It had been a moon since cloud spots said that snowkit wont be able to become an apprentice for a moon maybe two and snowkit knew that this could possibly mean that her littermate might get his warrior name before she even becomes an apprentice which made her more eager to prove she was healthy.
She sat alone in the medicine den bored and lonely when she had an brilliant idea to prove that she was healthy enough to become an apprentice all she had to do was go out catch some prey and bring it back to camp then her father would see that she is worthy to earn her apprentice name and she wouldn't have to wait any longer.
So snowkit quietly snuck out of camp into the forest her jaw dropped it was incredible better than she ever imagined trees everywhere,moss under her paws,birds singing.There it was the one peice of prey that would earn her her new name a fat juicy squirrel nibbling hard brown things on the floor.She got into the hunters crouch that Brackenpaw taught her and crept towards it when she was close enought she lept missing by a mouse tail it looked at her and sped through the forest she chased it basicaly stepping on its tail she was going to catch it and become Snowpaw.
Unil she felt her chest tighten and her breathing became more unsteady but she had to get the squirrel it was so important. After a while of running she was in a small clearing where she could see a large black trail about 5 fox tails long a large creature sped along just missing her nose she could see tiny creatures whith no fur except a big clump on the top of their heads and a small bit on their muzzle inside its belly this must be the thunderpath thats a monster she took a deep breath in to stable her breathing wich was still unsteady and they must be twolegs she had heard of the strange creatures from pink eyes in nursery tales what weird looking creatures.
Her breaths where still unsteady which caused her to collapsed on the floor she wouldnt be able to get home in time if she got up now she had to try and breathe but her lungs where so tight it was impossibe her eyes started watering and they started to flicker shut slowly trapping her in in pure darkness.
