The road back was much more calmer. With a much more relieved but that much exhausted Coop. He slept during the road trip for a while, but after coming back to Bootsville, Mr. Burt woke him up for a surprise. They didn't come directly to their home, his dad instead drove to an ice cream shop.

"Wake up sport! Wouldn't you want something refreshing and delicious after being tired that much? Here it is!" Burt pointed out the ice cream shop to his son.

"Oh wow! We're getting ice cream? Yumms! It sounds pretty nice actually. Hey dad can i get the mint chocolate one? I've been dying to eat it!" Coop's eyes were glazing with the thought of those delicious flavors.

"Hahaha sure buddy. Let's go get you some. You can eat as much as you want! It's on me!" He ruffled his son's hair with affection. They got out of the car and headed to the ice cream shop.

After that delicious ice cream session, they went to the mall and spent some time together. Coop's mood was getting much better, he felt so light and relaxed, he didn't have any dark clouds in his heart anymore.

On the other hand, he had no idea what was about to come when he arrived his home.

After spending some time together, they head back to Phoebe's house to pick Millie. Phoebe and Millie were standing in front of the house when they arrived.

"Hi daddy! Welcome back!" said Millie with a high enthusiasm.

"Hello Mr. Burtonburger! And Hello Coop…" said Phoebe while looking at him with a suggestive gaze. "I really wish you would be here at my party… but Millie said you were going on an important trip so i understand… but maybe next time…" as she was continuing, Coop interrupted her.

"Y-yeah yeah super important stuff, a-anyways Millie get in now would you…" said Coop, he was getting pretty nervous.

"Okii…" said Millie and hopped in the car. They continued the road and arrived their home.

They arrived the house. Coop was talking to Millie about how it went, and after he was done Millie was pretty glad to hear.

"Wow that's pretty cool Coop! And you didn't even faint! Maybe there is hope for a dork like you after all…" He jabbed at his older brother playfully.

"Yeah yeah don't get cocky with me will you? But I gotta say, I feel pretty relieved after all. Guess i really needed that. I don't feel any remorse or fear. And… thanks Millie. You know, for being supportive." Said Coop with a gratitude.

"Y-yeah come on don't get emotional with me ahaha… but of course. You are my dork brother, of course i'll be there" said Millie, he was not used to saying nice things to her brother so it was difficult for her, but of course deep down, she always cared for him nonetheless.

"you just can't be nice to me can you ahaha… but still thanks, Millie." He patted her head as a form of affection.

"H-hey quit it. Anyways have you even washed your hands first? Eww and you touched me… g oto the bathroom already!" said Millie with a fake annoyed tone, then went to the living room.

Coop went to the bathroom and washed his hands and his face. He was almost peaceful but then he realized that the house was quiet… too quiet. Where was the feline freak? Usually he would be napping on the sofa or waiting in the kitchen for some food. He was gone, and while Coop was glad to not see him he knew that something was off. He was thinking, plotting something… that was certain. Still there wasn't anything he could do, he had to wait and be ready, or at least he had to try.

"Coop! Millie! Dinner time!" yelled Mr. Burt to his kids.

"Oh, uh. Coming dad!" He snapped back to reality, he shouldn't have got lost in his thoughts, worrying over something inevitable was meaningless. He went downstairs and directly to the kitchen. His dad has prepared some lasagna for them so at least it was going to be a good dinner. They talked about their days during dinner, the evening went peacefully, until…

After dinner, he was prepared to go to his room and relax after. His dad forgot to do the shopping and told him that he had to go to the supermarket. Millie was bored so she also wanted to join his dad. After saying each other goodbye, they went for shopping and with that, Coop was alone at home.

As he was going upstairs, at his final step something made a creek sound, and after that he saw the movements of two seperate ropes with an incredible speed. Before he could even react to it, a giant bucket of hot sticky liquid poured above him and covered him all. As he was trying to run, another pouch opened up from the sky and poured dozens of papers. Because of the sticky liquid, the papers sticked all over to him making him incredibly uncomfortable. As he was trying to process what was going on, something purple with an incredible speed came from his right and stroke a claw to his right, making him crash to the ground.

As he was trying to recollect himself and get up from the ground, he saw blood on the ground. He touched his right cheek and looked at his hand, it was all covered in blood, his scar was sizzling in pain. As he looked up from the ground he saw Kat standing, laughing maniacally at him. He was crying from laughter, his left paw was stained red but it looked like he didn't notice it for now. He was euphoric, knowing that he managed to take his revenge from his archnemesis.

Coop was getting prepared to attack back but then he noticed something. The papers that sticked to him, they were in the shape of a photograph. He curiosly took one of the photos from him forcefully and looked at it. As he saw the photo, he froze. Lot's of emotions came up to him, he was getting lightheaded. His breathing pattern started to change. His hands were shaking now. His eyes got blurry from a variety of emotions: Shock, anger, sadness, fury…

The photograph was of his mother, the one Millie showed to him earlier. But it was altered: The eyes were crawled, a smile was craved on top of her mouth. Seeing her mother's photo was hard enough for him, but seeing it altered like that was… it was just… so much.

Something was about to go down.
