It's been 5 years since Nepgear first arrived into Ultradimension
Little Iffy, Little Peashy and Little Compa are all 7 now
The three children are very well behaved at least when she or Histoire are involved (mostly her because Histoire can only use Nepgear as a way to keep her little trouble makers in check so often)
Nepgear has been spending as much time as she could spare with her kids, yes, her kids, she's come to accept that she is in fact their adoptive mother now, even if she hasn't done the paperwork to officially adopted them yet (she needs to talk to her Dimension's Histoire about that before she goes through the proceedings)
And of course there's only so much time that she could spare for the children because of course the work of basically running the nation fell on her shoulders and this time it's even worse than before due to the fact that Plutia would often use Iris Heart as a way to scare Histoire from getting her to do work and Neptune is almost always with Plutia (much to the pure annoyance that Nepgear feels)
Then there's Vert who skips working to come and kidnap Neptune to do whatever she thinks that girlfriends do
So Nepgear is at times forced to bring the children with her to the office (not much work gets one on those days)
Then an odd triplet of crisis happens to all 3 nations at the same time and Neptune and Plutia chooses to go help them out and Neptune drags her along with them
Admittedly it's not a bad thing and Nepgear would have willingly joined had she not been sleep deprived regularly (she could seriously see the dark circles forming under her eyes)
The only crisis in the three nations that actually needed her help was Lastation and she really should have gone home afterwards
She really should have gone back afterwards, she could have stopped her babies from being kidnapped
She didn't know if the others were running in their human form or if they transformed into their CPU forms and are flying
Because she transformed and took off the moment she heard that her children were kidnapped
The others didn't know it but when she heard the children were getting kidnapped months ago she had put trackers on all of her children, so she knew exactly where the kids were
She had fully intended to give Arfoire the beatdown of the lifetime with how angry she was feeling at the time
It took both Ultra Black Heart and Ultra White Heart to hold her back from acting on her emotions
When Iris Heart started to "punish" Arfoire that Nepgear took the chance to take her daughter back and make sure the brunette child wasn't hurt
After giving little Iffy a quick check up she takes both Little Iffy and Little Compa and took off in the direction of where Little Peashy is located
Turns out Peashy didn't need saving because the woman who kidnapped Peashy was knocked out (Nepgear vaguely recognised the woman as Rei Rights)
That night she had the smaller Histoire call the larger one that she's familiar with and the three of them conversed going over everything that they needed to go over
By the end of the night Nepgear is officially the adoptive mother of the three children
Meaning that on the off chance that the seven sages or anyone else were to attempt anything against her children again she is well within her rights to take legal action against them
It's been a Few days since the kidnapping incident
The day by itself was weird
For starters she met this dimension's Neptune
Apparently the person spying on her during training every so often was her
She definitely enjoyed the short amount of time she spent with the Kid Neptune as she took the girl home
she could feel some hero worship coming from the young girl after she had saved her (it was a nice feeling, to be appreciated for who she is)
And then there's the situation in the Basilicom
According to Histoire, the blond man that's seated at the dining table is Peashy's biological father whose come to adopt her so she can go home to their family
And Neptune has shoved her foot into her mouth and said some hurtful things to her child
Nepgear didn't say anything, she didn't need to, she just got down on her knees and opened her arms with the normal soft loving smile she gives her children on her face
The fearful look on the young blonds face showed just how scared she was of the possibility that Nepgear might reject her like Neptune had done
When Peashy tearfully tackled her to the ground in a hug, she definitely felt it in her relatively sore muscles
It took some effort to convince the young blond to go wait in her room with her sisters (Nepgear could tell that the tree of them were hiding out of sight to listen to what's happening)
From the way the man was behaving he didn't want Peashy to leave the room (but that wasn't something that a sharp look and some killer intent couldn't stop)
"Name" the warmth in her voice when she was speaking to the children is completely gone
"Pardon?" the man asked (his voice was vaguely familiar to Nepgear although she couldn't quite put her finger on it)
"Name, identity card number, current occupation, location of work, current monthly income and current residence, i need that information along with the same information from your wife should you two still be together" Nepgear repeats and expands on with her voice somehow colder than it was prior
"That's not the type of information that one simply demands from another person" the man retaliates
"The great big lawbook of Gamindustri that is used throughout Gamindustri as a whole, under the topic of adoption, point 5 states that the adoptive parent can request any information relevant to ensure the safety of their adoptive child should one or both birth parent(s) of the child adopted wish to bring the child back into their family" Nepgear recites from memory not even the slightest bit bothered by the man's attempt to refute her
The man was taken aback by what she just said
"Point 4 dictates that the adoptive parent may go through the sequence of getting blood work done in order to confirm that the Birth parent(s) are in fact who they claim to be" Nepgear continues, "failure to comply on your end means that i as the legal guardian of the child is well within my rights to refuse and should you continue to pester us i am within my rights to bring this matter to the court of law"
Sure enough the man left shortly after
As she left to go to her room after the man left she saw the mildly terrified looks on the Ultra dimension counterparts of Noire, Vert and Blanc (Neptune had run off to the room she shared with Plutia after saying her hurt and emotion filled words to the child and Plutia followed after Peashy rejected the Plushy Plutia had made for the girl)
Upon entering her room, she sees the three girls huddled together on her bed
It's not hard to tell that Peashy is upset
Now she has to explain to her girls why she did things the way that she did and that she has nothing but their well being and their happiness in mind
A few days after the "father" that came to adopt Peashy had left it became explicitly clear that the man was a faker
While everyone was more or less unaffected
Little Peashy started to develop trust issues and clung to Nepgear like the Lilac haired girl is her lifeline
Between whatever Neptune had said and the fake father promising a lie, it wasn't really a surprise
So Nepgear didn't mind (even if she did, she wasn't going to say anything that could push the child away when the girl needed someone she can go to, count on and rely on)
Little Iffy and Little Compa have put some distance between themselves and neptune as well
Then again, Nepgear was probably the only one who didn't hear Neptune emotionally shoving her foot into her mouth
Probably for the best, she decided, she really didn't need more reasons to feel disappointed at her sister
Right now the three children are watching her while she goes through the motions of her training regime
From what she can see from the children whenever she faces in their direction Little Iffy looks excited, Little Compa looks happy to be there however Little Peashy looks bored
She'll probably have to cut her regime short today, just as that thought went through her head she felt something at the edge of her senses
She ushers her children to her and kept her eyes trained in the direction she felt something from
Sure enough from that direction emerged Arfoire, Warechu and Annonydeath
Nepgear could feel her blood start to boil as it looks like the sages are trying for her children again
She didn't waste any time when she transformed, however instead of holding her gunblade with her right hand like she normally does she's holding it in her left and separated the blade section of her gunblade
Cracks were forming all over her processor and she couldn't understand why
They couldn't possibly be doing enough damage to her for her processor to be cracking
So what does that leave? Her own power being too much for her processor to handle? It sounds ludacris but it's the only explanation that she can think of at this moment
Regardless, as more cracks form it's getting harder for her to maneuver around
In the corner of her vision she sees a flash of light
She expected to get attacked by unknown individuals
What she didn't expect was for Warechu to be engulfed in a pillar of fire, for Arfoire to be showered by icicles and for an unfamiliar blond CPU in a white processor to punch Anonydeath square in the chest, hard
The man in power armor was sent flying into Arfoire like a human projectile
Both of them were knocked out and Werechu was also downed in a circle of charred glass
"Stay away from our mom!" 3 voices said, 2 she recognised and one she didn't
Looking around she saw Little Iffy and Little Compa
But they looked different
Little Iffy's normally brunette hair is now a fiery blond and her green eyes now a ruby red
Little Compa's normally Congo Pink hair and eyes are now Icy Blue
She couldn't see her little bee
And the only person left in the clearing is…
…When did Peashy get her hands on a CPU Memory?
She's pacing in the dining room, none of the other CPUs are around and it's late enough in the day that Neptune and Plutia would be asleep
The three children are back to normal and are in the room with her along with Histoire
Well both Histoires (Hyperdimension Histoire has joined them via call)
Nepgear is pacing because she only has herself to thank and blame for the current situation
Her using shares to produce milk in order to breastfeed the children years ago has made them compatible to shares
Meaning if Peashy didn't get her hands on a CPU memory from her kidnapper (why the woman had a CPU memory on her person in the first place is a mystery to her) she would have an enhanced form like her sisters
The reason that she's pacing right now is that she's hit an impasse
One one hand she can leave Peashy as she is and the young blond will never physically grow older than 7 but that comes with the mental issue of the girl being forever stuck with the mindset of a 7 year old
On the other hand she could use the method that Histoire (the one from hyperdimension) suggested which would cut her off from the CPU memory and allow grow up normally like her sisters until Nepgear undoes the seal but this method has the potential of completely cutting her off from shares meaning that she most likely will not be able to even access her would be enhanced form
She would have continued on like this for hours if little Peashy didn't tackle her to the ground with a hug
The "Pea want to grow big with Iffy and Compa" came as a bit of a surprise to her. Maybe she should have asked the child what she wanted to do rather than agonize over this herself
But this leads back to the question of what if she's completely cut off from her power? What if someone comes after her?
"Mama will keep Pea, Iffy and Compa safe" It seems like her worries were written all over her face, either that or her children were able to sense her worries
"Like Mama kept us safe today" "we love you Mama" she was taken aback when little Iffy and little Compa joined in on the hug
It would be as she's falling asleep later that night that she remembers that she didn't ask about the way her processor was cracking earlier
6 years, thats how long its been since the revelation that Peashy had unintentionally used a CPU memory and the subsequent sealing of said CPU powers
Thankfully the young blond was able to access her enhanced form in which her hair remains blond and her eyes turn golden
Regardless, it's taken her 6 years of constantly working (when she's not parenting or resting) To gather enough shares to attempt to open the portal back home has been taxing her her
Especially since she's been somehow becoming the butt of almost every joke that happens in the group
On the bright side her girls have finished middle school a few days ago with really good grades meaning that should things go according to plan she can enroll the kids into Planeptune high school of Hyperdimension rather than Ultradimension
Right now she, her children and Histoire are in a small clearing not far from Planeptune where both Histoire can make the call significantly easier than before to allow the best chance at this
And they succeeded, what's more, they managed to open a permanent portal between both dimensions so travel between the dimensions is now possible at any given time
You might be wondering why Nepgear is here without any of the other CPUs and the answer is simple, this is petty revenge for all the jokes that they've made with her being at the butt of
She definitely wants to be there when Histoire forces Neptune to do work again but right now
Right now, she wants to sleep
Preferably in her Noire's arms, but sleep was a must
It seems like the last 11 years in the other dimension was way more taxing on her psyche than she had realized
Because the moment she saw Noire, she broke down crying in the woman's arms
She vaguely remembers three more sets of hands wrapping around her in hugs
But for now, all that mattered was that she's here, in her Noire's arms
Anything that happens afterwards
