We were making cookies in the TARDIS kitchen.

I had just smacked Jack's hand when he tried to dip his finger, I turned around to see the Doctor licking the spoon.

My cell phone rang.

I answered it while shaking my head at the two spacemen.

"It's been 3 months!"

"Hi mum."

The boys froze and I laughed before clearing my throat, "How about we come for a visit?"

The visit went well.

CJ met his match when it came to my mum.

When we headed back I turned toward the Doctor.

"I'd like to kidnap Mickey for the Autumn Festival."

He shrugged, "He's your responsibility."

I gave my favourite brother a call, "You have the day off right?"

"Oy not even a hello?"

"Want to finally get back at me for your 14th?"

When Mickey had his party for his 14th year he had ignored me to play with his friends, even though I had made him a cake along with his gran. So my 12 year old self decided to stuff it into his face instead, the boys all went home covered in cake and Mickey's video game was cut short before he could have his win.

I could practically hear as Mickey leaned closer to the phone, "The food fight."

"Yep, but here's the catch..."

"When you said Traken, I thought we were going to Ireland!" Mickey shouted as we walked out onto a new planet.

Large boulder-like robots with moss growing upon their shoulders walked through the tropical brush. Tall stone monoliths rose high above our heads wrapped in moss and vines. Sparkling lanterns that glittered like stars were hung through the trees.

I smiled at Mickey, "Oh come on, I told you it was a trip in the TARDIS."

Jack walked out and swung an arm around my shoulder, "You never explained who the boy-toy is?"

"Oy that's my lil' brother you are talking about."

"Big brother!" Mickey shouted before calming his eyes widening as they took in the alien landscape, "So where exactly are we?"

The Doctor came out last, closing the door behind us, "Planet Traken, one of the three planets in the star system Mettula Orionsis."

I grinned at Mickey, "We are here for their Autumn Festival. The peaceful people of Trakken celebrate the day the leaves turn amber."

As we walked through the forest treeline we came upon tall towering gates, where a joyful song of hundreds filled the air.

The humanoid beings of the planet Traken were dressed in beautiful burgundy and amber velvets that matched the leaves that lined the walkways of their city.

"Doctor?" I looked at him and he pointed to the nearby fruit trees with lanterns lighting their leaves.

"First we help harvest."

Tall ladders were set up at the foot of the trees and I looked down at my clothes, grateful I decided on wearing pants today instead of the skirt combo the TARDIS had suggested for the last couple of weeks. She seemed to be very hung up on red lately. I looked down at my burgundy velvet blouse with the tassel frills at the bottom, I suppose she got her wish today.

Once we reached the top of the ladders they had the large robots standing below ready with large baskets. The fruit that was taken from the trees was fragrant and sweet and already very tender. They had to be handled gently so they wouldn't fall apart.

"Today is my day off, Rose."

I smiled over at Mickey who was to my left picking the fruits.

"The fun comes when the harvest ends and the singing stops."

"What happens then?"

I laughed and continued picking the sweet fruit from the trees, burgundy like the clothes of the people of its planet.

"Wait and see, but I promise you will get the first shot."

As I picked, I overheard Jack speaking to Mickey.

"Are you sure there's nothing between you two?"

"Friendzoned at five." Mickey chuckled.

"Rough."

"Nah, Rose is family. I don't think we would have worked out as anything else."

I smiled as I placed a couple more fruits in the robot held basket to my right.

The singing rose higher behind us.

"Now what?"

I looked to Mickey on my left and heard the Doctor on the other side of our tree answer.

"Now we wait for the consul to start it off."

We all got to the bottom of our ladders and strolled to where our groups baskets sat.

At the centre of the square were officials in long amber robes, they raised their arms each hand holding a tender fruit before the one with the tallest headdress threw a fruit at the other's face.

A cheer rose through the crowds surrounding us and each group around their own basket of fruit reached in and started throwing them at their neighbours.

Mickey's confusion dissolved. A grin brightened his features as he picked up a tender fruit and went up to me and smashed it into my face.

I licked my lips, the taste reminded me of the tenderness of a mango and tart sweetness of a Granny Smith apple.

I grabbed my own burgundy fruit and threw it at the Doctor who grinned as he threw my way.

Bright burgundy stained our faces and clothes.

"What about me?" Jack spoke, turning to the Doctor.

"Hey Jack!" I called him before throwing a large soft fruit at his face and he got a mouthful of the sweet fruit.

"Yum," honey-like juices and pulp splattered against his shirt.

I let out a squeal as Mickey yanked me back and put a smashed fruit down the back of my shirt.

"Oh no you don't!"

An epic battle of burgundy and amber erupted as Mickey and I chased Jack and the Doctor all over the main square.
