Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Destiny. Enjoy the 2000-word story. I do not own Destiny; Bungie and others do.

The Warlock was all too distracted… He had come, almost died, and found the death of the Cabal on Phobos.

Then? He had come to find out the Hive had slaughtered them, despite this. He had pressed on with his mission.

Never did he expect the cabal to fight against the Hive with him. THEY hated the Hive more than humanity.

He did not issue orders to them or offer any other assistance besides culling the Hive and Taken.

He was all too much to distract it for now as he relaxed, too thrown off at the end of it all… Something about it all had been too interesting when said and done.

He sighed, aware of this all… It was odd that the Warlock was aware of something the Hive was not.

He sighed, distracted.

"Liam… Do you think we should retreat?" He heard from his ghost.

"No… We're here to find a Hive relic for the city and we are getting it." He stated, tired of being forced to retreat from battles.

Liam was still surprised that the enemy was allowing itself to help him. Odd? Sure, but he doubted the Skyburners were going to consider a guardian a bigger issue than the Taken.

Not that he disagreed, the Cabal were mortal soldiers, not the inhuman monsters who were attempting to steal the souls of those fighting them. He could not blame them when it came to fighting the bigger threat.

If they wanted a fight after that? Well, he found himself in the position of trying his best to understand the entire thing and fight them off as best he could… Something like this was more than usual.

Liam was silent, very silent when it was said and done… He had been too distracted at the end of it all when it was said and done now.

Liam sighed, grabbed his rifle, and slowly started to walk towards the window… He had been too distracted now… All of it was weird… Now and good, there was something else to deal with for now.

All of it? All of it was too much at the time… Something about it all had been too much for the young guardian, the idea of something that had been disturbed.

He had a lot more left now… A lot more left within him to the end of the day… Something about it all had been too much now.

Something about it all had cut him deeper than he had before now… They had plenty of work for the time being.

(With the Skyburners)

The next group of Skyburners were forced to retreat… Something like this wasn't comforting to them to the top and the end… Something about it all had surprised them.

At the time? They were asked to invade the dreadnought and though their commander had asked it? They were doing the best work at the end of it.

The battle had become harder and harder and now a guardian had thrown themselves into the thick of things when it was all said and done.

They had a lot more distractions when it was said and done at the end of the day as he relaxed his fingers.

Now the Skyburners were dealing with the fact that their commander was going to be saved from the monster who had damned them, who attacked their base. Right now? They could use the aid and wished to repay their help.

So? They did not at all understand it… Could not seem to grasp it the same way it was being understood for now at the end of it… Something about all had been impressive, chaotic at the end of the day, something about it all.

He shot at them, he shot down the Hive and Taken left and right, too curious as he paused to relax.

Something about it all had hurt them too much now and good reason at the time being at the end of the day.

He was all too distracted at the end of the day… Something about it all had been distracting them, it was all a lot for both sides now.

He was tired even as he continued shooting. It had been said and done now.

They had a fight left, a huge one left to deal with… Something about it told Alex that the Skyburners were fighting like hell for some reason.

Granted? Alex knew they were an enemy. Yet? He kept the fight focused entirely on the Hive, the undead monsters were far worse.

He had a lot of different ideas as to what was going on… And he had a lot more left to deal with, something else now.

He had something else now, something far beyond the chaos and… It was something else.

He had a lot more now and good for now and for good reason always now, too much had been going through the head of them… It hurt a LOT more than before and it would not stop until they had torn down the military in front of them.

Something at least, he could respect. They were united by the hatred of the Hive and a desire to hurt others.

He had a LOT more left now at the end of the day of the day which had been now.

He had been too much for now and always… Now? It had been something for now and it had to end something soon.

(Back at Phobos)

The remaining Skyburners had managed to hold off the remaining bits of Hive soldiers, but not easily. They pulled their dead to the side, showing something resembling respect for their friends.

It was at the very least, something resembling care. They were caring at the end of the day… And it had been something else.

He had been too much for now. He had been too much for now and it had been too much for now.

They had more now to have to relax for the time being. They had something else to deal with… And it was not pretty.

The Cabal empire was split down the middle, split up and down, and such… They were asked to fight a war that had no end and no amount of villains when it came down to it all.

They were warriors, and soldiers and could win so much by working as a group… Only then would they survive.

Perhaps whoever was saving their Primarch could be of some help to their group. They needed a commander but it was going to be a good thing to relax for now.

They were all too ready for the next war… When the order came for the Skyburners to retreat, knowing they could not fight the Hive so openly without weapons for the time being.

They could not understand it for now. They were all too distracted… They had work to get for now and for a good reason, evacuating the dreadnought was a smart move from a strategy role. The Taken king controlled the entire ship and ran it entirely like a prison cell.

They would continue to relax for now. Something within him told them both work would continue to work out for the best.

Right now? They focused on survival. When and if that was something on the menu? He had been too distracted by the guardian within him.

They were both soldiers. They would continue to fight, and strike back at the enemy in front of them.

He would not be able to hit back at the enemy, and the idea of a counterattack did not at all entice the Skyburners. They had thousands but their enemy had no end, no end of them.

Now? Now they simply wanted nothing wanted to distract himself, he would not be able to relax.

The Skyburners would fight but not for the empire any longer. They had been loyal to Ghaul long enough to notice that things had managed to distract them from the truth.

He did not care for them, not a single soldier in the empire. He did not at all understand what he had no such idea now.

It would not be able to end once again…. Not now, not when they were needed.

The Skyburners slowly deployed, like violent candles into the sky…. Like fireworks streaming from a launcher.

Though, in their minds? Everything was fireworks, everything would end up a certain way now.

Something about it all had been too much for now, too much within them was telling them to run and save themselves.

Right now? They had no real work left to do… Just a slow and jarring need to do better, a jarring thing they could not at all accept.

It was worth more now than before… Worth a LOT in their minds… And it hurt a lot worse than they should know.

What they were dealing with was something new, something chaotic… It hurt a LOT more than they were used to… Something like this was too much, far too much now to deal with.

"They fight well." One heard as another nodded. "They also saved the Primus… That should help things." Another of the legionaries put in.

They were impressed by the humans who fought the hive, curious how such beings were able to fight like hell.

Hell seemed to be coming to them at the moment. That or they were unlucky which both seemed possible at the time being… All of it told the Skyburners they were to be put through hell either way.

Granted? There was work to deal with, plenty of it which could not and would not help much now.

Something like this only served to remind them of the fight they had before. The Skyburners had fought through hell, even been inside it in some ways… But not this, not ever this.

"The Primus orders us to pull all forces back to Phobos… Our campaign against the Hive has failed." One legionary stated.

He wanted to say something but understood why he could not. Their failed mission was NOTHING compared to what was to come, what they would deal with soon enough.

They had plenty of work left to do… But the fact a LIGHT USER had saved their Primus? Words would be spoken and oaths challenged in ancient tongues.

It was something that they would continue to relax… Something about it all had been too much for now and for good reason now…

He had a lot more left now… More than he could afford to bare… And would be able to bear it now.

It would be too much to handle… Far too much now and yet? It had to be done and dealt with now before something else came crashing down upon them all.

(With the Guardian)

The swarm of Hive soldiers was beginning to tick off the guardian. He knew damn well they were slowly falling apart and yet he had plenty of work left to do, plenty of ideas now and it would hurt badly when it was all said and done.

Something like this was going to be left wanting… They had plenty left to fight through now and it was too much at the end of the day before it came crashing to the ground in fire.

All of it had been managed now… Managed well. If nothing else? He could say he died with some valor as he fought off the enemy… It would be hard to deny that at the least when it came to fighting.

That and Oryx seemed to be pushing them down a dark path now.

He had a lot of ideas… A lot more had been done now… Something else would come to a head for now.

They would not be able to understand it properly… Something about it all had been too much now.

He had a lot of different things now and good… They had to end it all now and it was good now.

Fun.
