Despicable Me: Elephant Mission Chapter 4

''Nothing personal but to lure her into our hands'' said El Macho. ''What for?'' asked Dru. ''We can't tell'' said Valentina. ''Now hand over the beast!'' ordered Maxime. But Emily had disappeared. ''Hey! Where did she go?'' exclaimed Maxime. ''Is she a magic elephant?'' asked Agnes. ''No! Look!'' said Margo and she pointed to where Emily had gone. The elephant had made her way to another market. Everyone chased after Emily. ''How did we not hear her leaving?'' gasped Vector. ''It's because elephants have padded feet'' said Margo, ''The pads make their footsteps very quiet''. Emily trumpeted loudly. ''How can they run so fast?'' wondered Edith. ''Actually, elephants can move faster than most people can run'' Margo explained. ''Enough already! Let's just get that hose-nosed creature!'' said El Macho.

''Not until we get there first!'' said Gru. They all charged towards the market. Victory! Gru, Dru and Lucy got there ahead of the villains! Emily wasn't hard to find. She was crashing through vases like bowling pins. A Villager sobbed. ''There she is!'' said Margo. Emily left the market and headed towards the jungle. At last, Poppy and the Gru family caught up with her. Blondie barked. The dog's barking caught Emily's attention. ''OK, let's get Emily to India'' ordered Gru. ''NOT SO FAST!'' screamed Bratt, ''That elephant is ours!''. ''Now surrender!'' said El Macho. There was a sound deep rumbling coming from nearby.

Then, with a crashing of branches and the sound of bellowing, another elephant came thundering out of the jungle and was galloping at a terrific speed. It was Stompy, Edith's old friend from evil Mr Tal's circus! He trumped loudly. ''AAAAAIIIGGHHHH!'' screamed Macho, Bratt, Vector, Maxime and Valentina. WHAM! Stompy knocked the villains high into the air with his trunk and sent them into the air. Then Edith ran over and hugged Stompy around the trunk. ''Oh Stompy, I never thought I'd see you again!'' she said happily. Stompy picked Edith up and sat her on his back. ''Edith, you'll always see Stompy. He lives in the zoo now'' said Lucy. ''Wait! How did he get here?'' said Gru. The minions who had just arrived on the scene with Dr Nefario spoke in minionese.

''We did, Gru. Thought we could use an extra trunk'' said Dr Nefario. ''Oh, great. Not my day'' groaned Gru. ''Emily, this is Stompy who Edith was telling you about'' Margo explained. The two elephants stared at each other comparing their differences. But they sure were happy to see each other to see their differences. ''Come on. The herd's just up ahead'' said Dru. Poppy and the Gru family rode on the two elephants. Lucy, Margo, Edith, Agnes, Lucky and Blondie on Stompy and Gru, Dru, Poppy and Kyle on Emily. They arrived at a water hole with more elephants. Emily was overjoyed and so was Stompy. They helped the humans, dogs and the goat off their backs as they joined the other elephants in the cool water.

''Mission accomplished, elephant returned to her destination. Though we have to return Stompy to the zoo'' said Gru. The family did so on their way back home after their undercover business was over. ''Thanks for your help, Stompy. Glad you made friends with Asian elephants'' said Edith, ''Even you're African''. Stompy bellowed in agreement. When the family arrived back in Gru's house, Margo said, ''So good to be home, Mom''. ''Yes, it is, darling'' said Lucy.
