Hangtown - Volume X
Phoebus walks into Naveen's house and starts to take in the whole party atmosphere, he sees people that are dancing to the music. Speaking of the music blasting loud, he's surprised that the nearby neighbors haven't made a complaint yet. Anyway, he also notices people starting to get a little bit…carried away
"Well, that is something I don't plan on doing tonight", he said to himself
The big takeaway he got from entering the house was noticing the decorations from the inside and how they pretty much covered his entire house. The balloons that were across the stairway, The string lights that were hanging from above them. Even the balloon archway that was there for people to enter the house. He noticed the catering booth by a counter that was serving food to guests and even a photo booth where guests could take photos to save the memories of this party. Not to mention the karaoke machine as well. As Phoebus was taking all this in, he noticed Esmeralda and Quasimodo nearby and walked towards them
"Hey you two", he says
"Hey Phoebus", said Quasimodo, "Glad you made it"
"Esmeralda, what's u…" Before Phoebus could finish what he had to say she had given him a hug. It was a short hug, lasting for a few seconds, but for the both of them, it felt like it lasted for a few minutes. She had let go
"Up", Phoebus getting a chance to finish his sentence to Esmeralda
"Am I in the middle of something?", asked Quasimodo
"No, Quasi you're not", answered Esmeralda, "I'm just glad that one of my best friends showed up" She looked up and smiled at Phoebus
"I'm glad that I showed up for my best friend", he smiled back at her
"Phoebus is that you?", chimed Megara who walked up to him with Pocahontas
"Yep, it's me, glad to see you, Meg"
"Glad to see you as well thinking that you weren't going to show up"
"That's because I really wasn't, do you see how I'm dressed compared to everybody here?", asked Phoebus promoted a little laugh by everyone in the conversation
"Well, the most important thing is that you made it here", said Pocahontas
"Well said Poca", said Esmeralda, "The most important thing is that all six of you were able to make it…Now thinking about it, we have me, Phoebs, Quasi, Meg, and you Poca right here, any idea where Ali and Flynn could be?"
"Good question, with a greater answer", said Megara, "Whatever those two are doing, just hope that they come out safe"
DAY OF PARTY - ALADDIN & FLYNN
Aladdin and Flynn were roaming around Naveen's house looking at everything it had to offer
"Man I wonder how the hell this guy doesn't get lost here?", asked Flynn, "It's like trying to decipher a damn maze or something"
"I can agree to that", says Aladdin, "Oh my goodness, Flynn, look behind you…"
What was behind Flynn was the house's library which was filled to the brim with books, books, and more books
"Holy shit, Ali, this library is like bigger than our two houses combined"
"Tell me about it"
"Imagine if Belle stumbled upon this"
"Dude she would literally flip"
"I know, what's the odds that he comes in here and reads?"
"Probably slim to none, since he puts all his attention flirting with other girls", Aladdin said with a bit of anger in his voice. He finds a nearby bench and sits down. Flynn eventually joins him on the bench and continues the conversation.
"Hey man, you can't focus on what happened in the past, focus on the now, focus on tonight, I mean did you get a chance to see her at all?"
"No, Flynn"
"Well, are you going to?"
"Yes, it's just…" Aladdin pauses
"C'mon man, tell me what's holding you back?"
"It's just, I don't want to look stupid in front of her, the only problem with that is that 'looking stupid' is kinda the basis of my personality"
"So what I think you're trying to say to me is that you want to be more serious rather than silly?"
"Yep"
"Another question…have you ever in your life been a serious person?"
"Nope"
"See that's the point man, don't lose what makes you…you, be yourself and don't pretend to be somebody else and if she doesn't appreciate you for who you are, then I think it's best to find someone else"
Aladdin took some reflection before he took the time to respond
"Thanks for the advice Flynn"
"No problem, Ali, normally I would charge five dollars, but since you are my friend, you get the 100% discount"
The two of them laughed the comment off. They then got up from the bench to continue to roam the house. All of a sudden Flynn gets called by someone
"Flynn?", the girl asked
Flynn turns around and sees the girl
"Kim", said Flynn, "and you Ron", he continued
"What's up, Flynn", said Ron
"Um, Flynn, not to be rude, but who are they?" Aladdin asked
"Remember when I said that I had some friends in Middleton"
"Oh, that's right"
"Yep Aladdin these are Kim and Ron, Kim and Ron, this is Aladdin"
"Glad to meet you Aladdin", said Kim
"Same here", said Ron
"Oh please, everyone around here calls me Ali"
"Anyway, how did you two hear about the party?" asked Flynn
"Internet", said Kim
"Oh, that makes sense, he was posting those damn flyers online on social media"
"Yep, I we just figured we just stop by because we knew that we might run into you", said Ron
"Okay cool, how are you two liking the party so far"
"It's been alright for the most part", said Kim, "Ron and I were just roaming the halls, which I assume you two have been doing as well"
"Yep"
"KP, can't you believe that he has a whole gym in his house"
"A GYM!", exclaimed both Aladdin and Flynn, "Scratch what I said about the library being bigger than both of our houses Ali, this house might be bigger than my entire neighborhood block", said Flynn
The two of them calmed down a bit so they could continue with the conversation
"Anyway, we are going to continue to explore, it was nice to see you two again, Ron tell Rufus I said hi"
"And it was so glad to meet both of you"
"You too, we'll see you two around"
"Yep definitely Flynn, see you both around"
Kim and Ron go their separate ways from Aladdin and Flynn who continue to explore Naveen's house
"Man, those two were really cool", said Aladdin
"Yep, most definitely", said Flynn
"By the way, who's Rufus?"
"Oh, that's Ron's pet, a naked mole rat"
"A naked what?"
DAY OF PARTY - BACK TO PHOEBUS
Phoebus is now on his own doing his explorations of the party scene. He is then stopped by someone
"Phoebus", the guy says"
Phoebus turns around and notices it was Naveen
"Naveen, what's up?",
"Nothing too much, just wanting to say thanks for showing up"
"No problem"
"Your fit is, um…cool"
"Thanks, but you don't have to hide how you really feel about it, this was pretty last minute"
"Well, okay then…can I offer you a…beverage?", Naveen asked suggestively
"Um, I'm good, I drove myself here, and I plan on driving myself back"
"Ok then, is there anything else I can do?"
"Um yes, giving me the location of your bathroom, I forgot to use mine before I drove here"
"Sure, man, walk straight into the hallway behind me and then right, or if you want the one further down the hall, continue to walk straight passing the first bathroom make a left, and then a short right"
"Thanks, I'll plan on going to the first one I see", said Phoebus as he prepared to go to the bathroom. He eventually reaches it and the first thing he notices how spacious it is there
"Damn, this is bigger than my room, can fit a whole queen size bed in here if you really wanted to, anyway, let me do what I need to do so I can get out of here"
As Phoebus was using the bathroom, that blank stare overcame him once again
"Really, are you kidding me, now, at this moment, at this moment when am using the bathroom, let alone someone else's bathroom"
He quickly gets out of this stare as he flushes the toilet and washes his hands. As he washes his hands the the stare comes back bigger and now he's staring at the mirror, the large, clean, and shiny mirror
"Dammit, why am I doing this, why is it popping up here at this party. I knew that coming here was going to be a mistake for me, my head was somewhere else. After I walk out of this bathroom, I am going to leave and hope that no one notices"
He continues to wash his hands
"But what about Esmeralda, she is one of your best friends, you can't disappoint her, she drove to your house to convince you to show up to this party, you can't leave. What would be the reaction if I did though, would she be angry or would she understand, or a combination of both? The only way to find out is to leave…but that's too much trouble that I don't want to cause, we'll just see how this night turns out"
Phoebus stops washing his hands and exits the bathroom, as he walks out the hallway into the main party area he feels like everything is in slow motion, maybe it's because of the flashing lights and how loud the music is…or it's just his own doing. Anyway, he knows that he's got to snap out of this quickly. Eventually, he does when he hears a familiar voice coming on to the karaoke microphone
"Hello everyone, can I just have everyone come to the main living room please"
The voice on the microphone was none other than Esmeralda. Phoebus finally feels like he's moving in real-time again as he and the other party guest go to the main living room. Everyone comes in and Esmeralda continues
"First off, I just want to thank everyone that has shown up, how are you all liking the party so far?"
Everyone cheers
"Well, that's great because the party is far from over…anyway, the reason why you all are in the main living room is because it's now time for karaoke!"
Everyone begins to murmur
"Now, the rules are simple, you are going to come in, pick a song, and then sing your heart out, or at least try to sing your heart out"
Some people give a little chuckle
"Okay, with that being said…who would like to go up first?"
As she said that, she noticed that someone was oddly absent from the group
She said to herself, "Hmm…where's Naveen?"
First off, my apologies for not posting on time...I went out with my family yesterday and had a great time :)...but I am back and here posting today. So, Phoebus does make it to the party and gets a hug from Esmeralda...interesting. Also, did you all like the Kim & Ron cameo? Let me know in the review section.
