Meanwhile, drake headed down the dark corridors of the station, yet for some strange reason he immediately felt like he was being watched, and it gave him the chills, he knew that the director would go to any length to keep sil for themselves. Drake immediately pulled out a small pistol from his pocket and walked through the dark corridors, he immediately walked towards a room and checked it for any threats before moving on. Then suddenly he bumped into somebody, and that somebody immediately attacked drake and pinned him to the wall, "im drake, im on your side!" drake said. The figure immediately stopped in shock, "who are you?" the figure asked. Drake immediately stared at the figure, "i am dr. drake, i'm one of the scientists that work here." drake said. the figure immediately turned on his flashlight and shined it on his face, revealing himself as a man in his mid-thirties "my name is joe, i am a security officer. i was trying to reach the docking area but the entrance is sealed." joe said. Drake immediately frowned, "yes, i know... a synth named miller sealed it off and i believe the director ordered him to kill me and two others." drake said. Joe immediately looked at drake in confusion, "the director? why would the director want you killed?" joe asked. drake immediately sighed "we were trying to escape the station. also we were helping an alien-human halfbreed escape." drake said. joe immediately looked at drake with a surprised expression, "an alien-human hybrid?" joe asked. Drake immediately nodded his head "yes, she is called sil. they used her blood to inject into human and animal subjects to make more half-breeds for super solder research or something." drake said. Joe immediately frowned, "you mean those things that are running around on this station are alien-human hybrids?" joe said. drake immediately nodded his head "yes, they are the ones that were causing the chaos." drake said. joe immediately frowned, "okay, i see... so how do we get out of here?" joe asked. Drake immediately sighed, "well... i did plan to escape but not now, i need to get to the director and confront him NOW! after that i plan to use the remaining escape pod" drake explained. Joe immediately nodded his head "okay, im with you." joe said. drake immediately nodded his head and they both started walking down the hallway, but then suddenly heard a noise, it was the sound of someone (or something) coming towards them. Drake immediately pointed his pistol at the sound and joe did the same, but then they saw another figure come towards them and they both immediately stopped, revealing themselves as solders that were stationed here.
"joe?" one of the solders said. Joe immediately sighed in relief and walked towards them, "im okay, im okay... im sorry i haven't been responding to any comms. my radio was damaged." joe said. the solders immediately nodded their heads, "we've been looking for you sir. also we heard that you were trying to escape." one of the solders said. joe nervously scratched the back of his head "well... you know the situation here. the station is infested and everyone is at risk. but drake here wants to confront the director of the station" joe explained. the solders immediately looked at each other in confusion, "the director? why?" one of the solders asked. Drake immediately sighed and explained the situation, "i believe he ordered the synths to seal off the docking area and ordered miller to kill me and two others." drake said. the solders immediately nodded their heads in agreement, "okay, we're with you sir." one of the solders said. joe immediately nodded his head "okay, lets go." joe said. drake and joe started walking with the solders down the hallway, but then suddenly heard another noise, this time the sound of gunfire. drake immediately pointed his pistol at the sound and they all saw a man being attacked by a humanoid creature that resembled sil's alien form, it was another criminal subject but this one was male and he had tentacles for hair, a hunched back and digitigrade legs with claws. the man screamed and begged for help, but it was too late as the creature ripped his stomach out, killing him instantly. drake immediately fired his pistol at the creature and the creature's wounds start to heal rapidly as he moved towards drake, they all immediately fired multiple shots and the creature immediately stopped in its tracks before turning around facing a female half-breed. both half-breeds approached each-other in mutual affection, while drake observed this from a distance and judging from its appearance he can definitely confirm that this female half-breed is not sil or cindy, but she is also different, this female half-breed had long copper and bronze tentacles for hair and her skin was almost like sil's exoskeleton, drake immediately concluded that this half-breed must have been another one of the subjects that was injected with sil's blood and somehow sil's blood may have also given these half-breeds different kinds of alien forms.
drake knew that this was the chance for them to make a run for it and get to the director of the station, "lets go!" drake shouted and they all ran down the hallway. drake knew that there might be other survivors still wandering the station or in hiding or fighting back against these half-breeds that are roaming this station, and that meant that their survival was slim.
meanwhile in the vents, the remaining guard named gig led sil and eric through the vents and towards a circular shaped entrance leading to level 2. gig immediately looked at sil and eric in confusion, but deep down he felt that this was the only way to reach the docking area , because the hallway was completely sealed off and the doors won't open for anything, even with his ID badge, and he didn't want to end up like his colleagues. "okay, i think this is far enough away from the fire, but there's no guarantee that we might not be at the docking area, means that we might have to travel through some more corridors to reach the docking area." gig said. sil immediately nodded her head and immediately turned towards eric, eric immediately looked at sil with a smile on his face, knowing that they are almost free from this nightmare. "lets go" eric said. eric and sil crawled through the vent first and followed the path, while gig sticks close behind them and kept watch for any signs of danger. eric and sil looked around and they noticed that they were in a long and narrow corridor, it was very dark and cold but eric could see there are doors all lined up like hotel, this was obviously an apartment area for all the scientists that work at the station, or for civilians who came here just to rest for a while before leaving the station and he knew that this was not the time to think about it. the three of them slowly walked through the hallway, then they immediately saw an airlock and next to it were spacesuits lined up. eric immediately grabbed one and threw it at sil, "put this on" he said. sil immediately looked at the spacesuit and then she looked at eric "what clothes are these?" sil asked as she became curious about what it is. gig immediately looked at sil "what? you never seen a spacesuit before?" he asked. eric immediately shook his head and chuckled, "no, she's not from here. she's half human and half alien. plus she does not know much about space." eric explained. sil immediately looked at eric and giggled "well... i know some things about space, after all i was made from some note from space." she said. gig immediately looked at sil in confusion, "well this is a space suit, it basically protects you from dangerous environments of outer space, vacuum and extreme temperatures." gig explained. sil immediately nodded her head and she put the spacesuit on, gig immediately nodded his head "good. now we need to make sure that our suits are sealed tight, even a small leak can be dangerous, even fatal." gig said. gig immediately closed his helmet and checked eric's and sil's to make sure their suits are sealed tight. eric immediately felt nervous and anxious, he never been on a spacewalk before, but he did train on simulations for emergency situations and then he remembered that sil had never been in space before and never been on a spacewalk or did any simulation for times like this, he hoped that she would be okay, eric immediately looked at sil, her eyes were closed as she was deep in thought and contemplating. "sil? you okay? are you feeling nervous or anxious?" eric asked. sil immediately opened her eyes and looked at eric "yes. but i am ready to go outside." she said. eric immediately nodded his head and smiled before telling her "sil these suits can only last us enough air for about 8 hours so we are limited on time so just stick with me and well be safe. but don't breath too deep, just breath normal." eric explains to sil. sil immediately nodded her head and then looked at gig who was now standing infront of the airlock, "okay, this is it. we are going EVA, so lets go." gig said. both eric and sil immediately nodded their heads and then watched as gig opened the airlock and the three of them entered then closed the hatch.
sil immediately looked at eric in confusion "what is that?" she asked. eric immediately looked at the button on the wall "that's a depressurization switch, we need to activate it before we can go outside." he explained. eric immediately activated the switch and the three of them watched as the air pressure went down and then finally reached zero. then the hatch opened and just before the three of them could exit the station, gig took out a cable link to attach to their belts. "what's this?" sil asked. gig immediately looked at eric "it's a tether cable, it connects us together so that we don't lose eachother or float off into space." gig explained. eric took the tether cable from gig and attached it to his suit belt and sil. gig did the same thing. eric immediately looked at sil "okay, this is it. this is the point of no return." eric said. sil immediately looked at eric and giggled "what do you mean?" she asked. eric immediately looked at sil, "i mean... that once we go outside, there's no turning back." eric explained. sil immediately nodded her head and smiled, eric immediately did the same thing. the two of them watched as gig climbed out the hatch and they slowly made their way out. they were greeted by the blackness of space, stars twinkled in their eyes and they could see the planet right next to them. eric noticed sil who was taking in the scenery of deep space. there were no words for her to discribe something so vast and mysterious, but also terrifying. sil can feel her heart pounding in her chest as she stared out into space, eric placed a hand on her sholder "what do you think?" he asked. sil immediately turned to look at eric with a smile on her face "it's beautiful" she said. eric immediately nodded his head in agreement "yeah, i know... but its also kinda scary..." he said. then the three of them started making their way to the docking bay which was located at the far end of the station "it will be a long way to travel so try and follow me okay" gig commanded, but eric hopes that they could make it without any problems or encounters. eric immediately looked at gig who was now grabing onto a ladder and pulling himself along to reach the docking bay. eric immediately followed him from behind with sil right behind him and grabbed onto the ladder. . eric immediately turned to look at sil who was staring into space with her eyes wide with awe. sil was thinking about what she learned about herself and the idea of beings out there beyond those tiny lights that covered the darkness. "sil" eric said. sil immediately turned to look at eric "yes?" she asked. "we gotta move, we need to reach the docking bay before we run out of air. also whatever you do, don't stare directly into the sun, it might hurt your eyes and cause blindness." eric explained. sil immediately nodded her head and then followed eric as they continued to pull themselves to the docking bay. eric was happy that they made it this far without any problems, but he was worried about the journey ahead and what they might encounter. suddenly what caught their eye was what appeared to be an eruption of fire located somewhere near the docking bridge, the group could only assumed that its from the isolated area where the docking area was sealed off, and they knew that they were running out of time. eric immediately looked at gig "we need to hurry!" he said. gig immediately looked at eric "i know!" he said. eric immediately followed gig to the docking bay, but he could feel that sil was lagging behind him. eric immediately stopped and turned to look at her "sil?" he said. sil immediately stopped and looked at eric "what?" she asked. eric immediately looked at sil with a confused look on his face "are you okay?" he asked. sil immediately nodded her head "yes..." she said. eric immediately looked at her with a confused look on his face "well why are you slowing down?" he asked.
"i'm sorry, its just that im worried about what's happening down there and im not sure if i can trust this man" sil said. eric immediately looked at sil with a concerned expression on his face "what do you mean?" he asked. sil immediately looked at eric "well i know that the corporation has done some bad things and im not sure if i can trust them now, i'm worried that they might stop us before we can escape." she explained. eric immediately looked at sil with a confused look on his face "i don't think that will happen." he said. sil immediately nodded her head "i understand, but what about the other hybrids, are they okay?" she asked. eric immediately looked at sil and sighed "i don't know, sil... i know that you feel that they are like you but they are not... they are dangerous and unpredictable." he said. sil immediately looked at eric with a confused look on her face "but they're just like me" she said. eric immediately looked at sil with a sad expression on his face "i know, sil, but they are not the same... they don't have your memories or your personality. they are now just like patrick ross when he was infected." he explained. sil immediately nodded her head, but she knew that the other hybrids are not like her. but she knew that they could be like her if given a chance. eric immediately looked at sil "are you okay?" he asked. sil immediately looked at eric and sighed "i don't know" she said. eric immediately placed a hand on sil's shoulder "it will be okay, im sure that they might start to colonize one of the planet's moons someday." eric explained. sil immediately looked at eric with a smile on her face "do you think they will?" she asked. eric immediately looked at sil and nodded his head "yeah, i think they will." eric said. then eric noticed that gig was starting to move again "sil, eric, we need to move, we need to reach the docking bay before we run out of air." gig explained. both eric and sil immediately nodded their heads and then followed gig as they continued to pull themselves to the docking bay. eric then spotted another airlock hatch which was located near the docking bay. eric immediately grabbed sil's hand and pulled her to the airlock. once they entered the airlock, eric immediately activated the airlock and then sealed it tight.
