Midoriya really couldn't believe what he was seeing. Lila had transformed into Chrysalis in his mom's apartment. He never thought she would ever do something so disgusting, at least not to this extent. Gabriel looked like he was about to get ready to join in the fight. Chrysalis stopped him and locked onto Midoriya.

"You really don't want to fight me right now, Izuku," Chrysalis said to him.

"I don't think you're in position to be telling us what to do, Caterpillar," Bakugo growled at her.

"Actually, I am," Chrysalis said back, "Izuku, you're smart. Do you notice anything missing at the moment?"

Midoriya was confused as to what she was getting at. He was worried that she lost Uraraka's Miraculous, but it was still there. He had his Miraculous. Then it clicked once he spotted the Butterfly Miraculous. He remembered how terrible he felt when he held that Miraculous back in Paris. Just thinking about it, gave him chills up his back. He even thought about how weird they felt when he touched one of them.

Then he realized what she was talking about.

"The akumas..." Midoriya mumbled as his eyes grew wide, "W-Where did you put them?"

"Why would I tell you anything? They're my akumas after all," Chrysalis said back, "Besides, I have... I don't even know how much akumas because of your Miraculous. They could be anywhere."

Midoriya clenched his teeth and didn't know what to do. If he fought her, she could easily send as many akumas as she wanted. He really had to do something, especially since she was in his mom's apartment.

"So you're not actually going to fight us?" Bakugo said to her, "You're just going to use others to do your dirty work for you. Villains like you make me sick."

"You know, I could actually fight you if Izuku just gave me his Miraculous," Chrysalis said to them as she played with her cane.

"Like I'd ever let you take Deku's Miraculous ever again," Bakugo growled out, "Not after what you pulled back in Paris."

Chrysalis lowered her shoulders and wanted to fight them anyway.

"You asked for it," Chrysalis said to them.

Chrysalis activated Uraraka's quirk, causing her to float. She touched a few pieces of furniture, causing them to float as well. Midoriya was about to put on his Miraculous, but Chrysalis used the floating coffee table and slammed it into him. He tried to get out of the way, but he got pinned up against the wall with her on the other side of it.

"Let's see how you like it when I pin you down, Izuku," Chrysalis said to him.

He tried to push against it, but Chrysalis kept going at it. Without his quirk, he could barely get this off of him. He could still feel the Miraculous in his hand, but he could barely move his arm since it was pinned down by the coffee table. If only he could put the Miraculous on his belt, then he could transform.

"Chrysalis, you won't get away with this," Midoriya said to her, "Even if you get my Miraculous back, there are a lot of pro heroes around that can easily take you down. You have no idea how different it is here compared to your Paris."

"It doesn't matter. More quirks and heroes just means more targets for my akumas," Chrysalis growled at him as pushed the table against him, "Don't forget, I still have all of those akumas that you helped me send out to your Japan!"

Midoriya felt his grip loosen around his Miraculous, but then Bakugo zoomed over to them and grabbed Chrysalis's arm. Midoriya could finally push the coffee table off of him. Bakugo didn't want to damage Midoriya's mom's apartment, but he had to do something. He threw her into the floating furniture, making her touch them. Suddenly they got heavy and came crashing down towards her. Chrysalis just barely dodged them, but got her foot stuck. She quickly made the furniture float above them all and pushed them towards Bakugo and Midoriya.

Just as Bakugo was going to catch it, Chrysalis quickly deactivated it. It landed much heavier than he thought which threw him off. Just as Bakugo was about to drop it, Chrysalis launched at him and touched him. Bakugo floated up towards the ceiling, and Midoriya quickly attached the keychain to his belt. Before he could transform, Chrysalis launched at him. Midoriya quickly gripped onto her hands, which caused him to float. He could barely get a good grip on her with not much leverage.

"Izuku, you're not going to stop me that easily," Chrysalis growled at him, "I will keep coming after you and your Miraculous! Ladybug and Cat Noir had to deal with this all the time with HawkMoth. He akumatized so many people in Paris just to get their Miraculous! Now it's your turn. You might as well just give it to me now!"

Midoriya felt something about this moment very nerve racking. He stared at her, realizing that she was right. She wasn't going to stop, just like HawkMoth. But that also meant that Ladybug and Cat Noir went through the same thing. He smiled, remembering how that whole thing turned out.

"Do you remember how it turned out for HawkMoth? He was defeated by Ladybug and Cat Noir, just like you will be. Only this time, I'll be the one who defeats you, Chrysalis," Midoriya said back.

Chrysalis pushed him through the air as he tried his best to do the same. He slammed into the wall and was pinned up against it again.

"I'm nothing like HawkMoth!" Chrysalis cried out, "He fought in the shadows all the time and never dared to leave his own mansion! He even tried to keep his only son isolated and away from everyone!"

Midoriya used his legs to get some leverage and pushed against it. He finally felt a bit of a grip on her.

"You're always lying to everyone around you just to get your way!" Midoriya cried out, "What does that solve? It's not going to get you anywhere, Lila! I'm going to defeat you, and it doesn't matter what you throw at me!"

Chrysalis clenched her teeth as he pushed her towards the wall. Then she gripped onto his hands tighter, causing him to fall to the floor. He suddenly felt himself get really heavy and dropped to the ground. He could move a little, but just barely. Uraraka's Miraculous wasn't as strong as her actual quirk, but he still couldn't move his arms to pick himself up. Chrysalis floated lower to the floor and kneeled down but still floated. She pulled at his green bushy hair and looked at his Miraculous.

"I'm done playing around with you," Chrysalis said to him, "I will have your Miraculous."

Before Chrysalis could take his Miraculous, she felt something slipping off of her finger. Uraraka's ring came off and was now floating towards Midoriya's mom. She grabbed it, catching Chrysalis's attention. All of the furniture fell to the floor once the ring slipped off of her finger. She looked so dumbfounded that she didn't see Bakugo coming for her. He grabbed her cane, ready to break it in half.

"You better just give it up now," Bakugo growled out, "We could easily send Ladybug over here right now."

"Then do it! I'll still send out akumas," Lila growled back, "In fact, I feel one coming right now."

Midoriya and Bakugo's eyes widened in shock, worried that they might get akumatized. Midoriya tried to get up, but Chrysalis still went for his Miraculous by yanking on his hair.

"Ah ah ah... You should watch what's about to happen," Chrysalis said to him.

Midoriya didn't understand what she was getting at, but then he saw the akuma getting through the crack in their front door. The akuma flew around and soon found someone to akumatize. It absorbed into Uraraka's ring, which was being held by Midoriya's mom.

Midoriya's eyes widened in horror as he kept getting his hair pulled by Chrysalis.

"Mom! No!" Midoriya cried out and fought through her grip.

Midoriya noticed her hands shaking and gripped on her head like she had a headache.

"I-Izuku, w-what's going on...?" Midoriya's mom said to him.

"Mom, this is an akuma. You need to fight this feeling," Midoriya said to her, "I know that you can do it. You're strong and always took care of me. Even when I was having a hard time, you still stuck by my side even when I might've not liked it at the time. You and me have always been a pretty good team."

Chrysalis pulled on his hair, which caused Midoriya's mom to panic.

"Izuku! Leave him alone!" Midoriya's mom cried out as tears formed under her eyes.

"Come on, you know you want to come after me," Chrysalis said to her, "I have your son right here. You care so much about him, don't you? He must be pretty important since he's the only one around. What ever happened to his dad I wonder?"

Midoriya's mom's eyes widened in shock, and Midoriya knew exactly what she was trying to do. Bakugo tried to get ready for an explosion, but Chrysalis still pulled at Midoriya's hair. Midoriya could feel tears forming through his eyes as she pulled at it some more.

"Must be a sore subject then," Chrysalis said to her, "Maybe he left to go get milk and never came back. I wouldn't blame him."

"Leave Hisashi out of this!" Midoriya's mom cried out as she gripped her head, "I-I can't believe I actually let you in here! I gave you information about my son, and I trusted you."

"It really makes you want to punch me, doesn't it?" Chrysalis asked her.

"Shut up, Caterpillar!" Bakugo yelled at her as he aimed his gauntlet right at her, "Let go of Deku! Right now!"

Midoriya fought his way off of her, but soon she let go of him. He soon ran over to his mom and grabbed a hold of her hands. They were shaking, but he kept them in his hands and didn't let go. He smiled at her, not being afraid of anything for her.

"I love you mom, and I'm so happy to see you. I really missed you back in Paris. All I wanted to do was get home so I could finally hug you," Midoriya said to her.

He embraced her, causing her to cry. She felt so much better just by hugging him. Soon enough, she was hugging him back and crying into his shirt.

"I love you too, Izuku," Midoriya's mom said back, "I missed you so much."

The akumatization broke, causing the akuma to fly out of Uraraka's Miraculous. Midoriya looked down at the ring and was so surprised to see his mom take it from her.

"Mom, I can't believe it! You broke out of the akumatization! No one's ever done that before! Well, besides Jirou," Midoriya cried out.

"Umm... I did. When we rescued you from Butterfly Bastard," Bakugo said back.

Midoriya then looked at the akuma and didn't know what to do about it. He really needed Ladybug to capture it.

"It looks like you've lost, Caterpillar," Bakugo said to her.

Chrysalis suddenly let out a laugh that gave everyone chills in the room. She stood up, and Bakugo and Midoriya got ready to fight.

"Dekku, Power Up!" Midoriya called out.

Then nothing happened. Midoriya felt his stomach tighten up when he looked down to see his Miraculous missing from his belt. He looked up to see Chrysalis wearing it around her belt. She had a sly smile on her face that just gave Midoriya chills.

"You've should've gone for the Butterfly Miraculous," Chrysalis said mostly towards Midoriya's mom, "Nooroo, Dekku..."

Midoriya remembered something that Uraraka mentioned to him a long time ago. Something about this told him to get his mother out of here.

"Unify!"

Midoriya watched Chrysalis transform into a fusion of both his Miraculous and the Butterfly Miraculous. He couldn't look away, but knew that this wasn't good.

"Kacchan, take my mom," Midoriya said to him, "We've gotta get out of here! You can get her out of here faster than me!"

Bakugo carried his mom on his back, and they both ran for it. Midoriya made sure to grab his backpack just in time. They couldn't look back and just kept running. Midoriya kept looking down at Uraraka's Miraculous and hoped to get this to her. He really needed to get out of here, even if he didn't have his Miraculous back.

"Kacchan, we've gotta--"

Then something exploded out of the roof and went right for them.

It was HawkMoth. He looked pissed off as he launched towards with his gigantic wings.

Midoriya's eyes widened as he got closer to them. Bakugo tried to pick up the pace, but Midoriya wasn't as fast as him.

"Kacchan, go! I'll catch up with you!" Midoriya cried out, "Get my mom to U.A.!"

"Don't be stupid! You can't fight him off without your Miraculous!" Bakugo cried back.

Midoriya looked down at Uraraka's Miraculous and put it on. Bakugo noticed and understood what he was planning on doing.

"I'll at least stall him for a bit. Get her out of here!" Midoriya cried out.

Bakugo nodded as Midoriya's mom called for him. He used his explosive quirk and accelerate his speed in the air.

Once he was out of view, Midoriya kept running but in a different direction. He glanced down at the ring, hoping it would work out alright. He touched his backpack, hoping to make it light. It worked as it felt much lighter on his back. Luckily, HawkMoth was following him. He turned around to face him, ready for his next move.

"It's pretty stupid of you to let your friend leave you alone," HawkMoth said to him, "Especially since I didn't pay you back for ruining my plans."

Midoriya didn't say anything back as he ran around touching cars and bikes. They all floated up, making Midoriya slightly sick to his stomach already. Then he felt a tug on his shirt as HawkMoth used his invisible grip to pull Midoriya towards him. Midoriya instinctively deactivated Uraraka's quirk just like she always does. Cars and bikes came crashing towards him, causing HawkMoth to let go of him. Unfortunately, he didn't have his Miraculous with him to land softly. He landed funny on his foot and sprained his ankle.

He tried to get up and run, but it hurt quite a bit. Suddenly, another explosion came out of the pile of cars and bikes. HawkMoth flew right for him, and Midoriya ran for it even though his ankle hurt. Then he felt a yank again and was lifted into the air. He felt like he was being thrown by absolutely nothing as HawkMoth flew right at him. He grabbed him and flew around with him in his invisible grip. He wasn't slowing down any time soon, but Midoriya tried to fight him anyway.

"I won't let you do this!" Midoriya cried out, "You've done enough of damage in Paris! I won't let you do it here, too!"

Midoriya then touched HawkMoth, causing him to fall towards the ground. Midoriya braced for impact, but then remembered that he can make himself float. He quickly did that and slipped out of HawkMoth's invisible grip. HawkMoth landed hard on the ground, and he couldn't move. Midoriya remembered that Uraraka's Miraculous isn't as strong as her actual quirk. He could still move, so Midoriya tried to get away from him once he deactivated the Miraculous on him. Unfortunately, that made the one on HawkMoth deactivate as well.

Midoriya felt like he was going to throw up, but he had to keep running. HawkMoth got up, and Midoriya knew that he had to get out of there. He ran even though his ankle hurt a lot. HawkMoth launched at him, looking about ready to fight him for real. Even with invisible grip no where near him, he could still feel it coming for him.

"Izuku Midoriya! You're the reason why I was arrested!" HawkMoth yelled out, "Everything that I've worked so hard for is gone because of you!"

Midoriya felt a huge chill go up and down his back as he kept running. He really wished in that moment that he had his quirk back. Then he remembered that he had his upgrades in his backpack. Once he saw how close HawkMoth was however, he knew that he would never let him out of his sight. He even tried to feel something. Anything that felt like One for All. He couldn't tell if it was actually there or not, but he could swear he felt something.

Like a tiny spark.

He smiled, remembering that feeling. It didn't feel like much, but it was enough for a single punch. Midoriya turned around to face HawkMoth again.

"You even dragged Adrien into this! And now he's stuck here in your Japan!" HawkMoth yelled out, "Going to your hero school! I've been trying to keep him away from stuff like that!"

"I didn't do anything! This was all you! You pushed Adrien to do all of those things!" Midoriya yelled back, "He's here because of you!"

Midoriya clenched his fist, hoping he could actually pull this off. He tried to concentrate on that feeling even if it was so small. Then something tingled up his arm, giving him a good and familiar feeling. Once HawkMoth came at him, he caught him in his invisible grip once again. As Midoriya swung his arm at him, he felt his arm get stronger in a split second. He swore his arm had that red glow all around it. HawkMoth's eyes widened a little too late as he came at him.

"Texas Smash!" Midoriya cried out.

Midoriya landed a punch right into HawkMoth's stomach, finally feeling that One for All sensation running up and down his arm. HawkMoth was launched across the city and slammed into a building. Once he left contact with Midoriya's fist, he felt something break in his arm. That was the one thing that he didn't miss as he held it.

Midoriya finally felt like he could relax as he took his time to head back to the dormitory. He still felt like he had to at least run so he wouldn't spot him.

Before Midoriya thought he was out of the clear, then something caught his eye. Something was flying all over the city, and it gave him chills in an instant.

There were akumas everywhere.

Midoriya felt his heart skip a beat once he spotted them flying all around him and Japan.

"I need to warn Ladybug..."

Another amazing chapter!

This was probably one of my favorite confrontations to write! I just really like where this story is heading when it comes to HawkMoth and Chrysalis! Chrysalis is pretty much a better fighter when she actually has Uraraka's Miraculous! Also, did anyone spot the little touch I added with Midoriya being told, now... it's your turn? I didn't even think about it until I wrote it down, and then I was like, Wow! That fits so well!! So we'll see how it goes with that later on!

The fact that HawkMoth is pissed off just makes this confrontation much more engaging, and I was hoping that it worked! Midoriya yelling at him like that is just so satisfying because clearly Adrien doesn't deserve any of this!

There are akumas coming!

More to come soon!
