He already had 6 wives, what did he need her? Kikyo blames Kagome for her lack of respect to the mikohood and this is her punishment. For him, it is because he has not bred anyone of his wives. He refuses to consummate their marriage and she is just fine with that. He doesn't really want any of his wives but slowly she finds herself by his side and under his watchful eyes.

29. Kikyo, Kagome, Kaugra

Kagome paced and paced. Kugra sat drinking, watching her walk back and forth.

"You are going to ruin the floor,"

"Why isn't he back yet?"

"Worried?"

"I want to fight, I can help!"

"We dont even know what is going on," But the fact that his father was here was not good.

"We can't just sit here like useless women!"

Kaugra would not argue with that, but it wasn't going to happen unless they were called on.

"Give it time, he is dealing with two problems at once,"

Kagome crossed her arms, she would have liked to say that it wasn't her fault, but it kinda was.

"No news is good news, sit down," Kaugra added pouring Kagome a glass of water.

"How can you be so calm?"

"What would you have be do?"

"Dont you want to help?"

"I am,"

Kagome looked at her flat "You are not my keeper,"

Kaugra smiled, wasn't she? Whatever the Miko needed to tell herself.

Kagome moved to sit with Kaugra when suddenly the door opened and in walked Kikyo of all people.

Now Kaugra knew it was bad.

Kagome was in pure shock and it was clear on her face.

"What are you doing here?" Kagome asked,

"Nice to see you as well Miko,"

Kaugra stood.

"Is Inuyasha here,"

Kikyo crossed her arms "Naturally,"

"You came to help," Kagome stated more than asked.

"Why else would I be here?"

"Where is Inuyasha,"

"Where my husband is, is none of your concern,"

"Did you see our Lord husband by chance?" Kaugra spoke before a fight broke out.

Kikyo looked at her "He and his father were in a heated debate, I took my leave,"

Kagome sat down.

"What has she done now?"

Kagome snapped her eyes to Kikyo "What do you mean what did I do now!?"

"Word of your travels and troubles have reached the West,"

"Is that why you came?" Kikyo asked, slightly confused.

"Surely not, he is capable of handling her,"

Kagome glared daggers at her sister Miko.

"That does not make me feel better," Kaugra stood "I knew what happened with the dragons was not the reason Lord Tashio came,"

"What did happen?" Kikyo asked,

"Tell me I didnt kill him,"

"Who?" Kikyo asked,

"Oregana's brother," Kaugra told her.

Kikyo raised an eyebrow "Well that answers the heated words between the Lord,"

Kagome groaned,

"What did you do,"

"Why do you assume it is something I did!"

Kaugra and Kikyo blinked at her.

"He started it,"

Kikyo almost rolled her eyes "You are not a child, why do you act like one," Kikyo looked around "Her brother is alive,"

Kagome breathed a sigh of relief.

"But our bond with the dragons may be at stake, not only may they back out of helping us, they may look to retaliate,"

"What!" Kagome slammed her hand on the table "That jerk tried to make a move on me!"

Kikyo wanted to smile, but this wasn't good.

"You should have let Sesshomaru deal with it," Kikyos eyes darken "Actually, you should have never been in a position for him to make a move,"

"You are blaming me!"

"You are the cause of your own undoing Kagome!" Kikyo snapped, "You dont listen, you dont follow directions, you do not obey!"

"And you do! Thats the pot calling the kettle black!"

"Time and place girl,"

"Im a woman,"

Kikyo looked her up and down making Kagome blush and backed up.

"Enough you two, tell me, Miko, did you see the dragon wife?" Kaugra asked,

Kikyo glanced at her "Briefly, by her father's side, quite angry,"

"Servers her right," Kagome went back to pacing the ground.

"Yes, but almost killing her brother and Sesshomaru disowning her is not helping anyone,"

Both Kagome and Kaugra looked at Kikyo wide-eyed "He returned her?" Kaugra asked,

"As it would seem he did with most of his wives,"

Kagura ignored Kikyo and looked at Kagome and Kagome looked at her.

He was now down to three wives, but disowning the dragon would come with backlash of diplomatic proportion. Sesshomaru was not known to make rash choices and while dropping the dragon was well within his rights of punishment for what she did it wasn't the wise thing to do at the time. But he was known for doing whatever the fuck he wanted when he wanted.

Kaugra was suspicious, why would he not wait till after this war? He knew his father needed the dragons and bad.

He didnt do anything without reason, but at the same time he didnt make moves that didnt benefit him, and this did not seem to benefit him, so why?

Kagura looked at Kagome.
