Captain Blues: Hey gang! It's a been a long, long, time since I've come back to this. I'm sorry for that. Life has been hectic and I kinda wanted to see how MHA ended before I continued this so I can have the full image. Now that I do and that things have calmed down in my life, I can continue with the show! Now let's get this going!

Son of a (Spirit) Gun!
Can I be Alive too?

[Ashido Residence - Musutafu, Japan (Nighttime)
POV: Ashido Mina]

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Mina screamed as she floated behind her body with a stunned expression on her face.

What the hell was going on?!

Why was she like this?!

Why is her body blinking without her?!

"Is this a freakin' dream or something?!" Mina screamed as she watched her body, which now had green irises, nod at her mother, who ruffled her hair and strolled out the door.

"This is not a dream, that it isn't," another voice said from behind her.

Mina turned around to see another girl floating behind her with a kind smile. "Hello, Ashido Mina," the girl greeted while her body closed the door and turned around to face Mrs. Midoriya. "Do forgive Izuku, he must borrow your body for a moment, that he must."

Mina blinked.

"Hol' up a sec, you said Izuku? You mean Midoriya Izuku?" Mina questioned.

The girl nodded.

"But he's dead! Mom and I just came back from his wake! How is he puppetting my body?!" Mina shouted. Once again, she blinked. "And who the heck are you?!"

"My name is Hinageshi, that it is," Hinageshi introduced. "And I am the Grim Reaper."

[Ashido Residence - Musutafu, Japan (Nighttime)
POV: Midoriya Izuku]

"WHAT?!"

Izuku winced at Mina's scream.

Despite being unable to see Mina or Hinageshi, he could faintly hear their conversation. He turned to where Mina's voice was and said, "P-Please forgive me for taking your body, Mina-san. I-I promise when I come back to life, I'll make it up to you."

Izuku then tilted his head.

It was strange hearing Mina's voice come out with his words. Truthfully, it was strange being in a body that wasn't his. He couldn't describe the feeling but it felt…wrong.

He truly hoped he would never have to possess anyone else ever again.

"You better make it up to me, Midoriya!" Mina angrily agreed. "I don't take grand theft body lightly, y'know!"

"I-I won't be long," Izuku promised before he took a deep breath and proceeded to approach his mother, who still sat on the couch, staring out into the distance. The closer he got to his mother, the stronger his guilt became.

He had done the right thing and he didn't regret it. He thought Tōru was going to die and if faced with the same decision, which of course he would as he wanted to become a hero, he would do it a thousand times more.

But seeing how devastated his mother looked…It truly took the sails out of his dream. His mother had lost so much. From Dad running out on them to live out his own dreams in the United States, to her having to give up her dream of being a doctor and just settling for being a simple nurse to support the two of them, and now this.

He felt like such a burden to her.

Now more than ever.

He sat beside her and placed his hands in his lap. He opened his mouth to speak, only to hesitate and close his mouth. It had always been so easy to talk to his mother but now, at the most crucial time, he faltered.

Where was his bravery?!

All-Might would be so ashamed of him.

Izuku took a deep breath and steeled himself.

He had to get through this as best as he could.

"Okay…" Izuku murmured. He turned to his mother and started to reach out to her, only to hesitate again. "Um…Uh…." Izuku let out a breath as he pulled back his hand. "Why is this so hard?"

His mother didn't even react.

It was like she wasn't in there.

"What is going on?" Mina suddenly asked from his right, causing him to jump. "Just talk to her, will ya?"

"I'm trying," he whispered back. "I-I don't know what to say…"

"How do you not know what to say? That's your Mom, Midoriya," Mina argued.

"I know…But I'm talking to her through you," Izuku defended. "How do I even begin to e-explain what has happened?"

"Hmm that is a conundrum," Mina admitted. "Well! When you can't think of a soft way of doing it, just bust through with the force of a great typhoon!"

"A great typhoon…" Izuku repeated. "A great typhoon…Okay…I c-can do that!"

"There you go! Now get in there and talk to your mom!" Mina cheered.

Izuku clapped his(her?) hands to his (her) cheeks as a look of determination appeared. Without any hesitation, he moved off the couch and in front of his mother, grabbed her cheeks and said, "Mom!"

He could see the light in her eyes slowly appear. "Izu…" she started to say before her eyes focused on him. "Y-You're not…"

"No! I am!" Izuku exclaimed.

He had to quickly cut through the thick obscuring mist that was starting to form between him and his mom. "Remember?! After the doctor told you I didn't have a quirk, remember what happened that night? I was watching an All-Might clip and I was holding my limited addition All-Might action figure with ice-breath action and a state-of-the-art cloaking system."

"Wow…" Mina commented.

"Do you remember?" Izuku asked with tears in his eyes. "Do you remember what I asked you that night? Y-You See that, Mom?" Izuku tearfully recited. "There's always a smile on his face…No matter how bad things g-get. Even when things seemed i-impossible, he never gave up…"

His mother's eyes widened as tears began to form.

"Do you think I—" Izuku started.

"—C-Can be a hero too?" his mother finished before she lunged forward to embrace him, sobbing her eyes out, much like she did back then. "Izuku!"

Izuku closed his eyes, allowing tears to fall as he returned her hug with an equal amount of force. "I'm here, Mom…" he whispered into her ear before nestling his face against her neck. "I'm here…"

"Izuku," Hinageshi's voice called. "You don't have a lot of time, that you don't."

Izuku's eyes widened.

That's right! He was on a time limit!

He gingerly pulled away from his mother's arms and said, "Mom, listen. I don't have a lot of time. My friend, Mina, she's letting me use her body."

"B-But how?" his mother hiccuped. "How c-can this be?"

"It's a long story. One, I'm really hopeful that I can tell you once I come back. But that's why I'm here. I'm here to tell you that I will be back," Izuku told her. "But until then, I need you to watch over my body. It's very faint, but my heart, it's still beating."

"What?" his mother gasped.

"All you have to do is listen to it and you'll hear it," Izuku affirmed. "I don't know all the specifics but I'm going to come back. Just make sure nothing happens to it, okay?"

"O-Okay but Izuku, I don't understand," his mother told him.

"I know it doesn't make sense, but trust me, okay?" Izuku asked. Suddenly, a wave of dizziness overtook him.

"One more minute," Hinageshi warned.

"I only have one minute left," Izuku hastily said. "Keep an eye on my body. A-Also! There is someone at home. The girl that I saved, Tōru-san! I already told her too just in case. She's taking what happened just as hard as you. Keep an eye on her too, okay?"

"I'll d-do it. I'll do anything you need me to, Izuku but please don't go," his mother begged.

"I'll be back," Izuku whispered as he felt a tug at the back of his neck. "I pro—"

He was pulled back out of Mina's body, causing it to slump against his panicked mother. "Izuku?!" his mother screamed with worry. "Izuku?!"

Izuku floated beside Hinageshi, with Mina nowhere to be seen.

She must have returned to her body.

"Mina is back in her body," Hinageshi said as if reading his mind. "The process is brutal on a living being, that it is. She will be asleep for a while. But your message has been passed on…"

Izuku's heart clenched as his mother cried while holding onto Mina's body. "There's nothing more we can do for now," Hinageshi told him. "Come, we must start on your missions."

"My missions?" Izuku asked.

Hinageshi nodded and for the first time since they came to Mina's home, she smiled. "Of course, how can we start hatching your egg to get your back to your body without a proper mission?" Hinageshi grabbed his wrist and with one last look at his mother, Izuku was whisked off.

He just hoped that his mother would take his message to heart...

[Midoriya Residence - Musutafu, Japan (Nighttime)
POV: Midoriya Inko]

An exhausted Inko found herself standing in front of her apartment door.

She knew that it was wrong to leave her friend's daughter at home alone after what happened but Inko had to make sure what her son had said was true or if it was a hallucination brought on by her grief.

Whether the hallucination was true or not, Inko resolved to return straight to Suīto's home to watch over her daughter until the girl awakened. But as Inko stood there, she heard it.

The sound of crying.

Inko opened the door and looked inside to see her son's body out of the casket and on the ground being held up by an invisible force.

Not force…

A person.

But as she stood there, she could make out the words in between the sound of crying.

"You're alive," the voice cried. "You're really alive."
