Godzilla and Rodan were fighting each other in the ruined remains of Hollywood when they both looked at each other.
"Do we njust get into these fights because we have nothing better to do?' Rodan pointed out upon flapping his wings to cool himself off. "Or is it a way to build up our strength?"
"Honestly it's probably in our instincts to just attack each other at times." Godzilla said upon firing his radioactive atomic breath at the 1 remaining skyscraper. "We're probably just doing it to keep ourselves occupied."
Eventually the reptilian Kaiju realized why they were doing something stupid and proceeded to head northward up the coast.
