Standing up we stared at each other in a frozen way.
Is this man and I related?
"I have many questions" I mumbled as I let go of his hand.
"Me too, like why did you assault me?" He smiled at me kindly making me giggle again.
I stepped back a little more into the light "the town worried for you, sent me to see if you were alright"
He was shocked before he calmly smiled at the floor "Oh" a small chuckle "I just got more then I needed last time but how sweet"
"So why nap on the floor?" I laughed my hand behind my head.
"It is good on the back from time to time and it is cooler" I nodded when I could feel Kakashi heading our way.
"My teammate is coming so don't be alarmed"
He gave a smile "I can feel him" as he looked down at me curious when Kakashi was suddenly in the door frame startling him "Wow, you are a threatening looking man" he joked out as he moved towards him to the outside.
I chuckled at Kakashi "well you kind of are" his shoulder's dropped as the old man sat in his chair and I moved out passed him "but guess what" I smirked making him turn and follow, I pointed to his arm as the old man looked at us and held his arm out for him.
I leaned on the wall and checked this man out, I swear he has not shaved his dark gray hair in years, he had crows eye and looked aged in a wise way, his purple eyes stuck out to me but I never see that on anyone but me. Kakashi moved next to me silently and just leaned on the wall.
"So we are related" I spoke up awkwardly and he looked at me with a nod "are you" I rubbed my hair "from here or?"
"Where else would I be from?" he looked at me with a bit untrusting eye, but I did not know what to say as I looked to Kakashi for help.
"Are you from the land of fire, land of snow or" he glanced at me "know where Canada is?"
He stared at us even more interested as he looked at me "I am from both and I know where Canada is" he looked at me with a tint in his eye before he spoke up in English "Is he from here?" I nodded "How much does he know?"
I smiled "everything" in English.
He nodded as he looked us over before he stood up and came in close before he pulled me into a bear hug that made me feel kind of safe so I lightly patted his back but he would not let go "family, from home, I never" he spoke loudly, he started to sniffle. I peered at Kakashi when he did not let me go and he just fake smiled at me making me roll my eye's before I really embraced him and hugged him back tightly, he is weirdly blood, I have not had a male in my family in a long time.
He let me go and slightly waddled back to his chair
"So how long have you been here for?" I asked.
"About thirty years, maybe more" he scanned me "you?"
"She has been here for about a year and a half" Kakashi spoke up "She came from a failed jutsu that brought many from your world" I was thankful for him speaking for me as I still am a little flustered.
"So there is many of us?" he perked up but we both shook our heads no making him frown.
We started to explain somethings he did not know before waiting for his side.
"I was going for a walk along the trails not far from my home with my dog as I did everyday when I walked into the forest path chasing my dog who never acts out, we came to these trees and my dog started to growl at nothing, I almost got a hold of him and he ran back towards the path but the trees started to change and snow started to fall and I got scared I started to run"
I stared at him with big eye's as I slid down the wall and sat, I glanced at Kakashi but he showed no emotion like always.
"I started to get lost and I could not find my way out of the snow covered hills, my dog was gone and the world was silent" He was lost in memory "I found out I was in the land of snow, eventually found my way to land of fire and up here, I like the weather much more" he said kindly as he looked our at the view.
"Where was this small forest?" He told me shocking me as I lived a few city's away, maybe four or five hour drive away. He told us more of his story, kakashi stood there quietly as we listened. He said how he can use chakra but not very well, not the way I can, he was interested like me at first but without a city like me he just traveled this world alone for a while before he stayed here, but he can see it well.
I glanced up at Kakashi and he looked down on me "he got here not from the jutsu" he just nodded, he came from a different way, the original way "how cool is that" I looked back at him "what is your name?"
"Ryan" as he looked at me with expectation.
"Ava" I smiled and then pointed "Kakashi"
"So you are not alone using only first names and no honorifics" Kakashi quietly spoke making us look at him and nod "why is that?"
We looked at each other and I shrugged, it was how we were raised although in high school I would call people by there last name "We also have three names" I smiled at him, "I am Ava Amelia Lee" He just looked at me interested.
"I am Ryan James Mclaren" he smiled down at me.
Kakashi looked at us strangely making me ask a question with my eye's "You have different last names"
"That is normal, normally you are named after your father" Ryan nodded "even my mom and grandma have different names then me as they did not marry"
We are not like the clans here, where last names matter and they keep the same one in the family. He seemed to understand as he stood there silently and I looked back at Ryan as I asked him about his family trying to find how we are related and if I ever heard of anyone but we could not find a connection.
"So did you bring anything with you? all your clothes and phone?" I asked when he looked at me confused making me feel like I asked a dumb question.
"I left my phone hooked up on my living room table" he was so confused, my jaw dropped making me lean forwards with interest, I gave the biggest smile.
"What year are you from?" Knowing the answer was before me.
"I think it was 1997" I smiled, how cool, he looked at me astounded when I said I was from 2019 and leaned forward "What happened in the future?"
Leaning back I thought about it, something interesting.
"Do you know that guy called Trump" He slightly closed his eyes and nodded as he looked in thought "Well he is the president of the states" He stared at me shocked, "and there was this rich guy who shot his car into space, it is just out there floating around I think" that one made him laugh at the stupidity but was sad we did not have flying cars, then I mostly explained the new cell phones and computers and he was blown away.
I forgot Kakashi was there as we chatted about our world, we were chatting about things we missed when he stood up "let me cook for you, I don't want you to leave just yet" I nodded with a smile as I watched him walk back into his place before I looked up at Kakashi with such excitement and he just smiled down on me.
"So you are the only one that did not become a hermit" he finally spoke.
I giggled "you know, I am sure I would have been had I not met you guys" He just stared "it is just this world is scary"
He walked out with a fresh plucked bird "I got this baby earlier"
"You hunted yourself?" he nodded and seemed to like my impressed face as he started a fire and went to cook it. He had such an old crazy woodsman vibe and I loved it.
Kakashi looked at him and asked if he wanted to come back to the leaf village with us wiping the smile off his face, he looked down at me sadly "honestly, no" it was quiet for a second "this is my home, even if it was great to meet you" he smiled at me as he took to his chair again.
We both let it go for now as I spun the bird on its stick as I was sitting next to the fire.
I loved how I have a real life relative in this world, "maybe we can write" he said as he looked at me "I can send letters when I come to town"
I smiled and nodded "old school penpal"
He smiled "I will write down my address and mail me if you ever need a hand" I smiled as I dug into my scroll but I could not find paper when Kakashi handed me some making me smile up at him and write it down.
We chatted about anything that popped in our heads before we ate his bird, it was not so bad but missed some flavor. The sun started to get low, we will have to leave soon.
Kakashi was pointed to his washroom and Ryan pulled me aside "don't trust ninja's they don't care about anything but their missions" I was stunned and wanted to voice that the leaf was not like that but he spoke up "hide your tattoo, I found out that our family was hunted down in the land of snow, don't let them see it" I was speechless when the toilet flushed and he let me go.
I just paused sadly when he came out and we were going to head back to the nearby village "I will see you again Ryan" he nodded with his hairy smile and we moved out as we ran down the side of the cliff like normal.
"You heard that right?" I said softly and he nodded, I looked at my arm "think I should hide it?" He looked at it also.
"Would not be a bad idea" I nodded "try and wrap your forearms in bandages like we all do" I nodded "it will also protect your arms from your water so no one would question" I just nodded again.
We headed back to the Inn, stopping by to tell the lady that he was fine and will be back down here soon and she was so relived.
I was lost in my head as we moved into the inn the girl was happy to see us both but this time I swear there was hearts in her eye's as she looked at Kakashi, taking me back a bit as I moved to the stairs "sometimes things still shock me" I mumbled but he did not understand and I let it go with a head shake.
I flopped on the couch and he took to a chair as we sat in silence, I remember that time at the lake when he asked me 'would you save your friend or your mission' and I feel like Ryan was not far off, but I don't think Kakashi would leave his friend and everyone else has saved my ass beyond count.
"So there is a way, but maybe just for your clan" he finally spoke up and I looked shocked at him, I did not think about that "might be why they were hunted down" he actually looked at me worried "being an alien is one thing but now it seems to be worse"
It was quiet before he pulled out some wraps and leaned in front of me as he grabbed my arms and moved my mesh and starred to wrap them up kindly, "I see you don't do this, so this is how" as he explained before both forearms were covered and lightly put the end of the mesh on top.
I nodded "Think they moved to that world because they were in trouble here?"
He stood back up sadly "Maybe the jutsu dealt with you because you are programmed for it but that is just a guess, I know as much as you" I nodded as I looked at my wraps, I did not hate it, he sat down again and just stared at me in thought making me wonder what was going on in that smart ass brain of his.
"Well if you are right and I was sent here because of being connected, then it is definitely on my fathers side" I joked and he just nodded.
We sat there silently when I yawned and he looked at me "you can take the bed" I shook my head.
"No my feet barely fit, you're taller" I waved my hand "take the bed" I smiled at him "ear plug's again" he nodded as I kicked my feet up "so sexy?" He looked at me again "where is your mind going?"
"Just thinking about this all, was a load of information if calculated correctly could get you home" I looked at him sadly "we should get you home" he sounded almost protective in that sentence making me smile kindly at him.
I looked at him and wondered if I really wanted to.
We were both awake and the sun was not yet set but I did not know what to do or say, every time my eye's scan the hot tub I have to stop my thought's from rooming around. When we could hear some noise coming from outside, we shared a look and stood up, heading to the window by the bed and peering out.
People pointing to far off and yelling, we could see black smoke coming from the mountain "no" I jumped out the small window and started to run as the sunset spread across the sky as fast as I could. The smoke got thicker as I left the town and headed that way, Kakashi on my heals and he came to pass me he gave me a look and he was gone in a wind of leaves.
I felt happy he moved ahead of me in a way I can't.
What is going on?
Why?
Is he okay?
Knowing where it was I came near his home, the whole place was on fire and not a single chakra in my zone, knowing I can't see his chakra I worried if he was inside so I did the water wave signs and soaked the home completely, it knocked all objects not nailed down to the back and then it floated off the cliff as I ran inside looking for him but there was nothing the screamed body making me smile, he is not here.
I boosted my nose and tried to find his scent trail and he is not the cleanest so his trail was strong, it was annoying before but now I loved it, the took him north over the mountain side and I followed. I could hear and smell Kakashi down the side but Ryan was headed in a different direction so I followed him, Kakashi can handle himself.
I could feel two ninja's up ahead as I tried to stay unseen and moved around the hillside carefully before I got an eye on them, one had Ryan hung over his shoulder and that worried me as he was a big man. I looked them over and they dressed okay, did not look dirty but the chakra was strong, it was me and them I almost used sage mode but I had a feeling it was to soon for that.
I ran over my mind to find a way to ambush them, my best chance, as I ran along the a path above them as they looked around, we were so high I moved over light snow and my toes got wet and cold. We headed to a thick forest down the side of the cliff side, where a small trail moved through it.
I ditched my weights and ran ahead as fast as I could, they are slow because Ryan is so heavy.
I tried to calculate where they would run and I set up a few log traps, when it hits them they will land on paralyze seals, I did not have much time so I made a few clones and we hid in the tree's in wait.
The one holding Ryan Stepped into a trap as a log came at him while his more agile friend jumped out of the way but it made him and Ryan fly to the side as he landed on a seal, making him literally freeze in place and it was a comical position with his legs in the air, I never knew it worked like that.
I moved in fast, kunai flying from eight hands as they bounced off each other making the man try and block and jump around, I sent one clone to pick up Ryan and run him away, it struggled slightly but she was able to get him on her back and ran off.
I blocked his way after Ryan, his very long womanly hair floated around as he tried to dodge my water, this man looked like he was ten but also thirty so I am unsure how old he really was, I rolled out of a big fireball as it bashed into a tree behind me burning it slightly when he tried to tie me up in wire and I cut it to pieces easy getting back in close. His hair moved and I could see the leaf symbol scratched out on his forehead.
A missing nin?
I got in close when suddenly with one hand sign the air blew up beside me, it did not hurt but it pushed me backwards giving him some space as he ran in a circle and tossed Shuriken at me but I blocked well and the air burst again pushing me to the side before it shoved me back where I stood as I tried to block but it was pointless, when it happened again he just started to laugh.
I mind fucked him as I jumped into the tree's he was only under for about two seconds but his friend was finally getting up, I puppy loved that one quickly as I moved around in the tops of the tree's, hoping maybe he will fight for me again but nether were out for long when they nodded at each other and the second one, a much more muscled man ran off to find Ryan.
He stepped backwards onto my other hidden log trap, it bashed him in the back and he went flying towards a seal before he poofed into a log and the log was paralyzed in an impossible angle, but I could feel him as I jumped down and went to kick him in his head when the air blew up again and knocked me off the branch, flipping onto my feet I hit the dirt.
I was glad to see the second was headed away from my clone, he has no skill at tracking, I am sure my clone found a place to hide as it stopped moving.
He was moving in the trees, so I ran across from him and made a genjutsu clone before jumping up and he went right for it, he moved to kick it in the side as his leg went clean through, wrapping him into my whip as I pulled him to me into my water but before it landed he shoved his chakra into his feet and made him stick to a branch, his strength was more then mine so I let him go as I dodged more fire.
That was a cool idea, I was impressed.
I could see his friend change direction and headed in the direction of my clone making me glare in worry.
"Glare all you want little girl, you wont pass me" his voice was really low for his more childlike face, so he is definitely older, but then the other turned away from my clone again making me smile and it confused the man in front of me, "You smile at me why, can't you tell I will win, you stand no chance, you are nothing to me" I focused back at him.
"Huh?"
He was startled "were you not listening to me" he growled, he literally growled at me, I shook my head and ran back in but he was dodging when the air blew up again, slightly annoyed I made my cutting water to get more range I cut him slightly a few times and then he blew up the air three times in a row as it pushed me back before he moved farther down the hill with a smirk.
He started to do some hand signs but so did I.
I was faster as a giant wave came out of my mouth, using so much chakra to make sure it was successful, it drained me quiet a bit but it pulled him away down the steep side of the mountain, his chakra nowhere to be seen.
I stopped and breathed in deep before I turned to go get Ryan but I headed towards the second man who was now out of view.
I followed his scent but he was headed in a complete opposite direction of Ryan and I let him, I moved to my clone hidden in the forest as I rubbed Ryan's face "wake up" before I lightly smacked him he was a deep sleeper, I leaned back and sighed, he is fine it seem's just not awake, I looked around and found a hidden area under a tree and me and my clone dragged him inside.
I need to go help Kakashi, he is not to far I think but to far to leave a clone as I have a range on it. I took off my necklace and put it in his hand before leaving a Kunai. I blocked the area with branches and leaves and left him there and followed my nose to Kakashi.
I could feel his and a strange chakra thick on the air, I paused at the edge of the forest line where a big canyon sat between them and me, I watched but the speed was insane, he found the strong one and pulled it away.
The moon lit up the area pretty well but I stood there unsure if I should go back to Ryan or try and help, they will see me if I move any closer so I cant use the surprise factor that does so well for me.
I felt the mold of chakra making me get on alert, Kakashi following him exactly as two big gusts of wind smashed into each other and headed straight for me, I ducked behind the trunk, using chakra to stay put as I covered my face, the wind tore into the treeline like a tornado ripping off the more smaller branches and cutting me slightly on my arm that was not completely blocked.
I peered back around the tree, they were back to tai fighting, checking them out both were still almost full of chakra, this could go on for a while, when he went to make another wind bullshit as Kakashi followed, this time Kakashi's back was to me so I wont be in the death zone.
But some wind came my way, my eye's burned as I shut them, the tree and my hair moving around, a few more small cut's on my skin, I opened my eye's as soon I could and saw Kakashi was knocked into the middle of the canyon, his hands moving to his pouch but I did not think as I shoved off with chakra and headed right for him.
He looked up quickly as he was facing me I flew at him, My right hand went to grab his arm and my left moved to be above his shoulder and my right leg moving to land between his as my body slammed into his, we bashed into the cliff side my lips almost touched his masked ones making me tilt my head but that made my forehead smash into his.
I was startled so I used my chakra and we came to a sudden halt and not the gradual I wanted but that made his junk hit my leg and he made a face in pain as I pulled my head back.
I stared at him worried "sorry, that is not the way I would have wanted to touch that" he got hold of himself with a giggle as he rolled out of painful embrace using his own chakra he headed back up the side to continue this fight.
I hung there with my eye's closed biting my lip in humor before I smacked my hand on the cliff "damn" I laughed while looking up and decided to head up there.
I ran along the side to get more space before I jumped up landing in squat position to take up less space, I focused serious as I watched them "I wonder if one day I can be that fast"
Kakashi did not even have his eye uncovered so I guess this is not the toughest fight, I quickly did the hand signs and tried to mind fuck this man who was to busy to notice. I felt it hit but the split second he went to remove it Kakashi got in close and cut him badly making him bounce backwards holding his side.
He may not be strong enough to make Kakashi lift his eye but without it he stood a small chance with him, I squatted in a position as I watched the speedy fight feeling like a movie and wishing for popcorn, he looked my way a couple times but you don't turn away from Kakashi. I started to understand the way the girls find the strongest more attractive but I would still choose personality.
I wondered if I should throw down a smoke bomb as the only downfall is him not seeing but without his eye out it should be fine with his smell and hearing.
I slowly pulled one out as he turned the man so his back was to me, his eye glancing at me as I stood up fast, the man looked back slightly as I tossed it on his feet and ran in as we took two sides and cut into him deep, together.
His chakra was still there as he lied on the ground making me slightly walk away, I saw Kakashi moved towards him and I shut my eye's but it was completely useless and his chakra faded, but the man was really hurt.
Maybe I should go home, I never want that to be normal and okay.
He moved next to me and we started to slowly walk away, hands back in his pockets, does it make him sad still or is it normal.
"Well that was unexpectedly painful" he joked with a real eye smile.
"Ya sorry" I gave sheepish look "We almost had that kind of accidental kiss"
He just nodded, I guess he saw it also "so you chose pain" he smiled down on me.
"Don't want one of the cheesy love story kisses" he seemed slightly happy.
He cocked his head "Well what else is from a cheesy love story in your world?"
I looked up in thought when I slid my hand in my pocket "well" I paused and he followed his calm eye not leaving my face "me seeing you completely naked, so... interested in that one" He closed his eye in a strange way making me chuckle "so change in your living room and just stand there naked for like ten minutes and then maybe" I joked out making him smile at me as a small chuckle escaped.
He was so cute when he was this happy, I love to hear him laugh.
"I want to see what is under there" I mumbled in English making him turn and start to slowly walk but I noticed it, he did not get even slightly annoyed. I caught up and stared at his face as he looked down at me in a bored manor.
"Did you know what I just said?" I spoke still in English, not a change "Did Kuro teach you?" he just looked out front, I was even more convinced.
I need to say something that would get a reaction.
I spoke calmly and stared at his bored looking eye "I would kiss you for real but I may rip everything off" he blinked but a small blush showed up completely giving him away "I knew it, you can understand me" he looked down and closed his eye before he nodded.
"I was hoping to hide it much longer to what hear you say" he said in English, his accent strong and words were a little off making the biggest smile cross my face at his partial fail.
I just stared in amazement before I slightly glared at the fact he learned a fucking language in what a month "man, you are good at everything" He just smiled down on me before I looked him up and down "hmm, everything?" but that made him turn and walk away again, a small smirk on my face I looked at his nice ass.
"By the way" he looked back "we need to go that way" I pointed behind us to the canyon behind us.
He rubbed his neck "right"'
We headed to where I left Ryan, when he made a noise "also, quickly tying a wire to a kunai and embedding it into a cliff side to pull you closer works when falling" he looked at me with the cutest eye smile "but that was a funnier outcome"
Ryan was sitting at the base of the tree inspecting the Kunai when we landed beside him "boy am I glad you stopped by today" he joked as Kakashi looked between us.
"You do have some similarities" Kakashi lightly spoke.
I reached my hand out and pulled him to his feet before he handed my necklace and I slid it back on when Kakashi got serious and asked what that was about.
"See, I don't go out much but when I do" he pointed in a direction "there is this town over there" kakashi nodded completely understanding but I did not get it as I looked between them.
Kakashi noticed "it is a famous town for gambling" I finally got it as I looked at my old related man.
"So you gamble..and you owe money?" he nodded "Well your home is gone because of that" he looked sad, it is gone.
"The offer to come with us still stands" Kakashi spoke up as he looked at him blankly but he seemed a little off put by Ryan right now but Ryan seemed to still not like that idea, he also seems to not like Ninja's.
"I will just fix it up, gotta work the hands sometimes" he smiled.
"Do you need money or something?" I asked kindly, Kakashi gave me a side glance and I understood.
"Thank's dear but I will figure it out myself, thanks for saving me today but I had a plan it is just a few day's late" he looked like he wanted to leave us now and Kakashi also seemed unfriendly. "Can I have your address again so I can write you?" I nodded and wrote it down again with Kakashi's pencil before he took it and walked off "thank you again" it was so dark it was hard to see if I spelled it right.
We stood there awkwardly and I handed his pencil and paper back "why do you have that on you anyway"
"In case I need to send a bird, you should carry some yourself" I made a noise at him saying I will.
"So do we just go?" I asked, he nodded and started to walk "that was awkward"
"He may be your family but I don't fully trust him"
I just sighed "seems to be mutual between you two" he just made a noise in agreement, "but he is blood, not family and I trust you more" I smiled up at him "but I have no reason to not trust him right now"
We moved down the mountain quick but slow as it was dark and moved back to the glowing village, we strolled through town slowly in comfortable silence.
Before I paused in shock "resonating tree's" I almost yelled making the few people outside look at me, Kakashi looked at me confused before I looked around and grabbed his arm heading to the inn making one mid aged man winked at Kakashi as we passed, knowing where I was headed, I would have laughed but I pulled him up stairs making the Inn girl frown and shoved him into our room shutting the door.
He stood there still confused.
"The recent scroll from the land of snow" I talked quietly "said something about resonating tree's" He looked at me like, 'you pulled me here like that to say that'. "Some tree's in the land of snow has a connection to some tree's in my world" he just stared at me almost sadly, "I know I am dumb, don't need to look at me like that"
"Do we go back there and look? Is that what you want?" I paused as he still looked at me and I shrugged unsure.
"Well it is very big, with ton's of tree's so until we know more, no" He just nodded and kicked off his shoes before ditching his vest as I watched him before He lied this time on his back, his head propped up on the frame, he was so quiet again, I stared at his masked face as he opened his book to read and I left him to it as I sat on the couch turned away and kicked off my shoes.
"Did I ever tell you about what some science in my world talks about Parallel Universes" as I looked at him and he lowered his book "I don't think they have proof about it but it is a very common and known about thing" I stood up and walked to the bed, sitting on the bottom slightly sitting on my left leg before I told him as much as I known about it, it was not very much, he was interested "not saying it was real or even a part of us" I mumbled as I looked up and saw a mirror hidden in the ceiling making me smirk and distracted myself.
"But you are saying there may be a way that we are connected in some crazy way and it may not be what you said before 'light years' away" I looked at him before looking back up.
"You just gonna ignore the fact this is definitely a honeymoon suite?"
"What were you going to say?" He looked at me and I stared at him, dirty thought's in my mind.
"I can't remember where I was going" I sighed and looked back up "your world is just as dirty as mine, only thing your missing is strippers" he still stared as his eye's scanned my face in confusion.
"They dance on poles and stages as they take off their clothes and become naked to music and you shove money in anything you can" His eye grew big "oh right, I meant there may be a way we are closer to each other, so in my world there is some way that yours is more connected in mine I just don't know how, I meant that anything could be true and I am curious what is connected to ours"
I took a breath.
His eye's got small again at my rant "I did not understand a word you just said"
"There could be more then just us connected to each other and what if I try and go home and I go somewhere else"
"Well then we better be 100 percent sure where you go when you go" I nodded and he looked back down at his book sitting on his lap, my eye's quickly scanning his vestless body, damn he is hard under there, that chest is probably so hot, my eye's lingered for a second before he looked back up at me and I looked away.
I patted the bed and stood up walking back to the couch, come on Ava.
"Well" I turned off a few lights on this side of the room, he can deal with the others when he is tired and I flopped on the couch hoping to sleep quickly.
The busy hallway was filled with kids, some so young I am shocked they are in military training. I only have ten minutes before the classes start up and Anko bet me I can't steal something from Iruka.
I casually walked between kids who ignored me, moving near his room I paused and listened as he made clearing his throat noises and moved around some papers, a kid walked by and entered as I watched her move to the back of the room, so I stole the look of a kid who ran by and I moved inside slowly.
"Sauina, wow your here early today" Iruka smiled at me like a teacher, I know nothing of this kid to react to that.
I just nodded and looked around as he looked at me funny "I was wondering for some help before class"
He casually nodded, almost seemed happy this kid reached out to him "about what?"
I don't know what this kid knows "math?" I spoke up and he looked at me funny again so I moved fast and moved next to him grabbing some blank paper and started to draw triangles "So what is acute and what are the other's?" he still seemed slightly off put but he spoke to help me and pointed them out.
Glad math is the same here.
I slightly slowly shifted closer and drew another triangle and asked how to get the number of X, I put on one side and he again looked at me again "no wonder you are confused, this is a math I have not seen before, where did you learn this?"
Okay, at least the outcome is always the same.
He started to get into it showing the way they did it in this world to find the length of X and I was actually interested and I almost forgot what I was doing. I peered over as he wrote things down and looked at what I could steal from him easy.
His money pouch was the best bet as I 'accidentally' dropped the pencil and rolled over the far edge of the desk before I started to make sniffling noises that I dropped it "it is fine" he moved around the table to pick it up "are you alright today?" Man he is kind, he moved passed me as he got back in his spot and I slid my hand out and lightly pulled it out of his pocket while asking about how to find the correct path to throw a kunai if this man was here and I was there.
He started to show me as I hid it inside my own pocket, I almost wanted to stay and listen as this was interesting, maybe I can ask later in the math around throwing shit, there is more then just aiming, why has no one said this to me.
"Oh, I need to pee" I yelled and ran out suddenly as Iruka stayed back. I quickly moved and dropped my illusion to the neighbor room and Jumped out the window where Anko stood leaning on a tree.
I walked up and dangled his shit in front of her face she scoffed "Two out of three?"
I nodded as we moved to his window and called out his name as he looked at us and I showed him his pouch, he moved to grab it form his pocket but it was gone as he looked at us strangely "was that you?"
I nodded "you will need to teach me that math later however" I tossed it to him and we turned away.
"So what is two?" we walked as she thought about it.
"Who is here?" she mumbled while we walked aimlessly.
"Please make it someone I know so that they wont try and kill me if I get caught"
She looked at me like I ruined her plan making me smile.
She changed direction as we walked and she looked around when we came to Kakashi's home, I could see him inside and I gave her a what the fuck look "no" I said almost a whisper "he will notice"
She just smirked, "he fit's the list, besides if you can steal from him, you will know you are getting better"
I sighed as I made sure to watch his chakra trying to figure out what he was doing so I wont be barging in on him, I think he was in his living room.
"What do I get?" we talked in hush tones so he wont hear us, she gave me a look as she thought "something on his person, or something in his home.
She had this look "not his underwear" I said as she pouted "child" I smirked at her.
"Fine something from his bedroom, don't matter what"
I stood for a second before I made a clone, I was going to send it to the door and I was going to head to the alleyway by his bedroom when she stopped me and shook her head "no jutsu this time"
I sighed "Wow make it impossible" and still headed to the ally way, I was about to jump up when I felt him move to his bedroom making me lean on the wall and wait. I was worried I would catch him naked or something today, feeling like the universe, in Anko's terms, really likes to fuck with us. Looking up his window was closed making me sad but at least he can't smell me down here but it will make this harder.
He moved back to his living room as I climbed the side of the building and peeked in, he was visible from here as he stood there, before he moved back to the couch my eye's scanned his room looking for something to take. The plant was easy as it sit just inside the window, Anko was at the end of the ally way looking at me with entertainment and mouthed "you need to go inside"
I waved my hand "stop changing the rules" I mouthed back making her smirk.
I rolled my eyes and looked some more, I did not notice last time but he really does not have a lot of useless things like my house. There hanging on a nearby shelf was some blue boxers making me deadpan, no not the underwear, I glared at Anko as she watched me, when I saw the old school clock just behind the plant, all I need to do is put my feet on the floor inside and take it.
I don't know if his window squeaks as I ducked when he passed again but he had moved to the kitchen making me smile as I opened it slowly, he is the farthest away right now before I jumped in silently, my feet hit the ground I grabbed the clock and jumped back out, leaving the window open.
I moved back to her and held it out she rolled her eye's before I stuck my hand out "pay up" she shook her head with a glare.
"Well why don't we see how well you can do?" she looked at me liking the challenge before she looked up at his building.
"Double it?" I nodded interested "both after the same thing" she spoke up as we thought about what we know is in his house.
"One of the icha books?" I spoke up, hoping she may go after the green one and I can take one the ones I saw on his shelf but she looked worried about that and I think caught on to my thought "fine" I spit out.
She suddenly had an idea as her face lit up "his toothbrush, he has to have a toothbrush"
I nodded "ya, and it is in a complicated spot" he has no big bathroom window so we need to get passed him "how much time?"
"Whoever get's it first" I nodded as we stood there thinking, I am unsure if she even knows his layout, I never have been in his bathroom but I know where it is.
He moved back to his couch, so I took the moment and ran back to the window as I jumped back inside the clock in my hand as I placed it back, not in the same spot, Anko was next to me making me glare and nudge her quietly before we got into a quiet hand slapping fight before she shoved my head back and I glared when he shuffled on his couch and we threw ourselves on his wall next to his door.
He paused and I heard him sniff as we looked at each other worried and he stood up, Anko dived under his desk leaving me standing there in the open as he walked towards the door. If he moved just a little more forward he would see me as he just stood there, I shifted into the corner as much as I could.
He made a small noise before he walked away, so the bathroom door is next to this one I just need to get in it. I watched his chakra with my eye's closed as he stood in the middle of his living room, I wonder if he knows and is just playing with us?
His back was to me so I moved quickly but I knocked the underwear off the shelf and kicked it into the living room as I grabbed it and ran into the bathroom hiding behind the door and finally gave a small shallow breath, looking down as I held possible dirty underwear, I was about to drop it when he moved into his bedroom where Anko was still hiding.
I saw his toothbrush, I moved quick and grabbed it with a smile when he headed back this way making me dive into his shower and lean on the wall to be slightly hidden by the glass door.
I watched him walk into this room and he slightly shut the door behind him making my jaw drop, fucking universe.
He may not know at all as he undid his vest, Anko moved our way and hung outside the slightly jarred door and he dropped it on the floor before he moved to take off his top, as much as I wanna see that I squeaked "Don't"
He stopped mid move for a second before he dropped his shirt and whipped his glass door open with speed and I stood there with an awkward smile, his toothbrush and underwear in my hands, he just stared at me blankly and eyed my hands but Anko could see and just started howling in laughter making him spin as she opened the door falling to her knees.
I held his stuff out to him and he took it slowly, confused, looking me over as I moved passed him and towards Anko who was almost crying as I tried to pick her up with an awkward smile on my face.
"Sorry" I mumbled to him when she was not getting up "it was a bet" he nodded with a blank face.
I got her on her feet as she leaned on the door frame her eye's landing on me again and that started a whole new round of giggles, I smiled and crossed my arms over my chest "So I got it in my hand and had everything else, I win, pay up"
She was breathing better and she nodded "yes you win, that was worth it" she patted my back.
He listened "what else did you take?" As he looked at his underwear in his hand.
Anko spoke up with pride "She got Iruka's money pouch and your clock"
He looked at us impressed and seemed a little amused, I eyed his underwear "well at least there not red" I mumbled and we turned to leave.
"I still don't understand that" I heard him speak as we went out his front door and I apologized once more before it shut behind us as she started to giggle making me join her this time.
"I can't believe he did not see us" I mumbled, I know he smelled us and a part of me wonders if it was all a joke or he really did not see us.
"Yes you are definitely heading towards being a good thief" I smiled at that, maybe.
