After a near-death experience in the woods as a child, Izuku is gifted the nanosuit. With powers he once thought impossible to possess Izuku will try his hardest to become a hero but first, he must master all the nanosuits abilities, and face the burdens that have come with it. 8. Chapter 8

The duos and matchups were made using a tournament generator thing so this is all genuinely random and I just wrote to make it work, I just like the nature of the random selection actually being random.

And a slight mistake in the last chapter I meant to say Izuku would get 3 hours of sleep not 4 if he fell asleep at 4:30 which means he ended up getting around 2.

Last thing i did NOT PROOF READ this chapter so dont judge any grammatical errors mild inconsistencies and stuff.

The Maximum Hero Chapter 3: Fist a cuffs

If someone were to describe a hot mess they would probably mention fashionable bedhead, loose fitting clothes, maybe mismatched socks. Izuku at this moment would not be a hot mess.

Hair that's unevenly spread while still being wild and untamed from sleeping on the floor, large eye bags under bloodshot eyes and a paler complexion than usual. That's not even mentioning the fact that if he stays still for more than 5 seconds his head falls like a brick, begging him to dreamland. He almost missed his stop on the train from being asleep in his seat!

He still has 6 minutes before class starts at 8 but he has just barely entered Yuuei grounds, if he runs he can make it, and if he uses the nanosuit he can for sure make it but he technically cant use it since everyone thinks its a quirk.

Izuku is running towards the main building when he has a sneaky idea. If no one can see the nanosuit then no one can claim he was using his quirk. Izuku stops running for a moment and focuses to partially summon the nanosuit on only his legs, and with even more intense concentration he keeps it hidden under his clothes. The only part of the nanosuit that is visible are the parts on his shoes, as he doesn't have enough practice yet to form it on his feet under his shoes yet.

With partial transformations Izuku cannot properly utilize any of the suit modes, but it does improve whatever is being covered. Once his legs and feet are fully covered he runs into the building as fast as he can, with the speed of the nanosuit he skips the elevator and goes straight for the stairs. It doesn't take him long at all to reach his classrooms level. At the start of the hallway of his class he sees the worst possible thing at the other side, Aizawa sensei.

They both stop and stare at each other, then the door to the classroom, then to the clock next to the door, then back to each other ,then at the same time they both start walking at a casual pace to the door. Izuku still has a minute before class starts so if he gets to the class before Aizawa he should be fine. Izuku speeds up his walk, so does Aizawa, at this pace Izuku is not sure who will make it first, so Izuku jogs at the same time his sensei does.

Both of them are still equally far from the door so Izuku stops hesitating and runs full speed to the door. Aizawa is a full grown, experienced pro hero but Izuku has the nanosuit even if it is just a partial summon so in a test of speed there is a clear winner.

Izuku reaches the door and swings it open, he then bolts to his seat maneuvering around his classmates who are talking amongst themselves and sits down as Aizawa swings into the room.

Izuku's sudden and dramatic entrance causes everyone to stop talking to each other and take their seats just as their teacher adjusts himself in front of the class.

"Huff…Hello class I'm glad to see that everyone is seated and….here on time" Aizawa gives Izuku a look but doesn't say anything.

The sleepy teacher grabs a stack of paper his desk and hands some to the front of each of the lines of desks, "these are your schedules for the first semester you have 4 classes each fifty five minutes long from eight thirty to twelve twenty five then you have a lunch before you finally have your hero class, that's all, rest of homeroom is freetime."

Izuku heard none of that as his head is limp with light snores sounding every few seconds. "Hey, hey Midoriya, come on buddy, wake up", Kaminari nudges Izuku gently a few times, "I would let you sleep more but it's time to go." nudging was clearly not working so Kaminari pulls his hands apart and slaps them together for a loud CLAP.

NANOSUIT ENABLED

Gunshots, explosions, screaming, the Ceph are gunning down all the C.E.L.L soldiers he has to move or he'll be next. He moves from his sitting position to a standing one as fast as he can, after scanning the area he hears something coming from his left, who is that and who is Izuku? He is Alcatraz not Izuku…..no no no he is Izuku isn't he? Where… where is he who's calling him.

"Ku Izuku! What is the matter?!" Kaminari practically screams towards the confused boy. To his side are Iida and Uraraka who look equally concerned.

He's at Yuuei, it's his second day, when did he summon the nanosuit?

"I'm sorry Kaminari, I didn't get any sleep last night. I'm just jumpy". Izuku looks to Kaminari to see the blonde boy's face full of concern, Izuku allows the nanosuit to return to its dormant state. "What did you say we have now? Do we have a paper or something telling us where to go?"

Kaminari points to the table, clearly not convinced by Izukus weak excuse. "Yeah your copy is right there but it's time for lunch already, all the teachers let you sleep since today was just a bunch of introductions and what to expect blah blah Midnight even called you cute when she was here."

Uraraka chimes in, "You were snoring gently, every teacher took one look at you and I guess they all silently agreed to leave you alone." her smile goes from playful to worried, "But are you sure you are ok?"

Iida tags in, "Yes, you jumped up as if running from something, It was quite shocking and if you are not getting adequate sleep then I strongly recommend a nice cup of tea before bed"

Izuku is touched, he hasn't even known these guys that long but they already care for him this much? " I'm okay I swear thank you all for your concern but let's get going to lunch, sleeping really worked up an appetite."

With everything cleared up the fearsome foursome make their way over to the cafeteria. Once they arrive they wait in the line that has formed in front of the serving area.

"Lunch rush is our chef, that's so cool, I can't wait to try his udon, what do you guys think you'll get?" Kaminarin questions with a line of drool slowly sliding from his mouth.

Izuku is the first to answer, "I am craving a nice bacon cheeseburger"

Kaminari raises an eyebrow, "I don't mean anything by this but I wasn't expecting you to say something so American."

Now that Izuku thinks about it, why is he craving a bacon cheeseburger? He does like them sure but he has never really craved one before, strange.

"I'm not really that hungry so I'll just get a bowl of white rice for now", Uraraka states simply.

"I myself am planning to get a hearty bowl of ramen along with juice, I expect we will need all the energy we can get for our next class." Iida theorizes, and once he finishes talking they are the next to be served.

After getting their meals they all sit together in an empty booth near the center of the cafeteria. "Again I'm sorry for my response when I woke up, did I really sleep through all the classes?" Izuku once again apologizes.

Uraraka answers since Kaminari and Iida have their mouths full of food, "Yeah but honestly you don't need to worry we didn't get any homework and the only actual work we did was some basic questions on each subject to get the classes general level."

"Yes you are quite alright Midoriya, more importantly how do you feel now that you have gotten more rest? We have in my opinion our most important class next" Iida wipes his mouth with a napkin before taking another small bite of his food.

Izuku sets down his half eaten burger, " I still feel a little jumpy if I'm being honest but I'm not so tired anymore. I wonder what our next class will be about? Will there be a test like yesterday or something else?"

Kaminari wipes his mouth with his hand, " Hopefully we aren't threatened with being expelled again, that was way too scary."

Uraraka shivers and rubs her arms with her hands, " Tell me about it, I think today will probably be like what the other classes were, simple evaluation and introductions."

Izuku mentally agrees but at the same time he doubts her words, next class is hero class no way it'll be so simple right?

Everyone is seated and waiting back in class after lunch, Izuku isn't so tired anymore after his unplanned nap and a full meal but his nerves are still wound tight.

"IT'S MEEE, ENTERING THE ROOM LIKE A NORMAL PERSON", proudly announces All Might as he enters the room very much not like a normal person.

Izuku freezes for a second before his brain catches up to his fanboy shock, "ALL MIGHT?! Oh my god it's all might this has to be a dream It just cant be true it just cant be I am going to be taught by all might? No matter what else happens today nothing will take down my mood, and he's in his silver age costume that one is in my top 3 favorite All Might costumes-" Izuku would have kept his mutter session going but thankfully Kaminari hits him in his head with a well aimed ball of paper.

Izuku missed some of what All Might said but he still catches the most important part, " LET'S GET RIGHT INTO IT WITTTHHH… THE BATTLE TRIAL" All Might pulls out a button and presses it

"AND TO ACCOMPANY THIS TRIAL IS. YOUR. HERO BATTLE GEAR. What you bring to the battlefield is very important and our friends in the support course did their best to create whatever you requested.. NOW GO GET CHANGED AND MEET ME AT GROUNDS B" All Might walks out of the room to leave everyone to their costumes.

In the changing room Izuku unpacks his hero gear, he had an old sketch he considered but with the nanosuit he decided to change it up a little.

While it is similar in design it is a darker green and has the addition of being covered in hexagons like the nanosuit. It also no longer has a hoodie or mask but instead is a form fitting T-shirt that fits on his muscled body nicely. Along with similarly designed pants that have silver kneecaps, and while he knows he shouldn't wear his shoes since they could get destroyed he couldn't bring himself to part with his iconic footwear.

"Hey that's a pretty nice costume bro, super manly and kinda minimalist but it makes sense when you remember your quirk covers your entire body." Kirishima compliments Izuku with a toothy grin.

Izuku's freckles light up red as he blushes, "Thank you Kirishima yours is nice too, is the reason you don't have any fabric on your top body because your quirk would tear it?".

Kirishima laughs as he quickly activates his quirk, " HAha Good guess! And you are completely right! When I move around with my quirk active it tears whatever Im wearing, it's the same reason my pants are baggy. It's not like I can do the same thing as my top half and wear nothing, ever since Midnight's first costume they've been super strict about that kind of stuff."

Kaminari turns around from his locker fully dressed, "What do you guys think of my hero costume? Pretty rad huh?". He then strikes a quick classic hands on hip hero pose. His hero costume looks similar to casual wear, black leather jacket and pants, both with a white stripe and a fully white shirt.

"Looks pretty nice man, it suits your style and looks comfortable too! What's that on your ear though? It looks like part of a headset?". Kirishima points out his right ear.

Kaminari pops off the earpiece, "It's a communicator, I can use my quirk to power and control it."

Izuku perks up at this, "Wow so your quirk can output electricity and control electrical fields in direct contact with you? That's super cool!"

"Thank you Izuku and we should get going, we don't want to be the last ones out and some others have already left." Kaminari points out and jabs his thumb in the direction of the exit.

"I didn't even notice, yeah lets go." Izuku, Kaminari, and Kirishima all make their way out of the locker over to grounds B.

At grounds B there are a few other people, Iida went to the far side of the locker after excusing himself, stating that his suit up will take a bit more concentration and that he will meet everyone later. Kirishima also excused himself to go talk to some of their other classmates, Izuku sees him walk over to Kacchan and debates stopping him but decides it isn't his place to do so.

That leaves Izuku and Kaminari making small talk until the rest of their classmates are ready to start.

"Hey Izuku, check it out." Kaminari plainly states as he watches the door open behind them. He is looking at Yaoyorozu. Said girl is wearing what can loosely be described as a hero costume, it shows all of her stomach up to her neck, it looks more like a swimsuit than hero costume.

Izuku, not expecting to see such a thing, quickly turns around, "Why would you not warn me before telling me to look?!" Izuku was raised by a single mother so he is very respectful of women and would never intentionally stare at an exposed lady so this sight caught him very off guard.

Kaminari chuckles lightly, "Don't have a heart attack man it's not a big deal just wanted to clue you in yaknow bro code 101. At least I'm not drooling like an idiot like that guy over there."

Izuku turns his eyes to see a boy he thinks is called Mineta indeed drooling a bit with a derpy smile on his face. Once Yaoyorozu notices she gives him a look that causes him to turn away.

"I guess so, sorry I just wasn't expecting that" Midoriya apologizes

"Nah don't worry I wasn't either ." Kaminari turns back to the door, "Hey look, it's Iida and damn that hero suit goes hard!"

Izuku in no way disagrees, Iida looks like a modern white knight, and it looks very similar to Ingenium's hero costume. Izuku then makes the connection, both of them have engine quicks and a practically identical costume, they must be related! Izuku decides to ask Iida tomorrow during lunch since he doesn't want to bother him now.

"Nice hero suit Iida, it looks great!" Izuku fights the urge to compare it to Ingeniums own suit.

"Hey guys!" Uraraka snuck up on them while they were focused on Iida's entrance, "You all look so cool! I wish I added more detail on mine, it's a bit tight."

Before Izuku's flustered brain can form an accurate response Iida asks All Might a question, "Will we be conducting urban battles like in the entrance exams.

"HAHA GOOD GUESS YOUNG IIDA BUT NO WE WILL BE TAKING 2 STEPS AHEAD, THIS IS AN INDOOR BATTLE TRIAL " All Might continues with an explanation, " While you, the public, see villains caught and handled outdoors, statistically most villainous acts are committed indoors. For this test you will be separated into teams of 2 of 'heroes' and 'villains' fo battle".

The classroom fills with mixed emotions about the test.

"2 v 2 Battle, this soon?"

"Yuuei doesn't mess around huh"

"How much can I hurt my opponent"

"What determines wins and loses?"

"Some guy got a nasty infected red and green cut in the entrance exam, I still think about it"

Izuku chooses to ignore that last comment and to instead pay attention to All Might who apparently isn't done talking and looks a little overwhelmed, "One at a time my quirk isn't super hearing!" He then grabs a notecard? Yeah that's a notecard. Izuku suppresses a smile, even All Might isn't great at everything it seems.

"AHEM, The heroes in this scenario are trying to capture the villains and stop them from using their nuclear bomb, the heroes win by capturing the villains with capture tape or contacting the nuclear core, the villains win by capturing the heroes with capture tape or keeping the bomb secure until time runs out." All Might brings out a large box labeled 'lots' ," Teammates, opponents and order of battles will be decided by lots so LET US BEGIN".

Once everyone lines up and selects their lots they look around to find their teammates, the teams are as follows.

Team A: Sero and Jiro

Team B: Kaminari and Todoroki

Team C: Midoriya and Ashido

Team D: Aoyama and Yaoyorozu

Team E: Asui and Tokoyami

Team F: Mineta and Iida

Team G: Uraraka and Kirishima

Team H: Sato and shoji

Team I: Bakugou and Ojiro

Team J: Koda and Hagakure

Izuku feels guilty but he can't remember who Ashido is, thankfully she introduces herself to him before he has to ask around, "Hey you're Midoriya right?" Ashido turns out to be the pink skinned girl with black eyes, yellow irises and yellow horns, no way Izuku will forget her name again.

"Yeah that's me, so.. looks like we'll be teammates for our first battle. Do you want to talk strategy before our match" Izuku offers, since it would be good for them to know each other's abilities.

Ashido nods up and down rapidly a few times, "Duh, of course I would, but I think All Might is going to announce the first teams fighting so we should wait."

Sure enough All Might has both his hands in boxes named 'Villain' and 'Hero' he then pulls out the first victims, ahem participants. "FIRST UP IS THESE GUYS", Teams F and A are proudly held above the number one hero's head, A is hero, F is villains , " Please follow me to the correct building, everyone else also follow me but split at the stairs with the 'surveillance' sign above it",He mimes a rectrange with his hands "And wait for me to return".

Izuku and Ashido go along with the rest of the class to the room and inside of the room is a wall of screens, each one a different floor with different angles on them of the building above them, from floor one to the very top.

"Wooooah I was expecting a handful of screens at most but this is crazy!" Ashido scans the wall before again addressing Izuku, "So", she does a quick turn giving Izuku her full attention, "what did you have in mind?"

Izuku gathers his thoughts, "I just wanted to exchange some general strengths and weaknesses so we can try to work together more smoothly."

"That makes sense, well for me I can excrete acid from any part of my body but it goes the farthest if I use my hands, I can also choose how quickly it burns things from a mild sting to practically liquid fire", as demonstration she flicks a finger and a small glob of acid splats against the wall and slowly slides down, then she does the same with another glob that bubbles for a moment on impact before evaporating and leaving a light scorch mark.

"That's awesome I'm sure we can use that in the test, as for me I can summon a suit of full body armor that overall enhances me but also has 3 modes called speed, strength, and armor that enhance one attribute in particular, the visor can highlight friends and enemies and track them along with a map of the area, and recently I discovered hacking." Izuku decides to do the same as Ashido and quickly summons the nanosuit.

NANOSUIT ACTIVATED

Before Izuku can continue his explanation his visor alerts him to something it never had before.

Foreign cloak detected

Nanovision recommended

Foreign cloak? Who here has a cloak? what? Izuku in his curiosity activates NANOVISION as suggested, causing the room to turn black and white and all the people in it to turn into various shades of red, green, and yellow according to their thermal readings.

"Can you hear me Midoriya? What's got your attention?" Mina looks a little offended since Izuku in her perspective is simply ignoring her.

"Sorry Ashido, give me a second I'll explain in a moment", that seemed to satisfy her for the time being.

Izuku looks around but can't find the 'cloaked' person the nanosuit mentioned, but if nanovision can detect cloak then he wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Izuku then toggles Nanovision on and off rapidly until something, or someone, does not match up.

Standing next to a muscular man in yellow full body spandex is the heat signature of a short, thin girl. Izuku then makes the connection and feels stupid for not noticing faster, the nanosuit is registering the invisible girl in their classroom whose name he can't remember as cloaked.

Said girl's body temperature rises a small amount and she begins to look around, clearly nervous, then she spots Izuku who is staring directly at her.

She takes a nervous step towards the nanosuit clad Izuku, "C-Can you see me?"

Izuku mentally slaps himself for staring for so long, "I…yes I can my quirk just now let me use something similar to thermal vision and..well I can't see any details but I can see your body's heat signature."

"I'm not upset but it's just… I've never had the feeling of being watched before, it's so unsettling, it's like an actual pressure on you, it's a strange feeling. Hagakure sounds really shy, Izuku guesses that means she was born invisible.

"HELLO STUDENTS I HAVE RETURNED", All Might dramatically enters the room, "If you look at the screens you will see your classmates at their starting stations ready to begin, everyone gets comfortable because things are about to begin!"

Izuku deactivates the nanosuit and rejoins Ashido near the screens, "Sorry about that just my quirk acting up, I didn't mean to ignore you like that".

She just shrugs her shoulders, "Dont worry about it, you look like a nice guy so I trust you wouldn't ignore me without a solid reason, anyway let's forget about that, the show is about to start."

All Might brings his hands to a small switch on the neck of his hero suit, "INDOOR BATTLE TRIAL START".

The battle starts with the hero team having a quick chat then Mineta walks to the front of the room and places his purple balls on the perimeter of the door, securing it shut, he also tosses a few on the floor near the door for good measure. Once Mineta finishes he goes back to Iida and they both begin walking in circles around the bomb.

The Hero team is on the first story when Jiro stabs one of her jacks into the wall before saying something and pointing up. A handful of minutes pass until they reach the floor of the villain team, it sucks that they can only see video and not hear audio but it isn't hard to deduce their intentions. They point to the door and Jiro does a ramming motion and gestures for Sero to get back, she then puts her jacks into the stereos on her legs and after a handful of moments pass before the door splinters.

Jiro's face turns red as she presumably tries even harder to break down the door and it works, mostly, the door doesn't fly off the hinges due to Minetas quirk, but it does break open and fall into a heap of debris.

Iida and Mineta stand near the bomb waiting to defend the bomb and Sero and Jiro rush into the door. Sero shoots out a strand of his tape to swing around the room and over the traps Mineta set while Jiro runs in with her jacks at the ready.

Mineta focuses on Jiro and throws a volley of his quirk. Jiro tries her hardest to evade them but she gets hit by several, one of them on her foot and the rest on her stomach and shoulders. The one on her foot causes her to trip and stay pinned to the ground. That leaves Sero i 1, Mineta tries to throw his quirk to pin Sero as well but easily dodges all of them.

Sero gets near the bomb but Iida simplys pushes it to the other side of the room, after dodging another purple ball Sero shoots his tape directly at the caster. Mineta tries to dodge but fails and is mummified in tape, Sero continues to try and swing to the bomb but every time he gets close Iida pushes it farther away.

Iida turns to run with the bomb across the room again but this time he tries to run past Jiro, this proves to be a mistake when Jiro shoots out her jack as a tripwire and trips Iida. In the time it takes Iida to stand back up Sero catches up to the bomb and lands atop of it, ending the test.

"HERO TEAM WINS", All Might announces into the building's intercom. "Ok students I must go take care of the aftermath but I will return!", he runs off to go up the stairs.

After waiting a few minutes All Might returns with the hero and villain teams, they all look fine except for Jiro who has the balls still attached to her. They also have pieces of the floor on them, it looks like All Might had to tear them off the floor, in her hands is the shoe that has the ball on it.

"Time for evaluation my students, the MVP of this match wasssss YOUNG JIRO!", All Might gestures to the young woman, "Would anyone like to answer Why she is the MVP?"

Yaoyorozu steps forward, "Jiro had a plan in mind even if it was a simple one, she also located the enemy team and effectively lead her teammate to them before breaking down the door, while yes she did get caught she was not tied with the capture tape so she was able to still trip Iida and help win the test."

"The others didn't do too badly either, Mineta immobilized Jiro, Iida kept the bomb from being captured for a time, and Sero captured Mineta and with the help of Jiro won the test." Yaoyorozu finishes talking and looks to All Might for confirmation.

All Might looks a bit taken aback, "STUPENDOUS YOUNG YAOYOROZU, Young Jiro was calm and organized and even managed to assist the win while immobilized so it is clear she is the MVP! Now the next teams areeeee TEAMS E AND C," hero team is team E and villain team is C as shown by the boxes they were pulled from. Izuku's heart rate picks up, that's his team.

"So Izuku are you ready to be eeevil Villains?" Ashido teases.

Izuku turns and tries to calm his nerves, "Yeah, yeah I am just some nerves".

"I'm sure we will do jussst fine, now let's go, All Might is waiting for us", Ashido nudges Izuku then walks to their teacher.

Izuku and Ashido follow All Might to their waiting station then All Might continues with the hero team into the building.

"So Izuku now that we know our opponents do you have any ideas", she says while stretching next to Izuku.

Izuku search his memory for a while since he didn't remember much of the previous day due to his messed up sleep schedule and panic attack last night, "Well Tokoyami in my opinion is the easier opponent of the two-"

"What! He seems super tough! You really think that?" the stunned pinkett gasps.

Izuku feels himself shrink a bit but continues, "I didn't say he was weak or anything just that he is the easier of the two, he relies too heavily on his quirk and he himself isn't the most powerful or fast, so if you can evade dark shadow and get to Tokoyami then you can handle him much easier than Asui."

Ashido grins, "Yeah that makes so much sense! What about Asui though, she seems pretty solid all around".

"Yeah I know there's nothing to exploit to give us an edge. She is strong, fast, and agile but if i'm honest, I think I can out muscle and out speed her and it looks like most of her muscle is in her legs so in a straight fight she shouldn't be much stronger than an average fit person.", he really doesn't mean it in a bragging sense but rather a genuine statement. He also activates the nanosuit so he will be ready to go the moment the trial begins.

NANOSUIT ACTIVATED

"Man this is going to be a challenge, I almost wish I had Hagakure's quirk so I could just sneak past them.", Ashido daydreams then All Might returns for a moment.

"HELLO STUDENTS, just dropping by to let you know everything is in order and the test should be starting in a minute or so!", with that the teacher leaves the students to their planning once more.

Midoriya only faintly registered what was said because he is on the verge of discovering one of the nanosuits last gifts and final mode. Izuku is thinking, if the nanosuit was able to detect a foreign cloak then what is not a foreign cloak? Does that mean that maybe HE has a cloak?

Cloaking option available

No, there is no way, how much fruit does this giving tree have to offer?! Ok, if everything else has a mental command then this cloak should work the same way.

CLOAK ENGAGED

The nanites of the suit form into a crystal substance and quickly surround every portion of the nanosuits exterior, in a fraction of a second Izuku is completely hidden from sight, radar, and even thermal vision.

"So Izuku, how should we enter the building? I was thinking that we could quietly- Izuku?", Ashido turns in circles to look for her teammate, "Izuku? Did he go inside already?".

Izuku waves his hand in front of her face to test the cloak a few times, when she does nothing in response he knows that this is the real deal. Invisibility. Invisibility and it is just as good as Hagakures. He disables cloak.

"I'm here Ashido I w-"

"AHH", She jumps up in fright, "WHERE DID YOU COME FROM!?"

Izuku decides a simplified version of the truth will do, "I was thinking about what you said about Hagakure and uh turns out I can turn invisible too".

"That's so useful we can totally use that!", the frightened jumping transitions into joyful hopping.

Before any more conversation could be had the intercoms blare to life, "INDOOR BATTLE TRIAL START"

"Ok so we should check each story carefully right? I'm pretty sure the enemy location is randomized." Ashido makes her way to the door.

Izuku quickly stops her, "Ashido wait, I don't want to waste time on details but I can see where they are if you give me a moment."

"Oh uh, ok I guess, man what can't your quirk do". She returns to Izuku's side.

Izuku then switches his visor to tagging and looks around the building, ah there they are, " 5th story, right side of the building, I think Asui is on the wall or something to ambush us when we get there because she looks higher up than Tokoyami and Tokoyami is just standing there a few yards away.", he makes sure to mark them before switching off tagging, he also points in their direction for his teammate.

"That. Is. Incredible, Ok lets go once we get to the 5th story we should tip toe.", The duo then finally enter the building and start their test.

They go through the first 3 stories easily enough and neither of their opponents move from their locations, looks like they really are going for an ambush on entry.

"Ashido, hold on a second. I want to check the layout of these rooms; they all seem identical.", Izuku steps into the room nearest to him. The room is plain with a few pillars spread throughout it and windows are on every wall, hopefully the room their opponents is like this one too since Izuku is forming a plan.

"Did you get a good look Midoriya?"

"Yeah, we can keep going, let's just whisper from now on and watch our step so they cant hear us", both the 'villains' continue to climb the stairs in silence until they reach the same level as their opponents.

Izuku pauses before pointing at a door down the hallway, "That's-" Izuku stops himself the nanosuits makes his voice much too obvious for stealth so he removes his visor for a moment, " That's the door where they are, I can only see their general location so I am going to climb out of the window, go invisible to see what they have done, and come back, wait here please".

The horned girl nods to keep quiet and waits around the corner. Once Izuku gets to the window by the wall he carefully opens the window and shuts his visor.

CLOAK ENGAGED

Once he is fully cloaked the young boy climbs out of the window and hangs off the ledge of the building, the height gives him pause but his faith in his own abilities and the nanosuit keep him calm. He moves to the right along the ledge until he reaches the window of the room his enemies are in, he lifts himself forward to get a good look.

The room is rather empty with a few tables along the corner of the room and nothing else, Izuku was correct in his theory that they had an ambush planned. Asui is on the wall above the door waiting to strike and Tokoyami has dark shadow at the ready to attack whoever enters the door after Asui takes care of the first one. The nuclear bomb is tucked away in the corner of the room farest away from the entrance and windows so that eliminates the option where Izuku crashes into the room from the window and grabs the bomb before they can react.

With his task done Izuku makes his way back over to Ashido, good thing too because cloak drains energy way faster than any of the other modes, just from this scout mission he has less than half of his energy left.

Once he returns to his teammates he removes cloak and fills her in on the situation after once again removing his visor, "Ok I was right in my idea that they were going to ambush us, and I don't see a way we can go through the door without one of us immediately getting eliminated."

"What If i melt the door before we break through?".

"No Asui is perched above the door once we get through she'll pounce but I think I have an idea but it depends on how agile you are". Izuku is confident he can do his part and while he is kind of confident Ashido can do her part he needs some confirmation.

Ashido smirks confidently, " I am more than flexible and agile enough for whatever you have planned but I think we only have like 5 minutes left, if even that so we should hurry".

"Ok I think we can enter through the same window I just scouted, If i go invisible again and you hang off my waist we will both be hidden from view then I can toss you through a window, you just have to prepare yourself to throw acid and adjust yourself before impact so you cleanly break through, can you do that?" Izuku relays his plan to the now grinning girl beside him.

"Yeah I can do that", with the plan now made both of them return to the open window Izuku just left.

Izuku climbs back to hang on the ledge and once he is comfortable Ashido follows him but instead of grabbing the ledge she wraps her arms around Izuku's waist.

"Okay im maybe a little nervous now so lets get this done quick please", Ashido mutters and tightens her grip.

CLOAK ENGAGED

Instead of replying Izuku moves himself along the ledge until he reaches the window from before, the markers on his HUD show that there hasn't been much movement, just a few feet of difference due to boredom. Izuku grabs Ashidos arm and waits until he hears a quiet, "Im ready". Izuku is pretty sure he could throw her in cloak mode but juusst to be safe he switches modes.

MAXIMUM STRENGTH

In a fluid motion Izuku throws his teammate directly over him into the window and hears a CRASH. That's good. Energy depleted thooom That's not good. The nanosuit deactivates and removes itself from his skin but Izuku can't leave his teammate alone so even without the nanosuit he climbs over the now broken window into the room. His goal is to get to the bomb while they are both distracted by the chaos.

From experience Izuku knows that the nanosuit won't take much longer than 30 seconds to refill its energy but until then he is as quirkless as the day he was born.

Inside the room Izuku sees Tokoyami attacking Ashido who is throwing acid at both dark shadow and its caster, Asui was about to join but changes targets when she sees Izuku making his way to the bomb.

30 seconds.

"Hey Midoriya ribbit", Asui leaps towards him with her powerful legs with intent to tackle, Izuku tries to summon the nanosuit but he still needs time so he instead dodges as quickly as he can, only narrowly avoiding Asui. Again she leaps towards him but now that Izuku has a bit more time to react he grabs her outstretched arm and flips her over his shoulder into the wall behind him.

Izuku winces that looks painful, "Sorry Asui but we want to win too!"

A quick glance shows that Ashido took his advice and is not trying to attack dark shadow but instead Tokoyami, she is currently throwing acid and when she gets close a punch or kick, she flips, ducks, and slides every time dark shadow gets close. Overall she's doing pretty well, Izuku wishes he could say the same.

10 seconds left

Asui has recovered by now and is once again preparing to leap towards Izuku before he gets too close to the bomb, Izuku prepares to dodge again but instead of leaping Asui shoots out her tongue at him!

Her tongue is much faster than she was so while Izuku was able to just barely dodge her when she leaped he isn't fast enough to evade her tongue. The tongue wraps itself around him and lifts him in the air, preventing him from further intruding in the trial.

"I got Midoriya! I'll go help you once I get him tied up! Ribbit", Asui brings her tounge back into her mouth so she can tie Midoriya, Ashido tries to throw acid his way to help him but she can't focus with Tokoyami and dark shadow attacking her so they miss by yards.

Izuku fights against the grip of the wet living rope but there is no use , then in the corner of his vision he sees the glorious sight Energy replenished. Now he can fight back.

NANOSUIT ENABLED

Izuku feels the nanosuit coat his body once more and all the power it wields comes with it. Izuku forces out his right arm and grabs the part of tongue that is going to Asui's mouth and PULLS he pulls so hard Asui flies in his direction. She was unprepared for a forced call to action so she drops her capture tape as she is pulled, once she gets into striking distance Izuku punches her straight in the gut. The pain from the blow causes the tongue's grip to lessen and Izuku slips out, he quickly grabs the capture tape Asui dropped and ties a quick loop around her. One down.

"Hello Midoriya your teammate fought well but my darkness overtook her", Tokoyami gestures with his thumb to a tied up Ashido who looks more annoyed than anything.

"IT WAS A LUCKY SHOT I TELL YOU", she stomps her feet in frustration.

"Be that as it may I have still proven victorious, now Izuku would you be so kind as to not fight back, there is less than 1 minute left and I'd love to talk to you about that inner darkness I sense in you." Tokoyami's eyes narrow at that sentence, "Yeah you look kind of messed up man", dark shadow helpfully adds.

Izuku chooses not to answer but instead looks around the room Ashido can still fight but the capture tape has her out of the test, the bomb is on the other side of the room and Tokoyami is blocking the path to it. He considers using cloak but that mode drains energy way too fast and he is afraid energy will run out before he gets there and get himself captured.

That leaves fighting him or getting past him but a fight could take too long so while it feels cowardly Izuku reminds himself this is a training session, not a tournament.

MAXIMUM SPEED

"Oh? You are glowing yellow? I do not recall which of these does what from the quirk test the other day, which one is this?" Tokoyami cautiously asks while preparing to react.

"Speed", Izuku bolts to the far left side of the room dodging the attacks that dark shadow throws at him, dark shadow aims a wide right hook at Izuku but he slides across the floor before he continues running. Bomb in sight Izuku runs at it as dark shadow desperately tries to stop him but he is too far now, he touches the bomb.

"THE TEST IS OVER!"

Izuku is about to deactivate the nanosuit when something surprising appears.

NANOSUIT UPGRADES AVAILABLE

That is something Izuku will have to look at once he has time but that time is not right now, so he deactivates the nanosuit and goes to rejoin his teammate.

Ashido looks very excited while removing the capture tape, "WE WON YOU WERE SO AWESOME!"

"You did well too but um thank you", Izuku says, still not used to praise.

"I did okay at best but you I was so worried when I saw you getting pushed back when you were fighting Asui without your quirk but then you brought it back and won the day!" Ashido was smiling ear to ear and Izuku fought a blush making its way to his face.

All Might somehow already made it to the room with them, "HAHAHA I MUST CONCUR YOU DID WONDERFULLY YOUNG MIDORIYA AS DID YOU YOUNG ASHIDO AND YOU TWO AS WELL ASUI AND TOKOYAMI. Now let us go back to the surveillance room and get your evaluations done." he then gathers all the students and takes them back with him.

Once they all were back in the room Izuku is flooded with questions.

"You did amazing out there so MANLY", that was Kirishima of course

"Since when could you go invisible", Kaminari is clearly surprised but they haven't known each other very long so he could just tell him the truth later

"Is that why you could see me? Because you can become invisible too?" Hagakure is probably wondering all sorts of things about Izuku right now.

"QUESTIONS FOR LATER, The MVP for this match waaaasssss YOUNG MIDORIYA!" All might points at the student in question, "Can anyone else tell me why?", no one volunteers, "If no one says anything I am going to have to start calling naaamees", he practically sings.

"Is it because he basically carried his team to victory, no offense Ashido", Kaminari suggests.

"None taken, he literally carried me at one point.", Ashido casually admits.

Asui surprisingly speaks up, "He somehow knew where we were and snuck past us from the side of the window to launch a surprise attack, he flipped the entire encounter and forced us to be reactive to their attack. Then not to mention he hits like a truck."

All Might finishes the topic, "CORRECT, then he knew to not waste time on a battle and instead capture the bomb with his superior speed," He looks at the 'hero' team, "Asui and Tokoyami you had a good plan but it was entirely dependent on you having the drop on your opponent when that was taken from you it left you purely reactive'. The man gives the last person in the exercise his attention, "Ashido you provided good backup but lost your match due to carelessness".

All might strikes a powerful pose holding 2 balls, " NEXT TEAMS ARE J AND G", J as hero and G as villains as shown by the colored balls, "BOTH TEAMS TOPSIDE I WILL FOLLOW", As All Might walks to the door he stops and leans into Midoriya's ear, "After class please report to the teachers lounge Aizawa wants a word".

Izuku's blood goes cold, why is he being questioned? He didn't do anything wrong did he? What could it have been.. Oh… Its cloak mode, that wasn't on his registered quirk information, Aizawa must be wanting answers!

The remainder of the matches pass in a haze to the nervous Izuku. Uraraka and Kirishima win the match since Uraraka made the bomb float once the villain team got close to the bomb and no one was able to reach it. Kirirshima then captured Koda and Hagakure by overpowering Koda and capturing Hagakure by throwing pieces he broke off the building at her until one made contact. The MVP of the match was Uraraka because mostly everything that happened in the test was her plan.

The match after that was Aoyama and Yaoyorozu as villains vs Bakugo and Ojiro as heroes, the match was closer than the previous one, but Kacchan proved to be relentless. Kacchan broke down all the traps and barricades Yaoyorozu built and whatever shields or swords Yaomomo built were destroyed by blasts, Aoyama's lazer was dodged by Kacchan who knocked him out almost immediately, Ojiro wasn't fast enough to do anything of substance since Kacchan rushed the enemy team the second the match started. The MVP was not Kacchan but Yaoyorozu as she had a solid plan and was well prepared while Kacchan only blindly attacked.

The final match ends the instant the hero team of Sato and Shoji enter the bomb room since Todoroki freezes them in place and captures them ending the round. Kaminari doesn't really do anything since once his opponents were frozen there wasn't anything to do, Todoroki wins the MVP spot as one would assume.

"Hey don't worry man i'm sure you would have done great if you had to fight", Izuku pats a disheartened Kaminari on the back.

"I-I know b-b-b-but I wanted to d-d-do s-something" the cold clearly got to him even though he didn't get frozen himself so he is shivering quite a bit right now. "S-s-so you wanna h-hang out after c-class?"

Izuku really wants to say yes, he wants to socialize more but he has something to do first, "Not today I got some stuff I have to handle".

"N-Next t-t-time then", the half frozen boy shivers his way over to the lockers to change and leave.

Izuku changes into his uniform in no time flat since his hero's 'costume' is very basic and he goes over to the teachers lounge.

On the way to the teachers lounge Izuku recites his response to what he thinks Aizawa would ask in his head. He didn't know about his invisible mode until today he didn't lie about anything, the nanites in his suit just adapted to his desire to become invisible like Hagakure.

He opens the door, the teacher's lounge is nice and rather simple. It has a lavender couch in front of a TV in the back and in the front near the door there is a fridge next to a table and shelf, very cozy.

On the couch there is a sight Izuku feels like he will get used to seeing. Aizawa sleeping in his sleeping bag, wait a minute, if Aizawa is asleep then he can't ask him any questions. A devious plan is made in the boy's mind. Izuku carefully takes a notebook out of his backpack and tears a page out, he quickly writes out a short message, 'Im sorry Aizawa - sensei but you were asleep when I got here and I waited a few minutes but you didn't wake up, tomorrow we can talk about whatever it was you had in mind, sincerely your student Izuku Midoriya'.

Izuku leaves the teachers lounge in a nervous rush, yeah he shouldn't have done that, and yes it just pushed it to tomorrow but that was a problem for tomorrow Izuku. He just wants to get home and relax, today was eventful and he has some questions he needs answered, mainly what are the nanosuit upgrades.

This chapter ended up being my longest but honestly I wish I could make all my chapters this long, I feel good about the premise and plot of this chapter but I feel like I could've done more, maybe I will rewrite it in the future, anyway my birthday was in the time between updates so that was fun, anyway I hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you next time!
