Behind Closed Doors
Chapter 4
Later on that day
I had been summoned to the Davis estate. By call. Text. And even instructed to simply get in the car.
So i just followed that and found a limo waiting for me in front of our place. I got inside and a screen seperating me from the driver lowered.
"I'm taking you to see Mr. and Mrs Davis." The man announced.
"Thank you." Lucas said. Dreading having to deal with these people who only dealt with him because of the relationship he had with his daughter.
" in. Make yourself comfortable." Ted said.
"I'm sure you're curious as to why we asked you to come by." Victoria said.
"I'm not sure why i'm here. So yes." Lucas replied.
"You are who are our daughter picked and we are going to stay out of it. We have a real place in her life now."
"And that matters more then what we felt for you in the past." Victoria explained.
"For our daughter to agree to this engagement tells us there is more to you then we know." Ted added in.

Lucas made his way back home. Surprised that his meet up with Ted and Victoria went so well.
He entered the home. Smiling up at Brooke.
Not expecting her to be home.
"I got us pizza. Meat lovers. Sides. Drinks."
"I want to get as much wedding planning done as we can on our own. What do you think?" Brooke questioned.
"The sooner we become a married couple the better." Lucas replied.
The next couple of hours were spent figuring out and agreein to various details regarding their impending wedding day.
They locked down a date. A honeymoon location. Wrote the guest lists. Picked out their wedding colors.
What they had yet to agree on is where the wedding would happen.
At this point. It was night. They were cuddled together on the couch.
"We know we want to spend our lives together."
"But children how ready are we for that honestly?" Brooke questioned.
