Bella

On our first night in Paris, Demetri told me to dress in black and to wear tennis shoes. My Demetri had an adventure planned. I was so excited. We waited till the Eiffel Tower had closed for the night and then climbed to the top. The view was amazing and to make it perfect, Demetri kissed me before we climbed back down. There could have been fireworks and I wouldn't have known, lost in the passion of Demetri's kiss.

We made love the remainder of the night and luckily the next day dawned overcast. The weather report said there were going to be a lot of overcast days this week. I hoped they were right. We went to the Louvre Museum. I was expecting the Monalisa to be a big painting. It surprised me how small it was. We wandered through the museum most of the day and in the evening we took a boat ride down the Seine River. It was beautiful in Paris. The sights, the smells, and the people all interested me. After our boatride, we walked through the city hand in hand looking around like the tourists we were.

We were staying at the Chateau des Fleurs. It was beautiful, and we were lucky it was because the next day was sunny. We read a little, made love a lot, and the day passed. It was our honeymoon after all. We didn't need to leave the room to celebrate. That evening we headed out of Paris and sought out some less savory fellows. The way we were dressed, it didn't take long till four men tried to rob us. It was like a buffet but deadlier. I ate two, Demetri had one and we shared the last. He didn't need as much blood as me with his age and always made sure I ate well. We threw them in a dumpster and lit it on fire when we were done. I hadn't spilled a drop and neither had Demetri so we made our way back to Paris.

We found out of the way bookstores, went to wine tastings, and even visited castles on our trip. I loved Paris but when the week came that our trip was over I was ready to go home too. We always enjoyed being away from the castle. The responsibilities on us there were many and varied. But the castle was always home and to be honest I wouldn't change a thing.

On our last night in Paris, we had champagne delivered to us.

"To my beautiful wife," Demetri toasted me, "A woman perfect for me in every way."

"To my gorgeous husband," I toasted my Demetri, "King, mate, lover, and best friend,"

We lay in bed naked slowly kissing and touching; exploring each other's bodies at a leisurely pace. Then I found myself under Demetri. "I can't stand being teased for long wife, you know this."

"It's not teasing Demetri," I said, "It's exploring. Over the last fifty years, I've memorized every place that makes you moan, my love."

"And I know everyplace that makes you moan too," He licked behind my ear, pinched my nipple, and entered me in one rough thrust. I moaned loudly.

"Yes, Demetri, take me. I'm yours. Show me who I belong to."

Demetri pounded into me until we both came. Then he surprised me by marking me where he had when we first mated. I marked him too. We came together. It was so surprising and erotic. He took me from behind the next time, gripping me hard we came together with a cry.

We made it to the jet before the sun rose. We were on our way back home.

Time is a funny thing. Sometimes it moves slowly, sometimes quicker. I thought my vampire friends were wrong and that I'd always notice its passage. I was wrong. Peace still reined in the vampire world and the next time I noticed its passage was one hundred and fifty years later. A cowed Edward and Carlisle were brought to the throne room. I'd almost forgotten they were here.

"I have taught Edward our laws and customs, my lords," Carlisle said in a whisper.

We asked Edward questions to see if he had in fact learned over the last two hundred years. He could answer them all. I thought Demetri asked a few tough ones just to see Edward squirm a little but he knew the basics.

"We will release you on the condition you don't add to your coven without our permission. There will be no more "mates" in the human world for either of you. We will check up on you over time." Aro said.

"Further lawbreaking will result in you both losing your lives," Demetri added.

"Thank you, Masters," they both said with their eyes on the ground. They were escorted from the throne room and gained their freedom. I was glad to see them go. I hadn't wanted to see them in the castle for a year relearning laws they should have already known.

I heard that they tried to meet up with Rose and Emmett. Emmett wouldn't have anything to do with them. Rose and Emmett had opened up a classic car restoration business. I heard from Emmett every few years but I doubted we'd ever be closer.

Demetri

After Edward and Carlisle left the throne room my minx of a mate sat on my lap.

"Can you believe that it's been two hundred years already since I was that young girl you had to introduce to the vampire world?" she asked.

"I can my love, and introducing you to the vampire world was a pleasure." He whispered but of course everyone heard. "I wonder how different everything will seem on your five hundred year anniversary."

"Court is dismissed for the day," Aro said with an indulgent smile.

"Come with me to the archives, my love," Bella asked. "I want to chat with Marcus and Didi."

"Only if you'll go with me to the recreation room afterwards?" Demetri asked.

"Deal."

...and we ran from the throne room going to the next phase of our lives and into our future.
