Chapter 14: Reunions

Several years had passed ever since Danny Fenton and Liv Baker got married. They currently lived in a mansion in Amity Park and had two kids. A girl named Melissa after her maternal grandmother and a boy named John after his ancestor from colonial times. "Ready for the Casper High reunion, Danny?" Liv Fenton asked her husband.

"Assuming there'll be no ghostly emergencies." Danny playfully replied.

"Well, at least not in New York as ghost attacks there have ceased for so long Ghost Force hasn't been seen in public for a while." Liv commented, relieved she didn't need to become Myst again.

"Mom, do we really have to go to this reunion with you?" Melissa Fenton asked her mother.

"What's wrong, big sis?" John Fenton teasingly asked. "Afraid Dash Junior will be there as well?"

"Go hunt some witches, Johnny." Melissa replied, recalling the story of the ancestor her brother was named after. "Why couldn't I have an older brother like Mom has instead of a younger one?"

"Uncle Andy wouldn't be too different in your brother's place, Melissa Fenton." Liv commented.

"Does that mean I'll become a great basketball player like him?" John excitedly asked.

"Assuming there won't be any ghost powers to give you an unfair advantage, there's a chance." Danny commented.

"Or a disadvantage if half of what Mr. Foley tells about your early days as a half-ghost are true." Melissa replied as she imagined an uncontrolled intangibility making her brother drop the basketball.

"Mr. Foley speaks too much." Danny said with a frown.

"Didn't Grandpa and Grandma Fenton and Ms. Jones already say there's no ectoplasm on sis and me?" John asked.

"Yes but I'm still afraid." Danny answered.

"Don't worry, Johnny." Melissa reassured her brother. "If we don't get any powers from Daddy, Mom still can give us some Ectocaps."

"I'll watch over them, Danny." Liv quickly told Danny.

Once that conversation ended, the Fentons went to Casper High for the class reunion. "Danny!" They heard someone calling them.

"Sam!" Danny happily exclaimed and then noticed a girl with his goth friend. "And it's good to see you again, Rachel."

"R-A-V-E-N-S!" Rachel chanted. "Go, Ravens!"

"Rachel, this is not a game or a cheerleading practice and you're not a high schooler yet." Sam scolded her daughter.

"What's wrong with the cheer practice from my time as Casper High's head cheerleader?" Paulina Sanchez-Baxter asked.

"Nothing." Sam replied. "It just evolved, unlike you."

"So, what's like no longer having a studio to run?" Liv teased Paulina based on the fact the former's parents bought Sanchez Studios after the latter ran out of ideas.

"It's fine." Paulina answered, not wanting to give Liv the satisfaction. "I'm great. Dash's contract, which your parents bought when they bought my studio, keeps him set for a long time."

"Thank you for setting it so Dash cannot be fired without justification." Liv replied with a forced smile.

"Dash was and still is similarly bound." Paulina argued. "It was a precaution just in case other studios tried to take him before we hit it big."

"Fair enough." Liv commented, remembering her parents heard basically the same from their own lawyers.

"Mommy." A young blonde boy came running towards Paulina and he was crying.

"Junior, what's wrong?" Paulina asked out of concern.

"I can't stand being near Dad when he and his buddies start talking about football." Junior said.

"Junior, you're such a geek." Paulina complained. "You're so luck your father and I are still bigshots otherwise you'd be bullied by whoever the A-Listers of your time as a Casper High student will be. And where's your sister?"

"Elena still prefers Dad over you pressuring her into being a cheerleader." Junior answered.

"Better than being a goth." Paulina muttered.

"She's an emo, Mom." Junior corrected his mother.

"Whatever." Paulina said.

Meanwhile, Dash was talking to Dale and Kwan. "Do you guys remember that swirlie fest from our graduation?" Dash asked them.

"Do you mean the one that college admissions officer caught us doing?" Kwan replied with sadness.

"We were lucky to enter community college." Dale added. "Not everyone can become actors."

"Dale and I were lucky to get jobs working for a nerd we used to humiliate." Kwan commented.

"Working for a what?" Tucker asked, getting into the conversation.

"Uh, working for a brilliant, magnificent and handsome entrepreneur we used to humiliate." Kwan fearfully corrected himself.

"You used to what?" Tucker asked, enjoying the power he had over some of his former tormentors.

"We used to make fun of, Mr. Foley?" Dale fearfully asked.

"Exactly." Tucker stated and then looked at Kwan's glasses. "Nice glasses but mine still look better."

"Yes, Sir." Kwan agreed.

"Fine." Tucker commented and walked away.

"Jerk." Dale muttered.

Tucker then returned. "Dale, I'm thinking about expanding to Death Valley and, if it happens, you might be sent there." He then left again.

"Was that an allusion to Planes: Fire and Rescue?" Dale asked.

"I don't know and I'm afraid of asking." Kwan answered.

Meanwhile, Paulina left the Fentons alone. "That was awkward." Danny commented.

"Awkward yet expected." Liv replied and then noticed Danny's ghost sense. "Ghost alert?"

"BEWARE!" It was heard and practically everyone ran away. While the Box Ghost never exactly became the ghost Danny remembered from that bad future, he became close enough to be considered an actual threat even without Pandora's box. Danny and the Box Ghost fought until Liv used a weapon to freeze the ghostly villain.

Danny then sucked the Box Ghost inside a Fenton Thermos. "Thank you, Liv." He said.

"Don't mention it, Danny." Liv replied.

"Wow, she was really afraid of losing him to Myst." Paulina commented to Star.

"Whoever marries a superhero must be ready for his enemies, Paulina." Star replied.

After the stopped ghost attack, the rest of the reunion went uneventful. One week later, they went to Liv's reunion in NYC School. "Aunt Liv! Uncle Danny! Johnny! Lissa!" A redhead boy asked.

"Jimmy, don't go too far from your mother and me." Andy said.

"Sorry, Dad." Jimmy replied.

"Hi, Uncle Andy." Melissa and John said. "Aunt Carla and cousin Jimmy!"

"Uncle Danny, is it true that you and Aunt Liv fought a ghost at the Casper High reunion?" Jimmy Baker asked.

"Yes, Jimmy." Danny proudly replied. "It was the Box Ghost."

"Is it true that, at first, that ghost was just an annoyance and you didn't really care if he was at large or not?" Jimmy asked.

"Yes, Jimmy." Danny answered.

"Make way!" They heard someone say and Andy recognized him. "Drake." Andy said with a frown.

"That's right, Baker." Drake said. "The best basketball player to attend this school after Michael Collins has just arrived!"

"Actually, I've already arrived a little while ago." Andy replied.

"Andy, why can't you accept that Drake is a better player than you?" Drake's wife Stacy asked Andy.

"Don't you know why I'm the one still with the Dragons after Drake told them that either I left the team or he left?" Andy asked Stacy.

"The Toads pay well, Baker." Drake replied.

"Shouldn't we intervene?" Charlie Collins asked her husband.

"No." Mike answered.

"May I go talk to my friends?" A girl next to them asked them.

"Yes, Christine." Mike answered.

"Thank you, Daddy!" She quickly said and went after Melissa, John and Jimmy.

As Melissa approached her friends, Andy noticed something. "Stacy, where's your sister?" He asked.

"I don't know." Stacy answered and then looked around. "Look! There she is!"

"Hi, Jane." Liv greeted her former classmate.

'This reunion is calmer than the one at Casper High was.' Danny thought.

Author's Note: I would have ended the fic at the previous chapter but I wanted to add the class reunions.
