Pokémon Trainer Hero
Chapter 69: Return to the USJ part. 1
After everything that happened earlier in the morning, 1-A was sent to change and be transported to the USJ. The first leg of the journey was spent in silence. Many of the teens are still thinking back to their first real villain situation. Something that none of them were prepared for, and we're still shaken up. They had only been on the bus for a few minutes before they finally realized that one of the gems was missing. That person is Gar. Once everyone realized he wasn't there, they started to ask for his whereabouts from one another.
Then Momo, being the smartest, asked the one person who would know. "Aizawa Sensei. Where's Gar?", She asked the sleeping man.
Aizawa peeked one eye open from his nap, as Persian switched positions as he slept on his chest, and told her, "He's making his way to the USJ…..again."
Before the girl could question what he meant by that, one of the students announced, "Look! Out there!"
Everyone rushed to the window and saw the man of the topic riding alongside the bus on the back of Rapidash! The flaming horse looked like it was having a blast as it kept pace to beat out the bus while Gar confidently rode on its back sternly and seriously, much like a jockey. He turned his head to the scene of awe-struck teens and stuck his tongue out while pulling down his eyelid and winking at them.
As some of them teased him back and made faces, Gar cracked the horse rains on Rapidash and the flaming horse ran faster! When the bus made a sharp turn and slowed down to make it, Rapidash kept running at full speed until it jumped right over the sharp turn that led to nothing but a cliff!
Everyone gasped in fright at the scene and tried to follow the last place where they saw the young man disappear, but soon it was out of sight as the bus continued! Everyone was clearly panicking until someone saw something else near the cliff on the road they were currently traveling. All eyes follow where the student pointed out from, and off the side of the cliff emerged Gar on the back of Pidgeot!
Pidgeot is an avian Pokémon with large wings, sharp talons, and a short, hooked beak. Its glossy plumage is mostly brown with cream-colored underparts and flight feathers. Its head has a decorated crest that is nearly as long as its body. The center feathers of its crest are yellow, while the outer feathers are red. The fan-like feathers of its tail are red or brown. Its beak and legs are pink, and there are three forward-facing toes and one backward-facing toe on each foot. Behind each eye is an angular black marking.
The students cheered with a mix of relief and excitement at this, much to Aizawa and Persian's chagrin. Gar flew near the bus with the giant bird looking proud and stoic as it kept its eyes forward. The bird then shifted its body to the side and began to fly completely vertical! The teens were awed at this as Gar clung to the bird with nothing but the power of his thighs while shooting a double "rock on" hand sign and sticking out his tongue! He then flew around the bus before flying upwards and through the clouds!
"So cool!", yelled Mina.
"So awesome!", Sero shouted.
"So manly!", Kirishima cried out.
"Geeze, I thought I was gonna have a heart attack.", Momo breathed with a hand on her chest.
"He's still such a ham.", Jiro snarfed while shaking her head in amusement.
"Show off.", Bakugou grumbled under his breath.
Once the bus finally arrived at the USJ so too did Gar on Pidgeot! The huge bird flapped its massive wings so hard it created a strong breeze as it landed, nearly blowing away some students off their feet and blowing up clothing. After the bird landed, Gar slid off all theatrically and struck a pose to demand applause, which the teens gave him.
"Oh thank you, thank you! You're too kind, not really, too kind!", Gar hammed it up even more with many deep and silly bows.
Once the clapping had stopped, Aizawa came to the front of the students and asked, "You finished with your show?"
Gar nods with a bow while moving aside from the entry door and motioned to it while saying, "Of course. I'm done now. Please, take the reins from me."
Aizawa walked past him to reach the door, but stopped for a moment beside the young man to ask quietly, "So what's with theatrics?"
Gar peaked up at him with a serious expression and told him, "You know why. I'm shaking in my sneakers just looking at this place. Better they come in with some distraction."
Aizawa nods at his logic and replies, "Fair enough."
Before the tired man could open the newly installed front door, one of the girls let out an ear-piercing scream.
"KYAAAAAA!", Yelled the girl as all eyes whipped towards the screaming.
There stood Momo hugging herself and bouncing her legs up with a disgusted shiver on her face.
"Momo! What's wrong!?", Uraraka asked her in a panic.
"Someone grabbed my thigh!", She squeaked out while waving her hands at the discomfort she felt.
Almost immediately all eyes fell on the suspect who was doing both but picking his ear. That person is Mineta. He stopped picking his ear after seeing that everyone around him was now silently glaring at him.
He looked around at the group and asked, "What?"
"You know what!", Jiro exclaimed angrily.
"You think it was me?", Mineta asked back with genuine confusion.
"Yeah, who else.", Jiro stated matter of factly.
Mineta stared up at her with narrowed eyes and crossed arms as he sassed her back, "Oh really? Well Mrs. Detective, aren't you forgetting some important details of my offense?"
"That being?", She asked back convincingly with hands on her hips.
Mineta huffed and stated, "If I'm here and Momo's thick juicy thighs are over there, how did I do it? Just to remind you, I don't have a stretching or super speed quirk."
Once this realization dawned on Jiro and everyone else, everyone immediately felt a sense of dread take over them! When Mineta was right, he was damn right! No way he could feel her up from where both of them were! But if that was all true, then what made Momo scream? That thought crossed everyone's mind as they all looked around with goosebumps rising on their skin. Before anything else could happen, Momo screamed again!
"KYAAAAAA!", The girl yelled as everyone whipped their fearful eyes to her, only to see a pair of stubby three-fingered hands grabbing her legs from the ground.
Momo managed to pull herself away from the grabbing hands and ran for cover towards Kaminari, who held her away from the hands while keeping his eyes pinned to them! The hands reached around for its quarry but came up empty. From there they sank back into the darkened ground and a large rotund figure rose in its place! A large figure with red eyes and a huge smile! The teens gasped at this sight and moved back as far as they could in their suspenseful fear-ridden state!
All except for Gar who only narrowed his eyes to make sure he was seeing it correctly and exclaimed, "Oh for the love of-Gengar! No! Bad! You know better than to do that!"
Gar boldly and courageously walked over to the Ghost and bonked him on the head, forcing the Pokemon to take his natural form. To which the Pokémon chuckled a deep and brooding laugh that sounded like it came from a person instead of a pseudo animal, much to everyone's group shiver.
Gar sighed while resting his elbow on the Pokémon's head and said to the girl, "Sorry Momo, Gengar has a nasty habit of scaring people and laughing about it. He means no harm, honestly."
"I-I-I-Its ok-k-k-k-kay.", Momo tried to say back nonchalantly, only to make it known that she was still very scared and very bothered by the prank.
Gar turned to the Pokémon, forcing its face to look him in the eye, and told him firmly, "Gengar, apologize."
Gengar stared back at Gar's serious expression with a smile of manipulation. He then shrunk his large eyes down to where they looked unnatural on his supernatural form. Gar said this and knowing what was happening he stated in the warning, "Don't you dare."
Then Gengar made their mouth shrink, making his weird appearance seem more normal. Gar retorted to this by exclaiming, "Gengar! Don't you dare! I'm warning you!"
Gengar then smiled up at him with an all-knowing grin, making the young man proclaim loudly with a waving finger, "You are not getting out of this young mon! You can't use that-."
Before he could finish that thought, Gengar stretched its mouth out as wide as he could before shrinking it back down to produce a repeated popping noise. Gar's stern parental disapproval faded as his lips quivered and he quickly caved in!
"Awwww! I can't stay mad at you, you little Impidimp.", He cooed while hugging the large weird Pokemon, who hugged him back.
All the teens stared at the scene awkwardly and sweatdropped in unison. Watching Gar as he coddled and cradled the Pokémon like it was some sort of baby….a big, ugly, awkward baby that looks like a head with arms and legs. All in all…..it was just weird to watch.
"I'm sorry, but did that Pokemon just get out of an apology by reenacting the Popping Cat meme?", Kaminari asked aloud.
"Gar's Pokemon sure are crazy?", Shoji added.
"More like really weird.", Tokoyami put in his two cents.
"I wonder where they get it from?", Uraraka sarcastically asked while staring at Gar.
Before the teens could feel any more discomfort from what they were watching, a loud and excited voice called out and greeted everyone in an announcement, "Hello again everyone!"
All heads turned to the voice and saw none other than their teacher who had previously been harmed in the USJ attack! All while looking completely fine!
"Thirteen Sensei!", They all shouted in shocked unison.
"Wh-What are you doing back!? Aren't you supposed to be in the hospital?", Uraraka exclaimed aloud, asking what they were all thinking.
Thirteen did a small spin on her foot and stated joyfully, "I'm completely fine! And ready to teach you kids the importance of Search and Rescue here at the USJ!"
As the heroin body posed with a peppy demeanor, all the teens didn't return the sentiment. They all stood around or just backed away from the building altogether. They rubbed their bodies and hugged themselves anxiously while avoiding to make the sight of the building. All of them looked so uncomfortable and scared.
The once bright and glowing glass and metal frame of the dome now looked and felt cold and uninviting. No matter how they thought about it, the memories of their lives on the line that horrible day rang clear as the open sky above them. No longer a place to learn, but instead a grim reminder of what their career choice entails.
Even Gar looked amazed at her happiness. Nearly vibrating with anxiety as he held the Ghost Pokemon tighter in his arms. Gengar even sensed this and made its bristling fur much softer and its body more pliable. Pidgeot saw this as well and tried to ease him by doing the one thing it knew. Preening his hair.
Aizawa saw how his students were acting and saw how their flames were dying down. He knew he had to stoke it once more, and had a good idea of what to say. Standing up straighter he asserted his voice and told the uncomfortable kids, "I know you all have your reservations about returning here, and I understand. However, in the field of heroics, a hero has to overcome his or her fear or past trauma in the name of duty. Doesn't mean you should ignore it, however, it's our job to go above and beyond the call of justice to secure a better future for the innocent. That's what the true measure of a hero is, that is what it means to go Plus Ultra."
It was only seconds after the last few words left Aizawa's lips when he saw the spark of the flame shine once more in their eyes. The fire of duty and responsibility was beginning to show once again, and it was almost glorious to see it go off in a chain reaction. It was wonderful to see a new generation of heroes leading the charge to a better tomorrow and hopefully do even better than they were.
Thirteen chimed in and stated while a happy glint on her helmet, "Well said Eraserhead! I couldn't have put it any better myself.", The heroine then turned her gaze to Gar and down to the strange creature he was hugging. "Oh! And who's this cutie?", She announced while placing her hands on her cheeks and tilting her head in a cutesy manner.
Gar brightened up at the question and told her with an excited vigor in his form and voice, "This is Gengar, the first Pokemon I ever caught. Say hello Gengar."
Gengar greeted the spacewoman by making its face return to normal and then opening a huge mouth, where he stuck out his tongue like a child!
Thirteen was bothered by this and said in a cute voice, "Well he sure is a little devil, isn't he?"
"You have no idea.", Gar replied while roughly rubbing the Pokémon's head.
Once the doubts and tears of the students had been quelled to some degree they all made their way inside of the patched-up hyper building. Gar returned Pidgeot to his Pokéball, but Gengar refused to go back. So he allowed the Ghost to stay out so long as he didn't cause any more mischief or interfere with the lesson. A condition he seemed to readily agree to, when not looking at him, Gengar eyes up Momo and her legs. Making the girl shiver under his red eyes and the phantom feeling of it is three stubby fingers grabbing her.
Once inside they were all brought before a very deep pit with a natural ramp built into it, running around its circumference. Thirteen told them that the name of this task was to be separated into groups of three, one rescue and one victim. The rescuers are to use whatever means they had to rescue the victims; an unconscious person, a person with a broken leg, and a panicking person.
The first group of victims was Izuku the person with a broken leg, Ochako the unconscious person, and Iida the panicking person. Unsurprisingly, Iida went full over the top theater kid in his role and began to go off so badly that Uraraka couldn't play her part as she was trying not to laugh at him. Things like this went on for about half an hour before Gar left the group and walked over to the two supervising heroes.
Gar Walker up to Aizawa, who turned his attention to him as he said, "Hey Shota, I'm gonna go for a brief walk. Need to stretch my legs and clear my head."
Aizawa said nothing in reply and instead silently nodded his head.
Just before he walked off, Thirteen briefly stopped him to ask, "Are you sure you'll be okay going by yourself?"
Gar waves off her concerns and says, "Don't worry Thirteen, I've got Kecleon.", Before she could ask what he meant, a small Pokemon that resembled a chameleon appeared on his shoulder. "And besides, Gengar sure is loving all the attention.", Gar followed up while pointing over to the teens.
The two adults looked over and saw Gengar sitting on the ground with a blissful expression on his face as several of the teens all crowded around him, cuddling and cooing at him.
"Hey! Focus on the exercise, not the Pokémon.", Aizawa announced, making the teens return their focus to the exercise, but still keeping close to the Pokemon.
"I'll be back in a bit. Don't wait for me.", Gar told them nonchalantly while waving them off with a relaxed posture.
Thirteen waved him off while Aizawa just stood there and watched him until he was out of sight. Once gone, Thirteen turned to her companion and asked, "Is it true?", Aizawa said nothing in reply and only looked at her inquisitively. To which she expanded upon, asking, "The rumors about what happened a few days ago with Nezu, Gar, you, and Nemuri?"
Aizawa sighs while rubbing his face as he answers, "I'm sure not everything you heard is true, but I'm sure some of it is."
Thirteen forcefully blew out air in animated anxiety as she stated, "Wow. I was kinda stunned honestly. We were putting a civilian on the front lines with no experience or knowledge of what we do. Makes me feel stupid."
Aizawa took a deep breath while looking up, as Persian rubbed his leg, saying to her, "Don't worry, we all felt like that after the realization. By the way.", Then a thought crossed his mind, and turning to he asked, "You heard about the update to Nezu's plan, right?"
Thirteen looked at him strangely and asked, "What do you mean?"
"He called it off. He said not to do it for Gar's well-being. At least until he gets better upstairs.", Aizawa explained while pointing at his head.
"What!?", Thirteen exclaimed, getting a few stares from the students, who looked away after seeing nothing had happened.
"You….didn't know?", Aizawa asked with increasing worry.
Thirteen shook her head and stated in a panic, "N-No! I didn't! I was here all day getting the USJ and All Might ready! I had no idea."
"Getting All Might ready? He wasn't at the meeting this morning, but Nezu assured me that he spoke to him before he left.", Aizawa told her while narrowing his eyes.
"That's not what it seemed like when he came in today.", She replied with distress in her tone.
Aizawa bit his lower lip and said in a hushed tone, "Shit! We have to find him before he starts this!"
With that, the two heroes temporarily ended the exercise until they got back. Once the teens were idly and safely waiting off to the sides, they both split up to find All Might and stop him from going through with this plan.
A Few Minutes Later
Once Gar had left the sinkhole zone, his walk took him to the landfill zone where garbage was piled like hills. Despite the stink of the trash it was nice to get away and listen to the silence around him. He turned a corner and found himself at the edge of the landslide zone. He took a seat on the edge of the loose ground and looked out at the strange scenery before him. It was nice to just sit back for a moment and takin all the amazing sights and…..well in this case he really couldn't say smells. Gar took a deep breath, relaxed his shoulders, and leaned his head back while closing his eyes to enjoy the moment.
Unfortunately, he didn't realize how much that moment would last. Just as he was in a peaceful state, something large and heavy crashed to the ground with an astounding KABOOM right behind him! He turned around only to see a huge dust cloud and the silhouette of a very large figure! When the dust settled, there stood a large imposing man who was built like a mountain. He wore green combat pants, black boots, a brown belt with two pouches on each hip, a skin-tight blue shirt, shoulder guards with spikes, and a weird mask that looks like a cross of a gas mask with a meta-framework, shaped like the face of a pig.
"BWA HAHAHA! I FOUND YOU, LITTLE HERO! NOW, YOU'RE COMING WITH-!", the huge man began to laugh in a deep voice and approached Gar until the young man cut him off mid-speech.
"All Might? What the Heliolisk are you doing and….wearing?", Gar asked while looking up and down at the men's attire with a critical eye.
The man was taken aback by this reaction and comment and his boisterous and aggressive demeanor melted away and not one of meekness and stammering, as he fumbled over his words to reply, "A-ALL MIGHT. NO NO NO! YOU'RE MISTAKEN. I'M NOT ALL MIGHT, WHO EVEN IS THIS ALL MIGHT?"
"Uh-huh, then who are you?", Gats asks skeptically while crossing his arms.
"I'M! uhhhhhhhhhh, MIGHT…. BLIGHT.", The man blurted out with a nervous ring.
"Might Blight?", Gar questions back for confirmation.
"YES?", He answered with an unsure statement.
Gar sighed exasperatedly while shaking his head and said, "All Might, I know it's you so cut the theatrics."
"AWWWW! WAS IT REALLY THAT OBVIOUS?", All Might whine while using his normal voice.
Gar looked at him in disbelief of his question and shit back, "Obvious? Even a Zubat could tell it was you. What are you even doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in the infirmary after your quadruple Muk dunk? And why are you in that ridiculous two-bit, dollar store, off-brand, Halloween costume?"
All Might continued the theatrics as he clutched a hand to his heart and exclaimed, "WHY MUST YOU DO ME LIKE THIS, YOUNG GARFIELD? I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY GOOD. I DESIGNED IT MYSELF."
"Well creativity clearly isn't your forte.", Gar shot back with an eyebrow raised while Keacleon stuck out her tongue.
"YOU CUT ME SO DEEP.", All Might emphasize while turning away and shedding a tear.
Gar sighed while letting his arms drop to his sides and asked exasperated, "What are you even doing, dressed up like a D-listed movie villain?"
"IT'S PART OF THE EXERCISE!", All Might said with excitement.
All Might almost regret letting those words fall from his mouth as he looked upon the face of a man that constructed from confusion to contained fury in mere seconds! Able to watch the whole thing play out frame-by-frame! It's like watching a well-placed slideshow. It was amazing but also terrifying to watch.
"What-Exercise? Are you saying you dressed up like this and are now going to attack the class? Even after the first incident at the USJ and the Sports Festival?! Who thought of this!", Gar ranted off in demand while poking his chest aggressively.
"WHY, PRINCIPAL NEZU DID. HE EVEN MET WITH ME THIS MORNING TO TELL ME TO PROCEED WITH IT!", All Might told him with forced enthusiasm in an attempt to keep his composure.
"Oh he did, did he!? Well, I'll have some strong words with him. Starting now!", Gar exclaimed as he pulled Rotom from his pocket and began to look for Nezu's office phone.
Before he could even touch the screen, All Might grabbed the phone and threw it away where it got logged into the near mound of trash!
"Buzzt. Hey! What the-!?", Rotom cried out while trying to free himself. "I'm stuck! Buzzt. And my screen is cracked! Arceus dammit! Buzzt.", Rotom cursed as he failed to free himself.
Gar whipped his head over to All Might and yelled, "All Might! What the Distortion World is wrong with-!?"
Before he could finish, All Might quickly and swiftly give him a chop on the back of his neck! Gar's eyes went wide for a moment before they shut as he fell unconscious!
All Might grabbed him before he fell and said to him, "I'M SORRY YOUNG GARFIELD, BUT I CAN'T LET YOU EXPOSE ME TO THE OTHER STUDENTS. IT'S FOR THEIR BENEFIT. BUT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HELP ME AS ME HOSTAGE.", As he said this, he took notice of Kecleon trying to bite the hand that was holding Gar up. He grabbed the small reptile Pokemon by its tail and held her above his head while saying, "AND YOU LITTLE….. CHAMELEON POKEMON WILL BE MY HERALDER."
Back With Class 1-A
After the teens finished their current exercise, some time had passed and they waited around for their teachers to return. However, no sign of them had appeared and they began to grow worried and impatient.
"Where the heck is Aizawa Sensei and Thirteen Sensei?", Uraraka asked aloud, within the silence.
"And where the heck is Gar? It's been a long while.", Izuku put forth.
At this question, Gengar began to deflate and looked sad yet worried. Even beginning to flatten against the floor.
Mina saw this, and petting his head she told him comfortingly, "Don't worry Gengar. I'm sure Gar is fine! He's always been resourceful and strong! So there's nothing to worry about."
Before anything else could happen at that point between the group, a small object was thrown at a high velocity towards the group! Izuku's instincts kicked in and he jumped in to catch the object with one hand! When he inspected the thing he caught, he was shocked to see it was a Pokemon! A Pokemon that looked a little worse for wear.
"Wha-? Kecleon?!", Izuku exclaimed in frightful shock as he readjusted his hold to cradle the Pokémon instead.
"BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!", A loud booming voice suddenly laughed aloud!
All heads swiveled to the noise, and from the direction a huge object landed about several years away from them, landing with a great BOOM! Kicking up a huge cloud of dust and debris with the pressure that hit the kids hard! Make them cover their faces and plant their feet to keep from being blown away!
When the pressure and dust subsided, they were all shocked to see the All Might villain kneeling in a small crater with an unconscious Gar in his hand!
"I AM THE BLIGHT OF MIGHT!", All Might announced sinisterly.
"A villain!", yelled Kaminari.
"Look! He has Gar!", Momo shouted in fright while pointing him out.
"Me and my big fat mouth.", Mina grumbles in shame and anger.
Gengar screamed in anger while flickering out his tongue at the sight of his master! The All Might villain then hopped out of his self-made crater and leered over the teens.
"I HAVE YOU NOW! DO AS I SAY, OR HE GETS IT!", All Might villain demanded as he held up Gar.
Before the teens could think of what to do, Gengar roared in anger and disappeared into the ground! Within a moment he was upon him and took a wild slash at the man's face! All Might be so surprised by the sudden appearance that he didn't react in time, and ended up getting his mask scraped! All Might then proceeded to punch the Pokémon but was utterly shocked when his whole arm went right through the Pokémon's body! Gengar smiled evilly and shot two beams of dark energy from his eyes! This time All Might got away, but not before having one of the spikes on his costume broken off!
"Wait Gengar!", Izuku called out before the Pokémon could attack again.
Gengar hauled for a moment before looking back at the teen, looking at Gar, then putting on a nasty scowl before turning invisible and appearing next to the group.
Iida was the one who bravely stepped to the front of the group and announced to the disguised hero, "I don't know how you got in here Villain, but you've made a grave mistake! Give up now, even with a hostage it's still 21 against 1!", Suddenly Kecleon just onto his shoulder and angrily stuck out her tongue while squealing with rage! Idea backtrack and corrected himself saying, "Make that 22 against 1."
"Yeah, and our teachers are nearby! Just because they got beat once, doesn't mean it'll happen again so easily!", Mineta chimed in while hiding behind Shoji as his eyes gushed like torrents in fear.
"You think your theatrically loud entrance didn't alert them? They'll be here any minute!", Jiro warned him in a bold tone.
All Might paused as he rubbed his chin, after thinking it through he announced, "THEN, IN THAT CASE, I'LL JUST HAVE TO MOW YOU ALL DOWN IN THE SPARE TIME I HAVE!"
Within a moment All Might was upon them and had punched the air in front of them, causing a huge backdraft of air pressure that caused all the teens to be sent off their feet and get scattered across the area they were in! Bakugou was the first one back on his feet, and charged after All Might with heightened fury! He roared and screamed profanities as he tried to blast the huge man in his living body and not so huge face! But every time he did All Might would either dodge or block the attack! He eventually got an opening on the angry boy and kicked him in the stomach, sending him skywards!
Bakugou managed to stabilize himself mid-air before propelling himself down at him, readying a massive attack! But All Might saw this coming and held Gar's unconscious body in front as a shield! Though Bakugou remained undeterred by this and seeing this, All Might changed his maneuver and used Gar as a flail! Hitting Bakugou far off to the side as he laughed and vexed him!
From there the students began to randomly attack him with no planning or coordination. All of them jumping in one after the other or even two at a time. Some of them even tried to grab Gar so the more destructive heroes wouldn't accidentally hurt him or have him used as a meat shield. Though not going they did seem to work as individuals or in a small group.
Iida tried to flank him, but All Might simply punch the ground, making it too unstable for him to run. Momo tried to create something to help but only ended up getting kicked before she could. Shoji, Kirishima, and Sato attempted to engage hand to hand, but even with one hand, All Might beat them away!
When Bakugou finally got back up to fight, he ended up getting swatted away yet again. Tsuyu, Sero, and Kecleon tried to grab Gar, but All Might always pull him out of the way or dodged. Everyone else who was too destructive or crowdlike stood back in the face of danger and hurt Gar.
Izuku and Gengar were the only ones who worked together with some precision. Gengar became distracting due to being unable to be touched, while Izuku attempted to overpower him with well-placed Smash shots! The two of them even attempted to grab Gar a few times in-between attacks but didn't succeed. Eventually, All Might got tired of this cat and mouse game, and quickly put a stop to it. He slammed his fist on the ground, kicking up dust, and once they were distracted, All Might punched the air in front, creating a shock wave of pressure that sent only Izuku flying!
He screamed as he was launched off his feet and nearly into some boulders until Gengar appeared behind him and cushioned his blow! Izuku heaved heavily as Gengar gently held him up, and the boy's mind and body raced with stress and pain! Uraraka runs up to check on him, and when she sees he's alright, due to the smile he gives her, she lets out a sigh of relief. She looks back at the few students still fighting, and losing, sucking air through her grit teeth she said to him, "It's no use, we're getting our butts kicked!"
Izuku frantically looks around at his classmates still trying to fight, with a mind buzzing with several thoughts, and none cohesive. Though one thing does stick out and he calls out to everyone near enough to hear him, "Everyone! Stay strong, we just have to hold out till Eraserhead and Thirteen get here!"
After he said this, a voice asked from behind him, "IS THAT SO?"
Izuku froze up at the sound of the voice so close by, he dared to turn his head enough to see the masked face of All Might staring down at him, only inches from his face! He gasped at the sight and tried to stumble away alongside Gengar and Uraraka, who were also taken by surprise! All Might reeled back his fist, ready to punch, and Izuku squeezed his eyes shut in fear!
Though the punch never came as a white cloth suddenly shot out of nowhere, grabbing his arm and wrenching it in the other direction! All eyes turned in the direction of the cloth and saw Eraserhead standing far back on a pile of rocks, glaring down at the small group with his quirk activated!
"Hold it!", He shouts as he yanks hard and pulls All Might away from the teens and nearly off his feet!
"Sensei!", The near entirety of 1-A shouts in relief and joy.
"Thank God!", Izuku sighed while leaning back into Gengar.
All Might caught his footing, coming to a dust-kicking halt, and pulling back on the capture device he said aloud and boisterously, "OH-HO! SO THE HEROES WANT TO PLAY AS WELL? THEN LET'S PLAY!"
All Might pulled Eraserhead towards him, but he jumped so he wouldn't be thrown off his feet. He unhooks All Might and then hooks onto a boulder to guide his descent. Once on the ground he shot out two streams of his captured weapon and hooked an arm and leg on All Might before pulling hard! All Might be almost knocked off his feet until he doubled forward and created a whole length of slack that All Might used against Eraserhead!
Once he grabbed enough he threw it like streamers around the tired man and ended up wrapping him in his scarf! Eraserhead tried to wiggle free but it was no use. All Might yanked and tightened the bonds around him before pulling him in with a prepared punch! But before he could make contact, two things happened at once!
Eraserhead was suddenly pulled off to the side by an unknown force, leaving All Might confused and wide open from an attack that hit into the side of his face! His assailant retreated for a moment, giving All Might a chance to recover.
As he shook off the blow to his face, a voice called out, "Stop it right now!"
All Might looked off to the direction of the new voice and saw Thirteen stand next to Eraserhead and Persian! While Eraser was already halfway freed from his capture device. It must've been Thirteen who pulled Eraser out of the way before he struck, and gave Persian the opportunity to blindside him.
All Might stood in front of them while cracking his neck and stated, "OH! ANOTHER ONE? HOW FUN."
All Might jumped forward and smashed the ground in front of the heroes and Pokemon! But they all managed to jump back in time before getting the brunt of it! However, they did get somewhat scraped up from the kicked-up rocks and dust, which was taken away by Thirteen. She sucked the cover in front of them just in time to see All Might lunging again! But this time they were prepared.
Persian shot out a Power Gem attack, making All Might cover himself, followed by A combo of Eraser turning off his quirk, Thirteen using her full suction to pull All Might towards them, and then Eraserhead using his capture weapon to snare and use the momentum to thrown All Might into a boulder a few yards away! Eraserhead stood back to hold All Might while Thirteen and Persian ran after him. Once near, All Might broke free of his restraints and was about to throw another air pressure punch at Eraser, when Persian lunged out in front and slashed at his arm! All Might dish easily, but it made him open enough for Thirteen to show up and stick her finger near his head, making him freeze.
"Stop it! Seriously All Might, this isn't a game!", She yelled at him.
All Might panicked at his name and in a low tone told her, "HEY, KEEP IT DOWN WILL YA. WE CAN'T LET THE STUDENTS KNOW."
Though Thirteen did not look pleased with his response, especially when he followed it up with, "BY THE WAY, YOU GUTS ARE DOING A PLUS ULTRA JOB OF ACTING. KEEP IT UP.", He told them with a small thumbs-up, making them all glare at him.
As he said this, he didn't notice as Persian was circling him through the exchange. When he saw the opening, he lunged from behind, slashing at his back! "OW! NOT THE CLAWS!", All Might cried out as Persian jumped on him again and this time sunk his teeth into his shoulder.
He then stamped his foot on the ground, sending Thirteen off her feet and even knocking Persian loose! From there he took off towards Thirteen but stopped when her suit opened one of its finger ports and took off to the side! From there he fell towards Eraser, where he was bound once more and kicked in the neck!
Eraserhead tightened his grip and exclaimed, "We aren't playing, this is serious!"
All Might was about to break free when Thirteen jumped him from behind and wrapped her arms around his neck while exclaiming, "It's a huge misunderstanding!"
All Might paused at this for a moment and looked off to the side, as if deep in thought. The two heroes and Pokemon relaxed in relief at seeing some sense finally hit their normally thick-headed coworker. But this relief was soon shed very quickly as All Might followed up by saying, "HA! I ALMOST BELIEVED YOU THERE. BUT SORRY, I GOTTA TAKE YOU BOTH DOWN."
"No, wait!", Thirteen tried to stop him, only to be cut off as All Might broke free once more.
Before Thirteen could react, All Might gave her a hit to the stomach, causing her to double over and pass out! All Might then used his free hand to grab Eraserhead's scarf and used it against him. He pulls and throws him around in the air before releasing him to fly through the air and eventually crash into the side of a hill! Persian ran up to him moments later, trying to revive him by licking his face.
Erasure was just barely conscious after his crash and managed to squeak out, "Persian.", the cat stopped licking his face and let the man speak, only able to say before passing out completely, "Go for it."
His head fell back, his body relaxed, and Eraser was now out of commission. Persian turned his now snarling angry face towards All Might and ran with blinding speed towards the man!
All Might laughed at this and wiggling his finger he vexed, "HERE KITTY KITTY KITTY."
Persian roared at this and ran up a small incline before jumping off and falling towards All Might with claws out and on the ready! Though All Might planned for this and held out Gar like a meat shield in front of himself! Persian flinched and immediately put his claws away! Once his guard was down, All Might punched the Pokemon in the gut before grabbing it and throwing it towards the teens where he fell with swirls in his eyes!
"WELL THAT'S THEM TAKEN CARE OF.", All Might stated boastfully and gloatingly at seeing his handy work before turning back to the spread-out students and saying menacingly, "NOW THEN. WHERE WAS I?"
As he said this, the floor under his feet began to freeze over. All Might look around and not too far away was Todoroki with the first half of his quirk activated. The area around the teen was already crisp and his breath could be easily seen. With his arm up and his eyes cold he glared down at All Might with frigid intent.
"I think you were dealing with me.", the teen told him as he collected his power to attack, pulling his arm back in preparation.
"Todoroki! NO!", Izuku cried out to stop his friend, but it was too late.
Todoroki had already released his ultimate attack at All Might, swallowing him up in a sea of ice within an instant! Once the ice fog dropped a bit, revealing a frost-bitten Todoroki, there was also nothing but a huge ice sheet where All Might once stand, but now there was nothing. The students sighed with relief, but also felt a surge of panic when they realized that the villain was still holding Gar! However, before they could act on this info, the ice started to crack before eventually breaking like a cheap glass window! From there the imposing figure of All Might burst forth from the ice with only a slight chill on his skin.
Once fully free he laughed and announced, "I SAW THAT TRICK AT THE SPORTS FESTIVAL! I'M NOT SO SUPID TO FALL OR EVEN BE TRAPPED BY THAT!"
All Might rushed forward ready to punch Todoroki, who stood firm and calm! He tried to attack with another wave of ice, but All Might dodged that one with ease! All Might was almost on him and Todoroki activated his Fire half to fight, but before he could let loose, All Might was already on him, making the teen freeze up!
"CHECK MATE!", All Might slowly growled in victory.
Todoroki saw everything go in slow motion before him! The cold expressionless mask on All Might, the first coming closer and closer to making contact with his face, and the feeling of his whole body getting so scared that he could move even though he wanted to run! Before the punch could make contact with his face, a blinding blue light burst forth from Todoroki's hip, making Al Might shut his eyes at the sudden shift! While his eyes were shut and still trying to make contact with Todoroki, All Might felt something grab his arm and use the momentum to force it to the ground!
The punch hit the dirt but kicked up a huge cloud of dust and debris on the teen, in addition to being completely knocked off his feet from the excess pressure alone! When the dust settled and everyone looked back to the sight of the battle, there they saw All Might with his fist driven into the ground, Todoroki flung a few yards away, and a very familiar Pokemon who was using its tail hands to grab and hold down All Might's arm!
"Ambipom?!", Uraraka exclaimed as she recognized the Pokemon glaring daggers at the man.
All Might be shocked and surprised to see the Pokemon suddenly apparel before him and then managed to reroute his own attack into the dirt! Which Gave Ambipom a chance to try and grab Gar with his rarely used main arms. However, those arms were extremely weak and had no muscle while All Might still had an iron strength grip on him. All Might picked up and immediately threw the Pokemon off his arm after freeing it from the dirt! Ambipom flew through the air but managed to catch himself on a nearby rock and guide himself back to the ground. Ambipom then ran to Todoroki's side and after seeing him okay, he slammed on the ground and screamed while chucking small rocks at All Might, which did nothing but annoy him.
All Might regarded this new fighter as he stated, "HMMMM. I DIDN'T KNOW YOU HAD ONE. BUT IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE! ALSO-.", he said the last part ominously before reaching back and grabbing Dark Shadow by its head! He turned his head to both the quirk and its user before saying with a criminally threatening tone, "DID YOU THINK YOU COULD BLIND SIDE ME AGAIN?"
"Shoot.", said Tokoyami in a deadpanned voice.
"Uh-oh.", squeaked Dark Shadow.
Suddenly the bird boy was swept off his feet and flung into the air while being spun around and around! Even though Tokoyami was the one getting spun into near unconsciousness, Dark Shadow is the one screaming like a girl! After a few more fast spins, All Might released the quirk from his grip and sent the two flying off into the sky like a bola! Everyone watched in horror as the bird headed boy and his quirk sailed higher and higher into the sky before gravity took hold and they both started their descent back down!
Everyone screamed in fright at this and no one knew what to do as it looked like even Tokoyami had been knocked out due to the spin cycle from All Might! But then something happened as he started to descend. A blue light emerged around him and a huge black shadow flew out and away from where Tokoyami was falling! The students and All Might tried to follow this flying thing, taking to make heads or tails of what it was.
Then they saw it, trailing behind the huge shadow, none other than Dark Shadow trailing behind the flying thing like the tail of a kite. The quirk looked unconscious as he flailed about at the back, with no movement or anything. A thought crossed their minds and they thought that giant flying thing must've been Tokoyami himself! How this happened was completely unknown; a secret quirk, mutation, evolution? Then the shadow suddenly stopped in the air, floating in front of the sun, blinding both the students and All Might, giving it a chance to strike!
Without warning, blades made of air sailed down from the sky and rained upon All Might, who managed to dodge the attack even with the sun in his eyes! Once he was a safe distance from the attack, the shadow began to descend from its perch in the sky. Once on the ground, the whole class realized that it wasn't Tokoyami, it was a Pokemon that appeared from where he fell. A big bird Pokemon! Bigger than even All Might…..at least by an inch or so. Trailing behind it was the unconscious Dark Shadow who seemed to be connected to the Pokémon's back. For a brief minute, everyone thought that this Pokemon was Tokoyami! Then the real boy appeared from on its back looking quite dizzy.
Uraraka, who also recognized this Pokemon, exclaimed after realizing what was happening, "Now a Corviknight! What's going on here?!"
Kaminair joined in her statement and screamed to the class, "Does anyone else have a secret Pokemon?!"
All Might chuckled darkly and said, "MY MY! YOU LITTLE HEROES, ARE JUST FULL OF SURPRISES. BUT SURPRISES AREN'T GONNA HELP YOU IN THIS FIGHT! AND CERTAINLY NOT THESE CREATURES!"
All Might rushed towards Corviknight, but the bird activated Steel Wing and knocked him out of the way! All Might skidded over to the side and caught his footing before trying again, only this time the Pokemon wised up and flew off into the air before he could. Once Tokoyami had regained the equilibrium he took charge of the Pokemon and began to command him while also using his conscious quirk in tandem. Todoroki and Ambipom also joined the fight, providing distraction and ground support so All Might wouldn't be tempted into jumping towards Corviknight. However, this only proved a minor inconvenience for the man as he easily held all four of them off at the same time. If All Might wanted to, he would take them down quickly but did not so he wouldn't kill his masquerade.
Uraraka, who was still by Izuku's side, took note of All Might not being remotely hinged by them, said to him in worry, "Oh Deku, what are we gonna do?! Ambipom and Corviknight can't hold off that villain forever. And none of us can get a good hit on him, especially with Gar still in there."
Izuku growled in frustration as he grabbed his hair and exclaimed while trying to think, "I know, I know! I just have to-wait, is that-?", Izuku suddenly drawled off when he looked up and into the fight.
Out in the open was a small shiny object that the teen immediately recognized. Seeing some kind of chance for them, he looked to the Pokemon still supporting him, and commanded, "Gengar, go grab that!"
Gengar looked out to where Izuku was pointing and saw the object. He nodded and sank to the ground. The Pokémon's hand appeared under the object and pulled it into the shadow. Gengar reappeared in front of Izuku and handed him the object, which he held out for Uraraka to see. Though she wasn't as excited about his discovery when she saw it in person.
"It's just a Pokeball?", she stated with confusion and disappointment.
"It's one of Gar's Pokeballs. It must've fallen off during…everything.", Izuku explained to her while tightening his grip on it and staying with a hopeful prayer, "I hope it's a good one. GO!", he called out while throwing the Pokeball onto the field.
At his call and the sudden burst of light, all heads swiveled towards him. Even Ambipom and Corviknight backed off a bit for this new arrival. The ball popped open and out came a truly bizarre-looking creature. It was a bipedal Pokémon with a round body and a thick, powerful tail. It has soft, pink skin with curved yellow lines on its belly and a yellow ring marking on each knee. It has a thumb-like claw on each hand and a single large nail on each foot. There is a yellow spot on its palms and the soles of its feet. It has beady eyes and the moment it opened its closed mouth, out spilled a long prehensile tongue.
Everyone takes their heads in the confusion of this new creature's appearance, all except Momo who shared no one's sentiment and instead screamed and cried out, "GAH! It's an Akaname!"
"No, it's Lickitung the Licking Pokemon. Its tongue is several times the length of its body and uses it to paralyze its food before swallowing it whole.", Izuku explained with excitement in his voice.
Sero made a disgusted skeeved-out sound while shivering and said, "Gross. But how is that gonna help us?"
"Yeah, what's a long tongue, pink, snake thing gonna do? Lick the evil out of him?", Mina agreed while adding a side of sarcastic sass.
"That's just it.", Izuku confirmed while rising to his feet with help.
"Huh?", the pink girl asked him with a neutrally surprised expression.
Izuku pointed towards All Might and commanded, "Lickitung, use Lick!"
Lickitung swallowed back its tongue and then shot it out at a super-fast speed! Even though it happened faster than the naked eye, All Might was far faster and only had to move slightly to the side to dodge!
He laughed and then openly gloated, "HA! YOU MISSED!"
"Now Constrict!", Izuku quickly followed up.
Lickitung blindsided the huge man and bent its tongue to quickly wrap it around his huge body! Before All Might could think of it, he was bound up and being hauled into the air with ease!
"OH SHIT.", All Might cursed in quiet surprise as he was turned upside down.
"Now slam him down!", Izuku cried out and the Pokemon whipped its tongue to send the man crashing to the ground!
All Might hit the ground fast with an astounding BOOM! Kicking up both dust and rock in all directions! For a moment it almost seems like that did the trick as All Might didn't suddenly appear from the dust cloud with the ready-to counter-attack. Some of the students even began to cheer for their seeming victory!
"Alright Deku-kun, you got him!", Uraraka cheered while hugging the boy in excitement, making him turn bright red.
However, their celebration was cut short when the booming voice called out from the cloud, stating in relief, "HUMP! ALMOST GOT ME THERE."
Immediately all sounds of victory had gone dead silent as the dust settled and revealed All Might doing a one-armed handstand! The mad man had freed one arm during his descent and managed to catch his headlong fall into solid stone, only leaving an imprint of his hand in the ground.
Without missing a beat, and seeing a chance, Izuku commanded, "Grab Gar!"
Lickitung shot its tongue out once more and tried to make garb for the unconscious teen in the disguised hero's hands. Once again All Might dodged the attack and countered it just as quickly!
He grabbed the tongue in his free hand and boastfully exclaimed, "HA! GOTTACHA! AS IF YOU COULD…..", he paused halfway through his gloating and then suddenly threw away the tongue while whipping his hand around and crying out, "EW EW EW EW EW EW EW! I FORGOT THAT WAS ITS TONGUE!"
With this distraction, the other two pokemon on the scene were able to make their moves against him. Ambipom attacked from behind, raking his back with Shadow Claw. While Corviknight attacked from the side with the Steel Wing. The attack was fast and strong but not enough to knock the man off his feet! He skidded off still being attached to Corviknight's wing before grabbing the Pokemon and throwing it away! Where it recentered itself and flew back into the air and out of reach.
Now All Might was getting aggravated and the angry glimmer in his mask showed it on full display for the whole class to see! He tightened his free hand into a fist as a huge amount of pressure was exerted from his body, making everyone cover themselves or brace from the impact of it!
He growled and exclaimed, "OKAY NO MORE GAMES! FIRST THE PINK ONE GOES, THEN THE REST OF YOU!"
He then raced towards Lickitung and readied a punch that would one-shot the now-scared Pokemon! However, Izuku was still on the ball with battling and shouted out as quickly as he could, "Lickitung, use Protect!"
Lickitung managed to react just in time and crossed its arms to form a near-transparent shield made of mysterious energy! All Might punched the shield with full force but neither it nor the Pokemon bugged! All Might gave another punch and the shield cracked! He gave it one more punch, actually managing to withstand the attack before Lickitung lost its concentration and fell backward as the shield broke!
"GOTCHA!", All Might exclaimed with another punch at the ready.
However, yet again, Izuku and Lickitung reacted quickly and got lucky as he called out, "Roll out!"
All Might punched the ground but Lickitung had already used its backward momentum to roll back and just out of the way in time before the punch could land! Getting away yet again by sheer luck alone! Once out of range, Lickitung rolled back towards All Might and tried to knock him off his feet with the attack, but only slightly bruising him! He even tried to jump and plow the man in his body, but that did little to nothing as well.
After Lickitung hit him with its last roll, he commented aloud, "FAST!", but as Lickitung rolled back towards him, he noted how the Pokemon was begging to slow down and took his chance. He then brought his foot back in preparation and once the Pokemon had rolled back, he followed up saying, "BUT NOT FAST ENOUGH!", and kicked the Pokemon like a ball!
Lickitung flew across the ground in the opposite direction, completely out of its control! It fell up a dirt ram before falling back down to the earth with a THUD! The Pokemon was laying down in the dirt with a struggling expression on its bruised body!
Izuku gasped at this and cried out, "Lickitung, are you okay?!"
Lickitung managed to prop itself back onto his feet with a painfully exhausted expression, but fell back onto all fours where he shot out his tongue and made an angry-sounding cry at All Might! And right after that, a blue light began to illuminate the Pokémon's whole body!
"Its-its evolving!", Uraraka stated in wide-eyed shock.
Lickitung grew larger and round when immersed in the light, and once it died down, Lickitung looked a whole lot different than before! Lickitung was now a shade of dark pink, rotund with a small tail and a long tongue. It has a yellow line pattern on its belly and a white bib-like pattern, making it almost resemble a baby boy. It also has what appears to be a curled appendage on its head. This new form just looked like it had a big appetite.
"Lickitung evolved into Lickilicky!", Izuku cried out in amazement and excitement.
Though that statement was not shared by the rest of the class who looked on at the newly formed Pokemon with differing expressions ranging from disappointment to disgust and anticlimax.
Mineta said it best, and what everyone else was thinking, and exclaimed aloud, "Dear God, it got fatter….and uglier."
Lickilicky did not take kindly to that remark and without even turning his head to him, stuck out his tongue and quickly slapped him across the face, covering the small boy in more drool than what was possible, even for a creature of its size.
Izuku painfully sucked in air at this and called out to him in warning, "Careful Mineta, its saliva causes rashes and numbness if you don't get it off! Plus it has some corrosive elements!"
Mineta paused for a minute to absorb this info, then promptly began to freak out. He screamed at first and started to try and shake or scrape off the drool with his hands! When that didn't work he began to roll around in the dust! When that was unsatisfactory he grabbed the nearest thing to wipe himself off in a panic! Unfortunately, the nearest thing was also Ayona's cape, much to the boy's chagrin and disgust as he tried to pull away!
All Might threw his head back and bellowed out a mighty evil laugh as he exclaimed, "YOU THINK CHANGING FORM IS GONNA HELP YOU AND YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING, LITTLE HEROES?!"
Lickilicky stood at the ready, coming to Izuku's side, as the young teen clenched his fists in frustration, before saying with a determined expression, "Maybe not, but we're still gonna give it all we got! Ready Lickilicky!"
Lickilicky shot out his tongue and made a challenging sound at the question, while All Might got into a fighting stance with his grip just as tight on Gar! Signaling round two was now about to begin.
