Chapter 2: The dead men vs Vindick leather
"Let me in, Gordon!" the man shouted while pounding on the door, trying his best to break it down. "Go upstairs, Stephanie, and call the police," Gordon shouted, handing her his phone.
Stephanie nodded and ran up the stairs, about to call the police, when she saw a contact called Dexter on Gordon's phone. She knew all of Gordon's friends and had never met Dexter unless he was one of the men she'd just been talking to. Stephanie decided she'd be better off ringing him since they had just left, and the police would take much longer to get there.
"Hello, Gordon, we just left," Dexter said. "Hi, Dexter, this is Stephanie. Since you're one of the guys who just left my house, I need you to turn the car around because there's a man breaking in," she said while running up the stairs and into her room, closing the door behind her. "Okay, Stephanie, stay calm, we're on the way."
Dexters POV Dexter knocked on the glass separating the front of the van from the back where himself, Erskine, Saracen and Skullduggery were sitting. Then told Anton and Ghastly who were sitting in the front to "Turn the car around Stephanie rang me, she said there's a man breaking in. Ghastly switched lanes and turned around getting a lot of beeps from other drivers. "How did she get your number" Ghastly asked. "Gordon could have given Stephanie his phone and she might have seen Dexter's number and guessed who it was" Skullduggery replied. "She's already a detective" Erskine laughed.
Stephanies POV Stephanie could tell the man had broken in because he and Gordon were now talking. Stephanie started creeping down the stairs and once she got to the bottom she started listening in on the conversation but she only managed to hear a few words. "Where is the sceptre of the ancients Gordon,this is your last chance" the man asked. "I have no idea what your talking about" Gordon said shaking with fear. Stephanie peaked around the corner and saw the man raise his fist and conjure a fireball. Gordon didn't look surprised but Stephanie rubbed her eyes and looked away. when Stephanie was sure she was wasn't seeing things she looked up and saw the man throw the fireball at Gordon who started writhing and screaming while burning alive.
Then the blonde man jumped through the window and kicked the man into the punch that the tanned man had just thrown at him after kicking the hinges off the door, the man clutched his chest and screamed. Then the scarred man threw a fireball at him, the man laughed for a second before the funny man moved his hand and the man was suddenly thrown through the window. Then he crashed into the ground where the intimidating man and the man who Stephanie thought looked like Hugh Jackman were waiting. The man struggled to stand and threw himself at the Hugh Jackman lookalike who calmly stepped out of the way as he knew what was about to happen. Then the intimidating man knocked out the man with a hit across the jaw. As the man fell to the ground unconscious Stephanie stepped into the room and all the man gathered around her.
