The sun rose above the horizon, and a new day began. The birds chirped happily and interacted with each other. They took care of their chicks and flew around.

You could hear the alarm clock ringing in an apartment. One person was awakened by the alarm clock ringing and turned it off in annoyance. The person sat up in his large bed and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. The person had spiky blond hair and blue eyes with six whiskers.

At the moment, the person was wearing nothing but black boxers. That person was Naruto Uzumaki, a seemingly average student. He was going through his morning routine and eating while reading a book on the side. It was a story about a woman who had fallen from grace. In his opinion, the story was pretty good, with a good story and a good plot.

A little later, we saw Naruto walking onto the grounds of Kuoh Academy. He was wearing the standard school uniform for boys. Kuoh Academy boys' uniforms consisted of a black blazer with white accents over a white, long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, matching black pants, and brown dress shoes. When some students saw him, they waved at him, and he just raised two fingers and greeted them back.

Naruto wasn't well known at school; he didn't stand out. He liked it that way; he hardly did anything in school and passed the exams with enough points not to fail but not too many to attract attention.

"Good morning, Naruto!" Naruto turned around and saw the Prince of the Kuoh School himself. Yūto Kiba walked up to Naruto calmly, smiling as always.

Yūto was a handsome young man with short blond hair, gray eyes, and a birthmark under his left eye. Like Naruto, he wore the school's male uniform.

"Morning, Yūto." Naruto and Yūto went to class together as usual. The school knew about their friendship and didn't think much of it. Naruto wasn't very well known, but he wasn't unpopular either, so all the fans of Yūto were okay with it.

Some would ask, why would some object? If Naruto were known negatively, everyone would tell him to stay away from the prince.

As always, Yūto was approached by several groups of girls as he walked through the school hallways with Naruto. The two had been friends for a year now. Naruto was the only male student at this school who didn't mind Yūto. Yūto and Naruto struck up a conversation by chance at some point and thus first became acquaintances and later friends. They also did something once every two weeks after school. At least Naruto was the only male friend Yūto had.

"Do you have any plans for after school, Yūto? We could go back to the movies tonight. The new part of the movie, which you liked so much, is out."

Yūto thought momentarily; he didn't have time right after school. There, he still had something to do for the club. But there should be nothing in the evening. He smiled, "Of course, tonight sounds good." Yūto liked normalcy with Naruto. Naruto gave him variety and allowed him to talk to him usually. Every other boy looked at him grimly, so he hadn't had much experience of what it was like to do anything with a boy his age. It differed from when he did something with Rias, Akeno, Koneko, or the other club members. With Naruto, he could talk about topics he would never discuss with girls.

"All right, will you be at my home at 7:30 p.m.? The film starts at 8 p.m., which would be a good fit." Naruto didn't like to do things with others, as he preferred to stay under the radar. But with Yūto, it was different. Naruto had seen it in his eyes. The same pain he had experienced as a small child. Naruto didn't know what had happened to him, but he could understand the pain, and that's why he had agreed to see Yūto as a friend and didn't regret it.

"Sounds good." They both went into the classroom and sat down. Naruto, as always, sat at the back of the window, and Yūto right next to him. The teacher started the lesson, and Naruto fell asleep after 10 minutes.

Yūto just shook his head at how his friend was acting. But he often wondered how Naruto always managed to pass the exams when he never took notes. What also surprised him was that no matter when the teacher looked at Naruto, Naruto was wide awake, and when the teacher turned around again, Naruto fell asleep again. He sometimes wished he could do that, too.

Naruto had already tried to explain to him that this was all automatic, and he wasn't quite aware of how he did it. As far as passing the exams was concerned, Naruto said that he always went through the material of the day after school.

Yūto was a devil and had some advantages over his regular classmates. However, Naruto's memory was something that even Yūto couldn't compete against. However, Naruto did it; he only had to read something once and knew the most critical things from texts or pictures.

So, another day of school passed, and Yūto said goodbye to Naruto at the end, who went home after school as usual. Yūto went to the Occultism Club to complete his duties today. If he remembered correctly, his boss had her eye on someone with a potentially strong Sacred Gear.

Naruto had strolled straight home after leaving the school grounds. At home, he devoted himself to his favorite hobby, listening to music or playing something on his guitar. He discovered his passion for music when he heard a street musician. He asked what he was doing and learned about the beautiful guitar there. He was even allowed to play shortly afterward. He was blown away. This feeling when he created the music through his fingers was incredible. After that, he had taught himself to play for two years and could now say that he could play the guitar well.

As the afternoon progressed, Naruto heard a scratching at his window. He was just in his kitchen and saw two familiar golden eyes. As always, the black fur of his little visitor was utterly clean. He smiled and opened the window. A black cat jumped on Naruto's shoulder and rubbed its head against his. Naruto raised his hand and stroked the cat behind her ear; after that, the cat began to purr and leaned its head towards Naruto's hand to show him that this felt good.

"Hello Kuroka, have you experienced much again?" Why Kuroka? The first time Naruto encountered this cat, she had a collar with that name. He assumed she had been kicked out and now lived on the streets. He took her home and took care of her. When he saw how intimate and better the cat was, he opened his apartment door one day and wanted to give the cat its freedom again. The cat, however, just looked at him in confusion that day and instead jumped on his shoulder and rubbed its head against his.

Since that day, Naruto had a cat of his own. Like any cat, Kuroka needed exercise occasionally, and Naruto let her out. As was the case now, Kuroka usually returned within two days. He wasn't afraid that she would run away. She seemed far too clingy for that. While she was with Naruto and not outside, she was by his side the whole time. Whether he was listening to music, playing, cooking, sleeping, or doing something else. She was always close to him. For Naruto, it had become customary for Kuroka to spread on him when he was in bed.

Naruto spent the next few minutes stroking Kuroka and giving her food. After that, he went into the living room and lay on the couch. Kuroka jumped on Naruto's stomach and curled up as he turned on the TV and watched something. Naruto stroked Kuroka in between, causing her to purr, and so he spent the rest of the day until Yūto would come over.

The next day, Naruto was back in the classroom next to Yūto. The two were talking about last night's movie. It was perfect, in Naruto's opinion. Yūto agreed, and they both discussed about a specific spot in the movie.

When the teacher came to class, the lesson started, and Naruto, as usual, was back to sleep after only 10 minutes.

Yūto was taking notes and looking at Naruto from the corner of his eye. He honestly didn't know what to think right now. He hadn't noticed it until yesterday, even though he'd been friends with Naruto for a year. Naruto wasn't who he said he was. After the movie, Naruto had already gone to the bathroom. Yūto only saw it briefly but saw Naruto move through the crowds faster than an average human. He would never have noticed if he hadn't accidentally looked after Naruto to tell him something. So, he wondered who Naruto Uzumaki was. He knew where he lived and had been with him several times. He had often listened to Naruto play the guitar and had to say that Naruto had a musical talent.

Even so, he had never noticed. He had never seen Naruto acting strangely or doing anything unnatural all year. Just yesterday, it was the case. Ok, Yūto was no exception. He hid from Naruto that he was a devil and could create swords out of nothing. Everyone had their secrets, even the closest friends. Sometimes, it was better if you didn't know everything. That's why he didn't tell Naruto about his true identity.

He wouldn't tell his boss about it either because that would drag Naruto into the world of devils, and he didn't want that under any circumstances.

He shook his head and took notes, ignoring the looks of the male and female people in the room as usual.

When Naruto opened his eyes, the doorbell rang precisely. He stretched himself and put his notes into his pocket, which were undoubtedly not from that hour. "Ready?" Naruto looked at Yūto and just nodded. They both got up and went into the break together.

They talked until they had to stop because many classmates blocked the way.

Naruto turned around and was already walking in the other direction because he knew why so many students were in the hallway. The two ladies of the school were in the corridor. Yūto wanted to follow until he saw his boss and signaled him to come to the club room. "Naruto, I need to get something done. I'll see you later." Naruto raised a hand and turned. Yūto went on his way, and all the students made room for him.

Naruto was lying under a tree with black headphones on his skull. He was listening to a melody at the moment. He had closed his eyes and enjoyed the warm rays of sunlight coming through the foliage. Suddenly, however, the sun's rays disappeared, and he opened one eye and saw a little girl with white hair.

He sat up straight and put the headphones around his neck. "Can I help you?"

"For you." She held something out to him, and he just took it. After that, she just walked away and didn't turn around. Naruto looked at the piece of paper and raised an eyebrow. There was some drawing on it that reminded him of a mandala. He shrugged and put the small piece of paper in his pocket.

He lay back down, put his headphones back on, and closed his eyes. He wanted to enjoy the rest of the break. However, this was not to be, for he felt eyes on him. His eyes twitched slightly, and when he saw the student council president out of the corner of his eye, he turned his head slightly to the side and looked at her. She pointed to something next to him, and Naruto immediately understood what was happening. He had just produced some garbage and didn't throw it away immediately. He had put it down next to him and wanted to put it away right away. He could tell from the movements of her lips that he was supposed to throw away the garbage. Afterward, she walked with her vice-principal toward the old school building.

Coincidentally, Yūto came from the same direction and saw Naruto lying carefree under a tree. The tree had no regular leaves. It was the only cherry blossom tree on the whole grounds. Such trees were rare in Kuoh, which was unusual for Japan. He had often seen Naruto lying under that tree.

He would like to go to him and talk to him, but he has an assignment. The potential new member of the peerage was found dead in the park. The fallen angels were faster than the Gremory Clan this time, and it was too late to resurrect him because the Sacred Gear had already disappeared from the body of the potential member. His Buchō had only been watching him and wanted to recruit him because he had a potentially strong Sacred Gear.

At the end of school, Naruto woke up as usual and yawned a little. He stretched and looked to the side. He had to realize that Yūto was not present, so he was probably allowed to walk off the school grounds alone. So, he put his pad and pens in his school bag. 'What am I going to do today? I still have to do my training again. It's been a while since I've trained properly.' Naruto pondered this as he walked through the hallways of the school.

Naruto came to the exit of the school building and was already looking forward to the schoolyard. No electrical appliances may be used in the school building, but they may be used outside. He got his black headphones out of his school bag and put them on. Naruto plugged the headphone cable into his phone, selected a song, and pressed start. With music on his ears, he went on in a relaxed manner. Naruto walked off the school grounds and was now walking on the sidewalk. His blue eyes looked around and looked at the surroundings. There was no particular reason for it. Naruto likes to look around on his way home; that's how he saw the musician once and came across the music.

Naruto stopped all of a sudden when he felt something near him. He didn't know why, but someone was trailing him. It wasn't Yūto or another of the devils in the Kuoh Academy. It was someone else. He hadn't felt this energy in a long time.

He continued walking, pretending not to feel anything weird around him. It was apparent that the person who followed him through Kuoh wasn't experienced in trailing someone. Not at all… more like terrible.

He stopped and turned around, seeing the person who followed him for a second. 'She is terrible,' thought Naruto. It was ironic that the person who killed Issei Hyōdō also followed him now. Was it because of his Sacred Gear? It wasn't even a real one. It was an artificial Sacred Gear in the form of a one-handed Jian sword. It was a sword used in old China a lot. Nothing special. Besides being sturdy and sharp like any other Sacred Gear in sword form, his Sacred Gear had no special abilities. Not that he complained. It was always lovely to be able to summon a weapon from nowhere.

He could use his swordsmanship this way anytime he wanted. Not that he would need it anyway since he was enjoying his life as an average human without connection to his old life. But if he ever needed it, he could summon his Jian sword in an instant.

Having lived most of his life as an assassin, his abilities were, therefore, more laid out for assassination and not direct fighting. He was able to fight someone in a one-on-one fight, of course, but he was better at assassination.

Naruto turned away and continued walking. 'I wonder when she will approach me,' thought Naruto. He chuckled a little when he felt how clumsy the fallen angel followed him through the streets from Kuoh. Naruto decided to see what she wanted.

Naruto stopped at the street because a few cars were driving past him. He waited for a minute since more than just one car had driven through the street at the time. He wasn't able to cross the street this way.

He crossed the street and walked to a tree. Under the tree was an injured bird. Naruto slowly and gently picked the bird up with one hand and began walking. He would bring the bird to the forest where he could help him. But before that… he needed to vanish from the scenery. He walked into a side ally and stopped. He looked over his shoulder and could feel the energy from the fallen angel. Naruto slowly began to vanish as if he had become invisible.

Naruto still stood in the same spot when the fallen angel looked for Naruto. She walked into the side ally and tried to find him, but she couldn't. There was no trace of Naruto left. Naruto looked at the fallen angel who disguised herself as a young woman.

She certainly was beautiful but also deadly like every other fallen angel. He had already seen her and gathered information on this fallen angel. She was sent by the chief of the fallen angels, Azazel. But he wondered why she was still here. She killed Issei and, therefore, should have achieved her goal and been on her way back.

Was there something Naruto didn't calculate? Was there something he missed? He didn't know it yet, but he would find out sooner or later.
