Another few weeks went by and in her and Sonic's quarters of the castle, Sally stood naked in front of her full-length mirror, her stomach was starting to expand and before long, she couldn't fasten up some of her old clothes and was resorting to wearing looser clothing like sundresses or stretchy shorts or skirts with a waistband.

She didn't mind the extra inches she was gaining one bit, knowing that a miracle was growing within her.

She ran her hands over her furry stomach and looked in the mirror. She was now over three months pregnant, and she had started to notice that her slowly growing bump was slightly bigger than she thought she would be at this time.

She was curious to know why she was showing this early, and she hoped she would know the answers as she was going for her first ultrasound with Dr Quack.

As she continued to look in the mirror, a whistle was heard behind her and she looked up in the reflection of the glass to seeing Sonic coming out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel having just had a shower, and smirking at her.

Sally licked her lips as she gazed at her husband and pulled her auburn hair over her shoulder then gazed behind her at him seductively.

"You like what you see?" she purred.

"Heh! I do!" Sonic replied as he walked over and wrapped his arms around her from behind, before kissing her.

In response, Sally cradled Sonic's cheek with her hand and her lips met his in a passionate kiss.

Sonic opened his mouth deepening the kiss and soon their tongues began to dance together, at the same time, the hedgehog lowered one of his hands down to his wife's swollen belly feeling for his child and stroking it with his thumb.

Sally stroked his hand then her hand on his cheek moved up to caress his quills.

Sonic slid his lips from Sally's and nuzzled her nose.

"Mmm, getting a bit physical, are we?" he asked in a mischievous tone.

Sally giggled and nuzzled him back, at the same time she arched her back and grided her backside against Sonic's crotch to which the Sonic grinded back and purred aroused.

"Mmm, you're so lucky that you're carrying little one!" he smirked at his wife "Otherwise you'd be in a lot of trouble right now Missy!"

Sally giggled.

"I love it when you talk dirty!" she licked his nose and stroked her bump again.

Sonic chuckled again and rubbed his wife's stomach.

"Speaking of which," He said, "Today's your first ultrasound. You excited?"

"Oh, I am!" Sally grinned "But nervous too."

"I can't lie," Sonic began. "I am too, but it's the good kind of nervous."

Sally agreed as she stroked her stomach. "As well as happy thoughts, I've had fears too, but I suppose it is natural."

"Same here," Sonic replied. "Mom and Dad said its natural for first time parents to go through this kind of thing."

"Mother and Daddy said the same thing," said Sally. "As did Megan when she had Alexis, and Julie-Su when she was carrying Lara-Su."

"First time parent jitters they called it," Sonic informed.

Sally nodded and was about to speak when her handheld computer Nicole spoke up from her dressing table.

"Thirty minutes until meeting with Dr Quack Sally."

"Thank you, Nicole," Sally replied.

"Yeah! Thanks for the heads up, Nicole!" Sonic added.

"No problem, Sonic," Nicole replied in her monotone voice as Sally reached for a white and cream-colored dress that was draped over her dressing table chair which she pulled over her shoulders and buttoned up.

Sonic watched her and admired the way the dress hugged her curves and her bump.

"Look at you," he said, smiling. "Looking all cute!"

Sally blushed as she placed her long hair back behind her shoulders.

"I think I'll do causal today too," Sonic decided as he went to their shared wardrobe and picked out some blue jeans and a loose white t-shirt.

"I always love it when you go causal," Sally said. "And anyway, it's an ultrasound appointment, not royal duties or meetings..." to which she added quietly, "Thank goodness!"

Even though she was a princess and used to such things, they could be boring and tedious after a while and enjoyed spending time away from it.

"Yeah!" Sonic agreed. "And it should be a real quick appointment too. Afterwards, we could go grab some grub?"

"Good idea hun. Where shall we go?" Sally asked.

"Can never go wrong with the chili dog stand!" Sonic cheered. "But if you'd rather go somewhere else?"

"Oh no hun!" Sally said quickly. "Chili dogs are fine! I'm kind of glad I don't feel sick at the sight or smell of them with my pregnancy!"

'Thank God!" Sonic laughed.

Sally chuckled again and picked up Nicole.

"Come on, we better get to Dr Quack's medical center before he goes quackers!" she laughed harder at the pun as did Sonic as he pulled his shirt over his head and shook out his quills.

Sally meanwhile checked her hair then took Sonic's arm.

"Okay I'm ready," she announced. "I hope it goes well."

"I'm sure it will!" Sonic reassured his wife. "Let's go."

"Let's do it to it!" Sally smiled and Sonic, grinning, held out his other hand and they did their Knothole secret handshake from when they were Freedom Fighters.

"Even though years have passed." Sally said, "I feel it's part of us till the end of time."

"For sure Sal!" Sonic agreed.

About an hour later, the Ground Squirrel and Hedgehog arrived at Dr Quack's Medical quarters to which the Duck took them to a special room next to his office.

He could see Sally's bump was getting bigger and after asking Sally a few questions on whether she was okay and how she was feeling to which Sally replied she had been feeling fine, if not more tired than usual and that her clothes were starting to get tighter around her stomach, he felt confident to start the ultrasound session.

Sonic and Sally saw in the room was a medical bed which Dr Quack asked Sally to lie down on, and she unbuttoned her dress so her stomach was exposed and Sonic sat in the chair next to his wife and held her hand, smiling lovingly at her.

Dr Quack checked the equipment then after putting on some rubber gloves, produced some gel which he put on Sally's stomach, she giggled slightly as it was cold.

Sonic licked his lips and jiggled his feet nervously as he waited for Dr Quack to start the procedure. As everyone knew, he hated waiting and Sally could see his was biting his lip from trying not to say his catchphrase, "I'm waiting!" which he often did when anyone stalled.

But in the recent month, and years since those days in Knothole, Sonic hardly ever used that catchphrase, unless he was bantering or teasing and Sally often loved to tease him about it which he found amusing, very much like how he used to tease her about her being so uptight before she learnt to relax a little.

"Okay, I think we're ready to start!" Dr Quack announced, bringing Sonic's attention to him.

He then produced a scanner wand which he placed on Sally's stomach.

"Relax," he said then began to study the screen. "Okay…. here we go…" he narrowed his eyes as he watched the screen and Sally and Sonic sat quietly and waited.

The duck studied the screen for a couple of minutes, then his eyes widened.

"Oh my! Oh, my Goodness me! This is a surprise!" he exclaimed.

"What?" Sonic and Sally said together, both feeling a little anxious but that soon subsided as they saw a smile forming on the Doctor's beak.

"Well, your highnesses!" Dr Quack said, "It looks like you're gonna have your hands full!"

"What do you mean by that Doc?" Sonic asked. "What's up? Is everything okay?"

Dr Quack looked at the anxious looking hedgehog and ground squirrel and grinned. "Everything is fine Sonic," he answered, "It would seem that the reason Sally's bump is slightly bigger than usual at this stage in her pregnancy is because…" He turned the screen so the parents-to-be could see the image. "…she's carrying twins!"

Sonic and Sally's eyes widened as they saw what was on the screen, a grainy black and white image that showed not one, but two babies.

"Oh my gosh!" Sally cried bringing one hand to her mouth in shock as well as joy, meanwhile Sonic just stared at the screen gob smacked and tears welling in his eyes.

"T…T…Twins!" he gasped, finally finding his voice after such a big surprise.

"Oh God…" Sally started to sob with happiness as she looked at the tiny figures on the screen. "Two babies!"

"Indeed yes!" Dr Quack smiled, tears of his own forming in his eyes seeing the pure joy of the parents-to-be. "You were blessed twice!"

Sonic swallowed hard and turned to Sally, leaning down and nuzzling her as tears of happiness flowed from his eyes. "Sal…we're…. we're gonna have twins!"

"Yes, we are!" Sally stroked Sonic's cheek and kissed him. "Twins!"

"That you are!" Dr Quack said happily then pointed to the screen. "There's your little babies! And from what I can see, one looks like a hedgehog, the other, a ground squirrel!"

"Oh man…Sal, look!" Sonic grinned as he looked at his future children on the screen.

"Our little angels..." Sally breathed. "They're perfect!"

"They sure are!" Sonic kissed his wife's cheek "We do good work Sal!"

"We sure do!" Sally agreed.

"I can't tell the gender as yet," Dr Quack said. "But I should be able to in a month! If you wish to know that is?"

Sonic looked at Sally. "What do you think Sal?" he asked as more happy tears fell from his emerald eyes, which Sally wiped away gently. "Surprise or shall we find out?"

"A gender reveal would be wonderful," Sally replied then grinned. "Oh Gosh, what are Mother and Daddy going to think?"

"Or my mom and dad too, for that matter," Sonic agreed.

"I think they're gonna flip!" Sally chuckled. "They're already anxious to know how the ultrasound went."

"Tell me about it!" Sonic replied.

Sally nuzzled Sonic again "This will be an amazing surprise for everyone! Our little twins!" she placed a hand on her stomach and stroked it.

As the couple nuzzled and celebrated the fact, they were having twins, Dr Quack couldn't help but smile as he wiped a couple of tears from his eyes. He had had a few emotional moments in his years of being a doctor, and there had been difficult and heart-breaking times, but when it was moments like this, seeing how overjoyed Sonic and Sally were about their unborn children, it was worth it.

"From what I can see," The duck announced bringing Sonic and Sally's attention back to him. "Your twins are very healthy, no problems detected, and if one looks closely enough, they seem to like to move their little feet!" he added with a laugh as he eyed Sonic.

"Heh! Already got some spunk huh?" Sonic asked.

"They're showing to be little runners!" Sally agreed. "More than likely got your speed hun!" She then wondered what it would be like when they started moving inside her 'Imagine the kicks I'm going to get.' She thought.

"Right on!" Sonic cheered "Just wait till everyone hears about this!"

"They're gonna be ecstatic!" Sally said,

"I'm so happy for you both!" Dr Quack said. "I'll print off a couple of pictures for you as keepsakes, and in a month, I should be able to tell the genders!"

"Thank you, Doctor," Sally said gratefully.

"Yeah! Thanks Doc!" Sonic agreed.

"We should do a Gender Reveal with our family and close friends, imagine their faces!" Sally smiled as she snuggled against Sonic, and they looked at the screen of their little babies.

"Sounds like a great idea!" Sonic said. "I can't wait!" he kissed Sally again as he looked at the screen, both soaking up the fact they were going to be parents to twins, under the happy gaze of Dr Quack.

A couple of hours later, after leaving the surgery, Sonic and Sally had stopped at Sonic's favorite chili dog stand, enjoyed a chili dog each, then decided to head home and see if they could find their parents to tell them the news. After the session had finished, Dr Quack had given the new parents to be strict instructions on how to stay safe and healthy during the pregnancy as well as dos and don'ts.

Both Sonic and Sally were a little disappointed that he couldn't take her on runs whilst she was carrying, only because it could be dangerous, but they knew it was important for the babies to be safe. Sally had also been told she couldn't do anything too physical, had to rest more, and to limit caffeine and avoid alcohol, which Sally was alright with as she never drank unless it was on special occasions. But she was pleased she could still enjoy a chili dog with Sonic, although she avoided too much spice.

As they walked through the hallways towards their quarters in the palace, Sally looked at a folder Dr Quack had put together for her which included nutritional advice, what to avoid in pregnancy as well as some charts so they could record the babies' movements when they started kicking.

"I'm rather disappointed I can't run with you for a while," Sally sighed. "But I've got to take these precautions to heart."

"I know Sal," Sonic agreed. "But once the kids are born, we can do it again! But in the meantime, we'll take all the precautions we need to!"

"I know we will!" Sally smiled then looked at her bump. "Twins! I still can't believe it!"

"Same here! Crazy huh?" Sonic replied.

"I couldn't be more excited!" Sally gushed.

"You and me both Sal!" Sonic agreed.

As the couple continued to walk, Sally looked around wondering where her parents as well as Sonic's could be, and the castle so huge, it would take a while to find them, so she wondered if any of the servants or guards had seen them.

"You okay for walking to see if we can track our folks down?" Sonic asked.

"I'm up for it Hun," Sally replied. "I'm not too far in my pregnancy to feel anything too disabling!"

"Just making sure is all, babe," Sonic said. "You're carrying two precious treasures!"

Sally nuzzled her husband gratefully and they were about to walk towards the throne room when they saw two servants walking towards them. Both were females, one was a brown shrew with red hair, and the other was a white mouse with blonde hair. As soon as they saw Sonic and Sally, they quickly bobbed a curtsy.

"Your highnesses!" the mouse spoke softly.

"Hey ladies!" Sonic smiled, making both blush a little.

"Kathryn," Sally acknowledged the shrew. before turning to the mouse. "Bianca."

"Good day to you both," Sonic said, "So how's things going?"

"Very well, thank you!" Kathryn smiled.

"I'm glad," Sally smiled. "My dear girls, you wouldn't happen to know the whereabouts of the King, Queen, Lord and Lady Hedgehog, would you?"

"We have something to tell them, rather important." Sonic added.

"Oh yes, of course Prince Sonic!" Bianca said.

"They left the palace about an hour ago in the Royal Coach to the Mobotropolis Theater, but they should return in about two hours," Kathryn reported.

"I see!" Sally said. "Thank you girls!" she smiled.

"Looks like we'll have to wait for them to come back," Sonic sighed, feeling slightly disappointed as he was very excited to tell his family the good news.

"It's okay Sonic," Sally assured her husband then turned to the shrew and mouse. "Thank you for informing us, when they return, will you request they come to mine and Sonic's quarters, as my husband has stated, we have something important to tell them."

Both servants curtsied.

"Yes princess," Bianca spoke.

"We shall your highnesses," Kathryn said.

"Thank you, girls!" Sally said gratefully. "Please continue."

The shrew and mouse curtsied again then walked off leaving Sonic and Sally to return to their quarters.

"Oh well," Sonic sighed. "Looks like we're gonna be waiting for a bit."

"I'm alright with that…" Sally breathed, then she brought her hand to her forehead and rubbed it, as well as gripped Sonic's arm slightly as she felt light-headed.

Sonic winced a little as Sally gripped him, but he looked at his wife in worry. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"Just a little tired," Sally answered. "Dr Quack did say this would happen, even this early…."

"Come on Sal," Sonic encouraged, "Lets head back to our quarters so you can get off your feet and rest some."

"Yes lets," Sally agreed. "I suppose because I'm carrying two, the symptoms are appearing sooner."

She then gasped a little in surprise as Sonic scooped her into his arms and she wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

"You're too good to me Sonic," She smiled as she kissed his cheek. "To me and the kids. Thank you."

"Hey!" Sonic grinned as he held Sally close to him. "Anything for you and the little munchkins Sal!" he started to run, yet not too fast but enough for them to get to their quarters in less than five minutes.

As they arrived, the guards standing outside their quarters greeted them.

"Welcome back Prince Sonic," The first one, a purple lizard said then cocked his head on one side as he looked at Sally in Sonic's arms.

"I say," he said. "Is the Princess alright?"

"Hey guys!" Sonic acknowledged the guards. "Yeah, she is, just needs to rest up is all!"

"If you say so your highness," the second guard, a Doberman dog said as he opened the door for them.

"Thank you, gentlemen," Sally said softly as Sonic walked through the door.

The guards bowed their heads in respect.

"We give you our word, your highnesses." The lizard said.

"We're here to help is needed!" the Doberman added.

"Thanks guys!" Sonic called over his shoulder. "We appreciate it!"

He walked over into the living room area and over to the large couch in the center of the room where he gently laid his wife down.

"Thank you, Sonic,…" Sally breathed as she relaxed into the couch.

Sonic sat next to her and stroked her hair comfortingly. As he did, he noticed she looked sad as she lay there.

"Are you alright?" he asked concerned.

Sally looked up at Sonic then looked down.

"I'm alright love," She replied "I just…. just…." she hesitated.

"Just what?" Sonic asked.

"I feel useless," Sally said, "I know I'm carrying, but I feel useless."

"Useless?" Sonic exclaimed. "Sal! You're anything but useless!"

Sally squeezed her eyes as tears erupted from them.

"I feel it Sonic." She confessed "I should be doing something, despite my condition, I suppose after serving as leader of the Freedom Fighters never fully left me. Aand as a Princess, and soon to be Queen, that fire isn't doused."

Sonic sighed and he knelt by Sally's head kissing her forehead.

"Oh Sal," He soothed "It's alright, I'm right here."

Sally gave a choked sob.

"I'm sorry, I promised I would not cry, like I did when I was leading the Freedom Fighters," She swallowed hard as she felt the emotions within explode like a nuclear bomb. "Dr Quack said I would feel such feelings….my hormones…. but…. I'm stronger than that!"

Sonic placed his hands on Sally's shoulders as well as on her hands. "Sal, got to try and calm down and breathe."

Sally listened to her husband and took a few deep breaths, yet she couldn't stop the tears that fell.

Sonic leaned close to Sally and hugged her close to him. "It's going to be okay," he soothed "I promise."

"I trust you," Sally whispered. "I love you so much."

"I love you too Sal." Sonic smiled as he kissed his wife "More than you'll ever know, it's going to be okay, I'm here for you."

"I trust you blue," Sally said as she started to feel sleepy. "I couldn't be more grateful, just knowing you're here, I feel safe."

Sonic smiled and kissed his wife's forehead and stroked her hair. "Just relax Sal," he whispered. "Rest as much as you need too, I'm right here…I promise you…I'm going nowhere, I give you, my word."

A couple of hours had past, and Sally slept on the couch whilst Sonic waited for their parents to arrive from the theater.

As Sally lay there, she started to hear a thumping sound in her ears, like a heartbeat and she began to smell something foul in the air.

Opening her eyes, Sally found herself in her and Sonic's quarters, yet it was dark, and the air felt cold.

"Sonic?" she called as she looked around, but she couldn't see or sense her husband anywhere, but she kept hearing this heartbeat in her ears.

"Hello?" she called out, but still there was nothing.

The heartbeat in her ears soon started to slow down, and Sally placed her hand on her belly protectively as well as continued to look around.

Just then, the heartbeat stopped, and all was quiet for a second.

Then a flash appeared before her eyes, and she fell backwards but not before she saw what looked like a ball of fire then it formed into a menacing face as it came towards her…

Sally opened her eyes with a start, and she jumped as she awoke. She lifted her head, and she was relieved to find herself on the couch, she relaxed back on the pillow and rubbed her head as she tried to remember what she had dreamt of, and what that fiery face was.

"Sal?"

Sally turned her head to see Sonic walking over, he was carrying a glass of orange juice as well as a bowl of strawberries which he placed on the table in front of the couch.

"Sonic?" Sally asked. "How…how long have I been asleep?"

"About a couple of hours," Sonic said, "I brought you some juice and strawberries for when you woke up."

"Thanks, hun," Sally smiled softly, she reached for a strawberry, but a knock at the door made them both jump.

"Who is it?" Sonic called to which the purple komodo dragon guard stepped in and bowed.

"Your Highness," He said. "The King, Queen, Lord and Lady Hedgehog are here."

"Oh, thanks for the heads up!" Sonic replied to which the guard bowed again then went to the door.

Sally quickly sat up and straightened her dress and tried to smooth her hair and she nodded at Sonic to called back to the guard.

"Let them in!" to which the guard bowed again and opened the door fully.

No sooner did he do so than Max, Alicia, Jules and Bernadette walked in, all were wearing their best clothes having been at the theater yet as soon as they heard their children wanted to see them, they hurried to their quarters.

Alicia instantly walked up first. "My dear Sonic!" she said. "We heard from Kathryn and Bianca you wished to see us?"

"Is everything okay honey?" Bernadette added. "How did the ultrasound go?"

"Whoa whoa!" Sonic said, holding up his hands seeing how eager both his mother and Alicia were. "Easy, one question at a time."

"I'm so sorry my son," Bernadette apologized and took a breath then she saw Sally stand up from the sofa.

"Mother…daddy?"

Max and Alicia instantly walked over to their daughter.

"Yes sweetheart?" Max asked, "What is it? We were informed you had something to tell us?"

"We came as soon as we were told!" Alicia spoke.

"I hope all is well." Jules added.

"Pray tell!" cried Bernadette.

Sally gestured to everyone to have a seat, to which they either sat on the coach or on the armchairs or chaise.

"So, what is it you wish to tell us?" Alicia asked to which Sally took a few breaths and placed her hands on her stomach.

"Whatever this news is, she's very nervous," Max mused.

Sonic walked over and sat next to his wife before placing his hands on her shoulders.

"Hey Sal." He soothed. "It's okay, I'm here. We'll tell them together."

"Tell us what?" Bernadette asked.

Sally looked up smiling and placed a hand on Sonic's. "Mother, Daddy, Jules, Bernadette." She announced. "I can tell you with great relief, that the ultrasound went well!"

"It did?" Bernadette smiled. "Oh how wonderful!"

"That does soothe me well!" Jules agreed.

Sonic then gave his signature smirk. "Actually..." he said "It went better than well!"

"Oh how so?" Max asked raising an eyebrow.

"Sonic speaks the truth!" Sally confirmed as she stroked her stomach with a smile "It turns out, I'm carrying twins!"

No sooner did those words leave Sally's lips than the future-grandparents before them gaped and gasped.

"TWINS!?" Bernadette cried

"Oh my gosh!" Jules gasped "Two babies?!"

"T…t..twins…" Max stammered.

"Oh my gosh!" Alicia squeaked.

Sally nodded then held up the sonogram photo Dr Quack gave her and Sonic. "Here's the evidence!" she smiled.

At once, Max, Alicia, Bernadette and Jules looked at it, they were in awe at the two little figures that were growing within Sally.

"Oh, bless this day!" Bernadette sobbed with joy.

"I'm a grandfather…." Jules breathed.

"Twice!" Bernadette added and hugged her husband.

Alicia meanwhile got up and went over to hug her daughter without saying a word, she was so happy she had no words.

"My goodness!" Max gasped as he looked at the photo. "What amazing news this is indeed!"

"Indeed, it is!" Jules agreed as he went over to Sonic and placed his hands on his son's shoulders. "Oh my son, I'm so proud!"

"As am I!" Bernadette agreed as she joined in with hugging Sally and the ground squirrel hugged both her mother and mother-in-law back.

Sonic grinned then he cried out as Jules suddenly ruffled his head. "You Rascal!" Jules laughed. "You son of a gun! You wonder you!"

Sonic chuckled as he was pounced on by his father.

"Hey!" he laughed. "You forgot hot-shot!"

"Oh yes!" Jules agreed as he hugged his son close. "You are one big hot-shot!"

"Thanks dad!" Sonic replied as he hugged his father back. "That means a lot!"

"Anytime Son!" Jules said.

Bernadette laughed at her husband and son then looked at Sally clapping her hands excitedly. "Oh, my darling Sally!" she exclaimed "You are truly blessed! After all you've been through, after all we've been through, this is truly a blessing!"

"Yes, I couldn't agree more!" Max said. "My little Bean, I'm so proud of you and happy for you!"

"Thank you, Daddy!" Sally smiled then she sat back on the sofa bringing her hand to her forehead.

"Sally are you okay?" Bernadette asked concerned as she knelt in front of Sally, Alicia did the same.

"Little Bean?" she asked.

Sonic instantly looked over and he went behind the sofa and placed his hands on his wife's shoulders.

"Sal?" he asked concerned, and Jules followed behind.

"I'm okay Sonic," Sally assured him. "Just a little tired."

"You do look rather flushed darling!" Bernadette stated.

"Dr Quack told us sudden tired and dizzy spells were a possibility," Sonic clarified as he continued to stroke sally's hair and shoulders in an act to comfort her.

"Oh, my baby girl!" Alicia soothed as she stroked Sally's hands. "I remember feeling those too!"

"I also!" Bernadette agreed.

"Perhaps we should allow Sally to rest?" Max suggested feeling concerned for his daughter yet confident she was in good hands with Sonic as he observed the hedgehog massaging Sally's shoulders gently.

Jules nodded in agreement.

Alicia and Bernadette meanwhile hugged Sally again.

"My darling girl," Alicia whispered. "I'm so proud!"

"I too!" said Bernadette "And you know you can talk to us if you need to? Or Megan?"

Sally nodded. "I know," she smiled through her tears. "Thank you."

Alicia and Bernadette hugged Sally again and Max knelt down and hugged his daughter whilst Jules and Sonic watched from behind the sofa.

"Poor girl," Jules sighed then looked at Sonic. "I'm sure I am correct when I believe you are taking good care of her, which I know you are?"

"Of course, dad!" Sonic nodded his head. "Doing all I can for he and the littles!"

Jules patted Sonic's shoulder. "I remember when your mother was carrying you, she was just like Sally is now. Well, maybe a little later on in her pregnancy since she was only carrying you, but I made sure she was comfortable and supported all the way, and I had your Uncle Chuck to help!"

"And not too later I came along!" Sonic chuckled.

"Indeed yes." Jules said then looked down at Sally as she relaxed back on the sofa "It's a real blessing, being a father, I remember the first time I held you, it was the most amazing feeling, I was by your mother's side when she brought you into this word, I held her hand and stroked her head, telling her to be brave, and I was there for her, then you emerged." Jules lifted a finger to wipe away a tear.

"It was the most wonderful moment of my life, looking upon you, realizing I was now a father, I felt truly blessed, like I had entered heaven."

"Aww dad!" Sonic gushed.

"It's true Sonic," Jules said fervently "Treasure every moment kiddo! You never know what will happen, I treasure every minute with your mother. Had I known that we would become slaves to Julian Robotnik, I would never have wasted a second! Trust me Sonic! Life is a gift; you should never take it for granted!"

"I won't dad!" Sonic replied. "I promise you that."

"And I trust you on that son!" Jules replied.

"And I too sweetheart!" Bernadette spoke up as she walked over from comforting Sally to go to her son. "I couldn't be prouder of you my darling son, a freedom fighter, a knight, a prince, a soon to be father, and soon to be king!"

Sonic grinned and hugged his parents tightly. "I'll make you both proud! I promise!" he said to which his parent hugged him back tightly.
