Chapter 14

Rukia was a bit nervous as she stood outside of Ichigo's manor. The guards were all just starting to leave but when they saw how nervous and shaky Rukia was they all decided to stay behind and make sure she was okay. Tsukune asked if she wanted to hang at his place for the night, which caused the others to scowl at him even Takoa who liked to joke around with her. She smiled a bit but shook her head. Kamado offered to escort her in if she wanted but she simply shook her head saying she was fine just a bit shaken from everything that had happened in the last couple weeks. They all understood and told Rukia if she needed anything that she should not hesitate to call. She thanked them and hugged them telling them they all deserve some muffins tomorrow morning. They all cheered and told Rukia to have a good night. She watched as the guys left and then turned back to the door and timidly knocked. Oko was there to greet her as usual with a smile. She unknowingly relaxed the moment she saw Oko's face. Oko let her in and bowed.

"The girls are all asleep. Yumi is out with some…friends."

Rukia's eyes got big. She didn't know about any friends and she never met any of her friends. She thought Yumi was a loner. She immediately forgot about her fears and asked Oko if he knew about these friends. He shook his head.

"No, I thought she was a loner with her attitude."

"You literally read my mind. Does Ichigo know?"

"Yes he does. He's in the dining room. I must be going Ran'Tao and I have some business to attend to."

Rukia nodded and said her goodbyes and walked to the dining room. She was met with a set dining table with all her favorite was a bit off putting and in a way kind of sweet. Ichigo was smiling and standing in a pair of slacks and black shirt. His hair was slicked back and Rukia had to admit he did look sexy.

"Evening Rukia I asked your sister what your favorite foods were. I took the liberty to put the girls to sleep and everyone is gone home or have business attend to tonight and-"

"You let Yumi go out?"

Rukia saw Ichigo's smile falter a bit but it returned, "Well yes she said she was going to a party."

Rukia frowned, "She's fifteen. Do you know how old these people will be at the party?"

"I can assure you she is fine."

"How can you assure me? She gets drunk and has a nasty attitude. She's a minor if you didn't know and it's eight almost nine what time will she be-"

Rukia almost screamed as she saw Ichigo rush her. He grabbed her face gently and bought her in for a kiss. Rukia went limp as she instinctively kissed back. He looked at her with a smile and sat her down and returned to his seat at the other end.

"You're so fucking cute. Look I know I am not the best father to Yumi I know but trust me she's fine. I'm having her followed to ensure she's safe." Ichigo answered.

Rukia was blushing hard as she tried to compose herself. She decided to start eating and Ichigo followed. They ate in silence for a bit before Rukia decided to get straight to it.

"Why are you doing all of this?"

Ichigo smiled, "Rukia you are beautiful you took my girls in as if they were yours. And I do mean all my girls. You call me out on my bullshit and I can't help but be infatuated with you. So I mean well if you would want I mean if we can umm-"

"Ichigo I don't date my employers."

Ichigo grinned, "Well technically Oko is your employer."

Rukia was a bit hesitant; she knew Ichigo probably changed papers to show Oko was her employer. She decided to take this opportunity to ask questions.

"If I am to consider actually being with you I want to ask a few questions."

Ichigo sat back for a bit, "Are you done with dinner?"

Rukia nodded her head. Ichigo stood up and walked Rukia away from the table and walked her outside to the garden, his amazingly overly big garden. Rukia was amazed by how the garden looked.

"What questions do you have?"

Rukia cleared her throat, "Well have you ever killed anyone?"

Rukia shivered as Ichigo chuckled, "I won't lie to you I have…once. I took the girls out to the park. It was getting dark and this man wanted money. I offered him all my money but he had a knife and my girls were scared soo I shot him."

Rukia's eyes widened, "Wow I'm sorry that must have been hard for you."

"Well it was either my daughters or him I chose him. Any other questions?"

"Umm do you know what happened to that man Mizurio and Keigo I think were their names."

Rukia looked as if Ichigo was deep in thought and gave a small smile. It caught Rukia off guard that Ichigo had a cheshire cat smile as if reminiscing. Rukia bumped him, gave him a look causing him to clear his throat.

"The cops took care of them. Next question."

Rukia frowned, "Well what happened to the other Nanny?"

"She got hit by a car, it was all over the news."

Rukia stopped causing Ichigo to stop as well.

"You told me you wouldn't lie." Rukia stated.

Ichigo rolled his eyes, "I am not lying. She was a horrible Nanny. I caught her…she was abusing Hana. It was summer and Hana had these horrible burns over her body. We had to take her to the ER. I found out that for the past month she had been negligent to Hana's skin treatment, letting her go out in the hot sun without protection. I fired her and then two days later she was hit by a car in Las Noches."

Rukia's eyes widened, "I'm so sorry. Poor Hana I can't imagine how she must have felt and Mia was probably too young to even understand. Those poor girls, no wonder you're so threatening during the interview process." The two walked for a bit when Rukia decided to ask one more question. "Umm, this will be my final question: what happened to Yumi's mother?"

Ichigo took a deep breath, "She was killed here on the front of the door step. One shot to the head and she was dead. It's a lot. I don't think you know this but once the day security leaves I have snipers set up to watch certain areas of my home. She came when I was working. I was away from the house and it was two in the morning. She was screaming my name, screaming that it was important. I got a call that she was trying to break in so they shot her. Her body…was delivered back to her family. Couple years later Yumi showed up and you can understand me being skeptical when she arrived."

Rukia shook her head, "Poor Yumi, she never even got to meet her mother."

Ichigo rolled his eyes, "She was a bitch. Not wanting to disrespect the dead but that woman and her family are evil incarnated."

Rukia gave Ichigo a look, "Yumi said it was just her and her grandmother."

Ichigo stopped in his tracks, "Grandmother?"

Rukia felt she slipped up, "Yes? Maybe I didn't hear her right."

Ichigo nodded, "Probably."

Ichigo and Rukia walked together in silence when Ichigo grabbed her hand.

"I'm going to speak freely. Rukia, you are a strong and powerful woman. I am so attracted to you not in a sexual way well not just a sexual way. I want to spoil you I want to make sure no one fucks with you. I want you to be mine." Ichigo explained.

Rukia took a deep breath as she let everything Ichigo say sink in. She didn't know what to say. She was absolutely flabbergasted. Ichigo grabbed her hand and kissed it. Rukia felt really emotional; she has never had a man proclaim their feelings to her like that before. Her body moved instinctively as she grabbed Ichigo and kissed him deeply. She felt Ichigo's arms wrap around her and pull her close to him. He deepened the kiss and Rukia couldn't help but moan. He picked her up holding her as close as he could. As they kissed, Rukia felt Ichigo's engorged friend poking her. She grinded against it causing Ichigo to growl under his breath as they made out. Rukia was in heaven. Ichigo worshiped and adorned her body. He went down to kiss her neck and grope her breasts as he held her with one arm. Rukia wrapped her legs tighter around Ichigo; she was in absolute bliss.

"AHHH. Rukia what the fuck!"

Rukia jumped at hearing Yumi's screams. She tried to get out of Ichigo's grip but he held her tightly. Rukia was as red as a tomato as she tried to get out of Ichigo's grip.

"Yumi what do you need?" Ichigo asked.

Rukia could feel Yumi's glare, "Well first I want to unsee this."

Rukia squirmed and got out of Ichigo's grasp much to his dismay. She cleared her throat and fixed herself a bit and gave a small smile.

"What's up Yumi."

Yumi gave Rukia a look and grabbed her hand leading her away from Ichigo. Rukia looked back and saw Ichigo was very much irritated as they walked away. Yumi walked Rukia into the house and gave her a look.

"Rukia what were you doing?"

Rukia frowned, "Yumi, I'm a grown woman, what I do in my spare time is my business. Now I was told you went to a party. What happened?"

"Well I wanted to umm ask you something." Rukia could see Yumi's face was bright red which scared her a bit. Rukia immediately checked her over. Yumi rolled her eyes and gently pushed her away. "I umm well you see there's this guy named Mabashi he's umm well…How do you have sex?"

Rukia nodded her head and walked Yumi to her room. She smiled, opened the door to Yumi's room and hugged her. She kissed both her cheeks and grabbed her face.

"Yumi, you are a fifteen year old girl, don't think about sex right now."

Yumi huffed but nodded and went to bed. Rukia took a deep breath, a bit grateful that Yumi came and stopped her and Ichigo when she did. Rukia decided to go to her room and rest. She tossed and turned and then around two in the morning when she fell asleep. When she woke up the next morning she did her usual routine and got the girls ready for school and headed down for breakfast. As usual Oko, Ran'Tao, and Ichigo are sitting in their usual spots. Hana and Mia sat in their usual spots. Rukia went to sit in her usual spot but Ichigo stopped her and pointed to an empty chair next to him. Rukia blushed and shook her head stating she liked her normal seat.

"Oh come on Rukia as my girlfriend-"

"She is not your fucking girlfriend. She is our Nanny. That's all, nothing is official."

Everyone turned to Yumi who was scolding as she beckoned Rukia to sit next to her. Rukia gave Ichigo an apologetic look and then sat next to Yumi. Ichigo gave Yumi a look but said nothing as he asked what was on everyone's agenda.

"I have a math test, daddy." Mia stated

Hana smiled, "I am going to make a cake in our baking class. I'm going to use Rukia's recipe."

Rukia giggled a bit at how proud Hana was. Oko cleared his throat and gave Ichigo a pointed look.

"We have a meeting today at Byakuya's company. Everyone will be there to discuss some new issues that have come up." Oko stated.

Ichigo looked up from his coffee and looked at Yumi. She huffed and stated she was going to a party tonight. Rukia went to say something but Ichigo cut her off saying she should have fun and be safe. Rukia and Oko glared but Ichigo simply just finished up his coffee and continued to read his paper. Once breakfast was done Oko walked the girls to the car. Yumi grabbed Rukia's hand and walked her to the door and hugged her and whispered quietly in her ear.

"Don't go to that meeting."

Rukia gave a confused look but Yumi waved and met Oko at the open door. Rukia went back into the house and went to help clean up breakfast when Ichigo stopped her.

"Rukia, if you don't mind getting dressed you will accompany me to the meeting. Of course you can't go into the meeting since it's a private matter but I would love to have you with me." Ichigo stated.

Ran'Tao gave Ichigo a look, "Surely Rukia has other things to do today."

"I agree Rukia might want to relax or go out with her family today."

Rukia didn't know if it was Yumi's warning or the strange way Oko and Ran'Tao was acting but Rukia sweetly declined. She stated she wanted to go visit Ashido and then visit some of the nearby bakeries, something she had been dying to do. He gave an irritated look but simply nodded and left with Oko and Ran'Tao following right behind him. The moment they were gone Rukia took a very long shower enjoying the hot spray and then put on a pair of black jean shorts and a green blouse with flowers on it. She grabbed some cute black slippers. She went to the kitchen and made some quick muffins already pre-made and gave them to the guys. The moment they ate it they gave Rukia a look asking why they were so bland. Rukia chuckled and apologized saying they were pre made muffins. The men scuffed but thanked Rukia all the same.

Rukia went to the garage, got her usual blue car, told everyone goodbye and started driving to the hospital. When she got there she got out of the car and immediately ran for Ashido's room. She hadn't visited him in a while and was wondering how he was doing. When she walked to his room she was surprised to see his room empty. Rukia immediately felt a chill up her spine as she ran to the nurses station and asked where Ashido was. An Orange haired blonde haired nurse with a big set of boobs gave a smile and greeted her. Rukia asked about the empty room.

"Oh Ashido-kun, he's been discharged."

Rukia's eyes got big, "What when why wasn't I informed?"

"The girl tilted her head, "Oh I'm sorry, are you his wife? Were you on the forms someone should have informed you-"

Rukia stopped her, "No I'm his….yes I am his ex-wife Rukia…Kano I am still legally married to him. Where was he discharged?"

The girl gasped, "Oh my gosh I am so sorry. He was discharged a couple days ago. Some man by the name of Kisuke Urahahra came by to pick him up."

Rukia gave a confused look, "The shopkeeper from Karakura?"

The woman shrugged, "I think so I'm sorry I just got this job. Maybe your husband was friends with him?"

Rukia gave the nurse a look then bowed thanking her and then left. She immediately called Ashido's mother's phone and to her surprise the phone had been disconnected. Rukia started to panic and called Ashido's sister's phone number. She started hyperventilating when the robotic voice came on the phone saying the line was disconnected. She scrolled through her phone to find Ashido's number marked 'Asshole' and called it immediately and it went straight to voicemail. Rukia ran out of the hospital in a panic as she sped by. She didn't notice the woman in front of her and bumped into her stumbling and almost falling. Rukia bowed and immediately started apologizing.

"Oh it's fine. Are you okay? You seem to be in a rush."

Rukia looked up and saw a lady who had long brown hair that pieced over her forehead in a large, leftward-facing bang, pale violet eyes, and thin eyebrows. She was wearing red lipstick and a pretty green dress and donning her head was a big beach hat covering her face. Rukia was stunned with how pretty she looked.

"I am sorry again, did I hurt you?"

The lady waved her off, "No worries umm.."

"Oh my apologies, my name is Rukia Sode."

The woman smiled brightly, "My name is Yoshino Soma. Now I must be going but I hope you have a great day."

Rukia bowed and ran to the car, missing the look of glee on her face. Rukia decided to call her Aunt as she drove around with no particular destination. Her aunt answered immediately. Rukia didn't give her time to say anything as she explained the whole Ashido situation. Her aunt told her to meet her at her place as soon as possible. Rukia started driving in overdrive to Karakura town to meet with her aunt. When she got to her aunt's place she saw a fancy convertible in front of the house and immediately panicked. She rushed inside the house and saw her aunt sitting down with a man who gave off a murderous aura. He had wavy brown curly hair stubble forming into the outline of a beard and pale tan skin. He had on glasses showing off his dark brown eyes. Shirayuki rushed to her niece and hugged her tightly. She turned to the man behind her and gave a loving smile.

"Rukia this is Zangetsu he's my old…boyfriend and he's also-"

"Ichigo's uncle."

Rukia felt scared and panicked. This just confirmed that Ichigo was indeed connected with crime families and it absolutely broke her heart.
