In Metropolis, Lionel Luthor sat in his opulent office, the city's skyline a testament to his power and influence. The room was silent, save for the rustle of papers as Lionel read the latest report from Dr. Steven Hamilton. The scientist's findings regarding the signal originating from Reeves Dam had piqued Lionel's curiosity. Despite the team finding nothing substantial at the site, the mysterious signal suggested there was more to Smallville than met the eye.
Lionel leaned back in his leather chair, his steely gaze fixed on the report. He had always intended to send his son, Lex, to Smallville in the future, under the guise of downsizing the plant there. It was supposed to be a test of Lex's mettle, a chance to see if he had inherited the Luthor ruthlessness or if he was, in Lionel's eyes, weak. Originally, this test was planned for five years down the line, a way to determine if Lex could handle the pressures of the Luthor legacy.
However, this unexpected development made Lionel reconsider his timeline. Lex had just turned eighteen, and perhaps the time had come to accelerate his plans. The strange signal from Reeves Dam suggested that there were secrets in Smallville that needed uncovering, and who better to do it than his son?
Lionel's mind raced with the possibilities. Sending Lex to Smallville now could either forge him into the heir Lionel desired or expose any weaknesses before it was too late. It was a risk, but one Lionel was willing to take. Lex needed to be tested, and Smallville, with its hidden mysteries, was the perfect crucible.
Reaching a decision, Lionel picked up the phone and dialed Lex's number. As the phone rang, he stared out at the sprawling metropolis, his mind already envisioning the future.
"Father?" Lex's voice came through the line, steady and composed.
"Lex," Lionel began, his tone measured. "I have a new assignment for you. I want you to go to Smallville and oversee the situation there. There's been an intriguing development, and I believe it's time you prove your worth."
There was a brief pause before Lex responded, a hint of surprise in his voice. "Smallville? I thought that was years away."
"I've decided to move up the timeline," Lionel replied. "Consider this your first true test. I trust you won't disappoint me."
Lex's voice firmed with determination. "I won't, Father. I'll head to Smallville immediately."
As Lionel hung up the phone, a small smile played on his lips. The game was afoot, and the pieces were moving into place. Whatever secrets Smallville held, Lionel was confident that Lex would uncover them. And in the process, he would either prove himself a true Luthor or fall short of the legacy.

As the Hogwarts Express chugged along the tracks, the compartment housing Harry, Hermione, Neville, Lana, Zatanna, and their friends was filled with excited chatter and laughter. Once Tonks had cast privacy charms on the door to prevent eavesdropping, Daphne Greengrass took a deep breath and turned to Harry.
"Harry," Daphne began, her voice steady but serious, "there's something we need to talk about."
Harry looked at her curiously, noting the solemn expressions on his friends' faces. "What is it, Daphne?"
Daphne glanced at the others before continuing. "Over the break, my parents told me about your big secret. About where you really come from."
Harry's heart skipped a beat, his mind racing. "What do you mean?"
Daphne met his gaze, her eyes filled with understanding. "They told me you're an alien from a planet named Krypton, and that you were blood adopted by the Potters when you were a baby."
Harry's eyes widened in shock, and he felt a knot tighten in his stomach. Before he could respond, Susan Bones stepped forward, her expression sympathetic.
"My aunt told me as well," Susan said gently. "She thought it was important for us to know the truth."
Hannah Abbott nodded in agreement. "My parents told me too, Harry."
Tracey Davis added, "Same here. We've all been instructed in Occlumency to keep your secret safe."
Harry glanced at Hermione, who gave him a reassuring smile. "Madam Bones took it upon herself to teach me Occlumency since I'm Muggle-born," she explained. "We all know how important it is to keep your secret, Harry."
Pamela and Harley, standing slightly apart, nodded their confirmation. "We were told too," Pamela said softly. "And we promise to keep your secret safe."
Harry took a deep breath, trying to process the sudden influx of information. "I... I didn't expect this," he admitted, looking around at his friends. "But I'm grateful that you all know and that you're willing to help keep this a secret."
Tonks stepped forward, her usual playful demeanor replaced by a rare seriousness. "You're not alone, Harry. We're all here for you."
Harry felt a wave of relief wash over him. Despite the unexpected revelation, he was surrounded by friends who supported and understood him. "Thank you," he said sincerely. "It means a lot to me that you all know and still stand by me."
Daphne gave him a small smile. "We're a team, Harry. And we always will be."
Hermione, ever curious, couldn't help but ask, "So, do you have any alien powers that we should know about?"
Before Harry could respond, Tonks grinned and jumped in. "Oh, you mean aside from his super strength, super speed, heat vision, X-ray vision, super hearing, invulnerability, and flight?"
Neville chuckled. "And don't forget his cold breath."
Lana added, "Plus, he can absorb and process sunlight, which powers him up."
Zatanna smiled. "Oh, and did we mention he can perform magic on top of all that?"
Harry rubbed the back of his neck, looking a bit sheepish. "Yeah, I guess I have a few abilities."
Hermione's eyes widened, and she looked at Harry in awe. "That's... incredible. And you can do all that?"
Harry nodded, feeling a bit self-conscious. "Yeah, but it's not as glamorous as it sounds. It comes with its own challenges."
Susan leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. "How do you manage to balance all of it? The powers, the magic, and being a student at Hogwarts?"
Harry shrugged. "It helps to have good friends and family. And a lot of practice."
Tracey looked at him thoughtfully. "Does anyone else know about this? Besides us and your family?"
Harry shook his head. "No, it's a closely guarded secret. The fewer people who know, the better."
Pamela and Harley exchanged a glance before Pamela spoke up. "We'll do our part to keep it that way."
Hermione nodded, her expression determined. "We'll protect your secret, Harry. Just like you'll protect us."
The rest of the group voiced their agreement, and Harry felt a deep sense of gratitude. Despite the extraordinary nature of his abilities, it was their friendship and trust that made him feel truly strong.
As the Hogwarts Express continued its journey, the group settled into a comfortable rhythm, their bond fortified by the shared knowledge and their unwavering support for one another. Harry knew that with friends like these, he could face any challenge that came his way.
—
As the train reached Hogsmeade Station, students bustled to gather their belongings and make their way off the Hogwarts Express. The familiar chill of the Scottish winter greeted them as they stepped onto the platform, their breath visible in the frosty air.
Harry, flanked by Neville, Lana, Zatanna, Hermione, Daphne, Susan, Hannah, Tracey, Pamela, Harley, and Tonks, made their way towards the carriages that would take them up to the castle. The group chatted animatedly, their spirits high as they shared their excitement for the new term.
Just as they were about to reach the carriages, Draco Malfoy, flanked by his usual cronies Crabbe and Goyle, stepped into their path. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Potter and his little gang of misfits," Draco drawled, a sneer plastered on his face.
Harry exchanged a glance with his friends and simply continued walking, not even bothering to acknowledge Draco. The rest of the group followed suit, treating Draco and his taunts as if they were completely invisible.
Draco's sneer faltered as his insults fell on deaf ears. "Hey! I'm talking to you, Potter!" he shouted, his voice rising in pitch.
Crabbe and Goyle exchanged confused looks, uncertain how to react to being ignored. As the group moved past them without a word, Draco's face turned a bright shade of red. "Don't you dare ignore me!" he yelled, stamping his foot in a fit of frustration.
Harry and his friends climbed into a carriage, still ignoring Draco's outburst. The doors closed, and the carriage began its journey up to the castle, leaving Draco fuming on the platform.
"Come on, Draco," Crabbe muttered, trying to placate him. "Let's just go."
"Yeah, let's go," Goyle echoed, looking around nervously.
Draco clenched his fists, glaring after the departing carriage. "This isn't over, Potter!" he shouted, though his words were carried away by the wind.
Inside the carriage, Harry and his friends shared a quiet laugh at Draco's expense. "You'd think he'd find a new hobby by now," Neville remarked, shaking his head.
"Some things never change," Hermione added with a smile.
Harry grinned. "Let him throw his tantrums. We've got more important things to focus on."
As the castle loomed closer, the group felt a renewed sense of purpose. They were back at Hogwarts, ready to face whatever the new term had in store for them. With their bond stronger than ever, they knew they could handle anything that came their way—whether it was Draco Malfoy's petty antics or the deeper mysteries of the magical world.
Meanwhile, back at the Potter Farm, Lily Potter received an unexpected call from Child Protective Services. As she listened to the voice on the other end of the line, her expression shifted from curiosity to concern.
"Mrs. Potter, we have recently come across a young girl named Selina Kyle. She was found living on the streets of Gotham. Upon investigating her background, we discovered that you are her closest living blood relative," the caseworker explained.
Lily's mind raced as she tried to process the information. "Selina Kyle?" she repeated, trying to place the name.
"Yes," the caseworker continued. "Her maternal grandmother Violet Kyle and your mother Iris Evans were sisters. We're reaching out to you because we believe Selina would benefit greatly from being placed in a stable and caring family environment, and given your connection, we thought you might be willing to take her in."
Lily felt a pang of sadness as she thought about the young girl, homeless and alone in Gotham. "Of course," she said, her voice firm with determination. "I'll do whatever I can to help Selina."
The caseworker sounded relieved. "Thank you, Mrs. Potter. We'll arrange for her transportation to your home as soon as possible. We believe she would thrive in a safe and loving environment."
After ending the call, Lily sat for a moment, her thoughts swirling. She knew this would be a big change, not just for Selina but for their whole family. But she was determined to provide the young girl with the love and support she needed.
Lily quickly contacted James to share the news. "James, I've just spoken with Child Protective Services. They found a young girl named Selina Kyle living on the streets in Gotham. She's my cousin's granddaughter, and they want to place her with us."
James listened intently, nodding. "If she's family and she needs our help, we'll do everything we can for her," he said, his voice resolute.

Meanwhile, next door at the Kent Farm, Kara Zor-El, now adjusting to life on Earth, found herself immersed in the simple yet fulfilling routines of farm life. Under the watchful and supportive eyes of Jonathan, Martha, and Sera-Vex, Kara slowly began to acclimate to her new environment, with Clarke providing guidance despite his own challenges.
Every morning, Kara rose early, a habit ingrained from her disciplined upbringing on Krypton. She eagerly joined the Kents in their daily farm chores, quickly learning the ropes. Whether it was feeding the animals, tending to the crops, or repairing fences, Kara found the work surprisingly satisfying. It was a stark contrast to her life on Krypton, where she had been surrounded by advanced technology and scientific pursuits.
Jonathan Kent, with his patient demeanor, took the time to teach Kara about the various aspects of farm management. "It's not just about the hard work," he explained one morning as they repaired a section of the barn. "It's about taking pride in what you do and caring for the land and animals."
Kara listened intently, appreciating the wisdom in his words. The simplicity and honest labor of farm life were new to her, but she found a sense of peace in it.
Martha Kent, ever the nurturing figure, helped Kara adapt to human customs and societal norms. She guided her through simple things, like using Earth technology, understanding local traditions, and even choosing Earth-appropriate clothing.
"Kara, dear, I know Kryptonian attire is very different, but here, people dress for comfort and practicality," Martha said with a warm smile, helping Kara pick out a casual outfit for their visit to town.
Kara appreciated Martha's guidance and kindness. Despite the differences between her Kryptonian heritage and her new life on Earth, Martha made the transition smoother and less daunting.
Clarke took a leading role in helping Kara understand and control her powers. They often trained together, testing the limits of their abilities in a controlled environment. Clarke shared his experiences growing up with superhuman abilities, offering advice and support, despite the fact that he hadn't been able to master flying yet—a mystery that puzzled both him and Kara.
"Harry says flying isn't just about strength," Clarke said during one of their sessions, though he hadn't yet experienced it himself. "It's about focus and trust. Trust in yourself and the air around you."
Kara nodded, absorbing his words. She practiced diligently, slowly gaining confidence in her abilities. Clarke's encouragement and the safe environment provided by the Kents allowed her to explore her powers without fear, even if some abilities, like flying, remained elusive to Clarke.
Sera-Vex, who had taken on a guardian role for both Kara and Harry, offered her unique perspective as a fellow Kryptonian. She shared stories of Krypton, helping Kara maintain a connection to her roots while embracing her new life on Earth.
"You are a bridge between two worlds, Kara," Sera-Vex said one evening as they watched the sunset. "It's important to honor both your Kryptonian heritage and your new life here on Earth."
Kara found comfort in Sera-Vex's words, feeling a sense of belonging in both worlds. The bond they shared as Kryptonians on a foreign planet was a source of strength and understanding for both of them.
As the days passed, Kara grew more comfortable with her new life at the Kent Farm. The support and love she received from Clarke, the Kents, and Sera-Vex helped her navigate the challenges of adapting to a new culture and environment. Despite the differences, Kara found joy in the simple pleasures of farm life and the warmth of her newfound family.
She knew that her journey was just beginning and that there would be many challenges ahead. With the guidance and support of those around her, Kara felt ready to face whatever the future held, embracing her new life on Earth with open arms. Clarke's struggle with flight remained a curious enigma, but it only reinforced their commitment to supporting each other through every challenge.

Meanwhile, Sirius Black, aware of the need for Kara and Sera-Vex to seamlessly blend into human society, especially within the wizarding world, contacted Noah Kuttler, a skilled and discreet fixer known for crafting new identities. Kuttler set to work creating the identities of "Sara Evans" and her adoptive daughter "Kara Evans," providing them with a credible backstory.
The new identities established that Sara Evans was Lily Potter's cousin, providing a direct and plausible link to the wizarding community. This connection also explained their presence near Harry Potter and his extended family. Kara Evans, Sara's adoptive daughter, was portrayed as a young girl with a mysterious background, fitting seamlessly into their narrative.
To ensure the credibility of these identities, Sirius then forged a detailed paper trail with the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA). This trail stated that Sara Evans was a Nomaj-born witch (the American term for Muggle-born) who had studied at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the premier magical institution in North America.
To further solidify Sara's identity, Sirius arranged for the creation of official records within MACUSA. These records indicated that Sara had completed her education at Ilvermorny and had recently moved to Smallville for personal reasons. This move aligned with the story that she was reconnecting with her relatives, the Potters.
However, as part of the requirements for integrating into the American wizarding community, Sara would need to take the assessment level tests, MACUSA's equivalent of the British OWLs (Ordinary Wizarding Levels) and NEWTs (Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests), which were WAND (Wizarding Aptitude for Noteworthy Development) and CHARMS (Comprehensive Hex Aptitude, Reaction, and Mastery Skills)
These tests would assess Sara's magical proficiency and knowledge, ensuring she met the standards expected of witches and wizards. The tests were scheduled to take place in the coming month, giving Sara (Sera-Vex) time to prepare.
Sirius, being well-connected, arranged for Sara to have access to study materials and resources that would help her prepare for the tests. He emphasized the importance of passing these assessments to maintain her cover and seamlessly integrate into the British wizarding community.
Meanwhile, Kara was briefed on her new role and the importance of maintaining her identity as Kara Evans. She was to be introduced as the Nomaj adopted daughter of Sara Evans, who was established as a Nomaj-born witch. This cover story was essential for blending into the magical community and protecting their true identities as Kryptonians.
With the help of Sirius and Noah Kuttler, a thorough paper trail was created. This included records showing Sara's studies at Ilvermorny and her late husband's Nomaj background. Although Kara didn't need to take any magical assessments, she was presented as a young girl from a Nomaj background, adopted by Sara and still discovering her potential in the magical world.
Sirius ensured that all details were meticulously covered, creating a plausible history for Sara and Kara Evans. This preparation was crucial for them to integrate into the magical world without arousing suspicion.
As Sara prepared for her upcoming WANDS (Wizardry Assessment of Novice Developmental Skills) exams, Sirius kept a close eye on the situation, ready to step in if needed. The new identities allowed Kara and Sera-Vex to start fresh and live relatively normal lives on Earth while hiding their extraterrestrial origins. This arrangement provided them with the security and stability they needed as they adapted to their new surroundings.

Meanwhile, Lily and James Potter, accompanied by their five-year-old daughter Rose, made their way to Gotham City to address the matter of Selina Kyle. They had arranged to meet with the Child Protective Services officer handling Selina's case before meeting the girl herself.
Upon arriving at the CPS office, they were greeted by Officer Marcia Greene, a compassionate and experienced social worker. Officer Greene reviewed Selina's file with them.
"Selina has had a difficult few years," Officer Greene explained. "Her mother passed away when she was very young, and there's no record of her father. She's been in and out of several group homes, but unfortunately, she's had trouble adjusting and has run away from most of them."
Lily listened intently, her heart aching for the young girl. "I understand she's quite resourceful, but also has a knack for trouble?"
"Yes," Officer Greene replied. "Selina is incredibly street-smart. She's survived by pick-pocketing and has shown a remarkable ability to fend for herself. However, this has also led to issues with bullying and mistrust from others. There have even been reports of strange incidents around her."
Lily and James exchanged a meaningful glance. The mention of strange incidents immediately raised their suspicions that there might be accidental magic involved. They chose to keep their thoughts to themselves for the moment, understanding the importance of first gaining Selina's trust and assessing the situation carefully.
James cleared his throat. "Thank you for the information, Officer Greene. We'd like to meet Selina and see how we might be able to help her."
"Of course," Officer Greene said, nodding. "I'll arrange for you to meet her now."
As they waited for Selina to arrive, Lily and James considered their approach. They knew that if there were indeed magical anomalies linked to Selina, they would need to handle the situation with sensitivity and discretion. Their priority was to offer her a safe and loving environment, but they were also prepared to provide the magical support she might need if their suspicions proved correct.
Selina was brought to the room where Lily, James, and Rose waited. The ten-year-old girl entered, her demeanor wary but curious. Her clothes were worn and slightly too big, and her eyes held a mix of defiance and vulnerability.
Lily extended a warm, reassuring smile. "Hello, Selina. I'm Lily Potter, and this is my husband James and our daughter Rose."
Selina eyed them with a guarded expression. "What do you want?"
James stepped forward, his tone gentle. "We're here because we've learned about your situation, and we'd like to offer you a new home with us. We're family, and we want to help."
Selina's eyes widened slightly at the offer. She was used to being on her own and the idea of a family was both foreign and intriguing.
Lily continued, "We know you've had a tough time, but we believe you deserve a chance to be safe and cared for. We can offer you a place with us, where you can start fresh."
Selina hesitated, glancing at Rose, who was clutching a stuffed toy and looking at her with innocent curiosity.
Seeing the tentative hope in Selina's eyes, Lily added, "We're here to give you a new start, and we're prepared to help you with whatever you need."
Selina's mistrust was palpable, but there was a glimmer of hope. She agreed to visit the Potter home to see if it felt right. Lily and James made it clear that there was no rush and that they wanted Selina to feel comfortable and welcomed.
As they left the group home, Lily turned to James. "I hope this will be the fresh start Selina needs. It's clear she's had a rough time, and if there is any accidental magic involved, we'll need to address that carefully."
James nodded. "We'll do everything we can to help her adjust and feel secure."
With their hearts set on giving Selina a chance for a better future, Lily, James, and Rose prepared to welcome the young girl into their family, ready to provide the support and stability she so desperately needed.

At Hogwarts, life settled into a familiar rhythm for Harry and his friends. The term was marked by a mix of academic challenges, social activities, and the occasional bit of mischief.
In the classroom, Harry and his friends kept busy with their studies. Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts were demanding as ever, but the group managed to stay on top of their coursework. Hermione was her usual diligent self, often helping others understand difficult concepts.
"Accio, books!" Hermione called out one afternoon in the library, her spell neatly gathering all her scattered textbooks. "Honestly, how do you guys manage to stay organized?"
"With great difficulty," Harry admitted, grinning. "But we get by."
Outside the classroom, the group indulged in their favorite pastime—playing pranks. The Marauder's Map, now partly in Harry's possession, proved invaluable for avoiding detection during their escapades. They pulled off harmless but entertaining pranks, like swapping the contents of the Gryffindor and Slytherin common rooms, much to the annoyance of Draco Malfoy.
One evening, as they prepared for their next prank, Harry and his friends gathered in their common room. "Tonight's target," Harry announced with a mischievous glint in his eye, "is Filch's office."
Lana snickered. "What do we have in mind?"
"Let's just say it involves enchanted sweets and a lot of confusion," Harry replied, causing everyone to laugh and eagerly make preparations.
Quidditch continued to be a major highlight of their term. Harry, as the Seeker for Gryffindor, found himself in thrilling matches against other houses. Each game was a spectacle of speed, strategy, and skill, drawing enthusiastic crowds of students cheering from the stands.
During one particularly intense match against Slytherin, Harry's quick reflexes and sharp eyes led to a dramatic catch of the Golden Snitch, securing victory for Gryffindor. The celebrations were loud and joyous, with the Gryffindor common room filled with cheers and revelry.
Amid the excitement, the group made time to bond and enjoy each other's company. They spent evenings in the common room chatting, playing games, or discussing their latest adventures. The strong friendships they shared provided a solid support system, making their Hogwarts experience all the more enjoyable.
As the days passed, Harry and his friends continued to embrace the highs and lows of school life. They managed to balance their responsibilities with their love for fun, and through it all, their camaraderie only grew stronger.

Selina, accompanied by Officer Greene, arrived at the Potter Farm with a blend of apprehension and curiosity. The farm, a picture of pastoral tranquility, seemed like a world apart from the gritty streets she was accustomed to. The expansive fields and cozy farmhouse provided a stark contrast to the urban landscape she had known.
As they entered the house, Selina's eyes were immediately drawn to the various photographs adorning the walls. One photo, in particular, captured her attention—a smiling boy around her age, standing with his arms around his parents.
"Who's that?" Selina asked, pointing to the picture with a touch of curiosity.
Lily, who was showing them around, followed Selina's gaze and smiled warmly. "That's our son, Harry. He's at a boarding school in Scotland right now."
Selina's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Boarding school?"
Lily nodded, her smile unwavering. "Yes, it's a tradition in our family. The Potters have attended this school for generations. It's where James and I met."
Selina absorbed this information, her curiosity evident but her expression still cautious.
When Officer Greene stepped outside to take a call, Lily seized the opportunity to speak privately with Selina. She led the young girl to a comfortable sitting area, away from the bustling activity of the farm.
"I know you've had some strange things happen to you," Lily began gently. "Sometimes, unusual things can occur that are difficult to understand."
Selina's gaze shifted nervously, her body language revealing her unease. "Strange things?"
Lily, recognizing the girl's anxiety, decided to offer a more tangible example. She discreetly retrieved her wand from her pocket and with a practiced flick, conjured a bouquet of vibrant flowers. The blossoms appeared out of thin air, their bright colors and sweet fragrance filling the room.
Selina's eyes widened in wonder, her initial fear momentarily replaced by fascination. She reached out tentatively towards the flowers, a mix of awe and disbelief on her face.
"I understand this might be overwhelming," Lily said softly, her voice reassuring. "But what you're experiencing is part of who you are. You're like me. Like us. You have magic in you."
Selina's eyes grew even wider. "Magic? Really?"
Lily nodded, her smile warm and understanding. "Yes, it's true. I'm a witch, and so are you. Your abilities are a natural part of you. It's not something to be afraid of."
Selina's expression softened, her initial trepidation giving way to a mixture of relief and curiosity. "So, what happens now? What do I do?"
Lily placed a comforting hand on Selina's shoulder. "Now, we start to understand your abilities and help you find your place. You don't have to go through this alone. We'll support you and help you learn about your magic."
Selina looked at Lily with a newfound sense of hope. The kindness and empathy she received were a stark contrast to the hardship and rejection she had faced. The prospect of being part of a world where she belonged was both thrilling and daunting.
As Lily continued to speak with Selina, she promised to guide her through this new chapter in her life. She assured Selina that she would not be alone in navigating her magical heritage. With Lily's support, Selina began to see a future where she could embrace her abilities and find a place where she truly belonged.
The conversation marked the beginning of a new journey for Selina, one filled with hope and the promise of a better life. With Lily's understanding and the potential of a supportive community, Selina was poised to step into a world that had previously seemed out of reach.
—
A week after their meeting at the Potter Farm, Lily was in the middle of preparing dinner when the phone rang. It was Officer Greene, who had been diligently working to find a suitable arrangement for Selina Kyle.
"Hello, Mrs. Potter," Officer Greene began, her voice carrying a note of professionalism mixed with relief. "I'm calling with an update about Selina."
Lily set down her spoon, her attention fully on the call. "Yes, Officer Greene? How's Selina doing?"
Officer Greene's tone was optimistic. "I'm pleased to inform you that Selina has agreed to be placed under your custody. After our last conversation, she seems to have found some peace and confidence in the idea of living with you. She's expressed a willingness to embrace this new chapter in her life."
Lily's heart lifted at the news. "That's wonderful to hear. We're looking forward to having her with us and helping her adjust."
"There are a few formalities and paperwork to complete," Officer Greene continued, "but we'll handle that over the next few days. I'll be in touch with you to finalize the arrangements."
—
After the call, Lily shared the news with James, who was equally pleased. They discussed the preparations needed to make Selina's transition as smooth as possible. They wanted to ensure that Selina felt welcome and secure in her new home.
"We should make her room as comfortable as possible," James suggested. "Maybe add some personal touches to make her feel more at home."
Lily agreed, noting that they could use the spare room to create a space where Selina could feel safe and valued. They planned to stock the room with items that might make her feel more comfortable, such as a cozy bed, books, and some personal items that reflected her interests.
With the paperwork and final arrangements underway, Lily and James prepared for Selina's arrival with a sense of anticipation and hope. They were committed to providing her with the support and understanding she needed to thrive in her new environment.
Selina's decision to join them marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life, one filled with the promise of stability and belonging. For Lily and James, it was an opportunity to extend their family and help a young girl in need find her place in a world that was both familiar and magical.
As the days passed, Lily and James eagerly awaited Selina's arrival, confident that their home would soon be enriched by her presence and that they would help her navigate the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.
