Chapter 5: Staff:

Bassaam's POV:

I am now 33 years old. My school is complete and now I just need my staff. I sent out an add and now I'm sitting in my office, waiting.

"Are you Mr. Banban?"

"Banban's just a character," I said, "you can call me Bassaam and your name?"

"Biwako Rakuragi. I'm here for a teaching job. I'm really great at science."

"Really," I asked.

"Yes," says Miss Rakuragi, "for instance, did you know that cats have more bones than humans, with an average of 244 compared to humans' 206?"

"No, I did not know that," I said, "well, I just hope you don't go too big for the kids."

"Oh, sorry," says Miss Rakuragi.

"Don't worry," I said, "you got the job." She then hugs me. "UUUUUUUUUmmmmmmmmm... you can let go now."

"Sorry, I was just really excited... I have been turned down by a lot of schools," says Miss Rakuragi.

"Why," I asked.

"UUUUUUUUUmmmmmmmmm... I don't know." She shrugs.

"Okay then," I said.

. . .

Next was Ori Iwasaki. She was demonstrating her art.

"Wow, that's better than the murals I've made," I said.

"I think they're good," says Miss Iwasaki, "but I think Banban would look better in red."

I then looked at the Banban image... and she's right. I had him blue with some yellow. "You're our new art teacher," I said.

. . .

I was sitting at my desk. "Mr. al-Badour?"

"Yes," I asked.

"I'm Sosa Fujikawa and I'm here to apply for the new history teacher job."

"You know history," I asked.

"Indeed, for example, all life came from the sea," says Mr. Fujikawa.

"That's more of a science thing," I said.

"It should still count as our history," says Mr. Fujikawa.

I then thought about it. "You have a point," I said, "you got the job!"

. . .

"And I've always loved books," says Sayomi Tamura, "but I'm a pretty slow reader."

"I think some people rad too fast," I said, "you don't get to enjoy the stories. You got the job!"

. . .

"Thuh nuh-ame's Thomas Hicks eend ah was thuh roughest, toughest lawman in thuh American state awf Texas!"

"So... what are you doing here," I asked.

"Ah once accidently arrested an innocent man, so thay done kicked me out awf burg"

"That's a little harsh," I said, "was it that obvious?"

"Nope, but none awf 'em cared! thay jus' felt ah should've known, so hooaah bother goin' back? ifin' thay kay-yun't forgive me for a mistay-uk anyone kay-yun make, the-yn ah'm nary goin' back! everhoo, ah'd may-uk a guh-reat detention teacher! ah could show thayse kids hooaah craahm dudn pay!"

"Works for me," I said.

. . .

"So, you want to be our nurse," I asked.

"Normally, I would find this beneath my genius, but I need the money and who knows? Maybe this would be good for me."

"Well, Kazunori Okura, you got the job," I said.

"Maybe you should make sure I'm legit first before putting kids' lives in my hands," I said.

"Oh yeah, good point," I said.

. . .

I now have my staff. Now, all I need is to get some students.
