After a battle against Eggman they realized Chumley needed a little violence.
"A baby after my own heart." Knuckles said while his heart melted.
"I think we're finally getting the hang of this." Sonic said while holding Chumley 'while they were finally getting the hang of taking care of Baby Chumley Walrus'.
That was when Sonic frowned and Knuckles noticed it.
"Uhh Tails? We may need a moment alone in your house." Knuckles said as he turns to Tails uneasily.
Tails shrugged before he answered yes and that he needed to find some tools at his workshop as Sonic speeds off into the house with Baby Chumley.
After Sonic and Chumley got in, the blue hedgehog sat down with the baby walrus.
Chumley was on Sonics lap. He had a confused look on his face looking at Sonics saddened look.
"I envy you kid. You have all the time in the world with your mother and brother in your infant years." Sonic said softly.
"...But I never gotta chance with mine before she gave me and my older sibs up. Even after I discovered my younger brother was older than me." Sonic said softly while feeling a tear in his eye.
Chumley was a little concerned. He maybe an infant and he may not understand what he is saying. But in his age he can sense Sonic was sad.
Chumley cooed as Knuckles sat down next to him after entering.
"What's wrong now?" Knuckles asked.
Sonic looks at him before looking at Chumley.
"I...I..." Sonic said 'trying to answer'.
"Let me guess. You're feeling sad due to your mother giving you 3 up and all that?" Knuckles asked in worry.
Sonic nodded silently.
"I just don't know Knux. I keep on wondering if there was another way for the prophecy to be fulfilled without giving us up. I dunno." Sonic softly said as Chumley snuggled up to him comforting him.
"Sonic. Even if there was another way, nothing could stop what was going to happen. Even Manics path would be unchanged. What made you...?" Knuckles said before trailing off on his question.
"...When I found out, I was upset at first. But after getting captured by Eggman's old goons and Manic coming after me. I...I was so shocked and strangely scared. Yet, I did feel scared the the next day after he found out. It was, scary watching the carefree and sneaky Manic I knew turned into, someone else. Someone cold and determined to keep me safe." Sonic said to himself sadly.
"Oh, sorry. Seeing Chumley with his brother reminds me of me and Manic." Sonic said 'trying to be his cheerful self.'
"Oh I see. You miss your family. I understand how you feel Sonic. I mean, I may not remember who my parents are but I miss them too." Knuckles said 'cheering up the blue hedgehog'.
"Speaking of families. Looking at Chumley makes you want to have your own child huh?" Knuckles asked 'playfully as he winked'.
Sonic blushed in a surprising way.
"Uhh, hehe, I dunno if you think I'm gonna start a family with Sally I...I mean I don't think Sally will start one anytime soon. I mean we agreed to be just friends." Sonic say in a denial and shocking tone.
Knuckles laughed playfully as Sonic smirked as if to say 'Oh he's got me there' as Chumley laughed with him.
Knuckles stopped laughing as Sonic had something else in his mind.
"Were you thinking of starting a family with my big sis?" Sonic asked curiously.
Knuckles looked dumbstruck on that question.
"Well? Not really. It's hard to imagine Sonia to be a Mom. I don't think she would want to be a parent with me." Knuckles answered.
Sonic chuckled before he rolled his eyes.
"Typical Sonia right there." Sonic said in a cocky tone.
"Yeah. But, are you sure we should discuss this in front of Chumley." Knuckles asked uneasily.
"It's no problem Knux. It wouldn't matter. Cause Chumleys mind is so small, he won't remember any of this." Sonic said to him as Knuckles sighed in reliefs
"Even if you do. Don't tell anyone." Sonic mumbled to Chumley 'who was confused as he raised a brow'.
The two chuckled as Sonic kinda thought that Knuckles was always there to make him laugh when he needed cheering up.
Chumley 'still a bit confused but shrugged'.
"Ya know. Looking at Chumley makes you want to have your own. Huh Sonic?" Knuckles teased as Sonic laughed.
"Seriously Knux?" Sonic asked as he chuckled.
"Just teasing." Knuckles said to Sonic as he pats Sonic on the back.
"Ya know, if I was a girl. I would be carrying your kids. Though Sonia would be jealous." Sonic said to Knuckles before he winks.
"Heheh. Yer funny Sonic." Knuckles said laughing while Chumley blinked as he crawled off of Sonics lap and onto the couch between them.
"But even if we do have a child of our own. I'm sure it would be a combination of us. With my muscles and your power." Knuckles said happily.
Sonic was a little flattered and slightly awkward about the fact that Knuckles was thinking of having a child with Sonic.
Though it would be impossible due to the fact that Sonic is a boy.
Chumley blinked as the two got closer.
"Sonic. Y-you are the most important person in my life. In fact, you are so important to this team and to me. I would do a lot to keep you with me." Knuckles said to him softly.
"Knux. I... I am a little flattered by your words and all. But I, I just don't know how..." Sonic said softly before trailing off and the two slowly moved towards each other as their eyes were half opened.
Chumley 'knowing what they were going to do' covered his eyes'.
The two were closer to their lips before they hear someone clearing his or her throat as they snapped back to reality and looked to see Tails with a raised brow and a smirk.
"Am I interrupting anything?" Tails asked curiously.
"Uhh... No! No you weren't!" Sonic said as the two looked away.
Chumley sighed in relief.
"Come on Chumley let's take a little walk." Tails said 'taking the walrus baby and walked out.
Leaving the two awkward boys behind.
Sonic and Knuckles looked at each other before chuckling awkwardly.
"Do you really think we would have our own child?" Sonic asked as he looked down.
"Well if Tails makes an invention to mix our DNAs together yeah." Knuckles answered with a smile.
Sonic chuckled as Knuckles pats him on the back before Tails voice said, "If you two love birds are done in there. We gotta get going."
"Hey who are you calling love birds?!" Sonic and Knuckles shouted before they head out.
The two looked at each other as Knuckles puts on the baby carrier and puts Chumley in.
