A/N: .1-huh, i did net expect a hiccup x merida omake to show up. Its been years since ive last seen anything related to that.
You can thank a pair of twins for reminding you of that old classic.
SilentKnightFan-Awesome chapter And OOOOH BOOOY SEPHIROTH IS COMING!
Yes i definitely do deserve that name XD WOOOOO!
I await patiently my good sir XD
Im glad I made their day :)
Sorry sir but Im a SWAG AXE MAIN! XD Used to be long sword but i was converted to the ways of the SWAG AXE XD
Hiccup and Merida? OHOOOO MY XD
While I dislike AI generated art, I do understand why people use it but I dont condone people who use it to make profit since its been known to actually steal existing artworks and has actually damaged a lot of artists. It's your choice to use it but just keep that in mind. Also, Nimueh, NIIIIMUUUUEEEHH! MY GOSH SHE IS STAAAACKED! XD
Whoop! We've got a FF7 fan! Honestly, I didn't think enough people knew about Kadaj and his gang, seeing as I don't see a lot of people talking about Advent Children, so I was hoping Sephiroth would be more of a surprise when he did arrive. Oh, well. It was always a long shot. Still, I can't wait until he shows up! One of Final Fantasy's greatest villains showing up! Vergil might not have been able to beat him, but Jaune might have a chance. He does have a lot of similarities with Cloud, and I don't mean just looks.
Indeed, you most certainly do.
You're far more patient than I.
You did.
Switch Axe is pretty awesome. Maybe I should drag MH World out and do a Switch Axe run.
Oh, you have nothing to worry about that. I have no plans on making any money off of my A.I. art. Hell, I'M not even fully satisfied with what I get. I feel like I'm not using it properly. A.I. seems to be allergic to silver eyes. It keeps giving me characters with silver hair instead. Some of the art is good, but the number of pictures I have to go through. I wonder if that's what magazine companies have to deal with. Ew. All I want is to get certain scenes and characters to help people get a better feel for King of Grimm's world the way I see it. So far, so... alright.
Also, if you think Nimueh is hot, you should see some of my new pics on my gallery. Got some good ones. Verde came out really well. Damn, she's hot. There's just one problem with my pretty, lil' lion. . . SHE'S THIRTEEN! CAREFUL HOW YOU FEEL WHEN YOU SEE THOSE PICS OF HER AND WHAT YOU SAY! FBI WILL BE CALLED!
And with that warning, onto the story.
The King's Glaive was roaring down the path towards the sea dividing Patch from Vale. The bike was running like new as if nothing had happened to it.
'Alright. I'll admit it. I'm impressed you were able to fix it,' Nimueh said within the sword.
"Still took me an hour though."
"Should have taken longer," Argent pouted.
"I heard that." Argent just tightened his grip on his dad before the family reached a cliff. "Alright," Jaune went as he pushed up his helmet's visor. He then took a deep breath and let out a Nevermore cry.
Moments later, he raised up his arm when he heard Neverflame's call, the fiery Grimm grabbed the bike and flew them safely over the water before placing them on land. The burning bird then squawked as it flew away into the horizon.
"Aw. We barely spent any time with Neverflame ever since we left New Mantle," Argent pouted.
"Sorry, kiddo. Can't rely on a flying Grimm for everything. Besides, I thought you liked riding on King's Glaive. It's going to be yours one day, after all."
"Hm. . . HM?! REALLY," Argent asked with twinkling eyes.
"That got your attention," Jaune chuckled before revving the bike and heading toward Signal Academy.
Meanwhile, at the Headmaster's office, a pudgy Faunus with white rabbit ears and glasses was pacing back and forth. "Oh, deary me. Oh, woe is me. Why me? Why during my administration? I can't believe I'm actually wishing they don't come. I don't want to do this."
KNOCK-KNOCK
"YES," the Headmaster jumped, shaking like a leaf as a man with red spades on his vest came in.
"Headmaster White, sir?"
"Y-Yes, Mr. Spade?"
"Um, sir... we have confirmation... that the Arcs are on Patch."
The Headmaster was stunned for a bit before he began to cry. Then, he started to fully sob as he slumped over his desk. "Woe is me. Oh, woe is to me." He then took out his pocket watch, and looked at the time, sniffling. "In approximately fifty-one minutes, I'll have to do the most difficult thing in my academic career." He then began to wail comically, his tears flowing like water fountains.
"Um, would you like some tea, sir?"
"Chamomile, please," he said through his sniffles. "With some carrot crumpets."
Jaune drove past the small town, ignoring the looks of awe and admiration people were giving him and his family (mostly because he grew used to it). It didn't take long for him to find a place to park the motorcycle, lifting Argent off the bike and giving Nimueh the Aura necessary to take physical form. The family then walked towards the school.
"By the gods, it's him," a parent whispered.
"He's enrolling his son here?! He could get any school he wants, including New Atlas Academy, yet he chooses to enroll his son here?! We're getting you into this school!"
"I can't believe my little girl gets to go to school with the son of the world's greatest hero!"
A child ran up to Jaune. "Y-You're J-J-J-J-Jaune Arc, right?! The Vale Knight?! T-THE GRIMM KING," the little girl asked.
Jaune sighed at the last title before smiling at the girl. "That would be me."
"Um, my name is Alicia Wonder! Could I please shake your hand," she said as she held out her tiny little hand.
Jaune snickered. "That's a new one." Jaune then knelt down and shook the blonde cutie's hand.
Alicia looked at her hand, blushing with a giant smile. "I-I'll never wash this hand! I swear!"
"Please, do," Jaune went with a sweat drop. He then got serious. "Hygiene is important to even Huntsmen. We need to keep our bodies in prime condition, which means washing our hands, sanitizing any injuries, and working out to keep our bodies at peak health. After all," Jaune began as he grabbed a stone that fit in his palm. "You want to be able to do this one day, don't you?" Jaune then crushed the rock into sand, opening his palm and letting the wind blow the sand away.
Alicia was in awe before her eyes twinkled. "Yes, sir! I'll be sure to wash my hands immediately!" She then ran off, a skip in her step.
"Not exactly what I was getting at," Jaune said as he stood up.
"But it worked," Nimueh shrugged.
"Arie?" The Arcs looked to see Tai. "ARIE," he went after appearing in front of his grandson, giving the boy a bearhug.
"Hi, Grand... Pa," Argent struggle to say through the hug.
"I'll never get tired of hearing that. Wait, if you're here..." He looked at Jaune. "Are you... ENROLLING MY GRANDSON HERE," he asked with sparkling eyes.
"So THAT'S where Argent gets it from," Nimueh said.
Jaune sighed. "Yes, Tai. I'm enrolling Arie in Sig-NAL?!" Jaune was surprised when Tai hugged him.
"THIS IS THE HAPPIEST I'VE EVER BEEN WITH YOU, JAUNE! YOU'VE DONE WELL, FOR ONCE!"
"Thanks. Now, can you stop hugging me? You're crushing me," Jaune strained.
"Oh? Am I really," Tai went darkly.
"I get it. You still hate me for getting Ruby pregnant."
"And keeping Argent a secret for ten years, and also having relations with Raven, and having a son with her," Tai listed, tightening his "hug" with each point.
"I-I get it. But can you please let go?"
"No."
"Ahem." Tai went blue in the face when he looked at Nimueh, who had a sweet smile, but a terrifying aura behind it. "Let go of my husband before I hurt you."
Tai immediately released Jaune. "Sorry, ma'am."
Jaune patted his chest and pushed on his back to crack it back into place before sighing. "So, where do the interviews take place?"
"Interviews? Come on, Jaune. I'm a teacher here. Plus, Arie's a pretty famous kid already. He's a shoo-in for Si-"
"E-Excuse me?"
Everyone looked toward the voice.
"Oh, Headmaster White," Tai went.
"Hello, Mr. Xiao Long. G-G-G-G-Greetings, Sir Arc," the Headmaster went while rubbing his hands together nervously.
"Just Jaune, sir. I'm assuming you wish to speak with my family in private?"
"You assume correctly, sire."
"Jaune."
"Mr. Jaune. Please, follow me to my office."
The Arcs followed the Headmaster through the school, Jaune sensing the negativity coming from him during the walk. 'Depression. Anxiety. Despair. What's wrong with this guy? Did something happen,' Jaune thought. He may be able to sense emotions, but he's not a mind reader like Ren apparently is.
After reaching the office, the family took a seat in front of the Headmaster's desk. "So, what must we do to enroll Argent into your school," Jaune asked.
Headmaster White stared at the Arcs with a forced smile before it began to quiver. Then, he openly burst out crying, slamming his face onto his desk before pounding on it continuously.
"What the hell," Nimueh went.
"Uh, dad, is he okay?"
"I have no idea. Uh, sir? About Argent's enrollment?"
"That's just it," he sobbed as he looked up, tears and snot rolling down his face. "WE CAN'T ENROLL YOUR SON IN OUR SCHOO-HOO-HOOOL!"
Jaune was staring at the sobbing headmaster, his jaw dropped, the only thing in his mind being a furious Ruby.
Nimueh closed her husband's mouth, looking just as shocked but shaking her head clear. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T ENROLL ARIE?! IS MY SON NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOUR PRECIOUS ACADEMY?!"
"That's the problem," Headmaster White said as he was wiping his tears away with his hanky. "He's TOO good."
"Come again," Nimueh went.
"Mrs. Arc-"
"Still love that," she went.
"Please see it from our point of view. This is a primary academy. We help our students develop their fighting style to eventually help them craft a weapon unique to them. Argent already has the legendary Crocea Mors, the Arc Family heirloom. How are we to help him build a weapon when he already has what's basically Vale's National Treasure?"
"Ew. Can't argue with that. But what about combat training?"
"TRAINING?! HIS FATHER TRAINED HIM HOW TO SWORDFIGHT! HE WAS TRAINED IN MARTIAL ARTS BY THE LEGENDARY YANG XIAO LONG! WHAT COULD WE POSSIBLY TEACH HIM IN TERMS OF FIGHTING?!"
"I mean, Taiyang Xiao Long is one of your teachers. Can't you have him teach Argent?"
"Have one teacher train the child of a legendary Huntsman? That would look terrible on our part. People would claim we're squandering the boy's talents, and they'd be right!"
"Well, you could have him take history classes."
"Young Mr. Arc, how did General Lagoon lose at the Battle of Fortcastle?"
"Huh? The Faunus had night vision, giving them a huge advantage when the general attacked them at night," Argent answered without missing a beat.
"How do you know that," Jaune asked.
"Aunt Blake read me history books when she babysat me."
"Of course she did," he facepalmed.
"Well, what about... uh... Semblance control," Nimueh asked sheepishly.
White sighed before taking out his scroll and bringing up the family's first fight against the cult, specifically Argent's fight against Rauban. "What is there we could POSSIBLY teach when it comes to helping him control his Semblance? What's worse, all schools consider mission participation with a Huntsman as extra credit. Because of his travels with the both of you throughout the summer, Argent Arc has more than enough credits to join any of the major Academies."
"YOU MEAN IT'S MY FAULT MY KID CAN'T GET INTO SCHOOL," Jaune yelled.
"I'm sorry, sir, but you trained your son too well! There is literally nothing he can learn at any primary academy! He has the credentials to be a team leader at this point! Oh, woe be to me! Our school would have become legendary if we had an Arc enrollment! What's more, he's the child of two legendary Huntsmen, so our credibility would have gone through the roof!" The headmaster then began to sob again. "I'm begging you, please take that golden ticket away! It's torture looking at him!"
"We... We should go," Nimueh said as she got up.
"Y-Yeah," Jaune said as he and Argent got up, the family leaving, ignoring the uncomfortable crying.
When they finally got out of range of the Rabbit Faunus's crying, it finally hit Argent. "I don't have to go to school. I DON'T HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL!" Argent lept on his dad's back, cheering. "YOU'RE STUCK WITH ME, DAD," he laughed.
"Nah-ah," Jaune went after yanking his son off of his back, holding the boy in front of him. "You're not getting out of school that easily, kiddo."
"You're not thinking of enrolling him into Beacon, are you," Nimueh asked with a shocked face.
"Hell no! He! IS! TEN! Even Ruby was fifteen when she was enrolled."
"Well, what do you plan on doing? If Signal won't take Argent, there's no way any other primary academy will. . . Oh, crap. Except for one."
"No! No-no-no! That isn't even a last resort!"
"Oh, thank my uncle," Nimueh sighed in relief. "I am NOT sending my kid to New Mantle and enrolling him in New Atlas. Winter would have a damned field day!"
"Forget a field day, she'd be ecstatic enough to fly to the moon. She would train him to be her ultimate Ace Op. Hell, she'd probably find excuses to be his personal teacher. My ex-girlfriend being my son's teacher." Jaune and Nimueh both imagined Winter's shadow looming over them, ice blue orbs and an ice blue crescent moon smile looking down at them with Winter's dark chuckle. The thought made them shutter.
"If that's not enough, Ruby's there. It'd be like giving over custody," Nimueh went.
"Ruby, Winter, Weiss, so many reasons NOT to send Arie to New Mantle," Jaune went.
"What about Great Aunt Willow or Big Sis Elm or Big Sis Robyn? Ooh, or Great Uncle Qrow?"
Jaune stiffened. "Qrow. Oh, gods, Qrow. There's no way I can send you to New Mantle."
"Mm, fine. I'm not really fond of the uniform anyway," he shrugged.
"Oh, yes. We've got programs like that," Tai went, prompting the family to hide behind a corner, covering Argent's mouth as he walked by with a family, giving a tour of the school and explaining its extra-curriculum. When he was gone, the parents let out a sigh of relief.
"Why did we hide from grandpa?"
"Because if your grandpa found out you couldn't be enrolled in his school, he'd be devastated and probably call your mom. Once your mom finds out, she'll be PISSED and come after us to both keep her promise and then drag you to New Mantle and enroll you into New Atlas."
"Eep!"
"So... we're gone," Jaune said as he lifted his family and used his powers to speed them out of the academy. Once they were off the grounds and on the King's Glaive, they rode away from the school like the wind.
"So, what's the plan, babe," Nimueh asked.
Jaune was thinking. "No academy will take Argent because he's too advanced. There's nothing they can teach him. But there has to be a school with kids his age that has something Argent doesn't know. Something even we can't teach him."
"And what would that be, How to be a Faunus 101," Nimueh asked with a raised eyebrow.
Jaune then drifted to a halt.
"Uh, Jaune?"
"Faunus. . . Faunus. . . FAUNUS! THAT'S IT! Oh, crap. Argent might be right about me being stuck with him."
"Huh? What do you mean, dad?"
"It means you're coming with me and your mom to Menagerie."
"I am," he asked with excited, sparkling eyes.
Jaune sighed before taking out his scroll and dialing a number.
A few rings later.
'Well, what a surprise. We haven't even spoken since you came to Kali's birthday last year.'
"Hello, Chieftain."
'Oh, come now. You're officially a family friend.'
"Like Sun?"
'Don't push it.'
Jaune chuckled. "Sorry. Couldn't resist. It really has been a while, Ghira."
"And that's just about the gist of it."
'So to summarize, Argent is literally too skilled for any human primary school, and since you smartly don't want to send him to any of the four Academies, you want him to take classes in a Menagerian Primary Academy. Is that about right?'
"Is... Is it a bad idea?"
'Absolutely not,' Ghira laughed. 'I think it's a brilliant idea! Honestly, it's something that we should have thought of years ago. We send our children to the mainland all the time, but for a human child to attend our school? Argent would be making history.'
"Oh. I'm making my son more famous. Great," Jaune went unenthusiastically. Jaune sighed in defeat. "But, Ghira, be honest, do you really think Argent can learn any of the Beast God styles?"
'Actually, with his Semblance, it might be possible.'
"Huh?"
'His Beast God will explain it to him when you get here. How long do you think it will take?'
"Oh, well, we're planning on riding Neverflame, so maybe about twelve hours? That's not including our first trip back home to pack for Menagerie."
'Ah, then I have plenty of time to prepare for your arrival. Kali will be thrilled to see her 'kitten'."
"DON'T CALL ME THAT," Argent yelled.
Ghira just laughed. 'Feisty as ever. I still like that boy.'
"Good to hear. So, Ghira, is that motel still open? We are going to need to place to stay, after all. 'Course, if there's a house for sale, I'll gladly purchase it. Not getting my hopes up with how crowded Menagerie is, but I'm hoping I'm lucky."
'What are you going on about?'
"Huh?"
'You're staying at our estate, of course,' Ghira chuckled as if it were the most obvious thing ever.
You practically see Jaune and Nimueh turn colorless as glass breaks behind them, Argent looking between his parents in confusion.
"Uh, come again?"
'Don't worry. The room you and your family stayed in can be prepared in just a few minutes. You'll be right at home when you arrive.'
"Wait, Ghira-"
'See you, soon, Jaune. Tell Arie his Great Uncle is looking forward to seeing him.'
"I'm looking forward to seeing you, too, Great Uncle Ghira," Argent said excitedly, making the Faunus laugh.
'Ah, if only Verde was joining you. Oh, well. Can't have the entire family visit this old panther. See you soon.'
"Wait, Ghira-" Beep. "Aw, shit."
Nimueh grabbed Janue by the collar, looking at him with a deep blush. "Why? Didn't? You? Stop? Him," she asked through clenched teeth.
"You heard the conversation!"
"I CAN'T BE IN THE SAME ROOM AS THOSE TWO! NOT AFTER LAST TIME! HELL, WHY ARE THEY SO CALM ABOUT IT!"
"Nim, calm down."
"CALM DOWN?! WE HAD A DAMNED FOURSOME, JAUNE! A FOURSOME!"
"What's a foursome," Argent asked.
"FOURWAY TRAINING," the parents said in perfect unison. Too perfect, actually. Seems they knew they may screw up in front of their kid one day, so they rehearsed various excuses.
"Wait, I know what to do!"
"DO IT!"
Jaune dialed Sun's number.
"YES! SUN! HE'S A PERFECT COCKBLOCKER FOR GHIRA," Nimueh praised.
"Kali may be a different story, but cross that bridge. . ." Jaune then looked at Nimueh. Well, actually, her body. Specifically her gorgeous, round, perky G-cup breasts.
Nimueh immediately turned away while hugging her breasts. "You are NOT throwing me to the cats. I AM NOT A MOUSE!"
"Better you than me, babe."
"I. Will. Hurt. You," she growled through her clenched teeth.
"Come on, Sun! Come on!"
'Hey! It's Sun!'
"Sun! I need your help!"
'I go where I'm needed! But I'm not needed at my scroll right now. Sorry.'
"FUCK!"
'Leave your message!'
Jaune slumped over. "I'm fucked."
Nimueh slumped over. "We might GET fucked."
They both sighed in defeat.
"Is Great Aunt and Uncle Belladonna's house that bad?"
"It's complicated, kiddo/sweetie," his parents went.
"You know what? Screw it. We'll deal with it when we deal with it. At least I can have some solace in one thing," Jaune said as he revved the motorcycle.
"What?"
"Blake won't ever know."
"Oh, gods," Nimueh snickered out. "Imagine if SHE knew. We'd be screwed."
"She'd use me a as scratching post and probably rent me out to Yang as a sandbag," Jaune chuckled.
"May she never find out," the couple said before riding away.
Just as the dust faded away, a nearby bush rustled.
Out of it shinned the lens of Laurance's camera.
"Did you get all that," Amanda asked.
"Yes, ma'am."
They then popped out of the bush. "And there you have it, people of Remnant! Due to unknown circumstances, the son of the legendary Vale Knight, Argent Arc, WON'T be attending the primary academy of his equally famous mother, Ruby Rose. A huge blow for Signal Academy, and a blow to Argent's education, OR SO YOU'D THINK! But the Vale Knight is stubborn and clever! Instead of enrolling him in any other traditional academy, the Vale Knight is about to make history by enrolling his son into a Faunus Academy on Menagerie! That's right, you tiny island! You're going to get some world-famous visitors, one of which YOU get the privilege of teaching! But what could a Faunus primary academy possibly teach a boy too brilliant for any other academy? What will Argent Arc learn? What is Jaune's relationship with the famous Menagerie Cheiftan and former White Fang High Leader, Ghira Belladonna? Find out this and more with me, Amanda Lavender, here on Remnant News Network."
"And cut! I got it, ma'am!"
"Oh, gods, this is an amazing scoop! I can't wait to see the ratings for this! And it's so juicy, too! To think Jaune Arc had relations with the Belladonnas! And we get to see how a human child fairs in a Faunus school environment!"
"Uh-oh."
"Uh-oh?"
"The video. . . It isn't loading."
"What?"
"It won't load for some reason."
"WHAT?! WHY?!"
"Oh, no. It's a system update."
"AN UPDATE?! WHY IS IT JUST NOW UPDATING?! Oh, whatever. How long will it take?"
"S-Six hours, ma'am."
Amanda's eyebrow twitched. Laurance squatted down and covered his ears, shaking in fear.
"SIX GODDAMN HOURS?!"
Jaune road back to his mansions, drifting to a halt in front of the steps.
"Alright, you all know what to get: Summer clothes, sunscreen, swimsuits, raincoats for the tropical storm, and a jacket just in case that rare cold front hits the island."
"It gets cold in Menagerie," Argent asked.
"Mhm. It may be a tropical island, but they still get pretty cold. And the rains storms are a real treat."
"I remember one time we were there for Verde's coming-of-age ceremony, a hurricane hit the island pretty badly," Nimueh explained. "Blew away a lot of houses. Yang was holding onto Blake and Verde for dear life."
"Took a long time to rebuild those houses," Jaune said as he was taking out his keys.
Then, the door opened. "Hello~," Jin went.
"You knew we were home?" Jinn gave her famous smile and raised an eyebrow combination. Jaune sighed. "I've got to stop asking that."
"I also packed your things for Menagerie."
"Thought of everything, eh," Jaune asked.
"It's easy to do when you know everything," she shrugged. "Oh, but compensation is needed," she said as she held out her hand.
Jaune rolled his eyes before grasping his sister-in-law's hand, and charging her.
"Oh, and you can give me all of your available Aura. You won't be attacked for a while, and Nimueh has enough charge to last her the rest of the week."
"Just a week? Gonna have to fix that when my Aura recharges," Jaune said. He then complied with Jinn's request, charging her to the point his Aura broke.
"Good as new," Jinn said as she flexed her fingers before stretching.
"Hm? Aunt Jinn, what's that," Argent asked while pointing at something.
"Hm? Oh, that's just a roomba."
Jaune looked at Jinn. "I don't own a roomba."
"You do now."
"How did you get into our bank account," Nimueh asked with piercing eyes.
Jinn laughed. "You think I bought it? I MADE it."
"Come again," the couple went.
"What? Did you think I was just going to laze around and do nothing all day? I have to keep myself entertained, or else it would be no different from being trapped in my lamp."
"I thought Uncle Ambsorius was the Creation Spirit."
"Oh, sweetie, he is. But I still have working hands you know. Well, especially now, thanks to your father. Still, it took a few times to perfect it, admittedly."
"So my know-it-all sister had trouble making a rumba," Nimueh asked with a smirk and crossed arms.
"Nimmy-"
"Don't call me that."
Jinn rolled her eyes. "Just because I know how to build it doesn't mean I can do it properly. Knowing and doing are two different things, after all. You should know better than that, Ms. Cassarole."
"Never. Bring. That. Up," Nimueh hissed.
"Fine, fine. Also, I got a bit hooked on crafting. I can see why our brother is so proud of his work. It was actually fun to modify the house."
"You did what," Jaune went.
Nimueh then took out a remote and pressed a button. The house was then covered in metal plating, gun turrets popped out of the roof and the sides of the house, and pillars popped out in front of the trees around the house. The pillars then sparked to life before creating an electric barrier around the mansion. The house was now an impenetrable, guarded fortress. The sight of it made the Arcs' jaws drop.
"THAT IS BEYOND AWESOME," Argent went.
Jaune looked at Jinn. "How?"
"I'm very popular at a local junkyard. Recycling at its finest. Great for the environment. Oh, and don't worry about the electric bill. I made a generator. Just fill it up with some garbage and voila."
"Okay, but why did you make my house into a fortress," Nimueh went.
"Hm. Why would I, one of the Four Relics, a priceless artifact, and one of the Four Keys needed to bring back the gods, need to turn the house of one of the most famous and despised Huntsmen in the world into a fortress? Why indeed would one such as I need to make the house of the man hated by the criminal underworld into something so fortified?"
"Smartass."
"Fortunately, it isn't widely known that I live here yet."
"Yet," Jaune asked.
"Yet. So far, you three and Glynda are the only ones who know I'm here, but I still need to be kept safe, now don't I? I'm not a warrior like Glynda or Nimueh, and I don't have an army of well-trained soldiers to guard me as Ambrosius does. So, this house is my bodyguard. Makes sense, don't you think?"
Jaune sighed. "Yeah. It does. Damn, you're awesome."
"I know." Nimueh growled at her sister. "Oh, I almost forgot," Jinn said as she took out a metal whistle from between her breasts.
"Ow," Jaune went after Nimueh elbowed him. "What was that for?"
"I know you were staring."
"You can't prove that," Jaune went defensively.
"I know you," she said as she looked at him, making Jaune jolt. "Plus, mental link," she went with a raised eyebrow.
"Urk."
Jinn giggled before blowing the whistle.
"Huh. It kinda sounds like Neverflame," Argent said.
The moment he did, Neverflame's cry was heard. Everyone looked up to see the fiery Grimm flying over the mansion. Jinn deactivated the defenses to let the majestic bird land.
Jaune looked at Jinn in surprise. "You... made a whistle for Neverflame?!"
"Just because my uncle was the one who created the Grimm doesn't mean I don't know any tricks to tame them," Jinn said. "Now then, off you go. You'll be able to reach Menagerie by tomorrow afternoon."
Argent hugged his aunt. "You're amazing, Aunt Jinn!"
"We already established that honey," Jinn said as she stroked her nephew's hair. The boy then released his aunt, grabbed his suitcase, and jumped onto Neverflame's back, the Grimm squawking from the landing. It then began to purr as Argent scratched its neck.
Jaune sighed before turning towards Jinn. "We're off Jinn. Take care of the house for us."
"Of course. It's my home now too, you know. Bye-bye, sister."
"Yeah, yeah. Later," Nimueh went with a roll of her eyes before walking towards Neverflame with Jaune.
"Why don't you like her again? OW," Jane went after Nimueh smacked the back of his head. With that, Nimueh waved the family goodbye as she watched them ride Neverflame into the horizon.
CRASH
Nimueh looked behind her to see another roomba, but this one was on its back, showing its wheels. Wheels that had suction cups on them.
"Oh, dear. They were too old to be used properly. But then again, they were just suction cups. Maybe I should use a different design for the ceiling roomba."
BEEP-BEEP.
She looked towards a window to see another roomba.
WINDOW CLEANER REFILL NECESSARY.
"Already? I need to upgrade that," she sighed before closing the door.
It was quiet in the Xiao Long household. That was because Yang was out on a mission, leaving Blake and Verde to take care of the house.
Blake had just finished cleaning up after her and Verde's lunch, placing the last dish in the washer before preparing some tea for her and her daughter.
After pouring the tea, she went to join Verde in the living room, the girl watching the news.
"Anything interesting happen," Blake asked as she sat down, handing Verde a cup.
"Just Uncle Jaune planning on taking Argent to Menagerie so he can go to school there."
Blake's lips barely reached her cup before she slowly put it down and looked at her daughter. "What?" Verde just pointed at the screen.
Blake looked to see Jaune on his scroll with his family on his bike.
'I'm looking forward to seeing you too, Great Uncle Ghira,' Argent said on the video.
'Wait, Ghira! Aw, s***.'
'Why? Didn't? You? Stop? Him?'
'You heard the conversation!'
'I CAN'T BE IN THE SAME ROOM AS THOSE TWO! NOT AFTER LAST TIME! HELL, WHY ARE THEY SO CALM ABOUT IT!'
'Nim, calm down.'
Blake then began to sip her tea.
'CALM DOWN?! WE HAVE A DAMNED FOURSOME, JAUNE! A FOURSOME!' Blake did a spit take, coughing violently.
Verde was blushing brightly. "Uncle Jaune... and my grandparents?"
'Sun! I need your help!'
Blake perked up. "Sun?"
'F***!'
"He couldn't reach Sun," she went, ears drooping.
Jaune slumped over. 'I'm f***.'
Nimueh slumped over. 'We might GET f***.'
Blake turned to stone.
'Is Great Aunt and Uncle Belladonna's house that bad?'
'It's complicated, kiddo/sweetie.'
'You know what? Screw it. We'll deal with it when we deal with it. At least I can have some solace in one thing.'
'What?'
'Blake won't ever know.'
"That's where you're wrong, dear uncle," Verde went in a singsong tone as she sipped her tea.
'Oh, gods,' Nimueh snickered out. 'Imagine if SHE knew. We'd be screwed.'
Blake was tightening her grip on her cup to the point it was cracking.
'She'd use me a as scratching post and probably rent me out to Yang as a sandbag,' Jaune chuckled.
"That's a good idea," she said as more cracks formed.
'May she never find out,' the couple said before riding away.
Blake then shattered her cup, the tea spilling over her hand and onto the floor, Blake felt nothing.
"Oh, my," Verde said before calmly sipping her tea.
'And there you have it, people of Remnant! That's right, your tiny island! Find out this and more with me, Amanda Lavender, here on Remnant News Network.'
Blake shot up from the couch. "Verde, pack your suitcase! We're going to Menagerie," Blake yelled as she stomped away.
"Mom isn't back yet, you know," Verde called.
"LEAVE A DAMN NOTE!"
Verde took a sip. "Should we tell Aunt Ruby," she called.
"WE'LL DO THAT LATER! START PACKING, YOUNG LADY!"
Verde shrugged before finishing her tea and getting up to follow her mother's orders. "I actually feel sorry for you, Uncle Jaune," she said out loud.
Jaune then shuttered.
"Something wrong, dad," Argent said, looking up at his dad while sitting on his father's lap.
"I feel like I'm in a lot of trouble."
"When are you not," Nimueh asked within the sword.
"Good point." Jaune sighed. 'Hope this isn't an omen or something,' he thought.
Omake:
Ruby had just returned from a mission. She had taken off her boots to not only let her feet air out but to get the snow out of her shoes. She was about to undress so she could take a nice warm shower before her scroll rang. She looked to see that it was her father calling. "Hey, dad. What's up," she answered.
Moments later, outside Atlas Tower.
"WHAAAAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN ARIE ISN'T ENROLLED IN SIGNAL," Ruby yelled with such force and volume that the entire building jumped.
Then...
"AAAAAAARRRCC," She roared, making then tower even higher jump, dividing into even more pieces than before.
A/N: I present to you another omake given to me and made by the twins who made the Hiccup x Merida omake. This time, we're getting a separate Ace Ops team made of characters you might find familiar.
Omake-
In the Atlas training room, North and Aster were sparring, trading and exchanging blows with their weapons with Toothiana and Sandy watching. Aster charged at North full speed, he leaped over expecting to hit him with his boomerangs, but North easily blocked his attacks when Aster landed behind him, North jumped at him trying to swing his swords but Aster dodged him backflipping until he reached and leaped onto the wall, kicking off it into the air, dove down to kick North, but he blocked him and threw him to the side. They got into their stances
"Everyone's looking good huh, Sandy?" Toothiana asked the little man next to her, who nodded
"Gotta stay in shape and sharp, never know when a mission'll come" Aster paced himself on his feet
"Guardians. General Schnee-Branwen is requesting you," a soldier announced to them
"Like now," Aster said with a smirk
"But not all of us are here, unfortunately," North looked along with the others noticing a member of their team wasn't present causing them to sigh. Sandy got out his scroll, sending a message to someone.
Winter had finished signing some paper for a worker when she noticed The Guardians walk into her office
"Ah. Guardians thank you for coming in" Winter greeted them
"Not a problem at all, Mrs. Schnee-Branwen," North said to her "you have a mission for us?"
"Yes, you see-" Winter even noticed a missing person in their team "you're missing someone. Where's Mr. Frost?" The Guardians looked at themselves, sighing/groaning
Somewhere in a park in Atlas, snow-covered parts of the field, and two sides were divided
"You ready?" Jack asked Argent next to him on the side
"Oh yeah," Argent said eagerly. Jack smiled forming a snowball in his hand
"One last chance to give up!" Jack shouted out to the other side
"Never!" a voice shouted as on the other side of the field multiple kids appeared with snowballs throwing them, Jack and Argent popped out and returned fire, lots of hits, dodging, and laughter until somebody threw a snowball at the biggest meanest kid known as Cupcake, who growled holding a large snowball in her hands, but when a snowball hit her in the face, she slowly started laughing and running after Argent and the kids with her snowball, Jack ran ahead of them
"Little slippery" Jack used the Ice Dust, creating an ice path, Argent slipped on using Crocea Mors as a slid
"Whoa!" Argent yelled
"Argent! Jack!" the kids yelled out as Jack ran close to Argent which lead to a street
"Whoa, don't worry Arie, I got ya!" Jack said using a mix of running and his wind gliding, using ice dust leading Argent into the street, a truck had to stop from hitting them "hold on! It's gonna be alright!" Jack then leaps over in front of Argent, arms behind his back
"Whoo!" Argent yelled
"Keep up with me kid! Make a left!" they were heading toward a man walking his dogs, Jack leap over the man and Argent slid under the leash between the man and the dogs
"Hey, slow down!" the man yelled. Jack kept the ice going as he and Argent headed through a small construction yard, going up a hill back to the street and onto the sidewalk
"Heads up!" Jack yelled to people passing by them at high speed, a few actually noticed/recognized Argent
"Isn't that the Vale Knight's son?" a woman said.
Jack then briefly ran on the wall of a building then turned to Argent sliding backward
"There we go," Jack told the boy
"Whoa-whoa!" Argent went as he and Jack were back on the streets, passing cars laughing, heading toward a truck
"Oh boy!" Jack turned the path, leaping on, leading Argent up another hill. The kids watched as Argent flew through the air in amazement as did Jack and Argent when Argent landed in a snow pile, he and Jack laughed
"Jack. Argent that was so cool!"
"Are you alright, Argent?"
"Yeah" Argent got up "that was so cool! Did you guys see me and Jack?!" Jack smiled down at him as he stood next to a statue "we did jumps and slid-" suddenly a couch slide into him
"Ooh" Jack whined "oops. Argent are you okay?" he jumped down to check on the boy, helping him up as the other kids ran to check. Argent seemed dazed, but shake his head rapidly for a second regaining his balance
"Yeah, I'm good" he smiled laughing as did Jack, until he felt his scroll vibrate, taking it out and opening it, saw he got a message from Sandy and now a call from Toothiana
"Hey, Tooth"
"Jack, where are you? The general has asked for us and you're not here!" she whispered
"Oh sorry. I.. was on a mission" Jack looked at the kids, nervously smiling as the kids smiled giggling at him
"Get here, please" she hangs up the scroll. Jack sighed deeply rubbing the back of his head
"I better get going"
"I'm coming with!" Argent said jumping to him
"Let's go" Jack said as Argent hopped onto his back
"See ya guys" Argent waved to the kids
"See ya, Jack! See ya Argent!" the kids waved as Jack leaped up, gliding through the air and heading toward the Academy
A/N: And there ya have it. The twins made TheRise of the Guardians into New Mantle elites that Argent gets along with famously, specifically with Jack. They wrote other scenes with them, but you'll have to wait to read those another time.
Until next time!
