It took me a while to figure how I was going to do things. I was not sure about how things should go with Selena meeting Brom and her family again. I'm not fully happy with the chapter but I am posting it so those who follow this story do not have to wait any longer.

Eragon and Arya walked into the area that the village was hiding. They had Selena behind then with her hood up and she had her head bowed. Eragon had told Saphira what was going on and that Selena did not know who he was. She knew Arya was an elf but not one of four free riders facing Galbatorix.

Eragon asked both Saphira and Firnin to go farther back in the woods. He also asked her to pass the word not to identify him or Arya by name, that they were bringing someone back with them.

Eragon saw Brom along with his uncle, Roran and Katrina standing over by Jara. He led the way.

Once he stood before his family he spoke, with Arya stopped short, keeping a distance so Eragon could explain without Selena hearing too much.

"The person under the hood has allowed their mind to be entered by my companion to determine their identity and the truth of their story." explained Eragon.

I ask that you let them tell their story before you say anything. It will be a shock to both you Brom and Garrow."

"Ok, lad we will hear them out, though I am curious as why us." Garrow replied.

"The person under the hood does not know who Arya and I are. As for why you, you will understand in a minute. I would like to keep my identification a secret for now. I need time to process the information I learned. Once you find out who they are Arya and I will finish helping the villiagers before we meet up with the dragons. They also guest Arya was an elf but we did not confirm it." Eragon whispered quietly enough for Selena not to here from where she was standing with Arya.

Everyone nodded their understanding before waving Arya forward with Selena. "You may remove your hood now."

Selena lowered her hood and looked into the faces of her husband and brother for the first time in over 16 years. They both had a look of shock and disbelieve on their faces. She looked at her nephew who had a look of curiosity along with the young woman holding his hand.

To say Brom and Garrow were surprised was an understatement, they were in shock. "Hello Brom, Hello brother."

"Selena, how? How is this possible?" asked a shocked Garrow.

"Galbatoric's soldiers captured me. I tried to fake my death so I could return but I was found out. Brom."

"You really are alive." asked Brom.

"Yes, I have been held as a prisoner ever sense. Murtagh finally freed me when I started starving myself. I could not live like that any longer." Selena told them.

"So you are my aunt?" asked Roran who just figured out who she was.

"Yes, I am. The last time I saw you, you were just barely two. You were a rambunctious little boy." turning to Brom "Where is Eragon? Murtagh said he was a rider."

Brom made a quick glance over to where the villagers were adding the last of the stuff, they could not carry with them to the wagons so Eragon could hide it all in a pocket dimension and take it to the Varden. Arya was putting spells on all the animals.

"He is currently on a mission. He will be with the Varden once we all arrive. You can speak with him then. Though I am not sure if he will be happy to see you. I don't know his feelings on you leaving him with Garrow. He had a good life, but he has not had you in it and may not know how to process your return." explained Brom.

"I understand. I will give him the time he needs."

Ronan spoke up." I'm sure his girlfriend will help him. Even if the two won't admit to liking the other." this got a laugh from the others.

"What, Brom."

"There might be someone but neither of them will say anything. So, Roran you might want to be careful of what you say. My understanding is she laid you out and threated to kill you the first time you met because you punched Eragon. You might want to be carefull of what you say. She might just finish what she started" explained Brom.

This led to everyone that was there laughing and Katrina explaining their first meeting with Eragon and his elf.

"She seems like she cares for my son. All I care is that he is happy." Selena replied with a little sorrow at not knowing her youngest.

They all talked for a little while about what had been happing in Carvahall over the years. Selena was happy to learn who Katrin's mother was, sense Ismera had been her best friend growing up.

Eragon had just finished the spell. Arya had already sent the animals on their way.

Turning to Horst "We will leave you now but won't be too far off till we are sure you are safely away. Jara can protect you from any ships the Empire sends after you. We will be watching for other threats."

"What other threat should we worried about, Eragon."

Arya spoke up. "It is always possible the king could send Murtagh and Thor after you or the Ra'zac as well. Both Eragon and I with our dragons are more than a match for either threat. You should not worry too much."

"Thank you both for all that you have done. The villagers are grateful for you saving the rest of their stuff and their animals. They already had to lose so much. It means a lot to them that you did this for them."

"They do not need to thank us. We are just glad we could help."

"That may be, but they are still grateful. They will also not give out your identities to the person you brought back with you. Who is she, anyway?"

"My mother. She has been a prisoner all these years." Explained Eragon.

At seeing Horst expression Arya explained "Eragon is still processing things. It was a big shock and needs time before confronting his mother."

"I understand and will pass the word. Your secret is safe with us."

Elaina walked up. "The woman of the village put together some food you both could eat. I know what the two of you will say but it is done. Be safe and we will see the two of you in a month or so."

They thanked Horst's wife before saying their fare wells. They headed into the woods so they could meet up with the dragons.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I need time to process all this. I never expected her to be alive. It doesn't help that she tried to starve herself. She had by that time already heard of me being a rider and fighting to save the lands. You would think it would give her more reason to hold on."

They continued their walk in silence. Arya understood his point. She, herself still had not forgiven her own mother for the 70 years of banishment.

Eragon and Arya were upon their dragons watching the port outside the walls of Teirm. They were high enough to see most of the city and beyond. After it got dark They notice a fog starting to roll in. It wasn't heavy but they figured that they could help it along with a little magic.

After a few minutes the fog got heavier. Hopefully it would obscure the guards view of the docks from the walls.

Close to midnight Eragon and Arya using their ability to see thru the dragon's eyes watched as the villagers started making their way to the ship.

Eragon and Saphira were watching the villagers while Arya and Firnin watch the ship.

"They have taken the ship. There is also a small group coming from the city. I would guess the families of the sailors helping."

"The villiagers are just reaching the docks. Brom and Jara are flying above them."

"Have they seen us yet?" Arya asked.

"I do not know but I don't think so. We never told him we would be staying around."

"Are we going after the Ra'zac when we are done here?" Arya asked while looking to where Eragon and Saphira were at.

"Little one, looks like the guards heard something or the fog has cleared enough for them to see the villagers." Saphira informed them all.

All four looked to see and notice more movement on the wall. There were no alarms as of yet but that may change at any moment.

"Arya get your bow out, you and Firnin follow us in. If we can kill the guards before, they sound the alarm it will give the villagers more time to finish loading."

The 2 dragons defended as quietly as possible. Eragon and Arya started letting lose arrows as soon as they got close enough. They coordinated their attack so if any of the guards were close enough to see another get killed, then neither of them would be able to sound the alarm.

Once they cleared to walls, they headed back to where they were flying so they could keep an eye on things. When they got back on station the last of the villagers had boarded the ship. They watched those working as deck crew finish getting the ship ready. Jara had spotted them and head up to join them.

"I thought you all would have left by now. Don't you need to get back?" Brom asked.

"We talked with Ajhad earlier. The Varden have all reached Surda. They are getting settled in best they can.

Ajhad did say that he was hearing the Empire may be massing an army to march south. He didn't believe it will be ready for another month.

Once you all are on your way we will be heading back to Helgrid to take care of the Ra'zac if we can. I'm worried if the king discovers what happen tonight he sends them after you. If so it could endanger the chances of the villiagers making it to safety." explained Arya.

"OK, just be carefull you four. The ship is pullng away from the docks with out any alarms going off. So hopefully we will be out to sea before anyone discovers the ship missing." Brom replied.

"I would say till the guards change out before anyone discovers what happen. We killed all the guards on the walls that were close to the docks. I'm sure the guards at the gate are also dead." explained Eragon.

At his father's questioning look Eragon explained what the observed and the actions they took. With a final Farwell Brom and Jara flew off after the Dragon Wing. Eragon, Arya and the dragons waited another hour before they too left.

It was just before sunrise and two dragons with their iders were circling Helgrid. They were making sure that there was no one around before they made their assualt on the mountain. They had seen the Ra'zac enter the mountain the night before and not leave.

"Little one, I do not see any humans within a mile of this dark place."

"OK Saphira, let's go. While you and Firnin deal with the Lethrblaka, Arya and I will hunt the Ra'zac. "

"Look the Lethrbaka are leaving with the Ra'zac on their backs. They seem to be heading northwest." Firnin called out.

Arya replied "You may be right Eragon. The king must be sending them to hunt the Dragon Wing."

"In the old timeline they were holding Katrina prisoner and were not able to chase after the villagers. This time they have no prisoners to watch. So, I guess they are being sent after the Villagers.

We will need to take them out before they reach the coast. It will be hard for Jara and Brom from keeping the Lethrbaka from splitting up and one destroying the ship while the other kept them busy."

"We can wait till they are a little farther from Dras-Leona. Then attack from above and behind." suggested Arya.

"OK Saphira, you and Firnin keep above them and follow far enough behind them, so we are not accidently spotted. We will wait for the sun to come up and attack then. They cannot see as well during the day. It's too bright for them."

They followed the two Lethrbaka for a few hours to make sure the sun was high enough. They were closing in on the coast when Eragon gave the command to attack.

Eragon and Arya both had their bows oon hand with several arrows ready. When they got close enough they both shoot off a couple arrows aiming for the Ra'zac.

Only one of Eragon's arrows hit as the Ra'zac moved at the last second. Leaving the Ra'zac wounded. Both Arya's arrows hit killing her target.

The Lethrbaka tried to evade any further attacks bit there was nothing they could do. The dragons had better position.

The two dragons let loose a stream of fire hitting both Lethrbaka. The second Ra'zac screamed out in pain before going silent. Both Lethrbaka were loosing altitude. Before they could try to lose the dragons in the trees, both dragons folded their wings to dive at the two.

They hit the Lethrbaka with a great deal of force. The dragons latched onto the Lethrbaka and started tearing them apart while their riders' shot arrows at the Lethrbaka.

The two Lethrbaka were dead just shy of the coast. Once they were dead the dragons let them fall into the ocean. Saphira and Firnin both then climbed back higher in the sky.

Eragon was glad the Ra'zac and their parents were dead, he knew there were at least two more eggs in Dras-Leoan being kept by the cult there.

"Let's follow the coast a bit and see if we see the ship. Head towards the island of Sharktooth. We can also make there are no warships leaving Kausta in pursuit of the Dragon Wing."

It was a hour later they spotted the Dragon Wing. They did not see any ships leaving Kausta. Both Eragon and Arya thought that might be because Galbatorix does not know of what happen to the Ra'zac yet. Both believe it could be a few days before he knows. By then the Villiagers well be well on their way and too far south for any ships to catch them. Eragon had them turn around and follow the coast towards Feinster. They would check to make sure that there were no ships that could poses a threat to the Dragon Wing.

On the deck of the Dragon Wing Roran was keeping watch when he spotted two dots in the sky near the coast go by then turn around and start flying south. One looked blue and the other green. They were far enough away he couldn't see them clearly but he figured it was his cousin and Arya.

Garrow came up to his son who seem to be watching something in the distance. "See something son?"

"I thought I saw Eragon and Arya flying by. They were two far away to be sure, but I thought I saw some blue and green from the dragons." replied an uncertain Ronan.

"May have been them. I know they were not planning on following us all the way, but they may be just making sure the first part of our trip is clear. We can ask them once we meet up with the Varden. Don't worry too much about it." Garrow than moved off th check up on the others that were helping on the ship.

Galbatorix sat on his throne in thought. He had learned of Selena's death a couple days ago and that Murtaug had taken his mother for burial. Now he learns that the Dragon Wing, which was being made ready to aid in the attack on Surda had been stolen during the night. He sent the Ra'zac after them but will not know anything for a few days.

Things were not going to his liking. Two new dragon riders have now appeared, and it seemed Oromis and Glaedr were still alive and have been hiding with the elves. He now faced 3 riders and their dragons. He was not worried too much about them, but it was concerning. What other surprises awaited him.

I hoped you liked what I came up with. As for Eragon's reaction and him not telling his mother who he is. Remember his mother was believed to be dead in both timelines. Also, during the tail she told Arys, Eragon learned his mother knew of him being a dragon rider but still was going to let herself die. instead of holding out for her son. He will talk with his mother later on and tell her about his feelings on this. I'm not sure how I am going to right it yet.

Eragon and Arya are together but have not become interment yet. While Arya knows she cares a great deal for Eragon it is hard for her to express it more than the small jesters she has shown him. Don't worry they will become mates soon.
