Hey guys! Crescent Rider here and I welcome you all to my new Overlord Original Fanfic! But before you begin, here are a few things I want to clarify first before you begin.

First, there's NO Nazarick here. Neither will it make an appearance, instead it'll be focused on my Original Characters slowly getting accustomed to the New World. If I see anyone complaining why Ainz or Nazarick is present or mentioned, then I insist you find a story where Ainz and Nazarick are present.

Second, speaking of the New World. I haven't decided on whether I should stick to the New World of Overlord or make a vastly different one. I'll leave that up to you guys to decide.

Third, you may or may not agree. But this story is still a Crossover Story between Overlord and Multiple Series such as Fate Stay Night, Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, etc.

Lastly, the way I update this story is included in my Mass Release Plan. So you may as well wait until I've updated multiple stories at a time.

That is all I have to say and enjoy the chapter!

YGGDRASIL, 2138

After twelve years of service in the virtual network, the popular DMMO-RPG Game reached its end, and servers were expected to close after midnight tonight. Even before it reached its end, a large number of players opted to retire after the game's golden era had ended, game-changing events finished, and almost all of the Nine Realms were discovered and explored.

As the saying goes, All good things must come to an end...

Hidden within the largest mountain of Jotunheim lies a large guild base, an appearance akin to a castle. Former home of the Guild [Primordial Force]. The symbol on their banner was three ice shards at the bottom, a large flame at the top, and a small singular star at the very middle.

Though its name was considered intimidating by few, they were a guild based upon Information Gathering and Delivery, and many guilds far and wide heavily relied on them for the proper price...

Their numbers may composed of seventy-four members. The guild was originally composed of just twenty-two members yet many guilds still relied on the information they held within their archives. What spared them from potential guild sieges was their possession of a World Item, which acted as a deterrent against any opposition.

Those who dared were met with a force beyond the game's parameters while the guild and their secret remained safe and secure...

It was even believed that [Primordial Force] had long existed through YGGDRASIL's service, and few claimed that its ranking members were composed of few Game Developers. No one knows for certain, but rumors of their secrecy are deeper than many guilds of the game.

Now, it is but a shadow of its former glory, and a total of three members are active and present at the round table of [Primordial Force] Gathering Hall...

"It feels so awfully quiet... Without the others that is,"

One of the Guild's Top Members was an Abyssal Lord with a set of horns curved in the same manner as his albino hair, glowing amber eyes, a pale but well-built body, dark purple razor-tipped scales from shoulders to wrist, horns at the back, long demonic claws, a scaly tail, and razor feet.

His attire consisted of a dark mantle, a purple diamond-shaped necklace that suppresses his malevolent passive skill [Dark Aura], his guild ring on his left middle finger, a gold ring with a red diamond on top on his left ring finger, and a gold enchanted ring to his right ring finger.

This player is D3ath 3 Br1ng3r, The De Facto Leader of his guild and a long-time supporter of YGGDRASIL's Developers. In the real world, he was Oujin Tetsuya, a young but rising CEO of Tetsuya Corp. after his grandfather and father passed long ago.

Though many have doubted his age and ability to manage a Major Corporation, he had proven himself to be quite efficient and influential in various fields and became a notable figure in three months after he took his position. Many envied him for his gradual success and family upbringing, but Oujin felt unfulfilled and unsatisfied in his position.

For living such a luxurious life, he wished to share it with those who suffered below but relented in showing his benevolent intentions due to business rivals and his position in high society. The last man who tried was met with unbound scorn by powerful people and shunned before their impending disappearance a week later.

Thus, Oujin forced himself to live a luxurious life while let those below and around him suffered at the hands and judgment of the corrupt. It tore through him like a wave violently crashing upon an island, only he was above ground while people below pleaded for his aid before being swept away by the endless tide.

Under normal circumstances, he would have broken and become a husk of who he was before he was CEO. But he didn't due to the love and influence of his beloved wife/fellow guild member, Queen Arachnida.

Given her heteromorphic race, she would've looked more like a monster. But with the use of a rare enchanted necklace, she donned the appearance of a beautiful woman with white long luscious hair, scarlet-red eyes, a fine-curved body, and four long folded spider legs on her back.

Her attire mainly consists of a rare and luxurious-looking robe which increases her avatar's intellect five times over, a gold custom-made arm bracelet bearing the emblem of an eight-legged spider with three gemstones on each leg and a large gemstone serving as its abdomen, and dons the same rings as her beloved husband.

In real life, she was an inspiring surgeon, Dr. Amari Tominaga, and her prestigious record was highly spoken among surgeons across the country. Many of her patients have claimed that if it weren't for her diligence and effort, they wouldn't have lived longer than expected.

As many look up to her, some despise her as she values all life they'd be rich or poor, and potential clients slipped from their hands to hers. What made their wrath worse was her marriage to Shirai Tetsuya after they met during a routine check-up of the latter's father and naturally fell for one another.

One after another, their marriage was solidified and it became a natural deterrent to those who dared try to control her. When dared, those people were never seen or heard from again as the man she married was no stranger to darkness...

As for why they spend time in the game, the two supported the company's developers ever since the game was in the first stages of development. Also, they wanted to check up on the third remaining member of [Primordial Force]...

"Jin... It's time," Queen Arachnida initiated,

D3ath 3 Br1ng3r let out a sigh with a heavy heart through his mic and stood from the table. He then walked with his beloved to the doors and the two gave one last look at the gathering hall before shutting the doors behind them.

Primordial Force's Guild Base was much like an enormous castle with seven sector-based floors and they were on one of the three floors where only the first 22 members were allowed entry. The other four floors were used for the common members and visitors of all but certain rules had to be followed or the Guild's countermeasures would come into effect and many were barred entry or exit until the matter was resolved.

Courtesy of the two players present after a unanimous vote was carried out with the twenty-two Members the rate of such incidents lessened as their countermeasures constantly affected the guild's violators...

After walking through a few doors and corridors lies an automatic [Gate] and the two marched right through...

They arrive at the top floor of the castle, the Royal Suite Floor and its design resembles that of a prestigious city with tall towers and buildings, high-quality stores and establishments, and all other things that symbolize high society's excellence and arrogance.

But even with such a guild floor design, there was good within certain areas that represent the opposite of arrogance: humility...

By walking down the streets of this supposed city, they reach a portal that leads to a large and fertile estate with a fine manor at the top of the hill and a rural town just a few meters away...

The two players held each other's hands as they took a long walk down memory lane.

This area was designed as an ideal fantasy of theirs and the other twenty members. A large home with fertile soil, fine stone paths, blue sky, peaceful town, and away from everything they wholeheartedly detest in the real world. They've even added NPCs in the town which are composed of various races within human disguises.

As they viewed humanity of the world, a monster beneath human skin...

The two players soon reached the gate, and the gemstones of their rings glowed. In response, the metal gates opened automatically and they walked right through, then over some ceramic stairs they've implied in the manor's design.

The doors were open by hand and entered a familiar scenery that they and their friends would often gather on special occasions. The reception hall with an automatic voice message from the Head Butler, "Welcome home, My Lords..."

"Just as we implemented, didn't we?" D3ath 3 Br1ng3r remarked with pride,

"Indeed, though V0rtr3x-san and Moon-san would always be the first to comment on how grand this place we've designed with our hearts and dreams," Queen Arachnada stated, then felt somewhat disheartened by their friends' absence, "If only everyone were here one last time,"

"I know how you feel, but you should know that they didn't have much of a choice in that world. And some are just..." D34th 3 Br1ng3r couldn't bring himself to say the four-letter word, so he refrained from outright saying it and focused on the real topic at hand, "Forget what I've said, What we should do is head for the bedroom and check on her today,"

His wife agreed as she set her nostalgia and disheartenment aside and went for a bedroom of the manor with her husband. They passed through a few corridors, doors, and NPCs as the manor servants...

The two were hesitant but after a deep breath, D34th 3 Br1ng3r was the one who opened the door, and before them was a small bedroom painted in Mauve and a bed where the final remaining member of Primordial Force lies.

She was a small Arachnid with short albino hair, emerald eyes, and four long spider legs on her back and folded like wings. Her attire consisted of a tube top, and hot pants, adorned with straps around her waist and legs, and one ring on each of her ring fingers.

This was Hope, their young and beloved daughter. In the real world, her name is Hina Tominaga. Much like them, she was present in the development of YGGDRASIL and became an exclusive member of the guild. Though she is considered a visitor, her appearances in the game were always met with glee as she's the youngest out of all the members and few even claimed that she was the guild's young mascot.

But what they adore about her is her desire to explore the Nine Realms of YGGDRASIL and discover every conceivable detail and secret as the developers intended for players. Even when they were under the constant fear of losing levels due to PvP.

To protect her from such occurrences, the guild made her an honorary member and bestowed her a World Item to boot. This World Item was [Nine Realms' Unity] and it allowed the player in possession of it to travel the realms much like a [Teleportation], however, the path to a realm is different and many players aren't susceptible to finding it due to them being so overly worried of losing levels to... Potential danger...

However, she didn't waver from those dangers and discovered more of Yggdrasil than any other player. This includes the time when she completes a prophetic catastrophe of Yggdrasil burns one of the Nine Realms out of existence along with a few notable guilds with it.

It soon made her infamous throughout the other Eight Realms, [Primordial Force] still protected them and their knowledge and possession [Gjallarhorn] urged her enemies to back off or suffer the consequences. In response, guilds and players who resent her were roused to the cause of eliminating her and [Primordial Force] for good.

But just as she was infamous, she was famous to others as they took up arms upon hearing the guild's plight and went against vast adversity. Leading to what was considered the largest guild war to have occurred at Jotunheim. If not all of YGGDRASIL...

The outcome was that [Primordial Force] and its allies triumphed while the defeated left the guild and Hope alone for good. To this day, it was a glorious battle and the guild's allies were preserved in the form of well-made portraits publicly displayed within the guild base's hall of memories on one of their floors...

Now those memories were fading with YGGDRASIL'S end and so goes their daughter as her illness is getting best out of frail health. Even in a game, she sounded weak as her words were rasped through the microphone, "Daddy... Mommy..."

"We're here sweetie," D3ath 3 Br1ng3r assured as he sat on the nearest chair to hold her hand while his wife hopped onto the bed and lay down beside her, "We're here..."

Though her game avatar may appear fine, her condition worsened based on her doctor's prognosis. Her life expectancy was six months, but she defied the odds by living through one and one-quarter of a year and today was her last week to live. The two were deeply saddened at the thought of losing their child at the age of fifteen.

Especially when she's two weeks closer to her sixteenth birthday...

Still, they held it in for the sake of their daughter and remained by her side as the world they know slowly draws its end. With D3ath 3 Br1ng3r's hand on his daughter's, he thought of a short way to ease his daughter's misery with an idea, "How about a quick story before bedtime? I know you're a little old, but it fits the occasion we are in, what do you say?"

His wife would normally be the one to respond, but she remained silent as she let her daughter answer on her own.

"Okay..." Hope weakly replied, enough to get her father to pull a small book from his inventory,

He then laid down on the opposite side of the bed and opened the book containing a variety of Nursery Rhymes. Singing them was optional, and he was a fine singer both in-game and in the real world, but he decided to read them in his most comfortable state with his daughter.

"There was once a small spider, who ought to climb a waterspout. As it climbed, the rain came and washed the spider out. But when the sun came and dried the rain, the spider rose and climbed the spout," D3ath 3 Br1ng3r narrated, "When it reached the top, it rejoiced and found a place it called home. It's web was formed, it's food hauled, and everything seemed fine as the day passed by,"

Queen Arachnida knew that this part of the Nursery Rhyme was added by her husband, but paid no attention if it eased their daughter. However, this version seemed familiar at the very least...

"Then another spider came and had trouble just like the first spider did at the water. The rain washed the second spider out. When the sun came and dried up the rain, the second spider wanted to climb, but the first threw its thread down and offered it to the second," D3ath 3 Br1ng3r dramatically narrated the tale, "The second spider was hesitant, but she grabbed the thread and climbed up the waterspout. At the top of the waterspout, she met the first spider and soon fell for him as they approached one another and shared the web he built. Days passed and the two endured season after season of the same web, be it the hottest day or the coldest night... For their love,"

D3ath 3 Br1ng3r then glanced at his wife, and she knew what this part of the story meant to her as he finished, "Is stronger than any storm..."

"That's not... The story..." Hope remarked,

"It isn't..." D3ath 3 Br1ng3r openly admitted as he glanced down at his daughter, "But it is a story..."

"Cheater..." Hope jokingly retorted, and her parents chuckled at such a word,

When the book closes, D3ath 3 Br1nger stores it in his inventory and both he and his wife touch heads as they lean against their daughter. Though the expressions of their avatars remain the same, they felt a tad bit miserable in real life and Hope would break the silence in the room, "I miss everyone..."

"We know, sweetie... We know," D3ath 3 Br1ng3r admitted and placed his hand onto Hope's. So did his wife as she shared his sentiment of their friends' absences...

With only a few seconds left, they mentally shared a thought without their notice...

'If only...' D3ath 3 Br1ng3r remarked,

'If only...' Queen Arachnida remarked,

'If... only...' Hope remarked,

At the four-second mark, they unknowingly finished the thought simultaneously with closed eyes on the other side of their devices, 'It never ends...'

D3ath 3 Br1ng3r opened his eyes after he somehow dozed off and wearily rubbed his eyes a few times. When his vision was clear, he soon saw his demonic hand and squinted his eyes at the pale palm of his hand, "What the..."

He moved his hand and fingers while checking the palm and back of his hand. After he registered the pressure of his fingers against certain sections of his hand, he felt weary of this sudden change and got off the bed.

What he wanted to find was a mirror, and the one nearest to him was the largest in the room. Once he saw his reflection, he saw his game avatar rather than his real body...

"Wha..." D3ath 3 Br1ng3r mouthed, and pressed his hand onto the mirror,

He certainly felt the mirror against his palm and expressed further confusion as he looked down at it and swayed his head a few times.

"H-How is this..." D3ath 3 Br1ng3r muttered, and placed his hand on his head,

That's when he felt the horn on his head and immediately jerked it back before returning to the mirror and tugging on his horn a few times. It's truly connected to his skull rather than some cosmetic design and he couldn't believe how this all felt real...

D3ath 3 Br1ng3r remains composed as ever, then attempted to access the game's interface but his finger just passed through the air instead of accessing the game's interface.

"What the hell is going on..." D3ath 3 Br1ng3r questioned as the interface is missing,

His calm composure was cracking, but he took a few deep breaths as he paces around the room before assessing the situation. First, he's still in his game avatar of YGGDRASIL, Second, he can feel its features even though they were only part as the character's design, and Third, the game's interface has vanished from his sight and deemed inaccessible.

Everything would've just ended with them going back to the real world after the game closed. Now, they are still here in their daughter's bedroom and in possession of their game avatar.

Speaking of which, he turned to his wife and daughter and resisted the urge to bother them from their sleep. Though he would check on the latter by wrapping his hand onto her wrist. Even he pressed his two fingers to where the pulse is located and felt a beat of her heart.

A part of him felt relieved that his daughter is alive and asleep, but a knock on his door caught his attention and went to answer it. As he opened, he was met with the Head Butler of the Manor, a young and diginified Abyssal Demon in human form, Sin Klaris.

The butler diligently greeted his lord with a hand on his chest and an elegant bow, "Greetings, My Lord. I hope you and my lady had a night's worth of rest..."

"Klaris..." D3ath 3 Br1ng3r muttered, then he gently cleared his throat and properly greeted him, "Of course, though the bed was meant for one, we slept quite peacefully together..."

"Jin?" Queen Arachnida called, and the two turned to her as she awaken,

D3ath 3 Br1ng3r marches towards her, and bend to her level, "Amari... How are you feeling?"

Queen Arachnida has yet to say, instead she sets her eyes on her husband and registers his avatar rather than his human body, "Why are you still logged in? I thought the game had closed after midnight,"

"It may have, but we aren't in the game anymore," D3ath 3 Br1ng3r revealed,

"What?" Queen Arachnida mouthed,

D3ath 3 Br1ng3r proves this by holding her hand with his demonic hand and felt softness of his palm and the scales on the back of his hand. If that weren't enough proof, Sin Klaris allowed himself in the room and greet her just as he greet her husband, "My lady. This humble servant greets you at this fine morning,"

Queen Arachnida was stunned by his words, then he turns to her husband with the following statement, "That isn't one of his primary voice lines..."

"As I've told you, we aren't in the game anymore," D3ath 3 Br1ng3r clarified, "Somehow... We've taken possession of our avatars..."

As Queen Arachnida processed this information, she realized something with widen eyes and turned to the other person in the room. Hope still lies on her bed asleep and Queen Arachnida felt relieved as she gently ran her hand across her hair and leaned her head onto her.

"She's here too..." Queen Arachnida muttered, and her husband smiled,

Then, the latter straightened himself and turns to the butler, "How are the other servants of this manor? As well as those of the other floors and areas?"

"The range of my knowledge is limited to this area, but everyone is under your command my lords..." Sin Klaris reported, "Though I expect the others outside are loyal too..."

D3ath 3 Br1ng3r briefly wondered about the other NPCs of the guild, and hopefully they are on the same page as Sin Klaris. If not, it would undoubtedly be a catastrophe if he ignores it any longer...

"Sin Klaris, send your messengers to the Floor Guardians of the base and have them gather at the fourth floor's theater for an emergency meeting," D3ath 3 Br1ng3r ordered, "After you've complete your first task, I want you outside the Guild Base and scout our surroundings. If anything hostile were to assault this place, inform us directly and avoid all means of confrontation,"

"As you command, D3ath 3 Br1ng3r-sama," Sin Klaris responded,

'He called me by my player name? That's a first, but I highly doubt it's necessary at this point,' D3ath 3 Br1ng3r stated, "Thank you, Sin Klaris. As for my name, I'd prefer you use my real name than that one,"

"If you wish. But may be so prudent to ask you of your name, My lord?"Sin Klaris inquired,

"Oujin, Oujin Tominaga," D3ath 3 Br1ng3r stated, "If you like, you can shorten it to 'Jin' if you want,"

"Of course, Jin-sama," Sin Klaris replied then he left the room to do his assigned task,

All the while, D3ath 3 Br1ng3r turns to his wife as she stood up while eyeing on their daughter. Though she would turn him after got her bearings in order.

"What now?" Queen Arachnida inquired,

"We'll go to Leviathan's Theater and assess the NPC's Loyalty," D3ath 3 Br1ng3r declared, "After that, we'll look into Klaris' scout report and see what's out there. Whether the world out there is of YGGDRASIL or not, we need to be prepared of what we're about to face,"

Queen Arachnida agreed, but before they left the room they each gave their daughter a kiss on the forehead and gently tucked her in. Then they left the manor together and meet the Floor Guardians of their guild...

That is it for this chapter, and I know that some you would prefer to have me extend this chapter to the point where the two meet the Floor Guardians of Primordial Force just like Overlord.

But I've decided to put a hold on that since there are a lot of things that I need to work on and my word count will be somewhere between 4000 to 6000 words. However, it is possible for me to go pass that word count due to the description of characters, varying perspectives, and author notes.

Next, as you may have noticed, one of the Seven Demon Princes of Hell, Leviathan, was mentioned. And if you want confirmation, The Seven Demon Princes and their counterparts are the Floor Guardians. But don't expect them to be angels and demons, because I have something else in mind.

Lastly, I haven't decided on whether or not the world of this story is the New World from the original Overlord or the New World of which I'm going to make myself. In any case that it's the latter, then few of the Overlord Canon Characters may appear or mentioned in the story.

That's all I have to say, and I see you guys in the next chapter!
