Come Home to Us, Randy: { Chapter 10: Part 3: Going Home}

I'm so sorry that happened to you, Randy; Betsy said. It was'nt your fault and you did nothing to deserve that happening to your family; Betsy said. I understand more clearly now

why you were so mistrustful and afraid when we first met you, Randy; Betsy said softly. ''But believe me''; Betsy said with a strength in her voice that surprised them both; you will never

have reason to fear anyone again as long as The Virginian and the boys, and Daddy and I are around, Randy; Betsy said. And if those bad men ever dare show their faces around here, Randy,

The Virginian and the boys will not only send them packing; they will wish they'd never shown their faces around here; Betsy said for good measure. You're part of our family now and

you always will be, Randy; Betsy said. No harm will ever come to you again, Randy; Betsy said comfortingly. And all of us, me included; love you, Randy; Betsy said with feeling in her

voice. I love all of you, too; Randy said gently. An'd I think of ya'll like family, too; Randy said, pulling his bandana from his pocket. I'm happy to hear that, Randy; Betsy said, wiping

her eyes with her own hankerchief. I could'nt imagine Shiloh now without you on it, Randy; Betsy said. And neither could anyone else; she added. An'd I don't think I could imagine not

bein' here on Shiloh, either; Randy said, giving Betsy a bright smile. Let's go home now, Randy; Betsy said, returning his smile. I'll bring the horses around, Betsy; Randy said as

she packed up the basket. Alright Randy, I'll be right there; Betsy said as he left. When she was finished, Betsy took one last look around and then went to join Randy.

I'm ready now, Randy; Betsy said when she saw him with the horses. Let me help ya' up, Betsy; Randy said, giving her his hand. Thanks, Randy; Betsy said as she climbed into the

saddle. Let's go home, Betsy; Randy said, giving her one of his bright smiles. Yes, Randy, let's go home to Shiloh; Betsy replied, smiling back at him warmly.

And then they both rode towards Shiloh and Home.

[ I hope the last two parts of Chapter Ten paint a much clearer picture of Randy's family and past than one of my previous stories may have done. And by the way in Season 2 of The Virginian

Betsy is seventeen and Randy is the same age or a year younger, maybe. In case I did'nt mention that in my previous stories. Enjoy, all! And thank you.]
