eric and sil followed drake through the corridors until they reached the escape pods room, except there is only one escape pod left. drake looks at eric and sil "eric you must get in now!" drake said. eric looked at drake and then sil before shaking his head "no way! sil is coming with me! i said that!" eric said. drake looks at eric and sighs "eric we can't all fit in one escape pod! its only made for one person!" drake said. as the group started to argue sil was looking out the window and gazes at the stars in the void of deep space. but what got her attention was what looked like a bulky structure attach to the station "boys, whats that?" sil shouted as she pointed at the window. drake and eric rush over to the window and stare at it, it was a small cargo transport "thats a small cargo starship, i think its name is the uss adam" eric explained, but then he immediatly realizes something "holy shit, the ship is attached to our docking port... it means the ship is docked!" drake and sil looked at eric in confusion "what does that mean?" drake asked. eric thinks for a moment before responding "it means the ship is fully fueled and ready to go!" eric exclaimed. drake looks at eric "eric that ship is meant for cargo, it wasnt meant for people" drake said. eric glared at drake "we don't have a choice! thats the only ship left, plus it has hypersleep chambers onboard. we can all fit onboard." eric exclaimed. sil looks at eric with surprise "hypersleep chambers?" she asked. eric nods "yes, we will be asleep for several years, decades even." sil looked at eric with horror in her eyes "years?!" she asked. drake then speaks up "that starship can travel faster than any other ship, but it's hypersleep chambers will also put you into deep hybernation for several decades and for who knows how long. the only difference is you can't dream, plus you'll have no sense in time." drake said. sil looks at eric again "you really want to do this?" sil asked. eric looked at drake and the guard who were terrified of sil, and then back at sil "yes sil, im willing to do whatever it takes to keep you safe and to be with you." eric said. sil smiles softly as she places her hands on erics cheeks and leans forward to kiss him passionately. drake and the two guards stared in utter shock, disgust, confused but was surprised that eric was now in a relationship with sil, even though they didn't know that eric was the descendant of a scientist who worked on project athena, drake snapped out of shock "okay... excuse me, but what the heck just happened" drake asked with disgust.
eric pulls back from sil and turns to drake "that was a kiss, we are now in a relationship." eric explained. drake looks at eric like he was insane "you're going to be dating... sil?!" drake asked. eric looks at drake "yes, so what if i do. i don't need your permission." eric said. drake looks at eric with a mix of disgust and confusion "but she is a monster... an experament, she's not even human, she's an alien" drake said, but eric glared at drake "shut up! she's not a monster! she is also human and she deserves to be treated like one!" eric shouted. drake looks at eric shocked and confused "what... eric you're being crazy!" drake said. eric stares at drake "i am not being crazy drake! sil deserves to live! she deserves to be free! she deserves to be happy! she deserves to live her life to the fullest! so i suggest you shut your trap!" eric shouted. sil smiles warmly at eric "thank you eric. but i think its time we focus on getting off this station as you call it." she said before looking at the two guards who were scared to death "okay eric... sil can come with us." drake said. eric glares at drake "good, now let's get moving." eric said as the four of them ran through the corridors once again.
eventually they heard noises coming from the vents above and below. drake stopped the group "what the hell was that noise?" drake asked. sil looked around nervously as she held eric tight "its them..." sil whispered. eric looked at drake and the two guards "who is 'them'?" eric asked. drake sighed before responding "some of the animal half breeds that broke free... i think they somehow managed to get into the vents and have begun infesting it since." drake said. eric looks at the guards "where are your weapons?" eric asked. the two guards looked at each other and shrugged "the big guns, well most of them were taken by the other security team members. the only things we have are a grenade and some pistols." one of the guards said. eric glared at the guards before turning to sil "in the meantime, sil... can you protect us?" eric asked. sil looks at eric with confusion and concern "what do you mean?!" sil asked. eric looks at sil with determination "can you turn back into your alien form, if you want? like you did before." eric explained to her as he pointed at sil's stomach "before you got pregnant with your baby." sil looks at eric and blushes red as she looks away from him, her face and neck completely red as she tries to cover her stomach with her arms. drake and the two guards looked at eric with shock and confusion "you... you knew about that?" drake asked. eric shrugs "well yeah, i saw her in that form when she saved me from those guards. plus, sil told me all about what happened to herself in the past, everything." eric said. drake looked at eric with a mix of disgust and confusion "so... you've seen sil in her alien form?" drake asked. eric nods "yeah, i've seen sil's alien form before, plus it was the first time i've even seen her kill someone before." eric said before looking at sil "and im still not afraid of sil." eric said. sil blushes again as she looks away from him again. drake and the guards looked at eric with shock "well okay, thats good to know." drake said as he continues leading the group.
as they continued deeper into the station they noticed that there were holes all over the place, and vent covers ripped open "this is going to slow us down?" one of the guards said. drake nodded "we need to get off this station fast, but it's not going to happen if we get caught in the middle of an infestation." drake said. eric looks at sil "do you think they'll try to eat us?" eric asked. sil shook her head "i don't think so, everything you learned so far is that they are focused on reproducing." sil replied. drake sighs "okay, lets just keep moving." drake said, but just as they were about to move on, something caught sil's eye, it was a corpse of another one of the female human scientists except that her belly seemed to have burst. sil immediatly started to scream in horror at the sight of the poor woman, eric drake and the other two guards went over to check on her, except sil was too busy screaming and crying in eric's arms as he tried to comfort her "sil... sil calm down." eric said as he hugged sil. drake and the guards walked back to eric and sil, except their faces looked pale and shocked, drake looked at the corpse with both disgust and horror "what the fuck just happened?" drake asked. eric hesitated "sil... i don't think you should see this." eric said to sil who was still crying.
"im assuming this was the result of what happens if a male half-breed impregnates a human female, just like how patrick ross did it to many women?" eric asked. drake sighed before nodding "yeah... unfortunately that is correct. this is deffinetly the work of a male version of sil's species, but sil and patrick ross are not the only half breeds that were cloned in these experiments." drake said. eric and sil looked at drake with confusion "what do you mean?" eric asked. drake sighed "you see in 2007, there was an incident in mexico, turns out that some sick rogue scientist named forbes was experamenting with alien-human hybrid experiments, but these hybrids that he made were not from the same alien dna as sil or patrick ross, in fact unlike sil or patrick, forbe's alien human hybrids have a life span of one decade." drake explained. sil looks at drake with shock "so what happened?" sil asked. drake sighed "well apparently, he used the project for his own gain and make a profit out of it. also forbes used the experament to make himself sexual partners. thankfully he made them seritle and at somepoint he created a half-breed codenamed 'G178' she was raised by one of his associates Tom Hollander who claimed that she was his niece and her parents died in a car accident." drake explained. sil looks at drake "what happened to G178 and her so called uncle Tom hollander?" sil asked. drake sighs "dr tom Hollander did not approve of forbes methoids and abuse of the project, so he took her in as his niece and named her miranda. he began working at a museum, this job went on for a decade until one day in 2006, g178 now fully grown got sick and went on short period rampages and was injected with human horomones to surpress her alien side. it wasn't long until it was discovered that she was reaching the end of her lifespan." drake went on. eric looks at drake "how do you people know all this?" eric asked. drake sighed "well we didn't until 2007, lets keep walking and i'll explain further along the way. " drake said. the group continued to walk through the damaged vents as drake resumed speaking "The only cure to save miranda is to inject fresh human DNA into Miranda, in otherwords a human sacrifice. at least that's what we found in whats left of forbes lab, but it seemed that it also reversed the effects of her inability to have offspring. they found several victems and a half-breed male at an inn. eventully we found forbes naked corpse, turned out miranda had sex with him and got pregnant, but it seemed that she killed him seconds later." drake explained.
sil looked at drake with horror "what about miranda?!" sil asked. drake sighed "they got word that there was a fire at Forbes' house, we even found two female half-breed corpses. it seems that the half-breeds that forbes created don't regenerate or heal themselves." drake explained. sil looked at drake "i understand that this is serious, but why did you bring this up?" sil asked. drake sighed "the reason i brought this up is because... we cryogenicly freeze the remains of the half-breeds so that we can use em for experaments. i only hope that the company didn't clone them. cause if they mate with the half-breed subjects there is no telling what kind of half-breeds would be born." drake explained. eric looks at drake "so your telling me that sil is one of many half-breeds that were cloned." eric asked. drake nods "yes..." drake answered, except he didn't realize that sil was standing behind him staring at him in anger "WHAT DID YOU SAY!? HOW MANY HALF-BREEDS ARE ON THIS STATION!?" sil shouted in rage, causing the guards to immediately point their guns at her "sil... please calm down." eric said. drake holds up his hands defensively "i don't know much about the cloned ones, but if you're refering to the humans that were injected with your alien blood i think there are 17 of them." drake said. sil grabs drake by the shirt with anger and glares at him "what are we to you, just pet science projects and nothing more or less?" sil asked. drake sighs "look i can't answer that, i just run the scientific research facility, but i know that we are using the human-alien hybrids to create viral weaponry." drake explained. sil glares at drake "what kind of weaponry?" sil asked. drake sighs "we found that your dna can infect other organisms and turn into alien half-breeds. if ingested." drake tried to explain. sil slaps drake across the face "how could you do this to us!? we are living beings just like you!" sil shouted in anger. drake holds his cheek and rubs it "it's not my choice miss, i am just doing my job." drake replied. the group stood there for a moment in awkward silence, before eric broke the silence "sil... look at me." eric said. sil turns her face towards eric "yes?" sil asked. eric sighs "we should keep moving." eric said. sil looks at drake one last time before letting go of drake's shirt and following eric and the others through the vents. eric looked at drake "drake i need to ask you something." eric said. drake looked at eric with confusion "sure what is it?" drake asked. eric looked at drake seriously "have you ever heard of project Athena?" eric asked. drake stopped walking for a moment and looked at eric with shock "project... Athena?!" drake asked. eric nodded "yes, project Athena..." eric said. drake looked at eric with confusion "yeah why do you ask?" drake asked. eric sighs "well i just recently learned that i'm a descendant of a scientist that helped create sil, back in 1994." eric explained. drake looked at eric with surprise "seriously?!" drake asked. eric nodded "yes... i've read the files about her, my grandfather was a doctor named daniel blu, he worked for seti institute during the 1970's and help create sil." eric explained. drake nodded "oh yeah, or so i heard..." drake said.
eric just sighed feeling uneasy about everything thats been going around "listen drake, if there are secrets you people are hiding, it would make things more serious than ever, plus sil already upset enough and i don't want her to go down that same path she did in her past life..." eric tried to reason with drake "look i'm sorry for lying to you earlier, but i've read your file and already knew that your anscestor took part in project athena, but i also learned that you were involved in a certain project in 2107. am i right?" drake asked. eric looked at drake feeling surprised "how did you know that?" eric asked. drake sighed "well i was just doing my job, you were a very interesting subject eric, a direct descendant of dr daniel blu and the first human to have ever made contact with sil..." drake explained. eric looks at drake with shock "you knew i was in contact with her all along?" eric asked. drake nodded "yes, well i've been watching sil's progress since i arrived here, but i swear i had no idea that you'd end up having a relationship with her." drake said. eric looks at drake "did you see me go inside sil's containment chamber?" eric asked feeling uneasy. drake shook his head "no, but we had cameras in there. but... WAIT YOU WENT INSIDE HER CONTAINMENT CHAMBER!? ARE YOU MAD?" drake shouted . eric held up his hands defensively "listen i know i went in without permission, but she wasn't violent towards me, i explained to her about her origins and showed her some footage of project athena." eric tried to explain. drake sighed "okay fine, but please tell me you used a condom..." drake asked. eric blushes "I DIDN'T HAVE SEX WITH HER! but... we just... sort of made out a little." eric admitted feeling embarrassed. drake sighed "alright whatever... anyway eric, i know this might sound crazy, but i'm glad that you've been talking to sil." drake said. eric looked at drake curiously "why?" eric asked. drake sighs "because... now i understand that sil isn't really much of a bad person, but... i think i should tell you to be more careful around her. just some advice." drake explained.
eric just gave drake a blank stare "whatever?" eric said. drake sighed "look eric, you should watch yourself around her okay, i'm telling you this because..." drake explained. eric turns his face towards drake "oh my god, will you shut up about sil, i practicly know more about her than you ever did... and stop trying to manipulate me into leaving her behind." eric shouted at drake. drake looked at eric shocked "what?! why are you saying this to me? i just told you to be more careful around her." drake said. eric glared at drake "cause i know what you're really trying to say, and it's that you want me to leave her behind and continue escaping without her. but no way, cause she needs our help too, besides she already knows about this company amd your employer's real intentions are." eric explained . drake looked at eric shocked "she knows about our employer's true intentions?! how did she find out?" drake asked. eric sighed "i somehow hacked into one of the computers and found classified documents about a project involving her dna and using her dna on live human criminals..." eric explained. drake sighed "well that was classified for a reason, cause we're trying to keep it a secret. but... oh my god she knows about it, this isn't good..." drake said. eric looked at drake curiously "what do you mean?" eric asked. drake sighed "well i don't really know cause i've been kept out of the loop. but i do know that our employer plans on using sil's dna for biological weaponry, they want to build an army of soldiers similar to sil, but more obedient..." drake explained. eric looked at drake with shock "what?! how did you know about this? are you still hiding something behind our backs." eric asked. their conversation was then suddenly interrupted when they heard a scratching and screeching sound coming from the vents. drake and eric immediately stopped speaking and stared at eachother "what was that?" drake asked nervously. eric shrugged "i don't know, maybe a rat or something?" eric replied. drake sighed "well it sounds like it came from the vent, we should..." drake then stopped at midsentence when he realized something "wait a minute a rat..." drake repeated before everyone turned their faces towards one of the damaged ventilation shaft and saw a shadow of something inside the vents. suddenly a rat like creature jumped out of the vent, eric recognised it as one of the station's experaments, it seemed to have the appearance of sil's alien form, except that it seems to have 4 spider like legs that replaced its usual legs and four more skinny spider legs growing out from its sides. the rat creature's mouth was filled with sharp needle-like teeth that can penetrate the skin. it also had multiple worm like tongues which seem almost simaler to sil's tongue. there were sharp spines growing out of its back which appear transparent.
eric then saw another one of those rat creatures emerge from the vents, and it looked exactly like the other one. drake noticed eric staring at the creatures in awe "eric? what's wrong?" drake asked curiously. eric turned to drake "these creatures, i've seen them in a video log... they were one of the station's experiments..." eric explained. drake looked at eric confused "you mean the experiments that involve injecting sil's blood into animals?" drake asked. eric sighed "well... i've read some classified documents about how sil's dna was used to infect animals to create a hybrid species..." eric explained. drake looked at eric confused "wait so these creatures are hybrids between sil's species and rats?" drake asked. eric nodded "yes, it seems that way..." eric said. drake looked at eric worried "well... i guess this would be a good time to run?" drake suggested. eric nodded "yeah lets get out of here!" eric replied. drake nodded and started heading down the hallway, eric sil and the other two guards followed shortly after.
the half-breed rats then started to swarm in and charge at the group in full speed. drake and the other guards started shooting the rat half-breeds with their pistols, yet they've only managed to kill a few of them but needed to save their ammo, and the half-breeds continued charging towards them. "oh shit! get to the elevator..." drake shouted. one of the guards suddenly trips on something and fell. the half breeds immediately pounced on him and attacked him by biting and clawing at his body. sil immediately ran towards the guard and uses her tongue to dart at the mutated rats before snatching them in her grasp and crushing their bodies as if they were nothing but cans of soda. sil immediately grabbed hold of the guard and carried him away from the half-breed rodents. she then picked up the guard's gun and threw it to eric who caught it in midair. eric aimed and started shooting the half-breed rats with the guard's gun, causing them to regroup and charge at eric instead. eric continued shooting them until he ran out of ammo, and he immediately threw the gun to the side and ran towards the elevator. drake was already inside the elevator and held the doors open for the group to come inside. eric was the first to run into the elevator, sil immediately ran inside the elevator next carrying the injured guard. drake then closed the door immediately after sil walked inside the elevator. eric turned around and heard the half-breed rats scratching at the door. he turned to drake "are you sure the doors are secure?" eric asked. drake nodded "yeah the doors are reinforced, they shouldn't be able to get inside." drake said. eric breathed a sigh of relief. suddenly the elevator shook violently, and eric felt himself fall against the wall. eric immediately regained his balance and saw that sil was still holding onto the guard's body. eric immediately move towards sil and helped her with the guard's body. sil looked at eric confused "thank you." sil said. eric smiled at sil "no problem, glad to help." eric replied. drake sighed and turned to eric "so how is the guard doing?" drake asked. eric looked at the guard's wounds "he's got some severe cuts and bite marks, but he's still alive so thankfully its not fatal." eric said. drake sighed in relief "okay good, cause i was worried." drake said. eric nodded "yeah i'm relieved too." eric said. drake sighed "well i guess we'll need to call for medical assistance once we reach the docking area." drake said. eric nodded "yeah that's a good idea." eric said. sil suddenly spoke "we need to hurry." sil said. drake and eric immediately turned to sil "why?" drake asked curiously.
meanwhile in several parts of the station, the female human-alien half-breeds have already started to give birth to their offspring, and each female half-breed gave birth to a live infant baby. eventually the infant babies will grow and developed at a rapid rate and soon become fully mature adults within months or days. however, it seemed that some of half-breed children didn't inherit their mother's or father's infected alien-human characteristics. the half-breed children seem to be more similar to the offspring of patrick ross and eve, some of the offspring were male, while others were female. the females had a translucent blue skin color and also had glowing blue eyes. the males had greenish transparent brown skin, and had glowing yellow eyes.
