The night breeze swung at the two, their hair ruffling and their clothes flapping in the night. Izuku gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, glaring. "This isn't really you so stop the charade." Katsuki spat. 'The tough guy's acting is tiring and see-through. We can all see that you're struggling so let's see if you're going to shut out the extra that's fine." He stomped his foot towards Izuku and growled. "But don't you dare push me away!"

"'The tough guy's acting is tiring and see-through. We can all see that you're struggling so let's see if you're going to shut out the extra that's fine." He stomped his foot towards Izuku and growled. "But don't you dare push me away!"

"The tough guy act? You want to lecture me on pushing people away?" The confrontation was heated, with both of them throwing insults and accusations at each other. Izuku didn't hold back in his harsh words, finally standing up for himself and refusing to be pushed around by Katsuki any longer. "You constantly bring me down no matter what i try to say or do to convince you that I simply just want to be your friend!"

Izuku's face was red and he panted for air from yelling at the top of his lungs. "I try and i try and I try! But all you seem to do is want me to fail!" He threw his hands up in defeat and exhaled in disbelief. "You make me think, 'Maybe he was right to tell me to kill myself when I was younger. Maybe I should, would he even care?!'"

The cool breeze ruffled their hair and carried the tension between them, adding an eerie atmosphere to their heated confrontation. Katsuki's sharp eyes glinted with intensity as he unleashed a torrent of harsh words, his voice cutting through the stillness of the night. "You can't give up your potential of becoming the number one hero after all this fucking time!"

Izuku, on the other hand, stood his ground with a determined expression, his eyes reflecting his unwavering resolve. The cool breeze served as a stark reminder of the simmering emotions that lay beneath the surface, fueling their argument and driving them to clash with no signs of backing down. The night air was thick with animosity as the two friends turned rivals and clashed in a battle of wills under the watchful moon.

"I-I get that I bullied you when we were younger and I might not show that I love you, but I shouldn't have to say it goddamn it!" His face flushed with embarrassment. He snorted, chuckling in dry humor as he clapped slowly. "After all we've been through - when you were young and since we got to U.A., you really think I want you to fail? We made a fucking promise!"

"Don't come at me for not wanting to share my struggles with the one person who treats me like fucking shit every day!" He glared fiercely at Katsuki, his eyes burning with anger and frustration.

"Congratulations, the future pro hero is an alcoholic because he doesn't know how to cope with anything else, what a fucking pathetic sight! You're just being selfish!"

As Izuku lay in bed, staring up at his ceiling, he couldn't shake off the memory of Katsuki's words. They echoed in his mind, pushing him to finally seek help. He felt a wave of uneasiness wash over him as he continued to hide the truth from Bakugo about seeking help.

Maybe he should stop.

"Why?" A dark laugh echoed in his head.

He knew that eventually, the truth would come out - that Izuku had lied and said he would get help - and he dreaded the consequences of his actions. Izuku struggled with the inner turmoil of lying to someone he cared about so deeply, but he was afraid of the fallout if Bakugo were to find out the truth.

Their argument quickly escalated as Katsuki accused Izuku of being careless and selfish for not taking care of himself. Izuku defended himself, explaining that he didn't want to burden anyone with his problems. Eventually, they both calmed down and Izuku agreed to seek help for his condition and Katsuki promised to support him.

The thought of aimlessly wandering through the day without purpose or direction filled him with anxiety and a sense of foreboding. As if just on time, his dark blue clock screamed.

Izuku groaned as his alarm clock blared loudly, signaling the start of another early morning. He begrudgingly opened his eyes, feeling the weight of exhaustion settle over him. "Why do I have to get up so early?" he grumbled to himself, rolling over in bed in a feeble attempt to delay the inevitable. But he knew that if he didn't get up now, he would be late for school, and he couldn't afford to miss any more classes.

After a few more half-hearted protests, Izuku finally forced himself to swing his legs over the side of the bed and stumble towards the bathroom. His head hurt and he felt irritable. The warm water cascading over him in the shower did little to dispel his grogginess, but it did help to clear his mind a bit. With a sigh, he dried off, got dressed in his green and white school uniform, and headed downstairs for breakfast.

Despite his initial complaints, Izuku knew that he had to push through his depression and start the day off right if he wanted to make the most of his training at U.A. High School. He quickly put on his freshly pressed school tie and was about to head out the door when his phone rang - it was his mother reminding him to pack his lunch.

Katsuki's Pov:

Bakugo slowly opened his eyes, blinking away the remnants of sleep as the soft morning light filtered through the curtains of his bedroom. He let out a quiet yawn and stretched his arms above his head, feeling the satisfying pull of his muscles. As he sat up in bed, he ran a hand through his silver blonde hair, pushing back the strands that had fallen into his face during the night. The smell of fresh coffee wafted through the air, filling the room with its rich, comforting aroma.

Someone must be making coffee in the kitchen.

Shrugging off the warmth of his blanket, Kakashi swung himself off the bed and stood up, the cool wooden floor beneath his feet sending a shiver up his spine. He padded across the room to the window, pulling back the curtains to reveal the peaceful view of the village below. The streets were already bustling with activity, citizens going about their daily routines as the sun slowly rose higher in the sky.

Bakugo took a moment to appreciate the serenity of the moment before turning away from the window and heading towards the cafeteria to prepare breakfast. Today was a new day, and he dreaded to see if Izuku was serious or not.

"You make me think, 'Maybe he was right to tell me to kill myself when I was younger. Maybe I should, would he even care?!'"

Katsuki exited his dorm room, his usual scowl firmly in place as he made his way towards the cafeteria. As he entered the bustling room, the first thing he noticed was the sound of laughter coming from a table near the stove. He glanced over to see Kirishima and Izuku seated together, their faces bright and eyes crinkled with mirth.

Katsuki raised an eyebrow in confusion, wondering what could possibly be so funny. As he approached, he could see that the two of them were watching the food cooking on the stove, the aroma of delicious food wafting through the air. Despite himself, Katsuki felt a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he joined them at the table, the camaraderie between the three of them filling him with a sense of warmth and contentment.

Katsuki observed Deku from across the table, his former rival appearing uncharacteristically happy as he mingled with their friends. However, when their eyes met, it was as if a mask fell away, revealing a hint of the internal struggle that Deku was facing. Bakugo could see the underlying pain and turmoil in Deku's eyes, but before he could say anything, Deku quickly looked away and busied himself with serving food for their gathering. It was a fleeting moment of vulnerability that showed Bakugo that, despite everything, there was still a chance of losing him.

Class 1-A sat together at the long communal table in the dorm kitchen, chatting and laughing as they ate breakfast. Plates clinked and glasses clattered as they passed around various food items, sharing bites and exchanging stories from the previous day's training exercises. The room was filled with the sound of their voices, the smell of freshly cooked food, and the warmth of friendship and camaraderie.

"I can't wait until the long weekend!" Katsuki heard Mina complain as she banged her fork against the table. "I wanna go shopping instead of training all the time, yknow?" She sighed, putting her face on her palm, staring out the window.

Uraraka eagerly nodded in agreement with Mina's suggestion of going shopping together on the long weekend. " 's always on our butts about improving our gear so maybe us girls should get together and go shopping this weekend!"

The girls began to mutter excitedly about their plans to go shopping to improve their hero gear. They chatted eagerly about the latest accessories and gadgets that would help them in their battles against evil forces. They discussed which stores they would visit and which items they needed to upgrade their gear. The anticipation of finding new and powerful tools to enhance their superhero abilities filled them with excitement. With each whispered conversation, their anticipation grew, and they couldn't wait to hit the stores and boost their hero status.

Todoroki looked over from his plate at Ashido and remarked, "I don't understand the necessity to shop."

After everyone had finished eating and the dishes were cleaned, it was time to head to class. As they all gathered their bags and prepared to leave, Bakugo walked up to Izuku with his usual gruff demeanor. "Nerd," he called out, but there was a hint of playfulness in his voice. Izuku looked up in surprise, unsure of what to expect. Then, Bakugo nodded towards a different direction and simply said, "Walk."

Izuku nodded in understanding, realizing that Bakugo was inviting him to walk to class together, just the two of them. It was a small gesture, but one that spoke volumes about their evolving relationship and the bonds that were forming within Class 1-A.

Despite their rocky past and Bakugo's harsh demeanor, there was a mutual understanding between them that bonded them as classmates and rivals.

As they entered the classroom, Bakugo couldn't help but notice the way Izuku's eyes lit up at the sight of their hero costumes neatly hanging on their assigned racks. It was moments like these that reminded Bakugo of Izuku's unwavering determination and passion for becoming a hero. He may not show it often, but deep down, Bakugo respected Izuku's resilience and refused to let him outshine him. And so, with a smirk, Bakugo pushed past Izuku to grab his own costume, ready to help bring him back to his normal self.

After pairing off the students for duels based on their rankings, Aizawa gathered the class together to announce the results. Tension filled the room as everyone waited anxiously to see where they stood among their peers. With a stoic expression, Aizawa revealed that Bakugo and Izuku were ranked first and second respectively, setting the stage for a highly anticipated showdown between the two rivals.

Next up were Todoroki and Kirishima, Mina and Tsu, Uraraka and Minesta, each pair of the class reflecting the diverse talents and abilities of Class 1-A. As the rankings were revealed, some students celebrated their victories while others grappled with their losses.

Gathered in a crowd, the young blonde analyzed everyone from a far. They were all happy, chatting amongst themselves on what to do to improve themselves. However, a certain green bob wasn't a part of the crowd. He frowned when the blonde watched Izuku zone out.

"Deku, you're comi- Deku?" Uraraka had called his name and the second he heard it, Bakugo watched Izuku plaster a warm smile on his face and walk back towards the group - engaging with his friends.

"MAN, it's so manly to come in the top fifth!" Kirishima stood proudly beside Todoroki as he clasped his hand on the half-N-half quirk user. "You're so strong Shoto, I was surprised you lasted so long!" He threw a thumbs up. "Now that's manly!"

"Why is everything so manly with you?" Uraraka asked, raising a confused eyebrow. Before the red-head could reply to the opposing hero, she turned away and put her focus on Deku. "As I was saying before, you're coming with us to the mall right?" Uraraka approached Deku with a bright smile, holding out her hand as she invited him to the mall to shop for gear parts. Deku's eyes widened in surprise, a blush creeping onto his cheeks as he stammered out a response.

Bakugo's grip tightened on his arms as he watched the two of them exchange nervous glances, a twinge of jealousy flickering in his chest. He knew he should just walk away and leave them to their conversation, but he couldn't help but linger, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity as he observed their interaction from afar.

"S-Sure!"
