After finally returning to the human world, the children face Luradamon for one last battle against Luradamon. Koji tried to be brave to keep the stone crest of light away from Luradamon, and his bravery was rewarded when Angewomon became Ophanimon. With her, Luradamon was finally defeated. However, the victory was short. The Dark Masters arrived and took the stone crests the second they got the chance. Now, they claim the stone crests and use their power.

This was a horrendous time. The kids fought so hard only to have the stone crests be used for evil. The Dark Masters are basking in the power and are now changing. All the kids could do is watch in terror of what's to come.
"At last the power is ours!" Piedmon called as they changed forms. MetalSeadramon turned black and white with more menacing armor. The wood that made Puppetmon became darker with him having spikes around his wrists and ankles. Even his nose turned into a spike. As for his weapons, he still held a mallet while his puppet controller turned into a giant saw. As for Machinedramon and Piedmon, they just changed colors. Machinedramon was all red with Piedmon's outfit turning black and white.
"Wait. Did they really get stronger? It looks more like they just changed colors." Natalie said.
"Looks can be deceiving." Ken said as he knows this is bad.
"Yes. It's not just our looks that changed, but our power as well. Now, I am ChaosPiedmon. My associates have as well. ChaosMetalSeadramon, HiMachinedramon, and VilePuppetmon."
"Enough talk. Let's have some fun!" VilePuppetmon said. He took the giant saw and threw it right at them, altering the trajectory with his puppet strings. All of them ducked out of the way, but that attack was nothing.
"My turn!" HiMachinedramon claimed as he powered his cannons.
"Let me get in on this as well." ChaosMetalSeadramon claimed as he was attacking as well.
"Cosmic Cannons!"
"Ultimate Stream!" Both of them unleashed devastating attacks. They all had to run for their lives against such terrifying power as the two attacks left devastation. Ken and Davis ducked and covered, but it was bad.
"This is insane! What the heck is going on?!" Davis said. "Ken, I think we need Imperialdramon to help with this."
"Wait. Where are the children?" Ken said as it would seem they got separated from the kids.
"Oh yeah! This new power feels awesome! I feel supercharged!" VilePuppetmon claimed.
"And this is just the climax of our little performance." ChaosPiedmon claimed. "You three find those brats. I think it's time our enemies learn why it was a bad idea to oppose us."
"And what will you do?" ChaosMetalSeadramon questioned.
"I'm going to set the stage for the final act." ChaosPiedmon said. "You all have fun with your new power. Make sure you leave the humans in pain and misery." This was all kinds of bad. The Dark Masters were strong before, but the stone crests have made them even more terrifying.

"This looks like a good spot to crown our triumph." ChaosPiedmon took their base to a tall building and had it be placed right on top of it. "Good. Our triumph is nearly at hand. All will see it. Speaking of which, I think it's time our special guests get a good look." He snapped his fingers and caused a special barrier to emerge right out and it held Tai and the adults.
"Where are we now?" Kari questioned.
"Look around. We're back in Odaiba." Joe said as they could see just that. "I was starting to think we wouldn't be back here."
"Take it in. It will soon turn into a wasteland." All of them looked and saw Piedmon in his new form.
"I take it the new wardrobe doesn't mean you're in a good mood and you're just going to let us go. Does it?" Mimi questioned.
"Not quite. My new look is proof that I have obtained new power. The stone crests have granted me and the other Dark Masters great power." ChaosPiedmon said. "So it would seem your little sacrifice was for nothing."
"No!" Tai said.
"What about our kids?!" Matt said with anger. "You better not have hurt them."
"No, but the others will take care of that." ChaosPiedmon said. "You get to see your precious world be destroyed."
"You won't win, Piedmon." Tai said.
"That's actually ChaosPiedmon now. Anyway, consider this punishment for defying us. In fact, it won't just be your children. It will be your entire city." This is all kinds of bad. Everything they love could be destroyed and there's nothing they can do about it.

The Digidestined
After the Dark Masters attacked with their new power, the children had to retreat, and they barely got out of there in one piece. They retreated to a different part of town, but now they're being hunted down.
"Did we give them the slip?" Mason said.
"For now, but I doubt it's going to take very long for them to catch us." Natalie said.
"I can't believe that power. Piedmon and Machinedramon didn't look that different, but they are a lot stronger." Biyomon said.
"I can't believe we let this happen. We were suppose to protect the stone crests, and we failed." Gatomon claimed.
"So what?!" Musuko said. "Who cares how strong they've gotten. We can still fight, and we can end this."
"Can we?" Benson questioned as even he had doubts. "They managed to use the power of the stone crests. We couldn't beat them before. I don't see how we can now." The others were feeling the same. They are starting to lose hope. That's something they can't afford now, but Musuko is staying strong.
"Hey, look at that." Koji said as he found something. They all looked and saw many digimon, but they all seemed scared and tried to hide away. "Hello? Are you all okay?"
"Of course we're not okay. Didn't you hear those explosions?" Woodmon said.
"And we know this isn't the end. We can feel the dangerous power." Kiwimon claimed.
"These past days have just been one disaster after another!" Woodmon claimed. "There were attacks by Daemon, and now this. I thought the human world was suppose to be a peaceful place, but it isn't. I thought humans and digimon were living together."
"We are." Natalie said.
"We did, but now I'm not so sure." Labramon claimed.
"If humans and digimon can live together, why is there so much fighting going on?" Meramon claimed.
"There are some bad digimon that do want to hurt other, but that doesn't mean we can't live together." Veemon said.
"Humans and digimon have been living together for year. Why would it be a problem?" Patamon said.
"Have you not paid attention to anything that happened?" Kiwimon said. "Now this disaster feels worse than the last."
"We thought we could live in this world, but it looks like we can't." Woodmon said.
"That's crazy. Just because some rotten digimon are causing trouble doesn't mean you can't live here." Musuko said. "That's just stupid."
"Easy, Musuko. They're just scared." Benson said. "You can't blame them. My dad told me the stories about how humans and digimon were at odds with each other. Now, when it seems like they can live together in peace, this is going on."
"Guys, it's all the more reason we have to fight." Musuko claimed. "This is their world as much as our world. Are we really going to let it be destroyed?" He was ready to fight, but are the others? They'll have to be. Just then, another fierce explosion went off. When they all took a look, they knew it had to be them. They're now faced with the three Dark Masters.
"There they are. I told you I would find them." VilePuppetmon claimed.
"Fine. Whatever. I'm just glad that we can finally be rid of these pests." ChaosMetalSeadramon claimed.
"There's nowhere to run now." HiMachinedramon claimed.
"I'm not running! Get them, Veemon!" Musuko encouraged.
"Gladly!" Veemon said as he charged right into battle.
"Veemon warp digivolve to...UlforceVeedramon!"
UlforceVeedramon flew right at the Dark Masters, but VilePuppetmon used his hammer. He smashed it against him and sent him flying with him crashing into the wall.
"With our new power, we're invincible. Why not just give up?" ChaosMetalSeadramon said.
"No way. Not to someone like you guys." Musuko refused.
"As long as we're still here, we won't let you destroy our world!" UlforceVeedramon claimed.
"Go ahead and try all you like. It will just make destroying you that much more enjoyable." ChaosMetalSeadramon claimed. UlforceVeedramon tried attacking again, but ChaosMetalSeadramon fired a blast that knocked him out of the sky.
"Musuko, they're too strong. You can't fight them alone." Benson said.
"So get in here and help me." Musuko said. "These guys are just a bunch of bullies that think they can mess everything up."
"It would seem you don't understand what you're up against." HiMachinedramon claimed he tried to stomp down on UlforceVeedramon, but he flew out of the way.
"Puppet Blade!" VilePuppetmon took his giant saw and threw it right at him, but UlforceVeedramon formed his shield and blocked it. However, ChaosMetalSeadramon swung his tail and smashed it against him with him smashing into the ground.
"It's no use! You can't beat them! They're too strong!" Woodmon called.
"What are you even thinking?! Run for it!" Kiwimon called.
"If you want to run because you're scared, go ahead. I'm not going anywhere!" Musuko said. "Someone has to stand up to these guys."
"I'm right with you on that." UlforceVeedramon claimed as he was getting back up.
"But why are you fighting so hard when it's hopeless?" Woodmon questioned.
"If we don't, who will?" UlforceVeedramon said. "This world was created for both humans and digimon. These guys want to destroy it. We can't let that happen. After all the trouble humans and digimon have gone through to live together, we can't let it be destroyed."
"So many put their trust and faith in us." Musuko said as he thought about the friends they made and lost since this all began. "This is our world, and if we won't protect it, who will? After all, if humans and digimon can live together, shouldn't we fight together?" Musuko certainly has a way with words because it is everyone thinking that maybe they should fight.
"This is getting boring." VilePuppetmon claimed.
"It doesn't matter what you think or fight for. In the end, power is all that matters, and we have it all." ChaosMetalSeadramon claimed. "Let's make an example out of them and show them why they should fear us, and why no one should think of opposing us."
"I've got this!" VilePuppetmon said and tossed his saw again to deal a finishing blow, but it ended up being knocked away by Seraphimon.
"Seraphimon!" UlforceVeedramon said.
"You're right, UlforceVeedramon. You and Musuko. We have to fight." Seraphimon claimed. That was when he noticed the light behind him and saw all of his friends digivolve to their highest forms.
"Humans and digimon can live together. We have to be the ones to take a stand." Phoenixmon said.
"The humans and the digimon have been at odds with each other in the past, but that all changed." Gardeniamon claimed.
"This is our world and we will fight for it. We've been entrusted with that future and they can't destroy that." Ophanimon said.
"Now let's take it to them!" Gardeniamon said as she threw her whip and lassoed around HiMachinedramon, but he just swung her around wi to his immense strength. Seraphimon attempted to attack VilePuppetmon, but VilePuppetmon just swatted him with his hammer as well. The others all tried attacking from a distance, but ChaosMetalSeadramon slithered around all their attacks and fired his own attack that blasted through him.
"It's over! Now you meet your long awaited end!" ChaosMetalSeadramon claimed as he was all set to finish this. Just then, a laser beam shot between them and stopped him in his tracks.
"Who did that?!" Natalie said.
"Up there!" Koji pointed out. All of them saw CannonBeemon was back up and was actually fighting now.
"It's CannonBeemon! He's okay, and he wants to help fight!" Benson said. Then, all the digimon started attacking together. All of them began attacking the Dark Masters.
"We want to fight with you, too!" Woodmon claimed.
"This is our world, too!" Kiwimon claimed.
"If you kids can take a stand, so can we!" Meramon claimed. All of the digimon are taking a stand for the world they can live in now.
"Do you think these pitiful attempts can stop us?" ChaosMetalSeadramon claimed.
"Just you wait. Your time will come!" Seraphimon called as he unleashed a light to blind the three of them. "Quickly, everyone! You've done well, but we must retreat for now so that we can continue this fight another time. They are too strong, for now." All of them understood and hurried off.
"You can't run forever! Your demise will come!" ChaosMetalSeadramon called. With this, the kids can see they can't give up now. They have to fight for this world that's for everyone, and end the Dark Masters terror for good.

Next time, the children decide to go all-out for one more attempt to save their parents. Perhaps, they can end the Dark Masters as well.
