On the first night of the haunted house being open to the public, the atmosphere is electric with anticipation. The warehouse is bustling with activity—people of all ages milling about, some nervously laughing as they prepare to enter the haunted house, others daring each other to be the first in line. Jack's vision has come to life in spectacular fashion, and the entire setup feels like something out of a horror movie.
Maya and Carina arrive, taking in the scene with a mix of pride and excitement. The glow from the jack-o'-lanterns scattered around the entrance casts flickering shadows, and the distant sounds of screams and eerie laughter echo from inside the haunted house. Carina's grip on Maya's hand tightens slightly as they approach the entrance.
"Are you sure you want to do this again?" Maya teases, a playful grin on her face as she looks over at Carina.
Carina bites her lip, her eyes scanning the creepy decor. "I'm not sure, but I suppose if I survived it once, I can do it again. Besides, I can't let you go in there alone."
Maya chuckles, wrapping an arm around Carina's waist. "I'll be right there with you. Besides, think of it as a way to see how all our hard work turned out. We've got to make sure it's up to our terrifying standards, right?"
Carina rolls her eyes but smiles nonetheless. "Fine. But if I scream, you're not allowed to make fun of me."
"Deal," Maya replies, leaning in to kiss her on the cheek before they join the line to enter the haunted house.
As they make their way to the front, Jack spots them and waves enthusiastically. "Hey, you two! Ready to experience the horror firsthand?"
Maya nods. "We wouldn't miss it. How's it going so far?"
Jack's grin is wide. "People are loving it. We've had a few folks turn back before even finishing, which I'd say is a sign that it's working. Jo's been amazing, by the way—she's got everything running smoothly, and the actors are really getting into it."
"That's great to hear," Carina says, her nerves evident but outweighed by her support for Maya and Jack's efforts.
Jack gestures toward the entrance. "Well, whenever you're ready. I'll let the actors know to go easy on you two. Or not." He winks, clearly enjoying the anticipation.
Taking a deep breath, Carina nods, and they step forward into the darkness of the haunted house. The moment the door closes behind them, the atmosphere shifts—the air feels cooler, and the sounds of distant groans and rattling chains create an eerie, immersive experience.
Maya holds Carina close as they navigate the twists and turns, encountering everything from flickering lights to sudden, terrifying appearances by the actors. Carina jumps and clings to Maya more than once, her heart racing, but there's also a thrill in facing the fear together.
At one particularly frightening moment, an actor dressed as a menacing ghost jumps out from behind a corner, causing Carina to let out a startled yelp. Maya immediately wraps her arms around her, whispering reassuring words in her ear, even as she grins with a mix of amusement and pride.
"Okay, maybe that one got me too," Maya admits, laughing softly as they continue through the house.
By the time they reach the exit, both women are slightly breathless, but they're also laughing—relieved and exhilarated. The cool night air is a welcome change as they step back outside, and Carina takes a deep breath, her nerves finally settling.
"See? You survived," Maya says, squeezing Carina's hand.
"Barely," Carina replies with a grin. "But it was actually kind of fun… in a terrifying sort of way."
Maya pulls her in for a quick kiss. "I'm glad you did it with me. You're pretty brave, you know?"
Carina laughs softly. "Only because I had you there with me. But I have to admit, it's amazing to see how everything turned out. Jack really created something incredible."
They stand together for a moment, taking in the sight of the excited crowd and the buzz around the haunted house.
After taking a brief stroll around the outside of the haunted house with Carina, she realizes she hasn't seen Jack in a while. Curious about how things are going on his end, she decides to look for him.
Walking through the maze of people, Maya glances around, searching for Jack. She passes by groups of excited visitors, some recounting their haunted house experiences with wide eyes and animated gestures. The atmosphere is alive with energy, and despite the creepy setting, there's a sense of camaraderie among everyone present.
As she rounds a corner near the entrance to the haunted house, she catches sight of a familiar figure—Jack, standing slightly apart from the crowd. Just as she's about to call out to him, Maya pauses, her words catching in her throat.
There, in the dim light, she sees Jack leaning in close to Jo, and before she can process what's happening, their lips meet in a kiss. It's not just a casual peck either; it's a tender, genuine kiss that speaks of affection and a deeper connection than Maya expected to see.
Maya blinks in surprise, caught off guard by the sight. She hadn't realized that Jack and Jo had grown this close, and seeing them together like this is both surprising and oddly heartwarming. After everything they've all been through recently, it's nice to see Jack finding happiness—and with someone as strong and compassionate as Jo.
She decides to give them a moment of privacy, stepping back and turning around before either of them notices her. As she walks back toward Carina, she can't help but smile to herself.
When she reaches Carina, who is chatting with a couple of guests, Maya waits for a moment until there's a lull in the conversation before gently taking her hand. Carina looks up at her with a warm smile.
"Everything okay?" Carina asks, noticing the slight smirk on Maya's face.
"More than okay," Maya replies, leaning in to whisper in Carina's ear. "I just spotted Jack and Jo… kissing."
Carina's eyes widen in surprise, and then she grins. "Really? That's wonderful! I thought they might hit it off, but I didn't realize it had gotten to that point."
"Neither did I," Maya says with a chuckle. "But it's nice to see him happy. I think they make a great pair."
Carina nods, squeezing Maya's hand. "It's always good to see love blossoming, especially after everything we've all been through. I'm happy for them."
"Well, it looks like we've got more than just a haunted house to celebrate tonight," Maya says, her smile widening. "Let's enjoy the rest of the evening—and maybe let Jack and Jo have their moment."
Carina laughs softly, nodding in agreement

Maya and Carina, dressed impeccably in their Bonnie and Clyde costumes, felt a buzz of excitement as their driver, Adam, pulled up to the massive warehouse Jack had transformed for his annual Halloween bash. The party was already in full swing, with vibrant lights and eerie decorations setting the tone for a night of thrills and chills. As they stepped out of the car, they could hear the distant echoes of laughter mixed with occasional screams from those who had dared to venture into the haunted house.
Entering the party, they made their way to the VIP section, a luxurious space with plush seating and a private bar. The area offered them a perfect vantage point to observe the lively crowd below, and they could see that Jack had gone all out—there was a palpable energy in the air, with people in every direction decked out in elaborate costumes. The creativity on display was astounding; from intricate makeup to custom-made outfits, the costumes ranged from classic monsters to imaginative takes on pop culture icons. It was clear that everyone had put in a lot of effort, making the event feel like a living, breathing carnival of the macabre.
After enjoying a few drinks and some light conversation in the VIP section, Maya and Carina decided to venture out and explore the rest of the warehouse. They wandered through the different sections of the party, passing by groups of people who were either taking photos or admiring each other's costumes. The atmosphere was a mix of excitement and suspense, as the haunted house loomed in the background, its entrance surrounded by a throng of eager participants.
Carina, clung to Maya's arm as they approached the exit of the haunted house. They stood watching as people emerged, some looking genuinely terrified, while others were laughing hysterically at the experience. The haunted house was clearly a hit, its darkened corridors and hidden scares having left a lasting impression on those brave enough to enter.
The couple continued their stroll, mingling with other guests and complimenting the costumes they encountered. There was a pair dressed as Frankenstein and his bride, their makeup so detailed it looked straight out of a movie set. Another duo had come as characters from a popular fantasy series, complete with realistic armor and weapons. Each costume told a story, and Maya and Carina found themselves marveling at the creativity on display.
As they wandered, they occasionally caught snippets of conversation about the haunted house—people recounting the scariest moments, or how they had jumped at a particularly well-timed scare. The atmosphere was charged with a delightful mix of fear and fun, a perfect blend of Halloween magic that Jack had expertly curated.
As they continued to explore, Maya kept an eye out for Jack, wanting to share in the excitement of the evening with him.
Maya and Carina settled back into the VIP section, the noise of the party humming around them like a comforting blanket. The excitement of the evening still lingered in the air, mingling with the scent of popcorn, candy, and the occasional waft of something delicious from one of the nearby food trucks Jack had hired. Carina leaned into Maya, resting her head on her shoulder, content to soak in the atmosphere.
Maya, ever the observer, found herself watching the crowd again. The energy of the party was infectious, and she couldn't help but smile at the sight of so many people enjoying themselves. She noticed a group of women dressed as the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus, their cackles perfectly mimicking the characters from the movie. Nearby, a man in a meticulously detailed Batman suit was posing for photos with a child dressed as Robin, both of them beaming with joy.
As they watched, Jack and Jo made their way over, hand in hand. Jo's cheeks were flushed, whether from the excitement of the night or the recent kiss with Jack, Maya couldn't tell, but it made her grin nonetheless. Jack looked happier than she'd seen him in a long time, and the sight filled her with a deep sense of satisfaction.
"Looks like someone's having a good time," Maya teased, raising an eyebrow at Jack.
Jack shrugged, a sheepish grin on his face. "What can I say? It's a good night." He glanced at Jo, who smiled back at him, her eyes twinkling under the ambient lights of the party.
Carina, still slightly on edge from the earlier experience, listened intently but made it clear she wouldn't be going through the haunted house again. Jack laughed, assuring her that it was perfectly fine and that he was just glad they had both come out to support him.
As the night continued, the party around them seemed to grow even more lively. More guests filtered in, each dressed more creatively than the last. A couple came in as the Addams Family, with one of them even carrying around a lifelike prop of "Thing," the disembodied hand. Another group had gone full Star Wars, complete with lightsabers and sound effects that added an extra layer of fun to the event.
Maya noticed that Carina was watching a pair dressed as Danny and Sandy from Grease, their leather jackets and poodle skirts bringing a nostalgic flair to the modern party. The sight seemed to give Carina an idea, as she turned to Maya with a mischievous glint in her eye.
"What do you say we make a little tradition of this?" Carina suggested. "Couples costumes every Halloween?"
Maya chuckled, thinking about how hesitant she had been earlier about the idea. But now, seeing how much fun everyone was having, she couldn't deny that it had been worth it. "You know what? I think that sounds like a great idea," she agreed, leaning in to kiss Carina softly.
As the night wore on, the energy at the haunted house party reached its peak. Maya and Carina were enjoying the lively atmosphere, feeling somewhat insulated from the outside world as they mingled in the VIP section. The exclusivity of the space offered them a sense of security, a brief respite from the intensity of the past few weeks.
However, their sense of peace was shattered when Maya caught sight of a familiar figure entering the party—a figure dressed provocatively in a sleek black cat costume. It was Sarah. The sight of her caused Maya's blood to boil instantly. She gripped Carina's hand tighter, her jaw clenching as she watched Sarah saunter through the crowd with a smug expression on her face.
"Maya, it's okay," Carina whispered, sensing the immediate shift in Maya's demeanor. But Maya couldn't suppress her fury.
"She's not supposed to be here," Maya hissed, her voice low but filled with barely-contained anger. "There's a restraining order, for God's sake."
The couple quickly retreated deeper into the VIP section, knowing it was the one place Sarah couldn't follow them. The restricted area offered some physical protection, but it did little to ease the emotional turmoil brewing inside Maya. She felt a storm of anger and frustration, especially as she saw Sarah glancing around, clearly searching for them.
Jack noticed the tension in Maya's expression as she approached him. "Jack," she began, her voice steely, "Sarah's here, and she's not supposed to be anywhere near Carina. We need to deal with this now."
Jack's easygoing demeanor shifted as he saw the seriousness in Maya's eyes. "She can't be here," he agreed, nodding. "I'll take care of it."
As Jack stepped out of the VIP section to confront Sarah, Maya and Carina watched anxiously from a distance. Sarah's eyes locked onto Jack, and she seemed to relish the attention as she began to speak loudly, drawing attention from nearby partygoers. To Maya's horror, Sarah started spouting personal, deeply untrue accusations about her and Carina—fabricated stories meant to tarnish their reputations. It was vile, and it cut deep.
Maya felt herself shaking with anger, but she forced herself to stay calm. She couldn't allow Sarah to bait her into a public scene. Instead, she stepped forward, her voice sharp and controlled. "Sarah, you need to leave. Now. If you don't, I'll have you removed, and I will pursue further legal action."
Sarah merely smirked, unfazed by Maya's threat. Instead of leaving, she downed another drink and turned her attention to Jack, who was clearly trying to remain composed. Sarah began hitting on him, her flirtation crass and desperate, as she ignored all the boundaries he tried to set. Jack, always respectful, kept his distance, but Sarah was relentless, going so far as to reach out and try to touch him.
Before Jack could react, Jo appeared beside him, her expression fierce. "Get your hands off him," Jo snapped, stepping between Jack and Sarah. Her tone was cold, carrying a protective edge that made it clear she wasn't going to tolerate Sarah's behavior.
Sarah sneered at Jo, dismissing her with a condescending wave. "Oh, please, don't tell me you're his girlfriend," she mocked. But Jo wasn't about to back down. She stood her ground, her anger simmering just below the surface.
"I don't care who you think you are," Jo shot back, her voice steady but brimming with anger. "You're not welcome here. And if you don't leave right now, I'll make sure you're escorted out."
The tension between the two women escalated quickly. Sarah, emboldened by the alcohol, made a snide comment about Jo's relationship with Jack, but Jo was unfazed. She was tired of Sarah's antics, and her patience had run out. When Sarah reached out to touch Jack again, Jo snapped. She grabbed Sarah's wrist and yanked it away, her eyes flashing with anger.
"Don't touch him," Jo warned, her voice dangerously low. The party around them seemed to freeze as people turned to watch the confrontation unfold.
Sarah, taken aback by Jo's assertiveness, tried to pull her arm free, but Jo held firm. "You've crossed the line, Sarah. Leave. Now."
Realizing that she was outnumbered and that the situation was quickly spiraling out of her control, Sarah finally backed down. She yanked her arm away from Jo's grasp, shooting a venomous glare at everyone before storming off, her exit as dramatic as her entrance had been.
As soon as Sarah was out of sight, the tension began to dissipate. Jack turned to Jo, a mixture of gratitude and admiration in his eyes. "Thanks for that," he said, his voice warm. "I wasn't sure how to handle her."
Jo smiled, though the adrenaline still coursed through her veins. "No problem. She was way out of line."
Maya and Carina, who had been watching from a short distance, finally relaxed. Maya's anger was still simmering, but she was deeply grateful for how Jo had handled the situation. She walked over to Jo, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Thank you, Jo," Maya said sincerely. "I don't know what we would've done without you."
Jo shrugged modestly, but there was a glint of pride in her eyes. "Just looking out for my friends," she replied.
With the situation defused, the group slowly returned to the VIP section. The rest of the night continued without incident, but the encounter with Sarah left a lingering unease in the air. Despite this, Maya and Carina were determined not to let the incident ruin the night. They stuck close to their friends, finding comfort in their support and solidarity.
As the party continued, the group found themselves laughing and joking, trying to recapture the fun and excitement they'd felt earlier in the evening. Maya kept a protective arm around Carina, silently vowing that she would do whatever it took to keep Sarah out of their lives for good.
Eventually, as the party began to wind down, Maya and Carina found themselves standing outside, looking up at the night sky. The stars were faint against the lights of the city, but there was something serene about the moment. Maya wrapped her arm around Carina's waist, pulling her close.
"I had a really great time tonight," Carina said, resting her head on Maya's shoulder.
"Me too," Maya replied, her voice soft. "It was a good break from everything."
Carina nodded, her thoughts briefly flickering to the events of the past few weeks—the business deal, the stress, the scare at the hospital. But tonight had been different. It had been about fun, about letting go and just enjoying each other's company.
"I'm glad we came," Carina whispered, turning to face Maya. "And I'm glad we have each other."
Maya smiled, her heart swelling with love. "Me too," she said, kissing Carina gently. "Let's keep making nights like this one, okay?"
Carina nodded, her smile wide and genuine. "Definitely."
Eventually, as the night drew to a close, Maya and Carina slipped away from the crowd, ready to head home.
Adam dropped them off and parked the car in the garage as Maya and Carina got on the elevator. Walking into the penthouse, Maya said she as going to get a drink from the bar in man cave. Carina followed.
Carina's eyes, dark with desire, never left Maya's as she spoke in a low, husky voice, telling her how hard it had been to resist her all night. She confessed that every glance, every touch had driven her wild with longing, and now, knowing that they could finally be together after the medical procedure, she could hardly contain herself. The anticipation had been excruciating, but now, in this private moment, they could finally give in to the desire that had been smoldering between them.
Maya, her own desire flaring at Carina's words, felt a rush of emotions. She loved how Carina looked at her, how much she wanted her, and how deeply connected they were. There was something electric about the way Carina touched her, as if she was trying to memorize every inch of her body through her fingertips. Maya could feel the heat radiating from Carina, her breath coming in soft, rapid gasps as they kissed, their lips moving together with an urgency that spoke of all the nights they had waited for this moment.
As their kiss deepened, Maya's hands began to explore Carina's body, slipping under the fabric of her costume to feel the soft skin beneath. Carina shivered at the touch, her own hands running over the muscles of Maya's back, pulling her closer. The costume felt like an unnecessary barrier between them, and Carina's fingers moved deftly, pushing aside the fabric to get to Maya's skin.
Maya's breath hitched as Carina's hands roamed over her body, each touch sending sparks of pleasure through her. There was something incredibly intimate about the way Carina touched her, as if she was trying to communicate all the love and desire she felt without words. Maya's own hands moved to explore Carina's body, tracing the curves and lines she knew so well, reveling in the feel of her.
With a soft moan, Carina pulled back slightly, just enough to look into Maya's eyes. "I've been waiting for this," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I've missed you so much… I need you, Maya." The vulnerability in her voice made Maya's heart swell with love. She leaned in, brushing a tender kiss across Carina's lips.
"You have me," Maya whispered back, her voice soft but full of promise. "You always have me."
The air between them was charged with a mixture of love, desire, and the shared understanding of what this moment meant. As they slowly undressed each other, the world outside ceased to exist. There was only the two of them, their bodies entwined, their breaths mingling as they came together in a way that felt both familiar and new.
As soon as Carina got her hands on Maya, she had to touch everything within reach. Sliding her fingers under the back of Maya's shirt, Carina started running her nails up and down Maya's back until she groaned a little.
Carina and Maya kissed like a couple of horny teenagers. Carina could feel Maya's hand slide up her thigh and onto her hip, fingertips brushing her underwear as they traveled to her waist
Maya's hands moved with a gentle yet assured confidence, exploring every inch of Carina's body as if it was the first time all over again. Carina's responses were immediate, her body arching into Maya's touch, soft moans escaping her lips. The sensation of skin against skin was intoxicating, and every kiss, every caress seemed to heighten the pleasure coursing through them both.
Carina's hands were equally busy, tracing patterns across Maya's back, pulling her closer, deeper into the kiss. The intensity of the moment was overwhelming, but in the best possible way. It was as if all the love, all the passion they had for each other was being poured into every touch, every kiss. The connection between them was undeniable, a bond that went beyond the physical, rooted in their deep love and understanding of each other.
Maya pulled back to grab Carina's underwear and yanked it off as fast as she possibly could. Once they were dispensed with, Maya crawled about halfway up Carina's body before gripping her calves and pulling them up over her shoulders. Gradually, Maya kissed her way along Carina's inner thigh until she reached the pubic bone, then repeated the action on her other leg.
One glance at Carina's face confirmed she was more than ready, her cheeks flushed, mouth popped open, back arching just a tad in anticipation. With a grin, Maya dove in face first. As she started to tease Carina's core with her tongue, she pulled her hips up a little, palming her ass, and lapped at her like a slowly melting ice cream cone.
Carina arched her back even more, hand floating to grasp Maya's hair as she planted a soft kiss on her clit. As she slowly added pressure, Carina felt one finger slide inside her like it was right at home. Soon enough, another had joined and Carina was dripping on Maya as Carina rolled her hips.
Maya lifted her head, breathing ragged, and her eyes drifted up to Carina's as she continued to ride her fingers. Maya broke into a positively giddy expression, and she resumed her mouth's work with even more enthusiasm.
Before long, Carina could feel herself tensing, fluttering around her fingers as Carina surrendered herself to her orgasm. Carina's needy moans were music to Maya's ears as Carina rode it out against her face, grunting when Maya greedily lapped up everything that spilled out of Carina.
For a moment, Carina caught her breath as Maya rested her head against the cushion of Carina's thigh. Trailing her fingers along Carina's hip as if marking her with her own scent, Maya murmured in a husky voice, "You ready?"
In response, Carina scrambled to grab some part of Maya to pull closer to her face until their bodies were aligned.
When Carina felt the full force of Maya pressing against her thigh, she grabbed Maya's cock, making her grunt a little, and lined it up against her core.
Even though Carina was aggressively wet now, taking Maya in was a slower process. It had been two weeks, and she had to readjust to the sheer size of her. Gently, Maya coaxed her through, whispering encouraging words into Carina's hair even as the tendons in Maya's neck tensed with restraint.
All Maya wanted to do was completely lose herself inside Carina. But if she hurt Carina in any way because she couldn't hold back, she would never forgive herself.
By the time Maya finally bottomed out, Carina felt like she was full to the brim. Like if Maya went any further, she would spear Carina's guts and cause some irreversible organ damage. Carina felt incredible.
As Carina started to shift herself back and forth over her length, a strangled moan rose from Maya's chest.
"Fuck, you're tight." Maya tentatively started moving her hips, still hyper aware of Carina's own comfort.
Wrapping her legs tighter around Maya, she dug her heels into Maya's tight little ass and teased, "This is what happens when you don't stretch me out over two weeks."
With a long-suffering "Fuck," Maya complied, finally letting herself go. Pushing the back of Carina's thigh closer to her chest, Maya ground her hips roughly, getting somehow deeper, charting new territory that made Carina gasp. For a few minutes, Carina's entire consciousness was consumed by Maya splitting her in two, and she loved every second.
By now, every thrust prompted a whimpering sound that might have concerned Maya if Carina didn't look so downright ecstatic. As the sound of wet skin slapping picked up and a few beads of sweat dropped from Maya's forehead to Carina's, the tightening in Carina's gut started building more intensely. Maya was positioned in a way that her stomach rolled over Carina's clit with each stroke. Between that sensation, Maya's arms limiting her movements by holding down Carina's wrist and thigh, and Maya's torso bearing down over hers, Carina was right on the precipice in no time.
"Cazzo" Carina called out "Maya, Cazzo Maya"
When Carina started whimpering a staccato combination of Maya's name and a colorful string of curses, she lowered her head until her lips brushed Carina's ear. Between hot, labored breaths against Carina's cheek, one pleading command spilled out, laced with a heady mix of desperation, force, and desire.
"Come for me." Maya growled.
And Carina did, unraveling and clenching around her, Carina's slick soaking the hairs at the base of Maya's cock. All the while, Maya stared down at Carina in wonder, eyes ravenous and needy, pupils blown until that warm brown that had become Maya's new favorite color was nowhere in sight.
By the time Carina had lost all control of her limbs, Maya's hips had started pistoning into her with less precision and more urgency. Maya could feel the telltale tug in her balls and gave a silent thanks that she'd managed to outlast Carina, that she hadn't just exploded the second Carina touched her.
Maya rasped, "Do I need to pull out?"
With a lazy smile, Carina tipped her chin up and whispered, "Inside me."
Maya slowed her thrusts slightly "But the IUD"
"Bambina I am taking the pill, now cum inside me, I need to feel you coating my insides" Carina panted
Maya didn't need to be told twice. With a guttural sigh, she finally came, coating her insides. A mottled pink had crept along Maya's shoulders and up her neck, and something about the sign of exertion was strangely satisfying for Carina.
Eventually Maya managed to extract herself, causing their combined arousal to spill onto the bedspread. Maya got up and grabbed a towel from the bathroom cleaning Carina and their mess up before rejoining Carina in their bed.
Afterward, they lay together, tangled in each other's arms, their breaths slowly evening out. Carina rested her head on Maya's chest, listening to the steady beat of her heart. Maya gently stroked Carina's hair, her fingers moving in soothing patterns as they both basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking.
"I love you," Carina whispered, her voice full of contentment.
"I love you too," Maya replied, her voice soft but firm. She pressed a kiss to the top of Carina's head, holding her close. In that moment, everything felt right. The challenges of the day, the stress of the Halloween party, the worry about Sarah – all of it faded away, leaving only the warmth of their love and the comfort of being in each other's arms.
— — —
The morning after their eventful Halloween night, Maya and Carina find themselves moving slowly, savoring the luxury of a day with no pressing commitments. The morning light streams gently through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the kitchen as Maya prepares breakfast. She's still dressed in her comfy pajamas, her hair tousled from sleep, and there's a relaxed air about her as she tends to the stove, making scrambled eggs, toast, and preparing a plate of fresh fruit.
Carina, already awake and dressed in one of Maya's oversized t-shirts, is perched on the counter, her legs swinging lazily as she sips from a steaming mug of coffee. "You know," Carina says with a playful smirk, "I still can't believe how much self-control I had last night. You in that Clyde costume… It was hard to resist jumping you right there at the party."
Maya chuckles, turning away from the stove to flash Carina a grin. "Yeah? Well, I noticed how you kept sneaking glances at me. I was starting to wonder if I should've suggested we skip the party altogether."
Carina lets out a laugh, setting her coffee mug down beside her. "And miss the drama with Sarah? How could we? Though I'm glad we had the VIP section to retreat to. That woman is relentless."
"Relentless is an understatement," Maya mutters, sliding a plate of scrambled eggs onto the table. She joins Carina by the counter, leaning in to steal a quick kiss. "But we handled it. And Jack did a pretty good job too."
Carina's eyes sparkle with amusement. "That was a surprise. Who knew Halloween could turn into such a night of confessions and revelations?"
Maya laughs as she sets the rest of the food on the table. "Right? But honestly, seeing Jack and Jo together was kind of sweet. I'm glad he's found someone who challenges him in all the right ways."
They move to the table, sitting down to enjoy their breakfast. Carina takes a bite of her toast before looking over at Maya with a more serious expression. "So, how are you feeling after everything that happened last night? With Sarah, I mean."
Maya pauses, her fork halfway to her mouth. "I'm still angry, to be honest. She crossed so many lines. But it's not just that—I'm more worried about you. I hated seeing how upset you were because of her."
Carina reaches across the table, placing her hand over Maya's. "I'm okay, especially now that we've got that restraining order in place. But I know it's still not easy, especially with her popping up like she did. It just feels like she's not going to let go."
Maya sighs, her eyes meeting Carina's. "I know. But I'm determined to put an end to this. She can't keep interfering in our lives. And last night, seeing you so turned on, so in control, it reminded me of why I fell in love with you. We're strong together, and we can handle anything—even Sarah."
Carina squeezes Maya's hand, a warm smile spreading across her face. "We'll get through it, Bambina. Together."
They continue eating, the conversation shifting to lighter topics—what movie they should watch later, whether they should go for a walk in the park, or maybe just laze around the house all day. Carina suggests taking a nap together later, and Maya teases her about how much she loves her naps.
As they finish breakfast, Carina suddenly leans back in her chair, a thoughtful look on her face. "You know, with everything going on, I've been thinking a lot about what you said last night—about starting new traditions. I love the idea of us creating our own holiday memories, especially now that we're married."
Maya nods, feeling a warm, fuzzy sensation in her chest. "Me too. I've never really had that kind of thing before, but I want it with you. Whatever we decide to do, I know it'll be special because we're doing it together."
Carina's eyes soften as she looks at Maya. "I'm so glad we found each other. You make everything better, Maya."
Maya smiles, leaning across the table to kiss Carina gently. "I feel the same way."
"Now, next up is Thanksgiving" Carina smirks.
Maya pulls Carina into an embrace, "Can we wait 24 hours before jumping into Thanksgiving." Maya laughed
"Yes, but I am going to decorate for Thanksgiving." Carina stated
"Decorate?" Maya questioned
"Have you ever decorated for the holidays?" Carina asked
"Umm," Maya thought "I am pretty sure I've had a Christmas tree at least once or twice. With work I am usually so busy it isn't worth it."
"Stupida" Carina cried out "Well we are decorating for all holidays now, especially if we are hosting anything. Halloween slipped away with all of the business changes and everything. But we are decorating. Heather and I have been ordering decorations to really transform this into a Harvest Party."
"Ok, then Martha Stewart." Maya laughed
"You will be helping" Carina pointed a finger at Maya.
"Babe," Maya groaned
"You will be helping Maya Bishop, or do you want to go another two weeks without sex." Carina teased
"Ok, but can we just relax today. My muscles are sore." Maya teased back
"Your muscles" Carina feigned outrage as she wrapped her arms around Maya and pulled hr in for a kiss.

Later that morning, as they lounged on the couch after breakfast, Maya seemed to be lost in thought. Carina noticed her quiet contemplation and gently nudged her, curious. "What's on your mind, amore?"
Maya looked at her, her expression serious but tender. "I've been thinking… now that your IUD was taken out, should I start wearing condoms? I don't want to assume anything, and I want to make sure you're comfortable."
Carina smiled, touched by Maya's thoughtfulness. "You're sweet to ask. I actually started taking oral contraceptives, so we don't have to worry about that. But I really appreciate you considering it."
Maya nodded, relief washing over her. "I'm glad you told me. I just want to make sure we're on the same page with everything. Your comfort and preferences mean a lot to me. Is there a form of protection you prefer, though? I want to do whatever makes you feel best."
Carina's heart swelled with love for Maya. She reached out and cupped Maya's face in her hands, her thumb gently brushing her cheek. "Thank you for asking, Maya. It means so much to me that you care about my feelings with all of this. Honestly, the oral contraceptives work well for me, but if anything changes or if you're ever uncomfortable, we'll talk about it."
Maya leaned into Carina's touch, feeling a deep sense of connection and love. "We're a team, Carina. I want us to make these decisions together. It's important to me that you feel safe and comfortable, always."
Carina's eyes softened, and she kissed Maya's forehead gently. "I'm so lucky to have you, Maya. I know we've been through a lot lately, but moments like this remind me why we're so strong together.
Carina excitedly pulled out her phone and started scrolling through different Thanksgiving decorations. "Maya, look at this!" she said, showing her a beautifully decorated dining table with elegant centerpieces and fall-themed place settings.
Maya glanced at the screen, trying to muster enthusiasm. "Yeah, that's… nice," she said, a little unsure. Holiday decorations weren't really her thing, but she loved how excited Carina got about them.
Carina noticed the hesitation in Maya's voice and smiled, knowing her wife was trying to be supportive. "I know it's not really your thing, but this is our first Thanksgiving as a married couple. I want to make it special," she explained, scrolling to another picture of cozy living room decor with autumn leaves and warm lighting.
Maya nodded, her reluctance softening. "I get that, and I want it to be special too. It's just… a lot of decorations," she admitted with a small laugh.
Carina giggled, scrolling through more ideas. "I promise, it'll be worth it. Just imagine how cozy and festive the whole place will feel."
As Carina continued to show her different options, Maya's eyes landed on something that made her grin. It was a blow-up turkey, the kind that would stand proudly in the yard or, in this case, the man cave. "What about this?" Maya asked, her grin widening. "Can we put this in the man cave? I think it'd be hilarious."
Carina looked at the blow-up turkey on the screen and burst out laughing. "Only you, Maya. You really want a giant turkey in the man cave?"
Maya nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely. It'll be our little Thanksgiving mascot."
Carina shook her head, still laughing. "Alright, alright. If it makes you happy, we'll get the turkey for the man cave. But don't worry, I'll make sure every room is decorated—tastefully," she added with a playful wink.
Maya leaned in and kissed Carina's cheek. "I'm counting on you for that. You're the one with the eye for this stuff."
Carina smiled warmly, loving how Maya was willing to engage in something that wasn't typically her style. "We'll make it fun, Maya. I promise. And who knows? You might end up loving the decorations more than you think."
Maya chuckled. "We'll see about that. But as long as you're happy, I'm happy."
Carina snuggled closer to Maya, feeling content. "That's all I need."
Maya's phone buzzed on the coffee table. She glanced at the screen and saw it was a call from the contractor working on their rooftop terrace. With a quick smile at Carina, she picked up the phone.
"Hello, this is Maya," she answered, sitting up a little straighter.
"Hi, Ms. Bishop. This is Tony from Elite Construction. I'm calling to give you an update on the custom T-shaped hot tub and plunge pool installation on your rooftop terrace," the contractor said, his tone professional yet friendly.
Maya's interest piqued immediately. "Oh, great! How's everything going? Are we still on schedule?"
Tony chuckled. "Actually, we're ahead of schedule. The installation is coming along really well. The foundation is complete, and we've just finished setting up the framework for the T-shaped design. It's going to look incredible up there."
Maya couldn't help but smile, excitement bubbling up inside her. "That's fantastic news! How much longer do you think it'll take before it's ready to use?"
"We're looking at another week or so, depending on the weather," Tony replied. "But barring any unexpected delays, you should be able to take a dip in about ten days."
Maya glanced at Carina, who was watching her with curious eyes, clearly trying to gauge what the conversation was about. "That's sooner than I expected. Thanks for keeping us updated, Tony. I can't wait to see it when it's done."
"Absolutely, Ms. Bishop. We'll keep you posted on any further developments. Have a great day," Tony said before hanging up.
Maya put her phone down and turned to Carina, her grin widening. "Guess what? The contractor just called. The custom hot tub and plunge pool on the rooftop terrace are almost done! They're ahead of schedule."
Carina's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? That's amazing! I can't wait to see it and try it out. It's going to be perfect for relaxing, especially with the view we have up there."
Maya nodded, sharing in her enthusiasm. "I know, right? They're saying it'll be ready in about ten days. Just in time for us to enjoy it for the holidays"
Carina leaned in and kissed Maya's cheek. "I'm so excited, Maya. It's going to be beautiful, and I love that we're making this place our own, bit by bit."
