Felix
Once again, the castle was in chaos. This time it was happy chaos. We had a wedding for Master Demetri and Mistress Bella to plan. He sure had waited long enough to ask her.
Bella chose to have invitations hand addressed on the royal stationery so the royal calligrapher was busier than he had been in centuries.
Marcus had agreed eagerly when Bella asked him to walk her down the aisle. He had become like a surrogate father to Bella going back to my earliest memories of the two together. He was always teaching, guiding, and helping her in her new life. Even now that Bella was a Queen they spent a lot of time together, just talking about the castle and its inhabitants.
I had agreed to be the Best Man. Demetri and I worked closely together and we still had boys nights with the men on the Elite guard. It was nice to have a king who knew the inner workings of the guard. He knew what we needed and I never had to ask twice for something that would better them. Caius and Jasper were supposed to be groomsmen. I was somewhat surprised that Caius agreed as eagerly as Jasper did. Caius rarely participated actively in the celebrations that were held in the castle. Apparently he was as happy for the couple as the rest of us were.
Jane was Bella's Maid of Honor. Didyme and Chelsea were her bridesmaids.
The men had gone for tux fittings in the style Bella had chosen. We had a great time. We all chuckled when he told us that Bella had accepted before he had finished the proposal. It was so like Bella.
The seamstresses were having a field day creating the perfect gown for Bella and her entourage. During their dress fittings chatter and laughter echoed through the castle. Didyme's gift of bringing happiness was just a bonus for our always-happy Bella.
Of course, this was too much happiness to not have a shadow. I got a report from our spies that Esme Platt formerly Esme Cullen had created an immortal child. I did what I knew the couple would want and took the report to Demetri and Bella.
Bella looked so incredibly sad when she heard the news that I regretted not taking care of it without her knowledge. Demetri comforted her. "I always hoped Esme would come around and we could be friends," Bella said. "Would you please have Alec go on this mission Felix? For the sake of what we once were to each other, I can at least give her a painless death." I couldn't resist the urge to comfort Bella too. She and Didyme were the heart of the castle, something we had been in need of for centuries but hadn't acknowledged till we had it. "Alec will be going on this mission. I won't ask Jasper to go but I was thinking of sending Chelsea as backup. Perhaps she can break the ties that hold them together so it's less painful for them.
"Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Felix," Demetri said.
I bowed and left Bella to be comforted by Demetri. The woman had once been a mother figure to Bella.
Chelsea and Alec left the castle immediately, only packing spare cloaks to take with them. Esme was a loss to the vampire world. Our spy, Emmett thought so too. He was sobbing when he called to give me the report but we all knew what had to be done.
Bella was quiet for a few days but Demetri took her for a drive to parts unknown and when she came back she was back to her old self.
The only wedding tradition that was omitted from the celebrations was the bachelor and bachelorette parties. Bella asked us to make it a celebration of everyone taking part in the wedding and we decided to go to the club. Bella even got a little tipsy.
The day of the wedding dawned sunny. It was lucky that our guests had all arrived early. The wedding would take place in the ballroom with the reception taking place spread out all over the gardens. Demetri had convinced Bella that the world's covens had to be invited because of his station. I didn't doubt that it was a challenging negotiation but in the end, Demetri won.
Aro was performing the ceremony and stood proudly beside Demetri at the end of the aisle.
Demetri
I waited for my love to meet me at the end of the aisle. I expected to be nervous but I wasn't. I was excited. I saw Jane start up the aisle but my eyes were only for Bella. She stepped out and everyone in the audience stood and bowed. If Bella could have blushed, she would have. Her eyes found mine at the end of the long aisle and it was up to Marcus to keep Bella walking slowly up the aisle. She looked as if she wanted to run to me at vampire speed. I smiled and her face lit up for me in a huge smile.
Marcus stopped at the dais and allowed Bella to take the last few steps alone. She was stunning. Her dress was encrusted with crystals on the bodice. She shone brightly. As the covens of the world looked on Aro said, "We gather together today to watch as these two soulmates, Demetri and Isabella Volturi, commit themselves to each other in holy matrimony. Demetri you have written vows to say to Isabella?"
"Yes. Bella from the moment I saw you I was yours. I will walk beside you through life, loving and cherishing you every moment of every day. I will guide you when necessary, follow when possible, and my love for you will grow stronger every day of our eternity."
"Isabella you have vows for Demetri?"
"Yes. Demetri, you've taught me what love really is. You've taught me to be strong when I thought I was weak, to stand on my own two feet, and that it's ok to lean on your strength when that's not possible. Every day I love you more. I will walk hand in hand with you every day of our eternity.
Aro said, "The ring is a symbol of eternity with no beginning and no end. Demetri, put your ring on Isabella's finger."
"I love you," Bella whispered as I slipped the ring on her finger.
"Isabella put your ring on Demetri's finger."
"I love you too," Demetri whispered.
"As one of the rulers of our world I now pronounce you husband and wife. Demetri you may kiss your bride."
I took Bella in my arms and kissed her fiercely. She kissed me back with all the passion she had in her, which was considerable.
"May I present to you for the first time, Demetri and Isabella Volturi." Aro said and the crowd cheered.
The guests lined up to congratulate us. Bella put her arm around me and I returned the gesture. I pulled her into a tight embrace and kissed her again before we started greeting our guests.
We greeted the majority of covens around the world. It was nice to see some old friends again. My Bella was so happy she was glowing. When we could finally join our guests at the reception we danced together, the first few dances before circulating among the guests. I was dancing with Jane right beside Bella who was dancing with Aro. We smiled widely at each other and went back to our dance partners.
As the reception wound down Bella and I were waltzing around the dance floor. She kissed me and said, "I'll race you to our rooms,"
I smirked at her and she made her way out of the garden with me at a regal pace but as soon as we were back in the castle she took off at a sprint. Our laughter echoed through the castle. The guards that were on duty only saw her sail by and smiled indulgently as I passed them too.
Once we were safely ensconced in our rooms I removed Bella's gown slowly. When it was finally a puddle on the floor Bella undressed me. We lay on the bed together, Bella exploring my chest like she did when she was human.
"You're driving me crazy, Bella," I said.
"Sorry, my love, would you like this better?" She asked straddling me.
Bella
I took my Demetri inside me and rode him hard and fast. He watched himself plunging in and out of me and I could tell he was getting close. Then he surprised me, he pinched my nub and I exploded.
I collapsed on his sculpted chest. He chuckled. "Did you like that my love?" he asked.
"Oh yes, but I'm not done with you yet." I laughed.
"We have to pack for the honeymoon my love. The jet will wait for us, but I feel bad making them wait while we're in bed."
I kissed him and he kissed me back but then we got dressed to go. He was taking me to Paris. It was one place we hadn't been to yet.
We only had a week, but Aro and Caius would manage things alone for that long. I was excited to go. The city of love was waiting for us and I rushed around packing our clothes quickly.
We were only thirty-five minutes late to the jet. The pilot smiled at us as we climbed in. We must have been just on time because we were taxing out in just five minutes and ten minutes beyond that we were airborne and on our way to the city of love.
