The Lane Family Compound, Metropolis
An older pale woman stood in the middle of a full-length mirror as smoke surrounded her. Dressed in only a robe, the woman fixated on the wrinkles around her mouth as she took in a puff of nicotine. Years of heavy smoking had ruined her body. Juiced up on god knows what, her body was beginning to fall apart. And she was watching it in real-time. Had her breast sagged so low before?
She held in the smoke from her cigarette until it made her lungs burn. A feeling for once. Was it regret? She pined after men who didn't love her. Bruce didn't. The farm boy charity case most certainly didn't. And now everything was falling apart, literally.
"All that I've done for you..." she thought.
All the sacrifices she'd made to sleep with him, he wasn't grateful for any of them. She'd made herself 'perfect' for him. After all these years of being 'perfect', he chooses now to turn to some new whore for what... a cheap thrill?
"I made myself your equal..." she continued.
Pumped full of radiation and dissected, she became stronger. A Superwoman... But it wasn't enough. She knew it would never be enough, yet she still did as she wanted. She wanted the most powerful creature in the universe on his knees for her... and only her.
"Damn you, Smallville,"
She cursed as she blew the held-in smoke into the glass. All he had to do was be her toy, like Bruce. He knew his place. Naked, on his knees, and fucking her. As the smoke faded, the woman noticed the flashing of her phone on the nightstand.
"Who's calling me at this hour!" she grumbled as she took another puff.
Reaching for the phone, a devilish smile spread across her face. Missed call... Selina's, her other rival, name was on her screen.
"I'll remove that bitch, just like I do you," the woman laughed exhaling smoke.
Looking at herself with a smirk, she pulled the feathered trim of her robe up around her face.
"Ultraman is mine,"
As she spoke, she twirled from side to side allowing her voice to echo throughout the room surrounding her.
"... What brings such joyous laughter?" a voice bellowed.
The woman jumped as she turned around to see Bruce's shadowy figure lurking on the far side of the room. The woman clung tightly to her robe, covering her semi-nude body. Bruce scoffed as he watched her fain modesty. There was nothing modest about her.
"Who did you think would come to visit your old ass Lois, 'your husband'?" Bruce said, raising his brow.
Lois stood there looking at him sternly.
"I didn't think anyone was coming," she replied. "Especially, after you left me so suddenly last night..."
"I had things to attend to that were more important than you..."
Lois stepped away from the mirror and closer to Bruce.
"There should be nothing more important to you than me..."
Bruce was highly amused at the state of her. She was still dressed in lingerie in the mid-afternoon. It wasn't the same thing from last night. Did she expect Ultraman or himself to come to her? He fought back his laughter.
Lois watched a smirk spread across Bruce's face. Cigarette in hand, she lifted her hand to hit him. Bruce was pushed back a few feet as he caught her arm mid-swing.
"Well, that will never happen," Bruce replied as he licked her hand.
She tasted of salt and smoke, an unappealing flavor. That's probably why he's never tried to eat her. Faul temperament ruins the flesh. Lois rolled her eyes.
"You serve my husband," Lois hissed as she pulled her hand away from his grasp. "I could inform him that you taking advantage of me..."
Bruce burst into laughter.
"Me, take advantage of you?" Bruce said through his laughter. "Lois..."
Bruce paused as he turned to meet her gaze.
"...He hates you; he's always hated you," Bruce continued. "So great is his hatred of you that he allows me to fuck you so you'll leave him alone..."
"Lies..."
Lois's face turned red as her blood boiled. Bruce told no lie and she knew it. Knowing that fact didn't make his words sting any less.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night,"
Bruce brushed past Lois, walking further into her bedroom.
"He's found himself …"
Lois turned to face Bruce, who wore an amused smile on his face. Lois stepped closer to him as she flipped her drab hair over her shoulder.
"I highly doubt he's found anything other than trash," she replied. "I am perfect. I was made to be with him..."
Bruce leaned in closer.
"What makes you think that's the case anymore?"
Bruce watched her standing there so sure of herself. There was a smug look in her eyes as she stared into the mirror in front of them. A look that Bruce knew he needed to remove.
"My dear Bruce, you forget yourself," Lois cooed as she reached out for Bruce's chin. "With one flick of my wrist, I could..."
She gently tapped it as she spoke.
"... snap you in half like Darkseid is probably doing to that savage bitch as we speak..."
Standing in front of Lois, Bruce brushed a stray piece of hair out of her face. Lois's face molded into Bruce's touch. He needed to figure out how she knew about Darkseid. She wouldn't be ruining his precious meal.
"Who said anything about her being taken by Darkseid, Lois?" Bruce asked.
Lois placed a kiss on Bruce's jaw.
"I have my ways Bruce, you know that," she cooed.
Lois pulled Bruce's face inches from her own. She tilted her head to the side, opening her mouth to kiss his lips. He got a waft of smoke from her mouth making him gag. She was a means to an end, he thought. She was the reason Selina was dabbling with Darkseid. Filling her head with ideas of freedom from Ultraman. He didn't want to be free, not yet. Ultraman provided him with a never-ending supply of fresh meat. Moreover, Ultraman provided him with the Amazon. Whether he knew it or not. The perfect meal...
"Too bad 'your ways' didn't double-check to see if she was 'actually' gone," Bruce replied as he claimed her lips.
Lois pushed Bruce away as he stumbled backward slightly.
"What do you mean?" she spat.
"Oh, your source didn't inform you that Darkseid just up and left without taking the Amazon with him…" Bruce replied.
Immediately Lois began to pace. She muttered to herself as she reached into one of the side pockets of her robe. She pulled out another cigarette and lit it. Taking a long hard drag, Lois blew a huge puff of smoke into the air.
"You ok over there," Bruce asked as he watched Lois slowly unravel before him.
Lois hissed, "No, no, no."
Bruce rolled his eyes as he walked over to the T.V. Flicking it on, he turned on the news. An image of the outside of the Cat's Den was on the screen. Smoke billowed from what was left of the building.
"As you can see your 'beloved husband' took Darkseid's attempt to take her surprisingly well," Bruce said as he made air quotes.
Lois looked at the screen in horror. Had he destroyed one of his most profitable businesses over a whore?
"Where is Selina!?" Lois snapped.
Bruce laughed.
"Now you show concern for your inside source?" Bruce asked coldly.
"Where is she, Bruce!?"
"Oh, my dear Lois," Bruce cooed. "Part of her is now ash on her office floor. The other half… I'm not sure where Ultraman threw her... My cameras don't see everything you know."
"He doesn't know that I…" Lois said as she gripped Bruce's shoulder. "I can still fix this..."
"Oh," Bruce replied as he leaned against the T.V. "How do you plan on 'fixing' this…"
Bruce pointed to the smoldering ash that was once the Cat's Den.
"My favorite is gone..."
Lois gulped hard.
"I didn't speak to him personally," Lois said.
She reached out to him.
"You know I would never want anything to happen to Selina..."
Bruce scoffed, "There should be nothing more important to you than me. Isn't that what you said..."
"I didn't mean Selina..."
Bruce swatted her hand away.
"Now that's just pathetic, Lois," Bruce said, interrupting her. "I'd keep my head down if I were you. The moment he finds out that you were behind Darkseid coming to his city your ass is dead…."
Bruce watched the rage boil in Lois's eyes as he called Metropolis 'his city'. Lois was born and raised in the city of tomorrow, unlike Ultraman. He was from some backwoods small farming town out west.
"You mean 'our city'!" she hissed. "I gave him this city. I did. Me, me, me!"
"Last time I checked, your father gave him this city, not you," Bruce laughed.
Lois's jaw dropped.
"Cat got your tongue, Lois?" Bruce mocked.
"Shut up Bruce!"
"How mature of you Lois," Bruce added. "No wonder Ultraman treats you like a child."
"He loves me," she blurted out.
Bruce rolled his eyes.
"...He just needs to remember."
Lois opened her robe and let it fall off her shoulders. She walked over to Bruce, who was still leaning up against the T.V. In nothing, she pressed her naked body against Bruce. She slid her hand down his body and cupped him in her hand.
"He'll come back, he always comes back," Lois said as she massaged his cock. "Just like you…"
Bruce stood stone-faced as Lois rubbed her body against him.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that this time, Lois," Bruce replied.
Lois suddenly stopped fondling him.
"What does that mean?" she snapped back.
Bruce said, "I've got Joker to handle this type of thing. I no longer have use of you."
Lois started to panic. She kissed his lips but he didn't respond to her touch.
"You need me, Bruce," she said as she broke their kiss.
She looked up into Bruce's unmoved face.
"I've got my war," Bruce said coldly.
He stood up straight and forced Lois to back away from him.
"What can you offer me?" Bruce asked as he stared down at Lois. "A bad blow job?"
Bruce kissed the top of Lois's head.
"Good luck making your way out of this alive Lois," Bruce said. "You are no longer under my protection…"
Bruce walked away from Lois, but she grabbed onto his arms.
"Bruce... Bruce…" she cried. "You need me…"
Bruce continued walking away from her as he ignored her cries.
"We can work through this Bruce…" she cried. "You're not thinking clearly…"
Bruce stopped.
"You should have thought before you brought Selina into this," he growled as he pulled his arm away.
Finally free of Lois, Bruce walked out of her bedroom. Alone, Lois rushed towards the T.V. She read the headline, 'Famed brothel owner, Selina Kyle, presumed dead'. Lois screamed as she punched her hand through the T.V. As it shattered to pieces, she crumpled to the floor.
Beep, beep
Lois looked up from the blood-covered broken T.V. and over to her phone. Missed call Selina... Rage filled her. With her bloodied fingers, she scrolled through her contacts.
Ring, ring
"You weren't supposed to get Selina killed!" she shouted through the phone.
There was a long pause.
"And a good evening to you too, Mrs. Kent," a distinctive gravelly voice said.
"Don't Mrs. Kent me, Darkseid," she continued. "We had a deal..."
"And deals change," Darkseid replied. "And I believe we have something new to discuss,"
