Had this idea after my re-watch of both W&tX and EMH, and also…fuck those who cancelled both of these as well as 'The Spectacular Spider-Man', and put on shit like 'Assemble' and 'Ultimate Spider-Man' instead.

Wolverine was going to walk back to the Xavier Mansion after helping out against Kang, when he heard a voice call out to him. "Logan?"

He turned around to see Captain America. "Hey boy scout."

"Thanks for the help", Captain America told him. "I'd heard you were still around, good to see you again. How are you?"

Captain America held out his hand, and Wolverine shook it. "I've been good, bub. But….I don't remember a thing the two of us did together during World War II."

"…What?" Captain America asked in shock as they dropped hands. Fury hadn't mentioned anything about that.

"Got in with a bad crowd….Weapon X. I don't have any memory because of what they did to me", Wolverine confessed to Captain America. "Only reason I know is because…..well, I was told."

"…I'm sorry, Logan", Captain America muttered, that being all he could say. Like Bucky, he'd Logan back. And like Bucky, Logan just wasn't the same.

"Don't be, it wasn't your fault", Wolverine assured him. "Besides, I got people too now." He added in a whisper. "Don't tell anyone I said that."

In spite of how he was feeling, Cap had to chuckle at that. "Will keep that in mind. How are things right now?"

"Well, stopped Apocalypse a while ago, otherwise he'd have made an entire Age of the world about himself according to the Professor in the future."

"…what?"

"Wasn't Kang a time-traveller too?"

"…Good point", Cap said, rubbing his head, Wolverine shrugging. "I know you don't remember, but it was good to see you, Logan."

"You too, Cap", Wolverine said with a smile as he began to walk away. "Take care. And if ya need me, call."

"You too, Logan. It goes both ways."

And that's done.

I wish we'd gotten an interaction between Cap and Wolverine in the Kang or Galactus episode, but oh well.

The 'Apocalypse' bit is of course a reference to what Season 2 of W&tX would have been like if it wasn't cancelled!
