As soon as the landing pad was out, Bardock exited the cockpit of the ship and onto the earth of Planet Vegeta. A multitude of others of his kin, armors of various shades and sizes, entered and exited their own crafts.

"Hey Bardock!"

Bardock turned to see Tora, one of his crewmate, ally, comrade, and friend. Tora gave a wave, a smirk on his face. Then he saw the rest of his crew, Borgos, Shugesh, and Fasha.

"Tora! Guys! What is it?"

"We're gonna head down to the hall to report and get some chow and a spar after! You coming?"

Bardock was about to nod in agreement to join his crew, until he realized something. "You guys go on ahead. I'm gonna lay back for a bit."

"Something up?"

Bardock shrugged. "GIne. Haven't seen her in a while since our mission to Imotep."

Imotep was, to simply put it, a scarce planet holding little of value, and a population of only a thousand. Very few warriors of its inhabitants whose power levels barely passed the threshold of 500, their strongest reaching almost to a thousand, passing 900. Bardock and the rest of his crew were assigned there, and the only reason the mission took far longer than expected was the underground bases that half took to hide. Their scouters proved to barely help them in their endeavors, the technology of the inhabitants interfering with the wires and circuitry of the detection tool. What should have been a day to complete had turned to five, and it took Bardock and his crew the rest of the days to locate the power plant, sticking out of the earth that provided them the source of energy, to permanently disable the rest of the underground base. They as one fired a precise wave of energy that caused a chain reaction, a massive explosion of a nuke, uprooting and unearthing them. They split up to make sure that all were dead and those that somehow survived the initial destruction of their homes were quickly disposed of.

Shugesh chucked. "Alright. Hurry your ass though, or else all the grub's going to be taken."

Fasha chimed in. "Tell Gine and that scrawny runt Raditz we said hi!" Borgos nodded.

Bardock raised a hand in a wave as his comrades left for the Grand Hall, a massive complex that stood as a

and then set off, temporarily splitting from his teammates.

Making his way to his home, he could still feel stares and the voices of his brethren departing, returning, or milling about, whispering in hushed tones. He ignored them. He knew what it was about, and it would not do him any favors to dwell on them, brushing off the words "abandonment" and "brother" and "traitor". [1]

As he walked past homes and adjacent buildings, he found himself in the familiar he crossed multiple times when returning back home, turning west again to a familiar row of homes, making his way down the path.

Finally reaching the plot of land that encompassed his home, he heard a distant high pitched voice that came more close as he made his way closer. Turning to see the small figure in the distance, he smirked as the figure scampered in his line of sight. "Raditz!"

"Dad! You're back!" The small bundle slammed into Bardock's gut. The only indication of impact Bardock gave was a grunt.

"Hey, squirt!" Bardock held Raditz in his hands as Raditz's face was buried in his father's stomach. Raditz remained stationary in his hug towards his father for a few minutes, and Bardock had to pry him off. "Okay, shrimp! Off!"

Raditz detached himself from his father, grinning eagerly up at his father. "How was the mission, dad? It was a success, was it? How's Tora, Fasha, Shugesh, and Borgos? Now you're here, can you teach me some of your techniques?"

Bardock chuckled. "One at a time, kiddo." He looked around. "Is your mom at home?"

Raditz nodded. "Yeah, she just came home from the Meat Distribution workplace minutes before you arrived."

"Anyway…" Changing the subject to a topic of his interest, he asked his father. "Can you stay and teach me some of your techniques? How about your Riot Javelin? What about the Rebellion Trigger? Oh! Maybe your Final Spirit Cannon?!"

It had always been Raditz's wish that his father had ample time to stay home and teach some of his techniques. Raditz desired to have his father's techniques to honor him, as well as add a sizable repertoire to his skillset. While most Saiyans of their race often split away from their parents in both physically and influence, developing their own fighting style based on their merits.

Raditz didn't. He did not see the point in splitting away from his father. And with his father being widely recognized and known among the Saiyan Army as one of the most talented of their bottom class, many looked up to him. Raditz was no exception. He wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, though he did not hope to emulate him entirely. Raditz still wanted to build his own fighting style. He did not want to be recognized as "Bardock's kid." He wanted to be known as Raditz, a skilled warrior separate from his father's fame, in his own right. He had Saiyan pride after all.

"What about your technique kiddo? Satay… Saturn…" Bardock could scarcely recall a miniscule indigo ball of energy leaving his son's fingertips as he charged up his energy on a day before the mission to Imotep was assigned to his team when he reported in.

"Saturday Crush!" Raditz whined, narrowed eyes at his father? "Dad! I told you the name of it! How do you not remember?"

Bardock nodded. "Well, did you improve on it?"

Bardock remembered that when Raditz showed him the technique, it was still in development, a small ball of energy that crackled in Raditz's palm that he flung at the skies above their home world. Impressive. He would admit. He remembered he didn't develop his Final Spirit Cannon until around the early ages of his career in his Saiyan Army, and the technique was perfected over a battle just soon after.

Impressive as it might be, there was one flaw Bardock found in observing. Raditz did not have the precise control over the technique. He noticed Raditz's arm that held the energy shook and trembled and when he fired it, it moved ever so slightly in a spastic motion. In a battle or spar, that would become a liability. For now, it was fine, but their race was born and bred for combat, and if Raditz wanted to develop a reliable

Raditz seemed eager, responding almost immediately. "Yeah, I did!"

"Show it to me then." Bardock paused. He might as well get a spar out of it.

"Actually, prove it to me. Fight me."

Raditz stared in confusion. "What?"

"You want to show your old man you got stronger? Prove it." Bardock crouched into a fighting stance.

A wide grin formed on Raditz's face, elated that his father was giving him time. He would not let him down! Raditz crouched into his own fighting stance.

"Wait dad!"

"What?"

"Throw away your scouter! I don't have one!"

Bardock detached the flimsy device from the side of his head, tossing it aside to the ground without losing his smile. He would have to consider putting a request for an upgrade to the living creature detection device. It would be nothing but a nuisance that would get in the way if there was the chance that any other species such as Imotep who possibly had a technology that would interfere with the scouters. Thankfully, all the Saiyans were given the standard issue scouter that the entire Frieza Force military had access to, allowing it to function underwater for those planets that had bodies of water, and various other features, such as linking to other scouters to give all each of them a unique advantage by just one scouter detecting a living energy source, which would signal the other scouters where they were if they were a vast distance away. The discrepancies between higher class and their class seemingly didn't seem to matter and extend to that level of ranks.

Bardock frankly didn't give a shit as most Saiyans would. Class meant nothing to him. One Saiyan can talk trash all they could, but if they can't put up a fight, then they are fools. All bark and no bite. A Saiyan that wanted to talk should speak with their fists.

For a moment there was nothing but silence. Father and son stared into each other, waiting for the first move of either combatant.

Perhaps both got tired of waiting for the other to make the first move, it did not matter. In just a few seconds, the two launched off from the ground in a burst of speed, meeting in the middle with a clash of energy, their forearms crossed .

Bardock saw a fist hurled at his face. He caught the first with ease, then saw Raditz shifting his posture slightly, launching fast kicks at his head. He raised his other arm to block those, then Raditz went to attack once more, launching a barrage of punches at the man's face and chest. Bardock caught most of them, shifting his stance and posture slightly just to dodge the rest. A steady stream that Bardock had no issue being on the defensive, parrying, dodging, blocking. He caught Raditz's fist, a small rush of wind from the force put into it, just a slightest bit indicating that his son fueled his punch to inflict more damage by infusing his ki with it. A smirk on his face, a mocking look of disappointment. "Is that all? Charging at me and expecting to pound the crap out of me with no battle plan in mind?"

Raditz gave a scowl in return for the taunt, his arm trembling to free itself from his father's ironclad grasp at his wrist. Bardock gave a mental shake of his head. He should teach him to better ignore taunts and feints in battle after this spar, even simple ones that mocked his opponents charging in with no plan. It was what most of the higher class Saiyans of their kind… What the fuck was he smiling at?

Raditz's enclosed fist that was just barely centimeters away from his face opened up, and Bardock's eyes widened and face lit up in a purple hue as a ball of energy. Raditz's arm flexed slightly, then crackling purplish sparks began to form on his open palm. The energy coalesced into a small ball that steadily grew larger and larger, until his entire hand was coated and then some more.

"Saturday Crush!" Raditz intoned, and let the energy lose from his hand.

Such a scant distance that Bardock had no time to respond, the impact exploded in his face and Bardock stumbled back, his eyes stinging in pain, stumbling back a few steps.

"Tch!" He sputtered out, clutching his face. Sneaky runt! Dammit! He should have expected that! He assumed the energy charging up in Raditz's fist was intended as a ki fueled punch to his face, but he was wrong. Raditz had been charging up his Saturday Crush, fooling him into blocking and under the assumption that Raditz solely relied on hand to hand combat.

But it was successful. The attack was intended to blind him. His eyes were still stinging.

Bardock now knew Raditz had the option of planning out his next attack and choosing how to engage him. With one of his five senses, four of them essential for combat, gone, Bardock had to concentrate on his other senses and his extensive combative experience, drawing from his career. Unlike most others, who would panic, Bardock was not those fools.

He heard a small shuffle in his right, inclining his head to the east. Nothing. Then south, sounds of movement exploded and rang in his ears.

Then Bardock suddenly lashed out. Reaching behind him, he was rewarded with contact, a surprised squeal of pain. His hold on his son tight, he reached and slammed him on the ground, the impact breaking the ground apart.

The stinging pain in his eyes subsided, and Bardock opened his eyes to see his son, squirming in his grasp, attempting to break free. He smirked. "Gotcha."

Being pinned down and unable to move, and with his father's superior strength, Raditz scowled, accepting his defeat.

Releasing his hold, Raditz got up, brushing the earth off his armor. "Dammit! I was so close! I thought I got you with Wild Sense! One of these days, I'll get you, Dad!"

Bardock chuckled. "Not even years kiddo. Still got a ways to go once you get in the Army."

"It seems like you two are having fun."

Both father and son turned to the wife and mother respectively. Gine stood by the doorway, smiling. So occupied and immersed in their short spar that they had not noticed Gine was the sole audience to it.

"Hi Mom! Dad just got back!"

"I know, sweetie." Gine walked over and knelt down to Raditz, hugging him, despite his cries of protest and pitiful whining at her affection, before turning towards her husband and hugged him, kissing him on the cheek. "Welcome back. How was the mission to Imotep?"

Bardock shrugged, his tail unfurling itself from his waist, returning the hug. "Took a while. Damn people had technology interfering with our scouters and they were living in bunkers."

Gine nodded. Though no longer in the Army, she had her fair share of conquering planets and having some difficulties paired with other Saiyans conquering worlds. "Well, as long as you're back safe and sound…" She paused momentarily. "Would you like to see Kakarot?"

Raditz rolled his eyes from the side, nonchalantly speaking. "Mom, we see him everyday in his incubator capsule. He just eats, cries, and sleeps! It's not like he does anything interesting worth remotely interesting to warrant attention, and has a power level of five. It's not going to change anytime soon."

Gine gave a narrowed look at him. "Raditz! That's your baby brother. It does not matter what power level he has! He was just born a few months ago!" A thoughtful look appeared on her face, along with a teasing grin. "And besides, weren't you just making faces at him for him to laugh?"

The result was near instantaneous. Raditz's face flushed red. "What?! No! It's-it's because I was bored! Dad isn't around much anyway, and all my friends are off doing something else! So boring and there's nothing to do!" He looked to his father, changing the subject. "Hey, dad! Can't you stick around a while before your next mission?"

Bardock chuckled, shaking his head. "'Fraid not, shrimp." Being in the Army meant constant assignments and missions, and Bardock and his crew being one of the most recognized within the lower class ranks meant he and his crew were handpicked out of the entire low ranks, they were constantly given assignments. Bardock was sure that his crew would be assigned a mission later down the evening or even the next day. The time he had right now was a small reprieve from all the conflict.

Bardock's stomach suddenly grumbled, and Gine smiled. "Well, since you're here. Might as well whip up something for you to eat! Can't go on an empty stomach!"

Raditz cheered, jumping up and down. "Aw hell yeah! Mom's cooking!"

Gine was about to scold Raditz, but Bardock responded first. "Actually, do you two want to join me down at the Hall?"

"The Army Hall?"

"Yeah. Tora, Shugesh, Fasha, and Borgos would be fine seeing you two." Bardock looked down at his son. "You want to come spar with us runt?"

"Really? Yeah!"

With his son's answer, Bardock looked at his wife. "Gine? Fasha would be fine talking to you. She would be glad to see you." The concern on his face grew, along with Gine's pained look. "Gine! What's wrong? If you don't want me to go, then that's sure as hell fine! I'll call Tora and the others on the scouters and let them know I'm taking a rain check on their offer. What's wrong?" Raditz took a step forward, concerned, but unsure of what to do or even say.

The beautiful visage of her face shook away the forming tears, and she looked up. "Bardock… It's not that. Its…"

"It's what?" Bardock was confused and concerned. What was Gine's concern? It was just the Saiyan Hall. It was open and available to all Saiyans at all times, as their kin of varying classes and stature roamed the polished hallways and…

Oh.

Bardock felt like an idiot . He was an idiot.

Of course, you insensitive, ignorant dumbass . Gine, with her power level… so low even among their ranks that she was mocked and horrendously and viciously picked on by the other Saiyans, even ones of their own rank, to show their retarded superiority over her. Her role at the Meat Distribution Center, being one of the very few Saiyans among their race.

So horredeous how they treated her that Bardock had to pound each of the fucking assholes in a sparring session just for them to leave her the fuck alone and exit the sparring rooms and leave their bodies broken and bloodied across the arena. He still vividly remembers one insult made towards her that made his blood boil with rage and disgust .

He did not want to remember that.

It was some asshole two tables away while he and Tora were discussing Borgos's Pod in the maintenance shop; Fasha and Shugesh were checking on their pods, and how their mission would be delayed due to that. He lost interest in the conversation altogether and he let his mind wander to others within his vicinity, when the asshole was talking about Gine.

It turned out later when Bardock discovered that he was one of the Saiyans who insulted Gine back on their mission to Planet Garea, a largely populated unlike Imotep, but highly developed and technologically advanced race.

All Bardock felt was rage when the bastard made an… inappropriate joke towards her.

He did not remember pounding the prick who said that to his wife to death in front of the cafeteria. The Saiyan fought back, attempting to defend himself. Bardock could only remember him lying on the floor, his fists, armor, and face, coated with blood, until two higher class Saiyans grabbed him off, pinning him down, even when there were yells and screams of anger, that he did not realize later it was him. The haze of crimson rage vanished, replaced by the crimson of the pool on the floor, his entire arm coated in the coppery crimson, the scent of iron assailing his sense of smell. Bardock turned to see the shocked expressions of terror of the faces of his brethren, and it came back to him.

He was put on probation and nearly expelled from the Army for that. He frankly didn't give a shit. The bastard deserved it.

Even as the various assholes in their race finally got the cue after Bardock or so bloodied fifty or so– he honestly lost track, and didn't care –Saiyans, and having his own body broken, she was still mocked as one of the weakest in the history of the Saiyan Army . And Bardock developed a reputation on top with many other notorious reputations in his name.

"Gine…" If she didn't want to go, then he could not force her. "If you don't want to, that's fine. I'm fine staying and so is Raditz." He shot a look down at his son. "Right?"

Raditz looked uncomfortable. Though he was fully aware of his father's exploits as a soldier in the Army, he was somewhat left in the dark of his mother's time. He was aware of the basics however, and that was enough. He did not want to push his mother for details of her time within the Army. He nodded his agreement. "Yeah, Mom. It's not like we have to go. Your cooking is much better than the grub at the Hall!" He said, as a way to cheer her up.

Gine looked at the two, her eyes still wet, before hugging the two. She was grateful for both her husband and son. She took a watery breath. "I'll go. I'm bringing Kakarot with us."

Bardock gave an uncertain and apprehensive look, as did his son. He spoke softly. "Gine… are you sure? I… we don't have to go."

"I'm coming with. Besides, I think Kakarot would like some fresh air."

Bardock nodded. "I guess…"

She halted him, the mournful expression once returning. "Wait, Bardock. I have to tell you before we go."

"What is it?"

She looked down. "Please… just ignore them."

What? Bardock stared at Gine in disbelief.

"Please, Bardock. You already have multiple infractions. I don't want to see you discharged from the Army."

Why did she want him to ignore them? They were assholes who could not take a hint and leave one alone. They preyed on those who could hardly defend themselves. Bardock would not have an issue with those specific types if they just left her alone, but they didn't.

"Gine…" Bardock wanted to disregard her words, wanted to tell her that he could not ignore the cruel words of his brethren, that he simply could not. Their words felt like sharp knives that ignited rage.

But it was her wishes that he did not give in to it and pummel them, for his actions would have severe consequences inflicted upon him. He nodded. "Fine."

No promises was his reluctant unsaid answer, one they both knew. If there were any prick who would say… unkind words to Gine and would not stop, he would be the living tar out of them.

Gine nodded, her smile returning just as quickly as it vanished, her somber mood almost instantly gone that one would not guess she was upset at all. "Right! I'm going to get Kakarot from his incubator and we can go!"

She went back to their domed home. Both father and son stood waiting, as Bardock quickly retrieved his scouter from the side, attaching it back on the side of his head.

Raditz stared silently as his mother returned back to their home to retrieve his brother, a frown marring his face. "Dad?"

"What?"

"Is Mom right about… You know…"

Bardock sighed. "Shrimp. Your Mom doesn't like to talk about it. You already know that, so drop it."

"Yeah but how often was it? It…" Raditz trailed off, then spoke again, unable to grasp how his mother was feeling. "It couldn't be that bad."

Bardock scowled. He was not staring at the fields of their home anymore, but at another densely covered field. His current surroundings vanished, replaced by the entirely past ones supplied by his memories.

"Gine! Where the hell are you?!"

"Papkira!" A set of terrified pitch black stared back even as she stood at attention, her tail quivering, aware of the explosions rocketing the landscape around her, hurriedly adjusting the scouter from the side of her head to make sure it snugly fit. "I'm here, Sir!"

Bardock glanced at his side, Tora, one of the few Saiyans he had gotten to know and acquainted with on the hellhole known as planet Sitrus.

"Where the hell were you?!" Papkira, their Saiyan commander, his hair a smooth scalp across a pear shaped head. His eyes were flaring with rage, as the clumsy, uncoordinated mess that was the female Saiyan known as Gine. He roared at her "Thanks to you, we were ten minutes behind schedule!"

"I'm-I'm sorry, sir! I was late! I didn't-"

That was all she was able to say before he reached out, grabbing the back of her head and slamming his knee into her gut. The girl's eyes widened with pain, her mouth open as all the air was knocked out of her. She whimpered in pain, clutching her stomach, curling up on the floor.

Papkira was not done. He slammed a foot on the top of her prone head, eliciting a pained cry from her. "We had to wait for a weakling like you just to even start on the mission! Thanks to you, this side of the planet has already set up a perimeter of defense!"

Bardock stared in horror, a look of shock on his face. What the hell?! What was that for?! She was late but that certainly didn't merit any violence as punishment! Papkira was already wasting time by telling her the shit she already knew and screwed up on. It wasn't going to help their current situation. Right now, they had to fly up and look for weak points within the defense. Not spend time arguing! They could still salvage the ruined plans, but right now, all he was doing was throwing them into the fire and burning them to ashes.

Papkira turned to the two Saiyans closest to him, baring his teeth. "Saled! Spinac! Change of plans! Go take your half to the westside! You might be able to surprise them if you go to the caverns. Launch a ki blast to the skies to signal when you're ready!" The two Saiyans, a set of a female and a male, nodded, saluting. He turned to a thick muscular Saiyan, who was the tallest out of the entire group. "Nougac! Go show this failure of a Saiyan how a true member of our race fights!"

Nougac smirked. "Of course."

He went away barely sparing her a look of disgust. "And remember, that scouter is worth a lot more than she is anyway."

"Dad? Dad!"

Bardock blinked. He was no longer on the planet Sitrus but back on Planet Vegeta, the surroundings of indigo vanished, replaced by the brown of his home. No longer was he on a planet of a battlefield but a planet of birth, peaceful and populated. No broken homes, torn structures. It was just a worn down neighborhood of a place he grew accustomed to.

"Dad! You alright?"

Bardock shook his head to clear the remnants of battle, turning to his son, unclenching his fists he did not know turned to be. "What?"

"You just looked pissed at the home. It looked like you were angry at Mom or something." He commented.

Bardock blinked, staring down indecipherably at his hands, red crescent indentations forming on his palms. "It's nothing, runt." Anger bubbled in his throat and in the pits of his stomach.

"And why the hell are you defending her anyway?! Stay out of it! If I remember, this has nothing to do with you!" The round face of Nougat was inches away from Bardock's own "I outrank you, or did you forget that, you low class trash?"

"Is it about Mom-"

"It's nothing!" Raditz flinched, mouth open in dumbfounded disbelief, cutting off whatever Raditz wanted to say next.

The images of his and Gine's past vanished once more as Bardock shook his head. He looked down to Raditz. "Look, runt. Your mom doesn't like to talk about her experience in the Army, nor do I, out of respect. Just drop it, okay?"

Raditz was young and curious, as all children were, but since his father requested it, and his mother would most likely as well, he accepted it. "Yes, sir."

Though Raditz was not enlisted in the Saiyan Army yet, he wondered how bad it was for his mother. He knew that she had a low power level, even amongst their ranks, until his brother came. He knew higher class Saiyans looked down on the low class, even hearing his friends titling their rank as "cannon fodder". Raditz still loved her, regardless of her level of power. She was his mother after all.

He wondered if he would look down on others? No! He mentally decided on that answer. He would not look down on others whether or not they had a low power or not. He would not turn into that kind of person!

He would be like his father, but he would also stand out himself. This, Raditz, swore one day he would achieve.

The door opened, revealing Gine and the sleeping bundle in her arms, covered in blankets. "Sorry it took a while. I accidentally startled his nap."

Bardock nodded. "Let's go."

The whispers came once more. Bardock was only moderately aware of them, his focus was on getting to the Saiyan Hall.

However, Gine was more aware of them, while Raditz flew haphazardly in the air, his childish mind focusing on other matters. The boy was excited to spar, his Saiyan blood boiling, and it showed.

"Bardock. They're talking about you." She whispered to him, flying adjacent to him.

"Huh?" Bardock looked down, and the scattered kind turned away, pretending to be interested in their own activities. "Okay. Let them."

She cradled Kakarot as he began to fuss. "They're talking about your brother."

Half brother. [1]

"And what, Gine? Do I stop them? It's clear they aren't going to stop at all. Let them spread rumors all they want."

Gine began once more. "Turles-"

"Turles made his choice to abandon the Army just a few months or so back. Of course that would cause a shitstorm within the Army. How wouldn't it? He was one the first Saiyan ever in recorded history since we took over the planet from the Tuffles to mutiny, and none of us knows why. The Army placed a bounty on his head and if he was ever located, to be executed. I'm the only one he's related to since both our parents are gone, and how the hell am I supposed to know what and why he left?" Bardock paused, searching through his head for any other talk about what would happen to him, but only drew blanks. "Let them talk shit. Add it to the pile of other crap I've caused or they think I'm planning to do."

Gine was concerned though. Rumors made one notorious and was like a virus infection. There had to be an origin, a source, then it spread like a tumor, taking over the body and infecting.

Like a virus, Turles's mutiny within the Army led to many rumors, especially since Bardock was his only relative. Their parents had already passed away; Bardock had discovered his father, disloyal and dishonest, sired a half brother to him with another female Saiyan. Bardock would never discover this until just the day before Turles abandoned ship, killing his own mother, giving clues for Bardock to find her decaying body at his half brother's own home, where he discovered the will of his father. A disgraced mid-class whore Bardock told her Turles's words in his letter to him once he returned home.

Bardock could not bring himself to even care for Turles, and why should he? They had only interacted once on a mission to planet Selemence, but that was the extent to their relationship.

Even after Bardock himself was arrested by the Royal Bloodline and interrogated, due to their connection, not even the King nor Queen could possibly figure out why Turles had abandoned the Army. Bardock was finally let go after a month, no longer considered a suspect for treason for why Turles had abandoned the Army.

Bardock did not care for rumors. That was obvious. But that only grew Gine's worry. Bardock had developed a reputation for not only defending her and picking fights even with higher class Saiyans, but also developed a rule for bending and twisting orders. Along with having a reputable name of saving other Saiyans in missions, having a knack for intelligent strategic battle plans, and on top of the rumors of his familial relation to Turles.

Gine was worried Bardock's acts and reputation would finally catch up with him, and that possibly the Royal Saiyan of King and Queen would cast him, her, Raditz, or even Kakarot, any one of their family, out. Or tried for treason and sentenced to execution.

She tried to push those thoughts aside, telling herself it would not happen. But that possibility was planted deep within her head, especially concerning Bardock's nonplussed attitude regarding Turles and the other rumors spread.

All Gine could do was pray and hope that rumors died down, and that the King and Queen would not have ideas of sending any one of their families away or tried and executed for treason.

She hoped.

This chapter's title is AKA Bardock has anger issues and is a protective of Gine, Gine has PTSD and severe trauma, Raditz is a adorable awesome snowflake, and Goku is a baby and being a baby.

[1]- Turles, according to the Dragon Ball wiki, was theorized to be either another of Goku's brother. Xenoverse 2 expands upon the idea that Turles was a troublemaker who rarely ever followed his superiors orders in the Saiyan Army, and thus left the Army much earlier to form his own team, the Crusher Corps before the Destruction of Planet Vegeta. Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Raging Blast 2, and Xenoverse 2 also suggest that both Bardock and Turles were aware of each other in their intros if you put the two together in a match.

Unfortunately for those who support this, I don't like the brother theory, as it contradicts what was established in the manga and anime and it doesn't make any sense to me, as Turles was never mentioned in any media or source, including Super Dragon Ball Heroes, to be the brother of Goku. I also don't buy the Saiyan looking the same theory, as Goku was stated to look like Bardock by Raditz due to having his father's hair. Turles realistically has no reason to, unless Turles was related to Bardock in some way.

This to me was likely based on the idea that Turles was just an "evil Goku" and the polar opposite of Goku in every way, and when Turles was being designed, Funimation was not thinking far ahead, as he was just a throwaway character in the Fruit of the Tree of Might movie, as most of the Z movies were intended just to cash in on the series, and the evil Goku role was fulfilled by Goku Black in Super. Outside of his only movie, Super Dragon Ball Heroes unfortunately didn't do much with his character either, despite the show's clear chance to explain Turles's backstory that way when his only single role in the movie failed to do so.

My theory is that Turles is Bardock's half brother, as this makes the most sense, at least to me. While I do support the theory that Turles and Bardock have a familial relation, it would not be parental in any sense, as none of the media or games support this. The games suggest they have a relation and knew each other, but whether it was a professional Saiyan relation between two Saiyans, or familial by recognition, that's up to the player's interpretation.

I hope you guys also liked Bardock and Raditz sparring. Originally, it was meant to be just Raditz showing his Saturday Crush, but I wanted to build up the relationship more between them, that we never got to see at all in the series though the games do help paint a picture of their relationship.

By the time of the chapter's release, a few weeks prior, Goten and Trunks have their official art from the Dragon Ball Super Hero movie. About time we got to see them grow up as teenagers. The only time we last saw them grown up was in GT.
