Author's Note:

Hye everyone, I am unsure if anyone is still reading or watching Bleach but Bleach: TYBW anime is coming up soon and I believe my favorite pairing: Grimmjow X Nelliel will finally have some actions. I've been fantasizing about them lately and this story is basically inspired by one of the cutest Teen Romance anime I've ever watch: The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. Please please watch it if you haven't. You'll love it, trust me. Anyway, some of the characters can be quite OOC, especially Ulquiorra. I need him to be like this in my story so sorry not sorry. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the story and a constructive comment is definitely welcome. Have a great day!

Disclaimer: Bleach belongs to Kubo-sensei

Early April, Season of Spring

Monday

It had been raining for hours now, the steady patter of water against my raincoat long since faded to a dull rush in the back of my mind. The thick wool was almost soaked through. I am pretty confident that if this continues for the next couple of days, I'll need to get another set of raincoats and boots so I can leave the current one at home to dry.

I tramped my way along the muddy trail in irritated silence. "What a day to end the first day of school." The journey from school back home is around five blocks away. I was actually anticipating a full moon tonight, but I guess with the clouds above stopped any lights shone, it can wait.

A piercing gust of wind shook the trees above my head, showering my already miserable frame with a fresh deluge. I brushed the dripping water away from my damp sleeves and kept walking forward, choosing to ignore my thoroughly soaked hair. It was pure luck that I snagged a free umbrella from the convenience store when I picked up some food.

As I approached my building, a fleeting smile broke through my usual frown. It was finally time to return home. While passing the playground adjacent to my residence, that was when I noticed her. Her long, wavy green hair was drenched from the relentless rain. She sat quietly on the swing, remaining still.

Stopping by the side of the playground:

"Should I interrupt a person who clearly doesn't want to be interrupted?"

"But it's raining heavily and she's wearing that damn school uniform."

Following an internal struggle, he let out an irritated sigh and positioned himself in front of the oblivious girl, who remained completely unaware of his presence, deep in contemplation.

He adjusted the umbrella, protecting the girl from the heavy rain. Gently tapping her shoulder, he asked, "Hey, are you alright?" It was a courteous gesture. The girl, now noticing the figure in front of her who was protecting her from the downpour, lifted her gaze.

The girl with big brown eyes gazes into the piercing blue eyes of the teenager in front of her. She is so deep in thought that she cannot make out the question the blue-haired teen just posed.

Sighing at the sight of the disoriented girl, "Look, I don't want to intrude on your personal space but I don't think sitting duck under this downpour is wise. Here, take the umbrella. Don't bother giving it back." The blue haired teen shoves the green umbrella to the girl and quickly dashes towards his building without waiting for a reply.

The girl, caught off guard, quietly whispers a delayed "Thank you." However, she is aware that the blue haired teenager didn't catch it.

Click, the door to the apartment was opened. "Sighh, finally home. That's a damn long walk." Grumbled the blue haired teen, namely Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez.

He stripped off his soaking wet clothes, making a beeline for the bathroom to enjoy a long hot shower. As the water cascaded over him, his thoughts drifted off to the girl with the green hair, her unsettling eyes stirred emotions in his typically untroubled heart, evoking a sense of discomfort.

"What the hell was she doing on that swing?"

"She seems lost in thoughts."

"Oh well, whatever it is, I hope she got back just fine."

Following a steamy hot shower, he dried himself off while his icy blue eyes gaze into the mirror by his side. His unruly teal hair is still messy with the water dripping. His tall, muscular physique is truly remarkable; if he has to say so himself.

The next day, Tuesday

Ah choooo. Sniff sniff. The sound of sneezing echoes softly in the still morning air as Grimmjow makes his way to school.

"This is bad." Grumbled said teen. "The last time this happened, my body shut down." Blowing into the tissue paper at hand, "Might as well drop by the old man's clinic before going back later." Ah choo. And the sneezing continues.

In class (Grade 12) - Hueco Private High

8.00am

"Good morning, Nelliel!" A tall, dark-skinned blonde greeted the cheerful girl with green hair. "Hey, good morning Harribel! It's so sunny today; let's hope it stays that way and doesn't rain like it did yesterday."

The two girls were walking to their tables when a sudden loud sneeze grabbed their attention.

Ahh choo! Ahh choo! "Ugh, my head is killing me," Grimmjow muttered to himself. "Hey Grimm, looks like you got caught in the rain yesterday," a dark-haired boy with piercing green eyes said as he walked up to the blue-haired teen.

Grimmjow shot Ulquiorra a pensive look, clearly annoyed by the situation. "Way stating the obvious, Ulqui." Grimmjow shot back. "Instead of enjoying my suffering, you have any painkillers with you?"

Ulquiorra comforted the irritated teenager by patting him on the back and handing him a pack of medicine. After swallowing two pills whole, Grimmjow let out a sigh as he took a seat at his designated table, with Ulquiorra joining him shortly after.

Nelliel watches as the two boys exchange words, her gaze shifting to the green umbrella she's holding. She feels a pang of guilt as she looks at the sickly boy. Letting out a heavy sigh, she then turns her attention to the blue-haired boy, who is purposefully looking at her. Their eyes meet for a brief moment before Nelliel blushes and quickly looks away, feeling embarrassed at being caught peeking.

Seeing her friend bashful state, Harribel playfully taunted Nelliel, "Caught staring at our class bad boy, Nelliel? Intrigued, huh?" Nelliel stammered, "No, Harribel. How could you even imply such a thing? You are aware that I cannot afford to indulge in such distractions."

The school bell signals the beginning of the first class of the day. At Hueco Private High, a prestigious institution in the town of Karakura, there are certain unspoken rules that must be adhered to, one of which pertains to the social hierarchy. Nelliel is widely recognized within the school as someone who possess both beauty and intelligence. Not only is she rank at the top academically, but she also excels in various sports. This can be said the same as Tier Harribel, her best friend.

Despite being part of the most elite groups at school, they are incredibly easy to talk to. Their warm and welcoming attitude allows others to connect with them effortlessly, without any sense of intimidation.

Ulquiorra; the boy with fair skin, shoulder length dark hair and cat like piercing green eyes is also one of the top performers in school, often matching or surpassing Nelliel herself. While he may not participate in sports frequently, he excels in fencing, winning the Japan Championship Cup two years consecutively. Despite his success, he tends to keep to himself and only interacts with a select few individuals at school, with Grimmjow being one of them.

Finally, our favorite troublemaker, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez. He transferred to Hueco Private High School midway through the previous academic year. The circumstances surrounding his abrupt admission remain unclear, yet it was undeniably surprising that within his first week, he had already stirred up trouble with the upperclassmen.

While he might not be the brightest bulb in the box, his grades are still pretty solid for someone with such a fierce vibe, always ranking in the top ten at school. He's got some serious skills in sports, especially when it comes to sprinting, but he doesn't seem too interested in participating. He usually dodges any extracurriculars unless he absolutely has to join in. The only person he really hangs out with is Ulquiorra; the other guys either find him intimidating or have had their own fair share of run-ins with him in the past.

In conclusion, the likelihood of Grimmjow and Nelliel to be engaging in conversation is extremely low, despite being in the same class since Grimmjow's enrollment. Nelliel is considered to be an Angel, while Grimmjow is clearly the Devil. There has never been a reason for them to interact. However, all of this is set to change following their unexpected encounter yesterday.

4.30pm

The last bell chimed, indicating the end of the school day. Grimmjow stretched his stiff body, letting out a yawn. Running his hand through his unruly hair, he hoisted his bag onto his back and exited the classroom. "See ya, Ulqui. I'll be heading to the old man's clinic before I head back." He said as he walks past Ulquiorra. The mentioned teen just hum in reply; knowing full well who he's referring to.

While making his way through downtown, Grimmjow boarded the train and proceeded towards the eastern part of Karakura City. After a number of stops, he disembarked from the train and quickly boarded the closest bus to reach his intended destination.

Kurosaki Residence

He arrived at his destination after a good forty-five minutes journey on the bus. Without bothering to knock, he burst inside. Upon entering, he adeptly dodged an oncoming flying kick before retaliating with a roundhouse kick towards the assailant.

"Seriously, old man? Is this how you greet your nephew after I've been away for so long?" Grimmjow grumbled, fully aware that his words would fall on deaf ears.

The old man didn't bother responding, he simply continued his assault until he successfully got the teen in a headlock. However, Grimmjow wasn't one to give up easily. He effortlessly broke free from the old man's grasp and forcefully slammed him onto his back. To make sure he stayed down, Grimmjow then pressed his foot against the man's back.

As they persist in their purportedly friendly wrestling match, the front door swings open, revealing an orange-haired teenager who is the same age as Grimmjow, accompanied by his two younger sisters.

"Grimm-nii! When did you arrive?" Yuzu, the youngest, exclaimed upon noticing who was at home.

"Hey, Yuzu. What's up?" came Grimmjow's casual response.

"Yo Orange, it would be great if you could bring your old man along." Grimmjow adds before a sudden sneezing fit interrupts him.

Ichigo observed the severity of the sneezing fit that came from the blue-haired teenager, prompting him to approach his father and assist the elderly man up. "I think Blue here came with a purpose. Isn't that right?" Ichigo remarked, a playful grin adorning his face.

The response was a lackluster "Shut up!"

Isshin burst into laughter. "Oh, so you decided to visit your dear uncle because you're feeling under the weather, huh, kid?"

"NO! I came here because I craved Yuzu's cooking. Being sick is for wimps," he replied with a huff, wiping his nose.

Karin stood by the side of the house, watching the scene before her with a smirk. This was a common occurrence in her household. If Goatchin wasn't busy picking on her older brother, Ichigo, then her cousin, Grimmjow, was usually the next target of his wrath.

"Keep telling yourself that, Grimm-nii. It looks like you're not feeling well at all. And you even made the effort to come here." Karin teased her older cousin playfully.

Yuzu beamed at the scene in front of her and decided to begin preparing some soup for dinner. She then asked Karin for assistance, to which Karin readily agreed and walked over to the kitchen to help Yuzu with the ingredients.

The boys, now calm and collected, proceed to the clinic situated on the outer side of the house. "So, what's the deal? I'm quite certain you're not one to get sick easily, Blue," Ichigo questioned nonchalantly.

Grimmjow grunted and simply clicked his tongue in response. "Yesterday, there was a heavy downpour in my area. Despite that, someone foolishly decided to get soaked in the rain. I gave her my umbrella before dashing off to my apartment."

Ichigo smirked, clearly catching the hint in his explanation. "So, is she your crush?" That sounded more like a statement rather than a question.
