6. The Morning After (Morning Time)

Hey megumiai30 here! I present you with a new story about Chiba and Hayami, all married, and... well... This is a mid to high rated T, so please be on alert if this isn't your thing! Chiba and Hayami are married, and have been for one year while working together at the office. Enjoy!

Hayami opened her eyes gradually. When she took a look at her surroundings, she noticed that something was different, but she couldn't put her finger on it. She got her answer when she turned her body from her end of the bed to the center. She felt no clothes rustling: She only felt the blanket that she had been covering herself with come in contact with her bare skin, which was odd, since she wasn't someone to go to bed naked... Until she had reached the center of the bed. She bumped into a warm body, and that was when she realized what had happened.

Hayami was met with a man's face, but not just any man: This man's eyes were covered by his long bangs, which he grew out to do just that, because he knew that his ruby red eyes were able to intimidate people to the state that they would be scared of him. Knowing what had happened and all, her cheeks turned a little pink and sighed with a smile on her face. As she reminisced on what had happened the night before, her hand moved on its' own accord to caress his face.

She chuckled softly as she thought, 'He looks so cute the morning after...'

As she caressed his face, she carefully came in contact with his long bangs and after a while, Hayami decided to lift his bangs so she could lay a kiss on his closed eyelids. So, she went ahead and lifted Chiba's bangs to see that a pair of intimidating set of ruby red eyes were staring at her, albeit they were soft at her.

When she caught sight of those familiar red eyes, she was startled and her hand automatically reacted, retracting themselves from his face, but Chiba's hand reached out and caught her hand in the nick of time before they could go back entirely. He took her hand, and laid it on his bangs, encouraging her to finish what she started.

She stared at his long bangs questionably, to get a glimpse of those ruby red eyes that she had grown to love, and they were encouraging her, so she once again lifted his long bangs to come in clear contact with his eyes, and he purposely closed his eyes, and she laid a soft kiss on both of his eyelids. He chuckled, which was a rare thing for him to do publicly, but on the other hand, when the two were together like this not just when they had an intimate night with each other, they showed the secret sides of each other.

Chiba and Hayami enjoyed these moments with each other and more as they relished each other's touch on each other: Hayami stroking his cheek, and Chiba's gentle fingers immersing themselves in her soft hair, while the two were facing each other in close proximity. When they were in that situation, Hayami broke the silence by asking him a simple question,

"Hey, Ryunosuke? Did you ever imagine that we would be like this...?" She whispered, just loud enough so that he could hear what she said.

Chiba smiled and looked at her with soft eyes, and she saw that they were hidden by his long bangs once more, and so lifted them so she could stare at those red ruby eyes that other people said were too intimidating, but her...? She thought that they were gems for her and her only."If I say yes, will you be mad at me, Rinka?" He asked, his free hand tracing her perfect bare hip.

"Why would I be mad?" She asked perplexed.

Chiba gathered his thoughts until he was able to make out an answer to that, saying, "Well, it's because I've thought of doing this with you," He gestured to their naked state and blushed, and she blushed gracefully, and he continued, "Since we started going out in high school."

He looked down, not being able to stare at her straight in the eye, because it was a little embarrassing. But what he got in return was a soft kiss from her, who reached up and cupped his cheeks. The two deepened the kiss and Chiba's arms made their way to her waist, and the two caressed each other's bare skin quite intimately. They fell into the moment, but after they broke apart, Hayami looked at the clock to see that it was already 10'o clock and scrambled her way out of the bed and putting on some clothes. But she was stopped by a hand on her wrist.

He asked, "Wait, Rinka! What's the matter?"

She looked back and nearly panicked, "Ryuunosuke, have you forgotten? It's Hinata-chan's baby shower today!"

Chiba nodded and his mouth gaped, he couldn't believe that he had nearly forgotten that little fact. He just thought that since it was Saturday, that they had absolutely nothing on their otherwise busy schedules and they were free to just lounge around in their bed all day. Oh well...

Hayami had started to get dressed as she came out from the shower in the bathroom of their room. When Chiba sat up and walked to the bathroom itself, he caught sight on an elegant ring that was on her ring finger as she was dressing up properly. He smiled at the sight of the ring and looked down at his ring finger to see that he didn't have it on and felt a little embarrassed. He tried to put his ring that he left on the bedstand beside the lamp without her noticing, but he heard that she stopped dressing and felt her stare on him.

When he looked back at her, she was wearing a disapproving face, but she said playfully, "Mr. Chiba, I thought I told you to always put on your ring..."

He finally put his ring on, and he chuckled, "Well, Mrs. Chiba... I'm terribly sorry about that... You know how uncomfortable it can be..." He trailed off, truly being sorry.

She saw his apologetic face and hugged him. He returned her hug, and the husband and wife stayed like that, until Hayami broke the hug and commented, "Well, I'll go and prepare breakfast. You, on the other hand might want to wash up and put on some clothes," She chuckled softly with a faint blush, and he sheepishly agreed, nodding.

As Chiba and Hayami were busy with what they had to do, the two thought that the morning after such intimate nights was a marvelous thing, given that everything else came in order as well, as the old saying went:

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage...

When Chiba thought about said saying, he blushed at the thought of a baby with Hayami, while Hayami smiled at the thought of having a baby with her husband. They were only twenty-three, and if Kami-sama blessed them, they knew that the last saying would come true.
