"You seem to be doing really well for yourself," Matt couldn't help but comment as he admired his little brother's new laptop.
T.K. smirked.
"Yeah, well, I have a steady job during my university time instead of touring with an indie band."
Matt took the little jab in stride, especially since he was leaving tomorrow and wouldn't see T.K. for a while.
"But do you need it for university? Your old one would have been fine," he said instead.
His brother waved it off.
"No, this one is just for personal use. I'll tell you another time what I plan to do with it. When it's finished," he said.
Matt tried to pry about what 'it' meant, but his little brother wouldn't reveal anything. So he gave up, especially since he still wanted to meet up with the others for a small celebration. T.K. wanted to join later.
After Matt left, T.K. had a drink and then sat down at his desk. He opened the laptop and read the title of the document that was still open.
'Our Journey'.
Then he took a deep breath and began writing the first chapter.
