AN: The second little installment in this series – emphasis on 'little'! Thanks for the feedback on the first one, I'm glad you liked it. This one was inspired by the sudden appearance of Sara's scarves during season six... and a little comment made to Hodges. Hope you like it!

Kiss Kiss, Bye Bye
He waits until they're in the privacy of Sara's apartment before he brings up what's been nagging at him most of the shift. "What was that earlier?"
They're making breakfast, comfortably moving around each other in her kitchen. She pauses in the middle of cutting up mushrooms for their omelets at his words, raising an inquisitive eyebrow. "You're going to have to be a little more specific."
"The 'gray hair' comment to Hodges," he elaborates.
She snorts. "That? That was revenge."
He frowns – her words don't actually clear anything up. "What's that supposed to mean?"
She finishes chopping the mushrooms before turning to face him, hooking one finger in the scarf she's had on all night and pulling it loose. When her skin is bared, she tilts her head a little, giving him a good view of a red mark on the side of her neck.
When he looks up to meet her eyes again, her eyebrows are raised but there's also the hint of a smile on her lips, so he's almost certain she's not too mad.
"Oops?" he tries, making her roll her eyes.
"Right. You knew exactly what you were doing." She turns back to the kitchen counter, using the knife to scrape the mushrooms into the bowl with the eggs before moving to the stove. "You're lucky I could get away with wearing a scarf today."
"I'm sorry," he apologizes, stepping close behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist. "I got a little carried away. Won't happen again, I promise."
She leans back against him for a moment. "Just… nowhere I can't cover with regular clothes, OK?"
He hums, leaning in to place a soft kiss against the mark on her throat. "Well, that gives me plenty to work with."
