Ruby Gillman wanted to live out a normal teenage life,but when two new girls appeared at Oceanside High she faces a challenge! Sure a mermaid and a man-eating demon wouldn’t be a problem to face,what can go wrong? Well then there’s go normalcy.

5. Chapter 5:What Did You Just Said

Ruby stared at Jennifer blankly. She was unsure of what Jennifer had just said to her.

"Im sorry, what did you just say?", asked Ruby.

Jennifer has a big smile across on her face.

"The way that you turned into a giant kraken, that was cool.",repeated Jennifer.

Ruby was about to say something. Then, she heard footsteps that were coming upstairs! That is when Ruby had to think fast.

"Jennifer, can you please leave!",shouted Ruby.

She tried to push Jennifer out of the window, back to where she had came from! Jennifer stood still. She looked at Ruby.

"No, I have a better way.",revealed Jennifer.

Ruby watched as Jennifer walked her way. She went straight towards Ruby's bed to hide under the covers.Ruby turned her head in confusion, then, back towards the door. Her ears perked up once she had heard the door opening, which meant she had to face her mother.
