As Thanksgiving approached, Carina, Heather, and Carlos gathered in the kitchen to finalize the day's plans. They meticulously went over every detail, ensuring that everything from the menu to the schedule was perfectly organized. Heather and Carlos were both enthusiastic, eager to contribute to making the holiday special.

In the midst of this, Maya was feeling the pressure of an important meeting with a smaller company they were looking to acquire. Jack and Maya had been deeply immersed in the negotiations, and the weight of the deal was beginning to take its toll on her. The meeting was critical, and Maya felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of work and the need to stay focused.

Carina, sensing Maya's stress, took a moment to comfort her. She approached Maya with a warm smile, putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Hey, love, I can see how stressed you are. I want you to know that Thanksgiving is completely handled. You don't need to worry about it at all."

Maya sighed, her shoulders relaxing slightly at Carina's words. "I appreciate that, Carina. This deal is really consuming all of my attention right now. It feels like there's so much to do, and I'm struggling to keep up with everything."

Carina gave Maya a comforting squeeze. "I've got everything under control with Heather and Carlos. We've been planning and preparing to make sure it's perfect for us. You focus on the business side of things, and let us handle the holiday. I promise, everything will be taken care of."

Maya looked into Carina's eyes, finding solace in her partner's unwavering support. "Thank you. It means a lot to me to know I don't have to juggle everything. I'll do my best to stay focused on this deal."

Heather chimed in with a smile. "We've got the menu sorted, and Carlos is working on the final touches for the food. You can count on us to make sure everything is perfect for Thanksgiving."

Carlos nodded in agreement, looking up from his notes. "Everything will be ready and delicious. You don't need to worry about a thing."

With Carina's assurance, Maya felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She knew she could rely on her team to handle the Thanksgiving preparations, allowing her to concentrate on the critical meeting ahead.

Carina leaned in and kissed Maya's cheek gently. "Remember, this is a time to be grateful and enjoy. We'll have a beautiful holiday together, and I'm excited for us to celebrate."

Maya smiled, her stress easing as she took in Carina's words. "I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for being so supportive."

Carina, Heather, and Carlos gathered in the kitchen, a bustling hub of activity as they finalized their Thanksgiving Day plans. The aroma of seasonal spices and savory dishes filled the air, setting the tone for a productive and festive session.

Carina laid out a detailed plan on the kitchen counter, her list meticulously organized. "Alright, we need to go over the final touches. Heather, have we confirmed the timing for the appetizers and main courses?"

Heather, who had been sorting through a stack of recipe cards, nodded with a smile. "Yes, the appetizers will be ready by 2 PM. The main courses should be coming out of the oven around 4 PM. I've also prepared a schedule for setting up the dining area and serving everything."

Carlos, who had been busy prepping ingredients, chimed in with his input. "The turkey's brining. I will start on prepping side dishes tomorrow. The dessert table will be set up after dinner so that it's fresh."

Carina glanced over the list and made a few notes. "Great. We also need to finalize the decoration setup and ensure the dining table is ready. I want everything to look perfect for Maya and our guests."

Heather, ever the detail-oriented organizer, took a deep breath. "The table settings are all laid out. We just need to make sure the centerpiece is in place and the candles are lit. I've also planned a few extra touches to make the table look extra special."

Heather added, "I've got the playlist for the dinner ready, too. We can have some soft music playing in the background to enhance the atmosphere."

Carina smiled, clearly pleased with the progress. "Perfect. And let's not forget the timeline for when we need to start heating things up and getting everything plated. I'll make sure everything is timed so that we're all set by the time the guests arrive."

Heather nodded in agreement. "I'll take care of setting up the dining area and coordinating with Carlos on the timing. We should be in good shape."

As they went over the final details, Carina felt a wave of satisfaction. With Heather and Carlos handling everything so efficiently, she knew that Thanksgiving would be a success. The kitchen was filled with a sense of camaraderie and excitement as they continued to prepare for the big day.

Carina looked at Heather and Carlos, her gratitude evident. "Thank you both for all your hard work. I'm so glad we're all in this together. It's going to be a wonderful Thanksgiving."

Heather and Carlos exchanged smiles, their enthusiasm matching Carina's. "Absolutely," Heather said. "It's going to be a great holiday."

Carlos nodded in agreement. "We've got everything under control. Let's make this Thanksgiving one to remember."

"And you are both bringing your families correct?" Carina questioned.

Heather smiled, "Yes, my husband is excited to be here for Thanksgiving. Being in the military its always a hit or miss if he will be home for a holiday. I really do appreciate you and Maya welcoming him here for the celebration."

"I can not wait to meet him," Carina smiled back. "And you Carlos?"

"My sister and nephew are also excited to join in the celebration." Carlos replied "Thanks again for inviting them"

"Carlos your family is our family" Carina smiled

Lucia called Carina with her usual warmth and concern. As Carina answered the phone, she could hear the familiar, comforting voice of her mother on the other end.

"Hello, Carina, dear. How are you doing?" Lucia's voice was filled with genuine interest and motherly care.

Carina, smiling despite the busy preparations, responded, "Hi, Mamma. I'm doing well. We're in full Thanksgiving prep mode over here. How are you?"

Lucia's tone brightened. "Oh, we're doing well too. I was just thinking about you and wanted to see if you needed any help with Thanksgiving preparations. I know it can be a lot to manage."

Carina appreciated the offer and took a moment to consider. "That's so thoughtful of you, Mamma. We've got most things under control. Heather and Carlos are doing a great job with the cooking and setup. But if you're offering, we could use some extra hands, especially with the last-minute details."

Lucia was eager to help. "I'd be more than happy to lend a hand. What do you need help with? I can come over a day or two before Thanksgiving to assist with anything you might need."

Carina thought for a moment, her mind running through the checklist of tasks remaining. "Actually, that would be wonderful. We could use some help with organizing the dessert table and making sure everything is set up for the guests. If you could come over early on Thanksgiving, that would be perfect."

Lucia agreed immediately. "I'll be there. Just let me know what time works best, and I'll bring whatever you need. I'm really looking forward to it."

Carina felt a wave of relief and gratitude. "Thank you so much, Mamma. I really appreciate it. It'll be great to have you here."

Lucia's voice softened. "Of course, dear. It's always a pleasure to help. And don't worry too much. It'll all come together beautifully."

They chatted a bit longer, discussing the final details and making plans. As they wrapped up the call, Carina felt reassured knowing her mother would be there to help with the preparations.

"Thanks again, Mamma. I'll see you early on Thanksgiving," Carina said.

Lucia replied warmly, "Looking forward to it. Take care and don't stress too much. We'll make sure everything is perfect."

Carina woke up early on Thanksgiving morning, the soft light of dawn filtering through the curtains of their bedroom. She wanted to ensure that Maya, who had been working late into the night preparing for the meeting with the smaller company, could have a restful start to the holiday.

After quietly slipping out of bed, Carina moved about the kitchen, her footsteps light on the hardwood floor. She started a fresh pot of coffee, enjoying the comforting aroma that began to fill the air. With the coffee brewing, Carina checked in with Heather and Carlos. They were already bustling about, preparing the final touches for the Thanksgiving feast. Heather was in the kitchen, organizing the serving dishes, while Carlos was putting the finishing touches on the main courses. Carina reassured them that everything was on track and thanked them for their hard work.

As the coffee finished brewing, Carina poured a steaming cup and carried it back to the bedroom. She gently opened the door and walked over to the bed, where Maya was still peacefully asleep. Carina set the cup on the bedside table, careful not to make too much noise. She leaned over and softly kissed Maya's cheek.

"Maya, sweetheart," Carina whispered, her voice gentle. "I've brought you some coffee. It's Thanksgiving, so I thought you deserved a little extra rest."

Maya stirred, blinking awake with a sleepy smile. She turned her head towards Carina, her eyes still heavy with sleep. "Mmm, thank you," she murmured, reaching out for the coffee. "You're the best."

Carina sat down on the edge of the bed, her heart full of affection as she watched Maya take a sip of coffee. "I wanted to make sure you could sleep in today. You've been working so hard."

Maya stretched and smiled, feeling a surge of gratitude for Carina's thoughtfulness. "You're amazing. I really needed this," she said, taking another sip. "How's everything going with the preparations?"

Carina grinned, leaning in to kiss Maya's forehead. "Everything's under control. Heather and Carlos are on top of it. My mom's coming over later to help with the final touches. It's all coming together."

Maya's eyes softened as she looked at Carina. "I'm so lucky to have you. Thank you for taking care of everything."

Carina took Maya's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "It's my pleasure. I just want us to have a wonderful day together. And now, you should relax and enjoy your coffee. I'll handle the rest."

Maya smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Alright, I'll take you up on that offer. Thanks, Carina."

A few hours later, Carina stepped into the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for the busy day ahead. She knew there was still so much to do before their Thanksgiving guests arrived. Carina had managed to set aside time for herself, but with everything going on, she was feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Meanwhile, Maya was sitting in her home office, working through some last-minute details. Her mind kept drifting to Carina. The thought of Carina stressing about the day and trying to handle everything alone made Maya feel a pang of concern. She wanted to be there for her partner in every way possible.

Deciding to take a break from work, Maya stood up and walked towards their bedroom. As she passed the bathroom, she saw Carina's silhouette behind the frosted glass of the shower door. Maya paused, her heart swelling with affection. She could see how much effort Carina had put into everything, and she wanted to do whatever she could to ease her stress.

Maya gently knocked on the bathroom door before pushing it open slightly. "Hey," she called out, her voice warm and inviting. "Mind if I join you?"

Carina, startled at first, poked her head out from behind the shower curtain. "Maya, you don't have to," she said, her tone a mix of surprise and reluctance. "We have so much to do, and—"

Maya stepped inside the bathroom, her gaze soft and understanding. She reached out and touched Carina's arm gently, the warmth of her touch calming. "I know we have a lot to do, but I just want to be with you. Let me help you relax for a bit. It's important that we both take a moment to unwind."

Carina's resolve started to melt away as she looked into Maya's eyes. She could see the genuine care and concern there. With a sigh, Carina nodded and smiled. "Alright, but just for a bit. We do have a lot on our plate."

Maya's face lit up with a relieved smile. "Thank you," she said, stepping closer and slipping into the shower with Carina. The warm water cascaded over them as Maya's hands began to gently massage Carina's shoulders, her touch tender and soothing.

Carina closed her eyes, letting out a contented sigh as she leaned into Maya's touch. The stress of the morning began to dissipate, replaced by the comforting presence of her partner. "You always know how to make everything better," Carina murmured, her voice soft and grateful.

Maya continued her gentle massage, her fingers working to ease the tension from Carina's muscles. "I'm just here for you," she said, her tone reassuring. "We'll get through everything together. It's our first Thanksgiving as a married couple, and it's going to be perfect."

Maya sits bare-assed on the bench in the shower, pulling Carina onto her lap. In succession, she feels water hitting her back, streaming down her face, and then - Maya's mouth hungrily taking hers. Carina repositions herself so she is straddling Maya on the bench. Carina can feel Maya hard underneath her, and slowly rubs herself back and forth over her. Carina can feel her clit throbbing and every muscle in her body tighten with every stroke of friction. Maya lets out an impatient groan and, in Carina's next roll over her, re-angles herself.

With one hand, she reaches down and angles her cock so that it pushes into Carina slowly, letting her body readjust to her girth. Maya lets out an incoherent grumble, something that sounds like a swear. At this, Carina lets out a breathy moan, and together they move in tandem, pushing and pulling as the shower continues to pulse onto them. Maya reaches a hand to Carina's stomach, letting her thumb rub circles around Carina's clit as she grinds into her. Carina closes her eyes and bites the corner of her lip, nearly drawing blood as she again begins to lose control of her legs, her thigh muscles twitching. Maya catches this and pulls her face back to hers, going in for another deep kiss before breaking to catch her breath. Maya leans over and speaks softly into her ear, "Tell me you're close, please. I don't know how much longer I can hold it."

Before Carina can say anything in response to Maya, her thumb adds another bit of pressure, and with her other hand, she grabs Carina's ass, her fingers wildly close to another area they've flirted with but have yet to try. The gesture is rough, causing Carina to double down on her pace as she rides Maya. Within minutes, she can feel the heat rush her core through her legs, and Carina cries out as she begins to shake.

Maya squeezes Carina's ass and with a few pumps and a very loud groan, she can feel herself release into her. Maya drags her hands to Carina's face, pulling her in for a kiss as the water continues to rain on them. They stay like this, wordlessly, for another minute until they look at each other, and the state of them both. They simultaneously burst out in smiles, and after a kiss on Carina's forehead, Maya helps her onto her feet. Maya stands up, turns off the water, and then reaches for the towels.

"Can't leave the guests waiting now" Maya smirked as she began to dry off heading to her closet to get ready.

Carina smiled, her stress fading away as she enjoyed the moment of intimacy with Maya. "You're right. It's going to be wonderful."

Lucia arrives early on Thanksgiving morning, a warm smile on her face as she steps into the bustling kitchen. The air is thick with the aroma of roasting turkey and freshly baked bread, and the sound of laughter and chatter fills the room. Heather is at the stove, stirring a pot of gravy, while Carlos carefully arranges platters of appetizers. Carina, a bit flustered but determined, is directing the final touches on the dining table.

"Buongiorno, everyone!" Lucia calls out cheerfully as she sets down a basket of freshly picked herbs from her garden. "I thought these might add a little something extra to the dishes."

Carina beams at her mother. "Mamma, you didn't have to bring anything, but I'm so glad you did. These herbs will be perfect."

Lucia steps closer to Carina, giving her a gentle hug. "I wanted to help. You're doing such a wonderful job with everything, but a little extra pair of hands never hurts, especially today."

Carina sighs, a mixture of relief and exhaustion. "I'm just so glad you're here. It's our first Thanksgiving in this house, and I want it to be special."

"It will be," Lucia reassures her, squeezing her daughter's hand. "You've done an amazing job, and now we just need to add the finishing touches."

As they get to work, Lucia seamlessly integrates herself into the preparations, moving between tasks with the ease of someone who's spent years perfecting the art of hosting. She chats with Heather about the timing of the dishes and with Carlos about the wine pairings.

Meanwhile, Maya peeks into the kitchen from her home office, where she's been glued to her computer, dealing with the stress of an upcoming business acquisition. She sees the scene unfolding—a harmonious blend of family, food, and festive spirit—and a sense of warmth and appreciation fills her.

Taking a deep breath, Maya steps into the kitchen. "Everything smells amazing in here," she says, trying to shake off the tension of her work. "I'm sorry I've been so buried in work. You all have done so much."

Lucia waves her hand dismissively. "Nonsense, Maya. You're working hard, too, and that's important. But now, it's time to relax and enjoy the day with family."

Carina turns to Maya, a soft smile on her face. "Why don't you come and help us with the final touches? It might help you unwind."

Maya nods, feeling the tightness in her shoulders begin to ease. "I'd like that. What can I do?"

Lucia quickly assigns her a task, and soon, Maya is setting the table with Carina, arranging the centerpiece and lighting the candles. As they work side by side, Carina leans in close and whispers, "Thank you for letting me take care of Thanksgiving. I know you've been under a lot of pressure, but this means a lot to me."

Maya glances at her wife, her heart swelling with affection. "I should be the one thanking you, Carina. You've made this place feel like home, and I couldn't ask for more."

Carina smiles, her eyes sparkling with love. "We're a team, Maya. Today, we're going to celebrate that, surrounded by everyone we care about."

As Jack and Jo step through the door, the rich aroma of turkey and spices greets them, mingling with the warmth of the room. Jack, carrying a bottle of wine, grins as he hands it to Maya. "This one's for after the meal when we're all too stuffed to move," he jokes, earning a laugh from Maya.

Jo, holding a perfectly baked apple pie, looks around at the beautifully decorated space. "This place looks amazing, Carina! You've really outdone yourself."

Carina, beaming, wipes her hands on her apron and steps over to greet them. "Thank you, Jo! It's all thanks to everyone pitching in. I couldn't have done it without Heather and Carlos."

Vic and Gabrielle arrive next, bringing their usual energy into the room. "We brought the mac and cheese—just like you requested," Vic says, placing the dish on the counter. Gabrielle, eyes twinkling, adds, "And I brought a little something extra—a surprise dessert."

"You two always know how to bring the party," Carina says, giving them each a hug.

As Carlos's sister and her young nephew step in, Carina immediately kneels down to greet the boy, who looks around the penthouse with wide eyes. "This place is huge!" he exclaims, tugging at his mother's sleeve. Carina chuckles, standing back up. "It's a little big, but it feels cozy today with everyone here."

Heather's husband, still in uniform, arrives last, and Heather rushes into his arms. The room falls silent for a moment as everyone acknowledges his presence with a sense of respect. "Welcome home," Maya says softly, shaking his hand. The mood quickly lightens as he is drawn into conversations, the weight of his return easing in the warmth of family and friends.

In the kitchen, Lucia is bustling around, making sure every dish is just right. She looks up as Carina joins her, a smile lighting her face. "Everything is coming together perfectly, Carina. You've done a wonderful job."

Carina wipes her brow, taking a moment to glance around at the organized chaos.

Maya walks over, catching the end of their conversation. She wraps an arm around Carina's waist. "It's a team effort. And by the way, that blow-up turkey in the man cave is my contribution."

Lucia chuckles, shaking her head. "Of course it is. But I'll admit, it adds a bit of fun to the room."

As the doorbell rings, the lively atmosphere in the penthouse grows even more festive. Carina and Maya exchange a quick glance, both feeling the excitement and anticipation of welcoming more family into their home. Heather hurries to the door and opens it, revealing Vincenzo, Kathleen, Lane, Mason, and his girlfriend, Emily.

"Happy Thanksgiving!" Vincenzo exclaims, his voice booming with enthusiasm as he steps inside, his arms laden with bottles of wine. Kathleen follows close behind, her eyes bright as she takes in the decorations.

"Wow, this place looks incredible!" Kathleen remarks, smiling warmly as she hands Carina a beautifully wrapped bouquet of autumn flowers. "You've really outdone yourselves."

Carina takes the bouquet, beaming. "Grazie, Kathleen. It's our first Thanksgiving in this house, so we wanted to make it special. And these flowers are perfect—thank you."

Vincenzo leans in to kiss Carina on both cheeks, then shakes Maya's hand firmly. "It smells amazing in here. I can't wait to dig in!"

Lane enters next, his demeanor slightly stiff, but he manages a smile as he greets his daughter. "Maya," he says, nodding at her. "Carina."

"Dad," Maya replies, giving him a quick hug. "Glad you could make it."

Mason walks in behind Lane, looking a bit sheepish as he pulls Emily forward. "Hey, everyone. This is Emily," he introduces, a bit of pride in his voice. "Emily, this is my sister, Maya, and her wife, Carina."

Emily, a petite woman with dark hair and a friendly smile, steps forward and offers her hand. "It's so nice to finally meet you both. Mason's told me so much about you."

Maya shakes her hand, feeling an instant warmth towards her brother's girlfriend. "It's great to meet you, Emily. Welcome to our home."

Carina adds, "We're so happy you could join us for Thanksgiving."

As the group moves into the living room, Vincenzo and Lane immediately start discussing the wines Vincenzo brought, while Mason and Emily make their way over to the beautifully set dining table, admiring the decorations. Kathleen joins Carina in the kitchen, offering to help with the final touches.

"Everything's going so well," Kathleen observes, as she and Carina finish arranging the desserts on the sideboard. "You must be exhausted, though."

Carina chuckles, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "It's been a lot of work, but it's worth it. Maya's been busy with the business, so I wanted to make sure everything was perfect."

Kathleen gives her a knowing look. "You're a good partner, Carina. And it shows."

Meanwhile, Maya pulls Mason aside, away from the hustle and bustle. "Thanks for coming, Mason," she says, her tone a mix of affection and concern. "How's everything going with you?"

Mason shrugs, glancing at Emily, who's now engaged in conversation with Vincenzo. "It's been good. Busy with work, but Emily's been a great support."

Maya nods, feeling a sense of relief that Mason seems to be doing well. "I'm glad to hear that. And Emily seems wonderful."

"She is," Mason agrees, a small smile playing on his lips. "She's been really great for me."

Before they can continue, Lane and Vincenzo join them, both holding glasses of wine. "Maya," Lane says, his voice a bit more relaxed now. "I wanted to talk to you about the business, but maybe we should wait until after dinner."

Maya nods, feeling a twinge of apprehension but keeping it under control. "Yeah, let's enjoy the meal first. We can talk business later."

Lane pulls Maya aside, lowering his voice. "I've been hearing about some changes at the company—combining departments, merging IT? What's going on?"

Maya tenses but keeps her voice steady. "We're making moves to streamline the business. It's all part of the plan, and it's going to benefit everyone."

Lane looks unconvinced, but before he can press further, Vincenzo steps in, smiling broadly as he hands Carina a bottle of wine. "It's good to see the family together like this. Let's not talk business today, yes? Today is about being thankful."

Maya nods, grateful for the diversion, and guides everyone into the living room. As people settle in, Jack and Jo engage in a lighthearted debate about whether pumpkin pie or pecan pie is superior, while Gabrielle and Vic talk about their latest travel plans.

Heather's husband is deep in conversation with Carlos about his latest culinary creations, and the atmosphere is one of warmth and laughter. Maya watches Carina as she moves around the room, making sure everyone feels welcome, and she feels a swell of pride. Despite the challenges they've faced, they've created something truly special together.

The long dining table, adorned with elegant autumnal decorations, is set with an array of traditional Thanksgiving dishes—turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and more. The rich aroma of the feast fills the air, making everyone's mouth water in anticipation.

Carina takes her place at the head of the table, with Maya beside her. Carina looks around the table at the faces of their loved ones, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over her. "Before we start, I just want to say how thankful I am to have all of you here with us today," Carina begins, her voice full of emotion. "This is our first Thanksgiving as a married couple, and it means so much to us to be surrounded by the people we love."

Maya nods in agreement, her hand resting on Carina's. "We've both had a lot of changes this year—new roles, new responsibilities, and building a life together. Having all of you here, supporting us, and sharing in this moment is something we'll always cherish."

Lucia, sitting nearby, smiles warmly at her daughter and daughter-in-law. "We're all so proud of both of you. You've worked so hard to create this beautiful life together, and it's wonderful to see you both so happy."

Vincenzo, who has been relatively quiet throughout the evening, raises his glass. "To family," he says simply, his deep voice resonating in the room. "And to the future we're all building together."

Everyone lifts their glasses in a toast, and the clinking of crystal fills the room. "Salute!" echoes around the table, with glasses raised high.

Jack, always the joker, chimes in with a grin. "And to the blow-up turkey in the man cave. Because really, what's Thanksgiving without a little bit of fun?"

The table erupts in laughter, easing any lingering tension from earlier discussions. The mood lightens as everyone begins to dig into the delicious food, passing dishes around the table and filling their plates.

As the meal progresses, the conversation flows naturally. Jo and Jack share stories from their latest adventures, with Jack trying to get everyone to guess what elaborate costume he's planning for next year's Halloween. Vic and Gabrielle talk about their plans for the holidays, and Mason and his girlfriend share funny anecdotes from their latest trip.

Heather's husband, who is on leave from the military, talks about some of the places he's been stationed, and Carlos's sister shares stories about her son's antics, much to everyone's amusement. The room is filled with the sounds of laughter, clinking silverware, and the comforting murmur of voices—everyone is at ease, enjoying each other's company.

As the evening wears on and everyone gathers around the table, the conversation turns to what everyone is thankful for. Carina looks at Maya, her eyes shining. "I'm thankful for this family, for the love and support we have, and for the future we're building together."

Maya squeezes her hand under the table. "And I'm thankful for you, for all the joy you bring into my life, and for the strength you give me every day."

The table falls quiet for a moment as everyone takes in the sentiment. Then, in true family fashion, the moment is broken by Jack making a joke about how he's just thankful that Jo agreed to come to dinner with him. The room bursts into laughter, and the conversation flows easily once more.

After everyone finishes their meal, Carina stands up with a warm smile. "Would anyone like a tour of the penthouse? I know some of you haven't seen the whole place yet."

There's a murmur of agreement as everyone pushes back their chairs and begins to stand. Carina takes Maya's hand and leads the group out of the dining room, starting with the expansive living area where the large windows offer a breathtaking view of the city skyline.

"This is our main living space," Carina begins, gesturing around the room. "We wanted it to be open and welcoming, with plenty of natural light."

Jo marvels at the space, running her fingers along the back of a sleek, modern couch. "It's stunning, Carina. And the view...wow."

Carina smiles, pleased. "We fell in love with the view when we first saw the place. It's especially beautiful at sunset."

She leads the group toward the kitchen next, where the polished marble countertops gleam under the soft overhead lights. "This is the heart of the home, where Maya and I—well, mostly Carlos—spend a lot of time."

Carlos, who's been quietly observing, chuckles. "I do try to keep them well-fed."

Heather's husband nods appreciatively as he examines the state-of-the-art appliances. "This is a chef's dream."

Carina guides them down the hall, pointing out the guest rooms along the way, each thoughtfully decorated with cozy bedding and art on the walls. "We wanted our guests to feel at home, so each room has its own unique style," she explains.

As they reach the master suite, Carina hesitates for a moment before pushing open the double doors. The room is spacious, with soft, neutral tones and large windows that let in plenty of light. "This is where Maya and I unwind at the end of the day," Carina says softly, glancing at Maya, who gives her a warm smile.

Lucia steps inside and immediately notices the small personal touches—photos of Maya and Carina on their wedding day, a vase of fresh flowers on the bedside table, and a cozy armchair by the window. "It's beautiful, Carina," she says, her voice filled with emotion. "You've created a real home here."

"Thank you, Mama," Carina replies, squeezing Lucia's hand.

They move on to the rooftop terrace next, where the group steps outside into the cool evening air. Carina points out the various seating areas, the lush greenery that lines the space, and the newly installed custom T-shaped hot tub/plunge pool. "This is our little oasis in the city," she says, her voice filled with pride. "It's the perfect place to relax after a long day."

Mason looks impressed as he examines the hot tub. "This is amazing. I can see why you'd want to unwind up here."

Gabrielle, taking in the view, adds, "I can only imagine how peaceful it must be to soak in the hot tub and look out at the city lights."

Carina nods, leaning into Maya's side. "It's one of our favorite spots. We spend a lot of evenings up here, just enjoying the quiet and each other's company. The hot tub is brand new we haven't had a chance tot test it out yet."

As they head back inside, Carina takes a deep breath, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. "And finally, we have the man cave," she announces with a playful grin. She opens the door to reveal the space Maya has claimed as her own—a cozy, comfortable room with a large TV, plush seating, and of course, the blow-up turkey proudly displayed in the corner.

Jack laughs when he sees it. "This is awesome, Maya. I knew you'd find a way to sneak in some fun."

Maya grins, wrapping an arm around Carina's waist. "What can I say? It's a bit of my personality shining through."

As the tour comes to an end, Carina looks around at the smiling faces of their friends and family, feeling grateful for the life they've built together. "Thank you all for being here today," she says, her voice filled with emotion. "This place wouldn't feel like home without all of you."

Maya nods in agreement, adding, "We're lucky to have such amazing people in our lives. This is what makes it all worth it."

After the meal was complete most of the guests headed out, leaving Jack and Jo, Gabrielle and Vic staying. Maya continued to shut Lane down about discussing business telling him that she would be all ears in the office Monday to discuss anything he would like.

Maya, feeling the weight of the day finally lifting, leans over to Carina. "What do you think about taking everyone up to the rooftop to enjoy the new hot tub? It's the perfect way to end the night."

Carina smiles, her eyes lighting up at the idea. "That sounds wonderful. We could bring up some drinks and just unwind under the stars."

Maya nods, turning to the group. "How about we take this party upstairs? The rooftop hot tub is calling our names."

Jack, always up for some fun, grins. "Now that's what I'm talking about. I could use a good soak after all that turkey."

Jo, sitting beside him, nudges him playfully. "You just want an excuse to show off your swim trunks, don't you?"

Gabrielle and Vic exchange amused glances, clearly on board with the idea. "I'm in," Gabrielle says, stretching lazily. "That sounds like the perfect way to cap off the night."

Everyone agrees, and after gathering their drinks and a few essentials, they all make their way up to the rooftop. The night air is cool and crisp, with the city skyline glittering in the distance. The rooftop terrace is softly lit, creating a serene ambiance that immediately puts everyone at ease.

The hot tub, nestled in the gardens on the terrace, is already heated and steaming, inviting them in. Maya takes Carina's hand and helps her step into the warm water, the tension in her shoulders melting away as she sinks into the bubbling comfort. Jack and Jo follow, with Jack playfully splashing Jo as they settle in. Gabrielle and Vic join them, taking spots on the opposite side of the tub.

The group relaxes into the water, the warmth soaking into their muscles as they sip their drinks. The conversation drifts naturally, laughter and light banter filling the air.

"This is the life," Jack says with a satisfied sigh, leaning back against the tub's edge. "Good food, great company, and a hot tub under the stars. Can't ask for more."

Carina, leaning against Maya, smiles contentedly. "I agree. It's moments like these that make everything worth it."

Maya wraps an arm around Carina, pulling her close. "I'm so glad we get to share this with everyone. It feels like the perfect ending to a perfect day."

Jo, who has been quietly enjoying the scene, speaks up. "It's nice to take a moment to just...be. No work, no stress, just relaxing with friends."

Gabrielle nods, taking a sip of her drink. "And the view up here is incredible. I could get used to this."

As they continue to soak in the hot tub, the conversation becomes more intimate, with everyone sharing stories and reminiscing about old times. The stars twinkle above them, the city lights below creating a beautiful contrast to the peaceful night sky.

Jack leans back and looks around, admiring the setup. The T-shaped design of the hot tub fits perfectly on the rooftop terrace, creating a comfortable and inviting space for everyone to gather.

"You know, Maya," Jack starts, turning to her with an appreciative nod, "this T-shape is genius. It fits perfectly in the space and gives everyone plenty of room to stretch out. Did you come up with this design?"

Maya grins, feeling a bit of pride. "Yeah, Carina and I wanted something that would make the most of the terrace. We went back and forth with the contractor on the design, and the T-shape just made sense. It's the first night we've actually gotten in it, though. I'm glad it's getting some good use."

Jack chuckles, taking a sip of his drink. "First night, huh? Well, it's definitely worth the wait. It's got me thinking about getting something similar for my place. Who did you go with for the installation? I might have to give them a call."

Maya leans back against the edge of the hot tub, thinking for a moment. "The contractor's name is Tom Wilkins. He specializes in custom installations like this. Really knows his stuff. He worked with us to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it."

Jack nods, clearly impressed. "Sounds like my kind of guy. I'll have to look him up. I've been thinking of upgrading my outdoor space, and this is giving me some serious inspiration."

Carina, listening to the conversation, smiles and chimes in. "Tom was great. He really understood our vision and made it happen. Plus, he was super patient with all the changes we made along the way."

Maya laughs, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, we definitely put him through his paces, but he delivered. The best part is how the T-shape allows for different seating areas. We can all relax without feeling cramped."

Jack raises his glass in a mock toast. "Here's to good design and an even better hangout spot. I'm definitely going to look into this."

The group decides to play a fun game to keep the mood light and interactive. With drinks in hand and the warm glow of the rooftop lights casting a cozy ambiance, they start the "Honeymoon Game," where couples take turns answering questions about each other to see how well they know their partners.

Maya and Carina, Jack and Jo, and Gabrielle and Vic are all eager to participate. The rules are simple: one partner answers questions about their significant other, and the other partner checks if the answers are correct. It's a mix of personal trivia and light-hearted fun.

Jack, who's sitting next to Jo, starts by asking a question. "Okay, Jo, let's start easy. What's my favorite childhood memory?"

Jo thinks for a moment, then answers confidently, "That summer you spent at your grandparents' lake house, right?"

Jack grins and nods. "Exactly! Good start. Your turn."

Jo turns to Jack and asks, "What's my go-to comfort food?"

Jack quickly replies, "Mac and cheese with extra bacon bits."

Jo claps her hands in delight. "Nailed it!"

Next up, Gabrielle and Vic take their turn. Gabrielle looks at Vic and asks, "What's my biggest pet peeve?"

Vic scratches his head, pondering for a moment before responding, "When people leave dishes in the sink."

Gabrielle laughs and says, "Yes! You know me too well."

Finally, Maya and Carina are up. Maya turns to Carina with a mischievous grin. "Okay, Carina, what's my all-time favorite book?"

Carina smiles, clearly recalling Maya's favorite. "Pride and Prejudice. You talk about it all the time."

Maya nods approvingly. "You got it. Now, what's my favorite thing to cook for dinner?"

Carina thinks for a second and replies, "Homemade lasagna. With all those layers and extra cheese."

Maya raises her eyebrows, impressed. "Exactly right!"

The game continues with increasing enthusiasm as everyone gets more into the spirit of it.

Maya and Carina sit close together, with Carina leaning against Maya's shoulder. Carina, still smiling from her earlier win, turns to Maya with a playful challenge. "Alright, Maya, let's see how well you really know me. What's my favorite vacation spot?"

Maya glances at Carina, thinking for a moment before answering, "Santorini. You always talk about that sunset view."

Carina grins. "You're right! Okay, my turn for you. What's my most cherished childhood memory?"

Maya doesn't hesitate. "Building sandcastles on the beach with your family. You've mentioned how much fun you had."

Carina's eyes soften with a nostalgic smile. "Yes, that's it."

Across from them, Jack and Jo are deep in their own round. Jo, looking slightly mischievous, asks, "Jack, if you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?"

Jack chuckles and replies, "Pizza. Hands down."

Jo laughs. "You know me too well. Now, what's my biggest fear?"

Jack looks serious for a moment before answering, "Not being able to accomplish everything you want to in life."

Jo nods, clearly touched by Jack's thoughtful answer. "That's exactly it."

Gabrielle and Vic continue their rounds with playful ease. Gabrielle asks Vic, "What's my favorite way to spend a lazy Sunday?"

Vic grins and says, "Reading a book on the couch with a cup of tea."

Gabrielle laughs, "Absolutely. And what about my most annoying habit?"

Vic chuckles, "Leaving your makeup brushes all over the bathroom counter."

Gabrielle playfully nudges him. "True, but only because I'm always in a rush!"

As the evening winds down, everyone feels a sense of contentment and closeness. The rooftop hot tub, the drinks, and the lively game have brought them all together, creating lasting memories and reinforcing the bonds of friendship and love.

As Maya and Carina head to bed after a fulfilling evening, the warmth of the hot tub still lingering in their bodies, Carina snuggles closer to Maya. With a contented sigh, she reminds Maya of their plans for the upcoming weekend.

"Maya," Carina says softly, her breath warm against Maya's ear, "we've got a busy weekend ahead. We're decorating for Christmas."

Maya chuckles, her fingers gently tracing circles on Carina's arm. "I know, I know. I've been looking forward to it. But you've got something specific in mind?"

Carina nods enthusiastically. "Yes! I want us to go out to a tree farm and pick out a real Christmas tree. Actually, I was thinking we could get a few trees."

Maya's eyebrows knit together in confusion. "Several trees? Why would we need more than one?"

Carina turns to face Maya, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "Well, I've always loved the idea of having multiple trees to make the space feel even more festive. We could have one in the living room, one in the dining room, and maybe even a smaller one in the hallway or our bedroom."

Maya's curiosity is piqued, but she still looks puzzled. "Multiple trees? Won't that be a lot of work?"

Carina laughs softly and kisses Maya's forehead. "It might be a bit of work, but it's so worth it. Each tree can have its own theme or color scheme, and it really makes everything feel magical. Plus, it's a chance for us to have fun together picking out and decorating each one."

Maya considers Carina's idea, her initial hesitation fading as she envisions the festive transformation of their home. "Okay, you've convinced me. It does sound pretty fun, and I have to admit, I love the idea of having our home decked out for the holidays."

Carina beams with satisfaction. "Great! I'm so glad you're on board. We'll make it a special day. We can start with picking the trees and then spend the weekend decorating them together."

Maya smiles back, her excitement growing. "I'm looking forward to it. I'm sure it will be a beautiful sight."
