Chapter 27 The Dance Ball

Ash and Pikachu step out of the taxi, arriving back at the Pokémon Center. Inside, Delia is gently feeding her Sylveon when she notices them enter the building.

"Hello, honey! How did the Gym Battle go?" Delia asks, recalling her Sylveon and walking toward Ash and Pikachu with a warm smile.

"Thanks to sister Elena, I managed to catch on to her rhythm, and I won the badge!" Ash replies, his eyes bright with excitement.

"Oh? That's wonderful! But where are Elena and Alice? Didn't they come back with you?" Delia asks, glancing around as if expecting to see them.

"Electra and Sis are out shopping for Alice's dress. They're getting ready for the ball tonight," Ash explains.

"I see," Delia nods, a hint of amusement in her voice. "And as a prince, I assume you know what you're going to wear for this formal occasion?"

"Yes, Mother," Ash says, already heading toward his room to get dressed. Once inside, he finds a blue suit neatly folded in his backpack. As he slips it on and adjusts the tie, he catches his reflection in the mirror. "Pikachu, how do I look?" he asks, turning to his loyal companion.

Pikachu gives him a thumbs up, but Ash frowns slightly. "Thanks, but it feels like something's still missing."

Pikachu pauses, thinking for a moment, before spotting a comb on the bed. With a quick dash, he grabs it in his mouth and offers it to Ash.

Ash chuckles, taking the comb. "You're right, Pikachu. I should fix my hair. Thanks."

After a quick rub on Pikachu's head, Ash begins to comb his hair, making sure every strand is in place. He takes one last look in the mirror, nods in satisfaction, and closes his eyes, setting his face in a determined expression.

Back in the common room, Delia is feeding Pikachu again when they see Ash rush outside of the Pokémon Center, his suit forgotten on the bed. "Ash? Where are you going?" Delia calls out, startled.

"Just need to find something! I'll be right back!" Ash shouts over his shoulder, leaving Delia and Pikachu to exchange puzzled looks.

Alice stands in front of a full-length mirror, admiring the dress she's trying on in the boutique. Elena and Electra are browsing nearby when they hear her ask, "How do I look?"

Both sisters turn to face Alice. Elena's eyes light up as she takes in the sight. "You look absolutely perfect in that dress," she says with a warm smile.

"But…" Electra tilts her head, placing a hand under her chin as she examines Alice thoughtfully. "I feel like something's missing… or maybe it's just my imagination."

Alice fidgets slightly, glancing at her reflection. "Do you think Ash will like it? I'm nervous he might not…"

"Oh, please," Elena waves a hand dismissively. "Knowing my brother, he'll probably faint when he sees how stunning you are."

Alice pouts, a blush creeping onto her cheeks as the two girls share a laugh. "Not funny," she mumbles, though a small smile tugs at her lips. With a sigh, she steps back into the dressing room to change back into her regular clothes.

Once Alice is dressed, the three girls make their way to the counter, where the dress is carefully wrapped and prepared for purchase. As they wait, Alice can't help but glance at the dress, a mixture of excitement and nerves fluttering in her chest.

Meanwhile, Ash finds himself inside a jewelry store, his eyes drawn to a particular pendant displayed in a glass case. It's shaped like a delicate snowflake, and the way it catches the light seems to mesmerize him. He's been staring at it for quite some time when a smile finally spreads across his face. With newfound determination, he turns towards the counter.

"Excuse me," Ash calls out.

A worker, noticing Ash in his casual clothes, quickly recognizes him and rushes over. "Prince Ash, how may I assist you?" she asks, her tone respectful yet filled with surprise.

"I'd like to purchase this pendant," Ash begins, his voice thoughtful. "It's crafted from crystals that glow even in the dark, carved into a snowflake to showcase its beauty. The texture is so smooth, I'm certain it's the perfect gift."

The worker blinks in surprise, taken aback by Ash's keen observation. "You're absolutely right, Your Highness," she replies, her voice tinged with admiration. "May I ask, is this a gift for someone special?"

Ash nods, a soft smile playing on his lips. "Yes. The Gym Leader here, Electra, is hosting a ball, and there's a good chance I'll be dancing with someone I admire deeply. I want to give her this pendant and tell her how I feel."

The worker's eyes widen slightly, a hint of jealousy in her tone as she says, "Whoever she is, she's very fortunate." Then, with a more professional tone, she adds, "Since this pendant has such a meaningful purpose, I'll offer it to you at half the price."

Ash shakes his head, his expression firm. "No, I'd rather pay the full amount. This is a one-of-a-kind piece."

With that, he hands over the money, and after a quick transaction, he leaves the store, the pendant safely tucked away. When he returns to the Pokémon Center, he spots Elena and Alice waiting for him.

"Ash, where have you been?" Elena asks, a teasing tone in her voice.

Ash quickly hides the small bag behind his back and grins. "Just doing a bit of shopping myself. I realized my suit was missing something for the ball."

"Alright," Alice says, checking the time. "We should start getting ready, or we'll be late."

Ash nods, and they each head off to change. After a short while, they regroup at the Pokémon Center. Ash steps out in his formal attire, scanning the room until he hears a soft voice behind him.

"Ash," Alice calls out, and as he turns around, he sees her. She's wearing a white dress paired with long white gloves, and to Ash, she looks like an angel descended from heaven.

"How do I look?" Alice asks shyly, her eyes searching his for reassurance. "I don't look bad, do I?"

Ash's smile is warm and genuine. "You're perfect, Alice."

A blush spreads across Alice's cheeks at his words, and before she can stop herself, she throws her arms around him in a sudden hug. Both of them are caught off guard by the gesture.

"I'm sorry…" Alice whispers, pulling back slightly, embarrassed.

"It's fine," Ash says softly, reassuring her. "Now, let's go."

With that, Ash gently takes her arm, and together they leave the Pokémon Center, heading to catch a taxi that will take them to the ball.

"Who's that girl with Prince Ash?"
"She looks like an angel—how lucky for the prince!"
"I wish I could dance with him… or her!"

As Ash and Alice enter the grand ballroom, they can't help but notice the whispers and admiring glances from the other guests. The murmurs only grow louder as they make their way further inside, the air buzzing with excitement for the special occasion.

Soon, they spot Keira and Rodney across the room and head over to greet them.

"Rodney, Keira! It's great to see you both again," Alice says warmly.

Rodney, dressed in a simple yet striking orange suit, and Keira, wearing a pink dress that compliments her perfectly, turn to face them. Their eyes widen in surprise and admiration as they take in Ash and Alice's outfits.

"Wow, Alice… Ash… what's the occasion? You two look absolutely stunning!" Rodney exclaims, clearly impressed.

"Thank you, Rodney," Ash replies with a grin. "You both look fantastic as well. I'm guessing you were invited to the ball too?"

"Indeed," Keira nods, smiling. "After our gym battles, we thought it would be nice to unwind and enjoy a bit of relaxation."

Just then, the first notes of a waltz begin to play, filling the room with a graceful melody. Keira's eyes light up as she turns to Rodney. "It looks like the music has started. Rodney, shall we go dance?"

Rodney nods, extending his hand to her. "Of course. We'll catch up with you two later."

"Same here," Ash says with a smile, watching as the couple moves to the dance floor.

As Rodney and Keira disappear into the crowd, Ash and Alice are left standing together, the music enveloping them in its rhythm. The night has only just begun, and there's a certain magic in the air that promises unforgettable memories.

Ash turns to Alice, extending his hand with a gentle smile. "Alice, would you like to dance with me?"

Alice hesitates, her eyes flickering with uncertainty as she glances at his outstretched hand. "But... I'm not a good dancer... What if I mess up?"

"Don't worry," Ash reassures her, his voice calm and encouraging. "You have me by your side. Just go with the flow."

After a moment of contemplation, Alice nods, placing her hand in his. As they step onto the dance floor, Ash carefully guides her, their movements syncing as they melt into the rhythm of the music.

Alice can hardly believe it. Here she is, dancing with Ash—the boy she loves, who also happens to be the prince of the Sevestar Kingdom—in the middle of a formal ball. A sense of pride wells up within her as she realizes they've taken their relationship to a new level. Emboldened by the moment, she decides to ask, "Ash, you dance so well. How did you learn?"

Ash chuckles softly. "Believe me, I wasn't always a good dancer. I was just like you, making plenty of mistakes along the way. But I never gave up learning."

Alice nods, feeling a deeper connection with him as they continue to dance. The music envelops them, and for a while, they're lost in the moment, moving together as if nothing else in the world matters.

After what feels like both an eternity and a fleeting moment, they decide to take a break. Hand in hand, they make their way to the buffet table and grab some food. As they each fill a tray, they suddenly hear Elena's voice calling out to them.

"Ash, over here!" They hear Elena's voice and see her sitting at a table with a boy. Ash and Alice make their way over, curiosity piqued.

As they approach, Elena stands up with a smile. "Ash, Alice, I'd like you to meet my boyfriend, Alex. Alex, this is my brother, Ash, and his friend, Alice."

"It's a pleasure to meet you both," Alex says, giving a polite bow. "Your sister speaks very highly of you, Ash. Now that I've met you in person, I can see why she's so proud."

"Thank you," Ash replies with a smile. "So, Alex, how did you and my sister meet?"

Alex chuckles, glancing fondly at Elena. "It's a bit of a long story, but it all started when I saw her dancing near the river. She was so graceful that I couldn't take my eyes off her. But then, out of nowhere, a group of Lunape attacked her. I stepped in and managed to save her."

Elena blushes slightly, her eyes sparkling with affection. "He was like a prince charming coming to rescue Snow White. I can never thank him enough for saving me that day." She looks at Alex with a soft smile. "We started dating after getting to know each other better over the next four months."

"That's really romantic," Alice says, her voice filled with admiration.

"Indeed," Ash agrees, nodding. "Thank you, Alex, for saving my sister. I'm grateful you were there for her."

"It was my pleasure," Alex replies modestly. "Who wouldn't want to save a beautiful princess like Elena? I'm just glad I was the one who had the chance."

Elena's eyes suddenly widen as she notices Alice's neck. "Alice, I know what's missing—you forgot to wear any jewelry!"

Alice's face pales as panic sets in. "Oh no, what should I do?"

Ash immediately takes her hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Relax, Alice. You already look amazing without any jewelry."

Alice looks up at him, her face softening with relief. "You really think so?"

"I do," Ash replies with a warm smile. "But if you're still worried, I have something for you." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small box. As he opens it, the others gasp in awe. Inside is a beautiful snowflake pendant, sparkling under the ballroom lights.

"Oh my... Ash, this is beautiful..." Alice breathes, her eyes wide with wonder. "Is this... for me?"

"Of course," Ash says gently. "It's beautiful, but not as much as you are. I wanted to give you this pendant as a thank you for everything you've done for me."

Alice's eyes shimmer with emotion. "But… I'm the one who should be thanking you for all you've done for me..."

Ash takes a deep breath, his expression turning serious. "Then, if you don't mind, I'd like to make a confession."

Alice looks at him in shock as his words sink in. Her heart races as he continues.

"Alice," Ash says, his voice steady, "would you be my girlfriend?"

For a moment, Alice is too stunned to respond. The Prince of the Sevestar Kingdom is asking her to be his girlfriend. It feels like her head is spinning, and before she realizes it, her body moves on its own. She leans in and kisses Ash, her emotions overwhelming her. Ash, equally surprised, returns the kiss, and they stay like that for a few seconds, lost in the moment.

When they finally pull back, Alice smiles, tears of joy glistening in her eyes. "You don't know how much this means to me, Ash. Yes, I want to be your girlfriend. It's like a dream come true."

They share another embrace and a tender kiss, but their moment is interrupted by Elena's playful cough. "You do realize we're still here, right?"

Both Ash and Alice blush deeply, breaking apart as Alex chuckles. "Well done, Ash. You finally asked her out. Not that I'm surprised—you two are perfect together. And don't worry, I'm more than happy with Elena."

"Thanks," Ash replies, his smile widening. "And thank you too, Sis. Without your help, I don't know when I would've found the courage to do this."

Elena smiles back, her eyes twinkling. "I didn't do much. Now, why don't you two lovebirds go and dance some more?"

Ash turns to Alice, who looks even more radiant with the snowflake pendant around her neck, sparkling like a star. He extends his hand to her once more. "May I have this dance, my girlfriend?"

Alice's smile is brighter than ever. "Of course, my boyfriend."

Hand in hand, they return to the dance floor, their hearts light and full of happiness as they lose themselves in the music once again.

As the ball comes to an end, the group makes their way back to the Pokémon Center. Delia is waiting for them in the lobby, her eyes lighting up when she sees them. "So, did you all have fun?" she asks with a warm smile.

Ash grins, his happiness evident. "It went even better than I could have ever imagined."

Alice nods, her expression mirroring Ash's. "Same here. It was a wonderful night."

Pikachu, perched on Ash's shoulder, notices that he and Alice are holding hands. With a curious look, Pikachu jumps up and nuzzles Ash's cheek. "Pika-pi! You'd better tell me what's going on!"

"Later," Ash chuckles, rubbing Pikachu's ear affectionately.

Delia's gaze shifts to Alex, and her smile broadens. "Oh, Alex, it's nice to see you again."

Alex bows respectfully. "It's an honor to see you as well, Your Highness. Elena invited me to the ball, and I couldn't resist."

Delia nods, her eyes twinkling with understanding. "I see. And it looks like Ash and Alice have confessed their feelings for each other?"

Elena beams, clearly pleased. "It went even better than I imagined, Mom. But it's getting late, and we should all get some rest."

Ash agrees, giving Alice's hand a gentle squeeze. "Yeah, it's been a long day. Alice, shall we?"

"Sure," Alice replies softly, smiling up at him. Together, they say their goodnights to the family and head to their respective rooms.

As they walk down the hallway, Ash feels a warmth in his chest, knowing that the night has brought them closer than ever before.

Back in their room, Alice sits on the edge of the bed, gently holding the pendant that Ash gave her. A soft smile graces her lips as she admires its delicate design. "It's so beautiful, Ash. I still can't believe you bought this for me."

Ash sits beside her, his expression warm and caring. "Don't worry about it. Now that we're boyfriend and girlfriend, I wanted to show you how much you mean to me, to take things to the next level."

Alice's heart swells with happiness. "You've given me such a wonderful night. Thank you, Ash." She leans against him, feeling safe and content.

Ash wraps his arms around her, holding her close. "And thank you for making it happen, Alice," he murmurs.

As he pulls her into a gentle embrace, Alice giggles softly, the joy of the night bubbling up inside her. They fall back onto the bed together, their laughter filling the room as they share this tender moment, knowing they've started a new chapter in their relationship.

Here is a new chapter. And this time Alice and Ash are a couple now. I am not sure if I want to add a lemon in this story, but I hope you like this chapter.
