. The Blonde Girl didn't know how the boy had managed to earn her trust as quickly as he did but there was just something about him that… made her want to trust him.

Alice looked up from her blade and scanned the room around her. She spotted blake. Sat reading a book while trying to ignore those around her. She also saw Ruby and Yang. Still sat near the middle of the room. Ruby was writing something on a notepad and Yang was looking around at other students. A grin on her face. It was then that another person caught Alice's eye. She was sitting alone glaring at someone who Alice soon noticed was Weiss Schnee. The Girl had short crimson hair that stopped just above her shoulders and piercing green eyes and Alice couldn't help but recognise her.

"Eugeo, Kirito" She started. Kirito looked up from his scroll and Eugeo opened his eyes and looked at her "Do either of you recognise that girl? The one with the crimson hair who is currently glaring at Weiss Schnee?" She asked

They both looked over at the girl. They looked for a few seconds before Kirito shook his head "No sorry. Like i said I don't know a lot" He told her.

"Same here. I'll admit she looks familiar but I can't put my finger on it" Eugeo told her. "You're right though. She does seem so have it out for Weiss" He agreed

Alice nodded and they all looked over to the Schnee girl to see her get up and head towards where Blake was. She also noticed that Ruby and Yang had walked over and were talking to Blake.

"Oh not again" Kirito groaned as he saw Weiss walking, more marching, over to the three.

"You think another arguments gonna start," Eugeo asked worriedly. He was asked a few seconds later as he watched Weiss walk over and tell the three to be quiet before her and Yang yelled at each other in frustration "Nevermind he sighed"

"Think we should step in?" Kirito asked. Silently observing the argument that had broken out between Weiss and Yang.

Alice was about to say that he shouldn't but her eyes went back to the crimson haired girl as she let out a frustrated sigh and made her way over the four girls. "I think she beat you to it" Alice told Kirito as he noticed it.

"Will you four please shut up. Most people in the room are trying to sleep, "she demanded. She then looked to Weiss "I get that you Schnees are used to being the center attention but if you could drop it for tonight that'd be great"

"How dare yo…" Weiss began to yell before she looked at the girl and seemingly recognised her and a cocky smirk appeared on her face "Oh it's you, Surprised you have the guts to show up here Medina" Weiss shot back

The girl named Medina scowled at Weiss "Same to you Schnee. What did Daddy not want you up in Atlas so he sent you away"

The smirk was wiped from Weiss' face as she stepped forward towards Medina but Ruby quickly got in between the two. "Guys please everyone is trying to sleep so let's just…" She tried but was stopped when Blake blew out her candle removing the only light source on that side of the room. Plunging them into darkness.

Alice sighed "Well it seems that's over with"

Eugeo hummed thoughtfully "Maybe. But I finally remember where I recognise her from though" He told the two.

Kirito looked up in interest, "Oh really?" Eugeo nodded in response "Well don't leave us in suspense" He joked lightly.

Eugeo chuckled quietly "Her name is Medina. Medina Orthinanos. She's from a fairly high class family in atlas. Although the family gets looked down on by a lot of Atlesians because they tend to give a lot of their wealth to help people in mantle. They were on the news a few days ago" Eugeo explained.

"Well that explains the general hostility between her and Weiss" Kirito sighed. "I'm guessing those two have some kind of history judging by how familiar with each other they are"

Alice only nodded in agreement. Eugeo let out a drawn out yawn before speaking "Anyways we should probably head to sleep. Something tells me we've got a long day tomorrow. What with teams being formed and stuff".

"Agreed" Alice said as she sheathed her sword and put it on the ground next to her

"G'night guys" Kirito said as he put away his scroll and laid back in his sleeping bag.

Alice didn't know how he did it but the black swordsman was asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow and inexplicably. Alice felt herself being lulled to sleep by the mere sight of it and soon enough she had drifted off as well.

The next morning went by in a blur for all of them. The three of them found themselves oversleeping and had to be woken up by Goodwitch. This led to a few frustrated insults from Alice and the three had to scramble to quickly get themselves dressed. After a very quick breakfast which was basically the three of them inhaling their food the three quickly made their way to the locker room just as Ruby and Yang left. The three looked at the time and saw they at least had a little time to check their gear and make sure it was in working order.

"I still can't believe we overslept," Kirito grumbled as he inserted a cylindrical object into the bottom of the elucidator.

"Let's hope it's not a trend. If we oversleep for classes all semester then we'd get in massive trouble" Eugeo said, sheathing the Blue Rose Sword and placing it on his hip

"How about we just try to get through today?" Alice sighed, adjusting her armor. "Remember today is an evaluation of our abilities in combat."

"Isn't that what the entrance exam was for though?" Kirito asked curiously. Sheathing both his swords as he did

"Mostly" Eugeo said with a yawn as he stood by the exit "I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Kirito and Alice both nodded as they finished preparing and headed towards the exit with Eugeo. Kirito was still nervous as he had no Idea what the initiation held in store for him but surely it couldn't be that bad…. Right?.

Kirito was confused as to why they were where they were. It was himself and around thirty-nine other students all lined up along a cliff overlooking a large forest. Due to them arriving last Himself, Eugeo and Alice where all stood at the end but he saw multiple people he recognised. Ruby,Weiss,Blake and Yang were all there. As well as that girl from last night, Medina. She looked straight ahead. Almost refusing to look anywhere else. They all took their places on stone slabs as Ozpin began to speak.

"For years, Many of you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the emerald forest" He announced and Kirito knew that the "Many of" part was excluding him.

"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams" Glynda stepped forward and announced "Well allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates. Today" She explained'

Kirito felt a small amount of apprehension at that. He'd known from Ruby and Yang that he'd eventually be put on a team. He just hadn't expected it to happen so soon.

Ozpin then continued to speak "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well" Kirito thought about it and honestly that was a very short list of people. "Ruby,Yang,Alice and Eugeo were basically it. Maybe Blake but he wasn't completely sure on that one. "That being said" Ozpin continued "The first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years"

Kirito sighed. He could only hope he made eye contact with one of his friends first. "After you have partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path. Or you will die. " Kirito gulped at that but realized that it was probably just a scare tactic. There was no way in hell Ozpin would actually let students die "You will be monitored for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"

Only one person raised their hand. A boy with blonde hair but Ozpin seemingly ignored him "Good! Now take your positions"

Kirito quickly drew both his swords. Tai had told him he would need a landing strategy and now he was incredibly thankful to the man for making him come up with one. He got into position. He heard a mechanical whir from the stoneplate below him.

"Oh you gotta be kidding m…" Kirito could only begin as he was the first to be flung into the forest. Sheer panic took over as he went flying above the trees.

One by one the other students were thrown off the cliff into the emerald forest. Ozpin and Glynda watched as it happened. Ozpin took a sip from his coffee all the while only one thought crossed his mind

"I love my Job".
