Despicable Me: Elephant Mission Chapter 1
Gru was on his way home driving in his Grumobile. When he got there, he got out the shopping and carried the bags into the house. ''Hellooo, everybody!'' Gru greeted his family. ''Gru!'' said Lucy. ''Dad!'' said Margo. ''What's shaking in the Gru house?'' asked Gru. ''I taught Lucky a new trick'' beamed Agnes. Lucky walked on his front hooves! DING-DONG! Went the doorbell. ''Oh! Who could that be?'' said Gru as he went to answer the door. It was Silas Ransbottom. ''Mr. Ramsbottom?!'' said Gru. ''More like Mr. Sheepsbutt!'' snickered Edith. ''Terribly sorry. I hope I'm not interrupting or anything'' said Silas. ''Uh, no, not at all'' said Gru, ''Now what are you doing here?''. ''I have come with awful news'' replied Silas, ''The villains you've captured have escaped from prison. Your family's lives are at stake. Again''. ''WHAT?!'' cried Gru.
''It's true'' said Silas, ''We must get you and your family to another safe house''. Lucy and the girls overheard this.
''Here we go again'' groaned Lucy. So once again the family found themselves packing up their stuff in suitcases. They remembered the last time they had gone to live in an undercover home. ''Mom, do we have to keep doing this every time?'' asked Margo. ''Well, we returned to our normal lives in our first undercover home we'll do it again'' replied Lucy. ''I don't want another undercover name'' moaned Agnes. ''This is getting utterly ridiculous'' agreed Edith. ''Girls, come on. We'll be fine. Just one more time and we're back again. I promise'' reassured Lucy.
This time Dru, Klye, Lucky and Blondie were coming along with the rest of the family. The family all rode on a bus this time too. ''What about Grandma?'' asked Agnes. ''Remember. No one can know of your whereabouts, not even family'' reminded Silas. ''What about my friends? Nia, Sophie, Jessica, Joshua?'' protested Margo. ''Sorry, the same would to friends, too'' said Silas. ''Orrrgh!'' pouted Margo. ''Hey, Margo, it'll be OK'' soothed Lucy, ''We'll be back once this undercover is done''. But all the same, Margo cried on the bus journey to the undercover home, Lucy sat next to her eldest daughter and held her close for comfort. Silas just tutted at Margo's boo hooing. Meanwhile some villains approached Gru's house in a menacing way. It was Vector, El Macho, Balthazar Bratt and Maxime Le Mal along with his girlfriend Valentina, all former enemies of Gru.
''Gru!'' boomed El Macho through a megaphone they'd brought along, ''I bet you're surprise to see us again after you ruined our plans for years. Now it's time for a payback. We've got your house surrounded. You and your family come out with your hands up!''. But nothing happened. ''Hellooooo?'' called Maxime, ''Gru?! Haven't got all day you know!''. Balthazar Bratt looked through the windows. ''Hey! No one's home!'' he said. ''Where'd they go?'' asked Vector. Valentina looked at a tracking device, ''Another safe house! Definitely not the one they've been in before'' she said. ''What?! But how?'' said El Macho. ''Probably because the stupid AVL has caught our conversation and sent them off to safety'' said Maxime.
''Well, then let's find their new undercover house and give 'em a piece of our history!'' said Bratt. ''If we're gonna enjoy our revenge, it has to be fresh!'' added El Macho. Back on the AVL bus which was still driving along the road, Margo had stopped crying, but she was still unhappy, ''I don't like this'' she sniffled. Lucy hugged her and said, ''Cheer up Margo. Things will go back to normal once this undercover is over, it won't last forever. Like it did before''. To their surprise and the rest of the family's, the bus reached the ocean and transformed into a submarine like Lucy's three mode car! It went past a bunch of fishes. Kyle, Blondie, Lucky and the minions stared in awe. After a few hours, they arrived at their new safety home which was set in Tarangire national park, Tanzania. It was square shaped with lots of glass windows.
Next door there was another square shaped building with a swimming pool inside. Everyone got off the bus. ''What? This is our new safehouse?'' asked Gru. ''Indeed'' replied Silas. The family went inside. ''Wow, this is…uh..seems pretty welcoming …. in the wild'' said Lucy. ''We're not having new identities are we?'' asked Margo. ''No'' replied Silas. Agnes sighed with relief. ''Now then, girls, why don't you three go and check out your rooms while I have a word with your parents?'' suggested Silas. Dru coughed politely. ''And your uncle'' finished Silas. So the girls headed upstairs to find their rooms. ''Gru, this is your second time you've brought your family into a safehouse. Blend in with more pizzazz and never act Gruish to the people in this country and harm the majestic creatures'' said Silas.
''Now why would I harm animals? I won Agnes a unicorn at the Super Silly Fun Land before she gave it away. And that's where I let her keep Lucky as a replacement'' explained Gru. Silas stared at him with a serious look. ''OK. I kept my family safe in safehouse once and I can still do it again'' said Gru. ''Good. Stay safe. If you need help, contact us'' said Silas as he left. Little did they know, that the five villains were watching them from behind a tree. They'd followed them to Tanzania! ''So, that's where they are! Let's get 'em!'' said Vector rushing over. El Macho grabbed him, ''Not yet!'' he hissed, ''They'll summon the Anti-Villain League. Best wait till they're out of that house and then we take them down''.
That night Lucy tucked the girls into bed. While Edith and Agnes slept, she talked to Margo who had yet to fall asleep. The eldest girl was still upset about the same undercover business happening again and what if the same thing would happen again like the glitter bomb in her locker, and new names, and also not being able to let her friends know about her whereabouts.
