Darcy is a medieval knight who slowly falls for a fiery, shocking Elizabeth. Unfortunately, someone else swears that if he can't have her, then no one will. Darcy will do anything for her, though. This is one of those ff that's a total left turn and barely resembles the story

As Elizabeth Darcy settles into her new life with her fond and faithful husband by her side, strange secrets begin to surface and threaten to shake the foundations of Pemberley forever.

Why had her parents allowed something as simple as a stumbling tongue to build a wall between their own passions and those of their child? This is Mary's story, told in words which come far more rapidly to paper than they do to her struggling lips.

Darcy overhears Lizzy refuse Mr. Collins's proposal, but he overhears more: that Lizzy finds Darcy repellent. He abandons Netherfield disllusioned. But, at Rosings a few months later, during Easter, he encounters Lizzy again. Can they find their way past themselves and into a new, shared life? Can it be done with Lady Catherine, Anne, and Mr. Collins all athwart their path?

Miss Mary Darcy is plain and she knows it. She is cheerfully reconciled to being the spinster daughter of the vicar of Kympton and a maternal figure and friend to her motherless cousins, Fitzwilliam and Georgiana Darcy. Fate, or rather the Earl and Countess of Matlock and George Darcy have other ideas and Mary Darcy becomes Countess Annesley, soon to be known as Mrs Annesley.

What would happen if Mr. Collins did not come until after the Netherfield party had gone to London and with it Mrs. Bennet’s certainty that Jane had an eligible engagement soon-to-be made.
