I suddenly remembered that red potion the Medi-witch had me drink and I walked back to the hospital wing. The Medi-witch looked at me anxiously.
"What was the potion you gave me?" I asked, "Do you know how to make it?" The Medi-witch sighed and cast a privacy spell.
"It's a family secret," the Medi-witch said, "But since you need it, I'll give you the recipe." She handed me a paper scrawled with the recipe in beautiful handwriting. "It's called 'the elixir to fix broken dreams,' but it's mainly used to fix bruising like yours as well as one other thing... What was it? I think it was poisining from some kind of difficult potion." I stared at her wide-eyed.
"Was it called 'Aeternus Praeteritus Posthāc Aetās' by any chance?" I asked. The Medi-witch stared at me for a while before she nodded.
"That's exactly it," the Medi-witch said, "How did you know?"
"I've dealt with the repercussions of it all my life," I said, "My father wanted to send me back in time as a sacrifice, but my mother who was an excellent potions maker failed eight times, before she finally succeeded and had me drink it when I was three, but then found out that it doesn't work unless activated. The activation method is being stabbed through the heart, correct?" The Medi-witch frowned.
"I don't know what you mean by sacrifice," the Medi-witch said, "But yes, the one who drank the potion would have to be stabbed in the heart for it to work. I'm sorry that you had to deal with this, Jacunda, but I have to notify someone about this. It isn't right for you to live like this. Besides, I believe you're pregnant." I frowned.
"What do you mean?" I asked, "I haven't even missed a period yet and I only slept with Tom twice these last two days."
"There's only been one case of it but one of the two girls who was sent in time due to this potion," the Medi-witch said, "She got pregnant the same day as she slept with a man and then disappeared through time. I think you better find out sooner rather than later, because that girl was my ancestor's lover." I sighed as she checked for pregnancy. "You are pregnant." I didn't want to disappear through time again, but I knew that I wanted to keep this baby.
"Thank you," I said, "I have to tell Tom." I undid the privacy spell and ran to find Tom. He was in the library reading a book 'Did My Lies Reach You?' I stared at the familiar cover. My heart pounding. I was scared that he'd hate me and take everything out on my family.
"What is it?" Tom asked after I stood there for a few minutes. It was obvious that he had been ignoring me, but I couldn't figure out why.
"I need to talk to you," I said. Tom nodded curtly and we walked over to somewhere we could have privacy.
"What is it?" Tom asked.
"I'm having your child," I said. Tom quizzically looked at me.
"I don't understand," Tom said, "How did you find out so soon?"
"That's the thing," I said, "I found out so soon because I was poisoned and I found out that I can't stay here." Suddenly, the ground shook and my body felt like it was trying to stay, but I was getting swept into time.
"No, Jacunda," Tom said, "Katie-Anne!"
Then he was gone. I was gone. I was stuck in nothingness until the baby was born. A little girl that I named Bianca Cecelia Riddle, as she was born in the nothingness. I undid my glamour charm.
After Bianca was born, I was sent back to my time, but she didn't come with me. Instead she just disappeared.
I ran into Juliet, who stared at me with wide eyes.
"Katie-Anne, is that really you?" Juliet asked, "I'm not seeing your ghost, right?"
"Of course it's me," I said, "I was sent back in time and lost my baby." Juliet started to laugh, but noticed the face I was making and stopped.
"You aren't joking?" Juliet asked.
"Of course I wouldn't joke about that," I said.
"You had a baby?" Juliet asked, "With who?"
"You're not going to believe me," I said, "So I won't tell you."
"It's been over a year since you died," Juliet said, "So everyone has been worried about the state of your family. Your arsehole of a brother is dead now too, but your Mum and Dad don't seem to care as they adopted a six year old boy about six months back, a week after Grover died. I hope they got put through the ringer, because I can't trust them either."
"Did you and Lucius finally get together?" I asked as I noticed a ring in Juliet's ring finger.
"Yeah, he proposed last night," Juliet said, "I was so giddy that seeing you made me feel like I was on cloud nine."
"So, you defeated the dark lord?" I asked.
"Yes, the three of us did," Juliet said, "I didn't imagine it would be Grover of all people." I frowned.
"No, that makes complete sense to me," I said. My stomach rumbled.
"I think we should get you something to eat," Juliet said, "Doesn't that sound good?"
"Yes, very much so," I said. I hadn't felt the need to eat while I was in that nothingness, I didn't do much of anything there except exist and have Tom's baby. Suddenly, I was pulled back into the noghingness and landed in an older Tom's lap with a six month old Bianca in my arms.
"I finally got you, Katie-Anne," Tom said. Abraxas Malfoy stared at us with his jaw open and I noticed that it wasn't just the four of us in the room and Tom was sitting on a throne.
"I guess you did," I said, "Did you meet Bianca yet?" I said as I turned Bianca to face him. Bianca reached out and grabbed Tom's lips.
"I met her before I got you to come back," Tom said. Bianca babbled.
"Oh," I said.
"But I think Bianca is a beautiful name for her," Tom said, "Bianca Cecelia Riddle, was it?" I gulped.
"Yes," I said. Bianca let go of her Dad's lips and turned to face the other way. Tom then kissed me.
"I like it," Tom said, "Everyone, leave us." And just like that, all the people who were gawking left and one of them took Bianca. Tom kissed me over and over again. Then we slept together again on the throne.
