**Chapter One: Getting Sucked In**
De'von was whistling as he lounged on his couch, scrolling through his phone while reading the final chapters of *My Hero Academia.* He was torn about the ending. While he was happy that Izuku could still be a hero even without his quirk, it felt like a letdown after all that hard training with One For All to make it his own only to lose it in the end. Although becoming a teacher had fulfilled him, it took eight long years after graduating high school just to get a super suit. Nevertheless, the story was still good overall.
Setting his phone down, he got up from the couch and stretched. The young man headed into the kitchen, grabbed a pot, filled it with water, and placed it on the stove to heat up some noodles. Still lost in thought, De'von reflected on the many great moments in *My Hero Academia,* like the epic fight with Overhaul and the battle against All For One. Yet, one fight stood out to him above all others: the clash with Stars and Stripes. She was such an incredible character with an overpowered quirk, he chuckled to himself-too bad she ended up being just a plot convenience.
De'von looked down at the pot, noticing the water had begun to boil. He grabbed a pack of noodles and dropped them into the water, setting the seasoning packet aside. As he watched the noodles cook, he mused aloud, "If I were in *My Hero Academia,* I'd definitely change some things. I'd make sure Izuku kept his quirk and ensure Stars and Stripes survived her fight. There are so many things I could possibly change-even Nighteye's death, though I didn't care about him that much."
He scratched his head, pondering, "What would my quirk be? I wouldn't want a mutant type, and while transformation is cool, emitters seem pretty interesting. Like Bakugo's explosions or Todoroki's ice and fire... maybe something like Stars and Stripes. Her touch-based quirk, New Order, allows her to set rules on things. What if I could have command over whatever I touch-whether it's an object or a living being?"
As he considered these possibilities, he grabbed the pot to pour out the noodles. While stirring, he accidentally burned himself and winced. "What if I could touch concepts, so I could be luckier? I'd call this quirk Total Command," he concluded, letting his imagination run wild.
As De'von sat back down, finally finishing his noodles, he grabbed his phone and stared at the final chapter. He decided to reread from the beginning and pressed the back button repeatedly until he reached chapter one. However, instead of the usual title "Izuku Midoriya: Origin Story," the screen glitched crazily, and the title was blocked out, pulsating with an eerie glow.
De'von tried to swipe his phone away, but it was unresponsive. He attempted to turn it off, but the screen wouldn't shut down. "Did I somehow get a virus?" he wondered aloud. "I knew going to that shady website to read these would eventually give my phone a virus. I should have gone to the original site instead of being cheap."
He sighed and was about to put his phone down when it suddenly brightened, filling the room with blinding light. In an instant, everything went white, and De'von disappeared completely, leaving his noodles to crash to the floor. The phone slipped from his hand and fell to the ground. As the screen slowly cleared up, it now displayed a manga panel with a new title: "Kenji Takahashi: Origin Story."
